This study has been done with 1,431 subjects who visited Health Promotion Centers of the hospitals in Gumi for National Health Screening Program for People at Transitional Ages from April to December 2007. Serum biochemical tests related with metabolic syndrome were performed. Among biochemical factors related with metabolic syndrome, the mean values of serum glucose, AST, ALT, triglyceride and HDL cholesterol except LDL cholesterol were significantly higher in males than in females, so a significant difference by sex was observed (P<0.001). AST, ALT, triglyceride and HDL were thought to be significantly affecting serum GGT for males. In contrast, ALT and HDL cholesterol were important factors for females (P<0.001). For both sexes, serum glucose and LDL cholesterol did not produce any meaningful effect on serum GGT. In males AST, ALT and HDL cholesterol were associated with high risk of abnormality of serum GGT and in females AST, ALT and LDL cholesterol were related with high risk of abnormality of serum GGT. Therefore, AST and ALT showed a significant effect on abnormality of serum GGT in both males and females. It was observed that males exhibited significantly high correlation between metabolic syndrome related biochemical factors and serum GGT than females, and their influence on abnormality of serum GGT was also higher in males than in females. Therefore, serum GGT tests performed for health screening are considered to be useful for managements of cardiovascular diseases and metabolic syndrome as well as liver function test.
This study was explored the relationship of fit-related factors and, clothing evaluation criteria to clothing satisfaction. A total of 247 completed responses were obtained from a convenient sample of female students in their twenties. The statistical analysis methods included factor analysis, an ANOVA, and a multiple regression analysis. First, clothing evaluation criteria included practicality, product trait, and symbolism. Second, a comparison of clothing evaluation criteria and clothing satisfaction in groups divided by fit-related factors showed significant differences. In particular, the fat body type group showed higher level of the product trait and the thin body type group showed lower level of clothing satisfaction. The high activity group showed higher levels of clothing evaluation criteria and lower level of clothing satisfaction. Third, body type perception (-) and activity importance (-), fit-related factors, and practicality (+), clothing evaluation criterion had significant effects on clothing satisfaction. Therefore, These results suggest that fashion firms should make efficient use of fit-related factors and clothing evaluation criteria to enhance consumers' clothing satisfaction and to stimulate their purchase intention toward fashion goods.
Purpose: The number intelligent homecare products are focused on the development of technology, resulting in a lack of realistic environments or requirements for consumers. Second, the primary usability evaluation factors were derived for intelligent homecare products by collecting the factors related to usability evaluation and conducting in-depth interviews with experts. Third, the second usability evaluation factors were derived through survey and statistical analysis based on the derived usability evaluation factors. Results: As a result, users of intelligent homecare products were classified as primary users and secondary consumers and six related contexts. The usability evaluation scale was established with four factors - Functionality, Error, Convenience, and Emotion - and 13 items. Conclusions: This study can be the basis for developing and distributing products that meet the consumer environment and requirements related to intelligent homecare products that will contribute to securing the competitiveness of companies and developing the technology and service value of related industries.
Objectives: The objective of this study was to investigate the experience and point prevalence rate and factors related with Low Back Pain (LBP) in bin drivers. Methods: Questionnaires were completed by 200 drivers at 2 bus companies in Andong city in October.2000. The information was used to estimate odds ratio (OR) and $99\%$ confidence intervals (CI) for factors relation to LBP. A cross-section study design was used. Results: The experience rate for LBP was $53.5\%$, point prevalence rate was $31.5\%$. Variables significantly associated with LBP experience were employ duration and stress related occupation. The higher subjects had experienced stress. the higher experience for LBP was (OR=2.9, $95\%$ Cl 1.2-7.2). The longer subjects had employ duration in bus company, the higher experience far LBP was (OR=1.3, $95\%$ Cl 1.2-7.2). Significant factors relation to a week point prevalence far LBP were obesity and employ duration. LBP increased as weight increased (OR=4.1, Cl 1.6-10.7). The longer subjects has employ duration at bus company, the higher LBP is (OR=1.4. $95\%$ Cl 1.6-2.9). Conclusions: Results from this study indicated that a statistically significant factor relation to LBP was stress related occupation. employ duration, and obesity.
Background: This study was conducted to investigate factors related to unmet medical needs of medical care in adult diabetes patients and to suggest factors related to unmet medical in Korea. Methods: This study used data from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHNES) 2014-2017. The subjects of the study were conducted on patients with unmet medical needs experience among the patients and analyzed using the IBM SPSS ver. 25.0 program (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, USA). Results: Overall, 10.9% of patients had unmet medical needs. Being female, less educated, and lower medical aid were related to unmet medical needs. And subjects with poor subjective health and higher stress level were more likely to report unmet medical needs. Conclusion: Although comprehensive health insurance coverage, 10.9% of people with diabetes experienced unmet healthcare needs. The results of this study suggest that socioeconomic factors such as low education and medical aid were associated with unmet medical needs.

The sample of this study consisted of 118 cancer survivors, all of whom were diagnosed with cancer for more than 10 years later in 2016. Results : Regression analysis of major factors related to the quality of life of elderly cancer survivors showed that the results of 2006 and 2016 were different. In 2006, factors related to cancer were highly correlated with quality of life, but in 2016, it was associated with pain and depression. Conclusions : The results of this study confirm that the factors related to quality of life in cancer survivors change with survival period. Therefore, this study suggests comprehensive care strategies based on the stage of survivorship.
Objectives: Young adulthood represents a critical developmental period during which the use of tobacco may begin or cease. Furthermore, differences in smoking behaviors between younger (aged 18-24 years) and older (aged 25-34 years) young adults may exist. This study aimed to characterize patterns related to current smoking in younger and older young adults. Methods: This study used data acquired from the Sixth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey conducted from 2013 to 2014. A total of 2069 subjects were categorized as younger (712 subjects) and older (1357 subjects) young adults. The chi-square test was used to assess the relationships between smoking status and socio-demographic, health-related, and smoking-related factors. Multivariable logistic regression models were constructed to assess the factors affecting current smoking in these age groups. Results: The current smoking prevalence was 18.3% among the younger young adults and 26.0% among the older young adults. Sex, education level, occupation, perceived health status, alcohol consumption, and electronic cigarette use were related to current smoking in both age groups. Secondhand smoke exposure at home and stress levels showed significant relationships with smoking in younger and older young adults, respectively. Conclusions: Strong correlations were found between the observed variables and smoking behaviors among young adults. Determining the factors affecting smoking and designing interventions based on these factors are essential for smoking cessation in young adults.
The purpose of this study is to explore the factors related to high school students 'academic stress. This study uses data from KEDI's(KELS 2013 6th). First, personal factors, social support factors, and family-related factors showed statistically significant correlation with academic stress. Second, personal factors, family-related factors, and social support factors were all found to have statistically significant effects on high school students' academic stress. After controlling the personal factors and family-related factors, the social support factors further explain the academic stress of high school students by two percent, and the most influential variable among social support factors was the relationship with their parents.
