To effectively meet current regulations on the exhaust emissions of diesel engine required to control the deterioration of air pollution in the whole world, this study is to investigate the effects of water induction through the air intake system on the characteristics of combustion and exhaust emissions in IDI diesel engine. A method fur supplying water through the air intake system to reduce the exhaust emissions has been considered with other methods such as water introduction in the form of water-in-fuel emulsion or water injection directly into the combustion chamber, but it has not been studied about the effects of water on the combustion concepts and the characteristics of exhaust emissions in detail until now. In this study, the formation of NOx was significantly suppressed by decreasing the gas peak temperature during the initial combustion process because the water play a role as a heat sink during evaporating in the combustion chamber, but the smoke was slightly increased by increasing water amount.

Radar Cross Sections(RCS) for the radar targets are measured and their performance characteristics are analyzed through computer simulation. In addition, constructional features for the commercial radar reflectors are investigated. Then, the optimum design condition of a passive-type radar reflector was chosen. The results show that the octahedral-type radar reflector with 10$\lambda$ sized circular plates has best performance in X-band($\lambda$=3.2cm). However, to comply with newly adopted 2000 SOLAS regulations, larger sized circular plate is required to provide at both X-band and S-band.

Puerperants need postpartum care for the recovery to the condition before pregnancy. The postpartum care used to be done at home however, nuclear families and the industrialization of society brought postpartum care home, postpartum care home has two major problems; first, there is no rules and regulations for postpartum care home. Second, no reasonable guidelines of postpartum care home exist. This study inquires into those problems and directions of legalization and reasonable guidelines of postpartum care home. In sum, the legal system for the postpartum care home has to be built and the supervision has to be done by the specialist, in particular, by the oriental medical doctor. The postpartum care home should be supervised for the healthy rehabilitation of puerperants mental, social health as well as their bodies. Also the neonate that has wick immune system requires special care for the prevention of infection and for the adaptation to the environment.

Recent trend changes a criterion for evaluation of humors that environmental problems are raised as a global issue. Burners with higher thermal efficiency and lower oxygen in the exhaust gas, evaluated better. To comply with environmental regulations, burners must satisfy the NO/sub x/ and CO regulation. Consequently, 'good burner'means one whose thermal efficiency is high under the constraint of NO/sub x/ and CO consistency. To make existing burner satisfy recent criterion, it is highly recommended to develop a feedback control scheme whose output is the consistency of NO/sub x/ and CO. This paper describes the development of a real time flame diagnosis technique that evaluate and diagnose the combustion states, such as consistency of components in exhaust gas, stability of flame in the quantitative sense. In this paper, it was proposed on the flame diagnosis technique of burner using Neuro-Fuzzy algorithm. This study focuses on the relation of the color of the flame and the state of combustion. Neuro-Fuzzy loaming algorithm is used in obtaining the fuzzy membership function and rules. Using the constructed inference algorithm, the amount of NO/sub x/ and CO of the combustion gas was successfully inferred.

Purpose: This is for the purpose to help the bill related to technologists be systematic and unitary by carefully analyzing a legislation, an enforcement ordinance, and enforcement regulations in the connection with the radiological worker and the radiation workers from the law and regulations related to technologists. Materials and Methods: Concerning technologists, a legislation, an enforcement ordinance, and enforcement regulations for a sort of medical technician, regarding the radiological worker, the rules of diagnosis radiation equipment safety management, and concerning the radiation workers, atomic energy law, an enforcement ordinance and enforcement regulations were gathered, compared with one another, and analyzed. Results: Among technologists, in the case of working in the department of diagnosis radiation, the title 'Radiological Worker' is used by the Medical Service Law, and in the case of working in the department of radiation tumors or the one of nucleus medicine, the title 'Radiation Workers' is used by the Atomic Energy Law. Conclusion: Besides the technical term that is used by characteristic tasks, unification of the terms that can be used in common is necessary for sure. And when a legislation, an enforcement ordinance, enforcement regulations, and notification, things like that in the radiation field are amended, certainly they should be done by mutual agreement through negotiation between the organization related to radiation and the governmental organization.

This study is performed to secure the safety of civil aviation by establishing systematic analysis ability of Flight Data Recorder. Through this study, downloading SSFDR(Solid State Flight Data Recorder) to personal computer, editing interface file, flight data numerical analysis and regulations relayed to the aircraft with changes in destination airport in flight are performed. In the analysis, the flight data of B747-400 model aircraft between Los Angeles(KLAX) and Jeju(RKPC) was selected.

It is a present situation that the control on automobile emission is getting more restrictive and also the regulations for emission are changing greatly up to level of those advanced foreign countries. Specially, it has been many years that exhaust gases from gasoline automobile rather than from diesel is the major object concerned by Korea and other countries, and it is strongly required on the reduction techniques on harmful NOx and PM among those compositions. Thus, this research focused on the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and the target fur this research is heavy-duty turbo-diesel engine with EGR, and conducted with numerical simulation to get engine performance and the characteristics of emission. Furthermore. the results obtained under different conditions such as rpm, power, EGR rate are compared and investigated with the numerical simulation using KIVA-3.

FIDIC $(F\acute{e}d\acute{e}ration Internationale des Ing\acute{e}nieurs-Conseils)$ is the worldwide federation of consulting engineering member associations dedicated to developing relationships between the consulting engineering profession and governments, funding agencies, banks, industry, commerce, contractors, suppliers and other construction industry professions. Today FIDIC membership numbers nearly 70 member associations from all parts of the globe. The members of each national association comply with FIDIC's code of ethics which calls for impartial advice, competence and fair competition. FIDIC acts as a forum for the exchange of views and information and actively encourages the discussion of matters of mutual concern among member associations. FIDIC prepared regulations concerning tenders, it is a method of choice of investment contractor, which serves to optimum of utilization of investment funds. FIDIC procedure is the most often used in international tenders.

In this study, we adopt the strength variation (equation omitted) of electromagnetic waves by their distance. The location of antenna emitting electromagnetic waves is moved to its opposite side and the distance between human body and antenna is secured more. Therefore, the cellular phone designed in this study can reduce the impact of electromagnetic waves absorbed in local part of human body (in particular, head) and then can have competitiveness in the world market facing the regulations.
