There has been recognition of the increasing importance of cooperation as an element of marketing strategy. Such cooperation is confined to four levels based on product development, sales promotion, pricing arrangements, and place (or distribution) mechanisms as the usual marketing 4Ps mixed (Varadarajan 1986). At present, however, little is known about the nature of tie-in promotion as a cooperative sales promotion comparing three other levels. The primary goal of this study is to examine the effect of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship on loyalty. The construct of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship is based on the previous research on consumer-brand relationship. In addition, this study divides the concept of loyalty into host brand loyalty and partner brand loyalty to reflect the characteristics of tie-in promotion including program in order to determine the effect of the consumer - tie-in promotion relationship on loyalty. The results showed that the three dimensions of the consumer - tie-in promotion relationship (i.e., commitment, intimacy, and interdependence) had significantly positive effect on program loyalty. The effect of program loyalty is significantly on both host and partner brand loyalty. This study empirically tested the relationships among consumer - tie-in promotion relationship, program loyalty, host brand loyalty, and partner brand loyalty, and then compared with the difference in the suggested model for the target customers and non-target customers. As a result, for target customers, intimacy and interdependence among dimensions of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship had significantly positive influence on program loyalty. In case of non-target customers, however, commitment and interdependence among dimensions of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship had significantly positive influence on program loyalty. Also, program loyalty had significantly positive impact on host brand loyalty and partner brand loyalty in both target and non-target customers. This study has significance in that it addresses the need to identify research and academic implications by analyzing the consumer - tie-in promotion relationship to determine the relationship between tie-in promotion and loyalty, which has not been clearly described by previous studies. Furthermore, this study builds a foundation for firms and managers actively using tie-in promotion to establish tie-in promotion strategies that can maximize loyalty for both host and partner brands from the consumers' point of view.
In the age where the Internet changes everything, even the earth has become flat. The boarders between nations, locations, times, and industries are not meaningful, and no single company can do the whole process well. Therefore, various types of 'Value network' and 'Relation web' emerge for moving first and learning fast. Both the relationship maturity model (RMM) proposed and the partnership management initiatives at SKT demonstrate that the concept is important, and that the final goal can be reached only through a series of critical outcome at each phase. In particular, recognizing as core infrastructures various online/offline channels, deep trust, and rich communications is an important finding for a successful relationship management. Also, related literatures suggest the following key factors to be influential in more than two phases: professionalism including expertise, similarity, channel infrastructure, trustful/trustworthy, and absorptive capacity. Based on these findings, future efforts need to be put on the research & development of related measurement and management tools. It is hoped that more dance with their partners through these efforts.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of elderly generation sympathy, family intimacy and age-friendly environment of young and middle-aged generations on supporting the older adults, and to identify differences of influencing factors among generations. With these purpose, we used data of the '2017 Age Integration Survey' provided by the Humanities and Social Capacity Enhancement Project in Korea Research Foundation. The analysis of the data was performed on 640 participants who were between 18 and 64 years old, and they were selected from total 1017 study population. The analysis method was the Structural Equation Model(SEM). The results of this study were as follow. Firstly, elderly generation sympathy and family intimacy were significant statistically significant effect on the notion of supporting the older adults positively to all generations. Secondly, the relationship between the notion of supporting the older adults and the influential factors suggested in this study was found to be significant among the generations. Thirdly, the young generation showed a statistically significant effect on the notion of supporting the older elderly generation sympathy and family intimacy. Elderly generation sympathy and family intimacy had a significant statistical impact in the middle aged generation, however, age-friendly environment significant statistically significant effect on notion of supporting the older adults negatively. With these results, we presented practical and policy suggestions to enhance the notion of supporting the older adults.

The objective of this study is to identify the types of relationship quality of department store fashion consumers. This study also aims to look at if consumers form different type of relationship quality with various relation partners. In this study, qualitative research was conducted on 25 female consumers to come to a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of fashion consumers' diverse loyal relationships. Fashion consumer's relationship quality consisted of 'self attachment', 'symbolic', 'trust', 'intimacy', 'compensational bind', and 'habitual alternative'. 6 relationship quality dimensions were distinguished according to each dimension's emotional involvement level and conscious activeness level of consumers. While self attachment was classified as emotional and active relationship quality, compensational bind and habitual alternative were typical relationship quality types of fashion store loyalty such as department store loyalty, thus classified as inertial and cognitive relationship quality type. This study might provide a useful direction to apparel brands and retailers in finding out which relationship quality type is more effective for differentiated marketing strategies.
This study examined the effect of preschooler's emotional intelligence, child-teacher relationships (intimacy, conflict and dependency) on children's social competence. A sample of 269 children (142 boys and 127 girls) aged 3 to 6 in Seoul or Gyeonggi-do participated in the Emotional Intelligence Scale, the Child-Teacher Relationships Scale and Social Competence Scale by teachers. Descriptive statistics, t -test, Pearson's correlation analysis and regression analysis analyzed data via SPSS ver. 20.0. This study followed a mediated effect model. The results showed that: (1) The emotional intelligence of girls was significantly higher than boys. However, the child-teacher relationship and children's social competence had no significant difference relationship to gender. (2) There was a mediating effect of child-teacher relationships between preschooler's emotional intelligence and social competence. The effect of emotional intelligence on social competence was partially mediated by intimate relationship, conflict relationship and dependency relationship. The degree of mediating effect was investigated in regards to conflict relationship, dependency relationship and intimate relationship. This study demonstrated that child-teacher relationships mediate the relationship between emotional intelligence and social competence of preschoolers.
Domestic pizza market in Korea is in the age of maturity, and competition in the market is getting intense. Brand personality that can prompt consumer sensibility is evaluated as a proper method to differentiate the image of a corporate rather than products or technology that can be copied easily by competitors. In this study, we examined the structural relationships among brand personality of pizza brands in Korea, customer-brand relationship quality, and repurchase intention with selected measurement based on Aaker's Big 5. Based on questionnaires answered by 291 customers, this study examined validity and reliability by using SPSS 16.0 and AMOS 5.0 for its hypotheses. The result of the study modelling were GFI=0.900, NFI=0.922, CFI=0.965, RMSEA=0.050 at the level of ${\chi}^2$=384.130(df=1.715, p<0.001). First, sincerity, competence, and sophistication of the pizza brand personality had a positive effect on intimacy. Second, sincerity, competence, sophistication, and strength of the pizza brand personality had a positive effect on brand partner quality. Also, intimacy and brand partner quality had a positive effect on repurchase intention. Therefore, in the practical perspective, pizza brand management can utilize the findings of specific pizza brand personality in creating a competitive edge for marketing.
This study attempts to examine the factors influencing the Caregiving responsibility of sibling without disability on their adult siblings with intellectual disability. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted on siblings without disability who have adult siblings with intellectual disability aged 18 years old or more and also who use services provided by 8 welfare centers for persons with disabilities in Seoul. With 132 valid responses, multiple regression technique was adopted in exploring a model for characteristics of adult with intellectual disability, a model for characteristics of siblings without disability, a model for relationship factors, and a comprehensive model. The findings of the study showed that the degree of disability in the model for characteristics of adult siblings with intellectual disability and the intimacy of siblings and social support in the model of relationship factors were significant. The result of the comprehensive model revealed that the degree of disability, the gender of the siblings without disability, the intimacy of siblings, and social support were significant. Especially, the relationship factors including the intimacy of siblings and social support were found to be the most significant factors in order to explain the caregiving responsibility. The findings of the study suggest that sibling program needs to be developed and disseminated in order to increase the understanding and the trust between adult with intellectual disability and sibling without disability, that a help is critical for adult with intellectual disability to extend the social network in which sibling without disability receives support from sibling without disability, family, friends, and other acquaintances around, and that different approach is needed in order to reduce caregiveing difficulties depending on the dependence of disability.
This study examined the mediating effects of self-esteem on the teacher-young child relationship and self-regulation ability of young children. A survey was conducted on a random sample of 252 young children aged 3-5 years attending a nursery in Gwang-ju, Korea. Based on the data, Person's correlations between variables were analyzed, and hierarchical regression analyses were conducted to identify the direct and indirect effects of the teacher-young child relationship and self-esteem on the self-regulation ability of the young children. First, there were positive correlations among the teacher-young child relationship (intimacy) and self-esteem as well as self-regulation ability. There were negative correlations among the teacher-young child relationship (conflict, dependence) and self-esteem as well as self-regulation ability. Second, self-esteem partially mediated the correlation between the teacher-young child relationship and self-regulation ability. The results suggest that self-esteem may affect the self-regulation ability of young children as a mediating response to the teacher-young child relationship.
The purpose of this study was to find the moderating effects of mother-child and teacher-child relationships in regard to the relationship between activity temperament and self-regulation ability in young children. The participants were 236 mothers and 15 teachers who were in charge of children, who were 5 years old in kindergartens or childcare facilities in Incheon Metropolitan City. The key research findings of this study were as follows: Firstly, the children's activity temperament exerted negative influence over their behavioral and emotional self-regulation ability. Secondly, it was found that an affectionate relationship between mother and child was proven to have some moderating effect, thus influencing the relationship between activity temperament and self-regulation ability in a child. Anyway, there was no moderating effect of the rejection in mother-child relationships on the relationship between activity temperament and self-regulation ability in a child. Thirdly, it was found that both intimacy and conflict in teacher-child relationships had no moderating effects when it came to the relationship between activity temperament and self-regulation ability in young children.
This study examined changes in family relationship focusing on the experience of husbands after the birth of their first child. The research questions were as follows: (1) what social and economic changes are experienced by Korean husbands (2) how to reform the dynamic from a dyad to a triad relationship (3) how the relationship changes with the experience of parenthoods. The participants in this research included six men and the data was gathered through half-structured interviews and analyzed using Van Manen's analysis guideline. The results were as: First, there was a distinct financial change to stabilize the role of the couple. Second, the husbands' voluntary participation in house work was influenced by the couples' intimacy. Third, the enriching dialogue between couples was related to becoming parents. Lastly, after child birth, husbands felt less attraction toward their wives as women and the sexual relationship was almost completely controlled by their wives.
