대기천 유역에서의 강우기 유량-SS배출 특성 및 원인분석 연구 (Analysis of flow rate-SS discharges characteristics and causes during rainfall season in Daegi-cheon Watershed)

  • 대기천 유역은 한강 상류에 위치하고 있으며, 대표적인 고랭지 채소재배단지 중의 하나로 강우기 대규모 탁수를 배출하여 한강 상류의 수질 및 수생태계에 심각한 영향을 미치고 있다. 효과적인 탁수관리 및 정책제안을 위해서는 강우기 하천유량과 탁수(SS)농도의 특성 및 원인분석이 우선시되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 대기천 유역을 대상으로 강우기 유량과 SS농도 사이의 관계를 분석하고 이를 통해 탁수발생 특성을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 보통의 홍수유량상태에서는 다양한 주변 환경요소로 인해 임의적으로 변화하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 첨두홍수량상태에서는 SS농도가 매우 높게 나타났으며, 이는 현장방문관측을 통해 농경지 발생원뿐만 아니라 첨두홍수량에 따른 가파른 계곡과 사면의 붕괴에 의한 영향이 크게 기여한 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 통상적인 발생원관리대책과 함께 경지주변 사면안정과 하상유실을 제어할 수 있는 구조적 최적관리방법이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

서울, 안성지역 소나무 잎 중 PCBs와 PBDEs (PCBs and PBDEs in Pine Needles of Seoul and Ansung)

  • Polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) were measured in pine needles of Seoul, and Ansung(GyeongGi-do) to investigate composition, source, and regional concentration of PBDEs. Concentration of total PCBs in Seoul and Ansung showed 608, 945 pg/g DW (mean: 777 pg/g DW), respectively, also concentration of total PBDEs(pg/g DW) in Seoul and Ansung showed 7944, 14,255 pg/g DW(mean 11,100 pg/g DW). Tetrachlorinated biphenyls(Tetra-CBs) and Decabromodiphenyl ethers (Deca-BDE) were detected in relatively high concentration compared to other PBDE congeners in Seoul and Ansung. Correlation coefficients(r) of between PCB congeners in pine needles detected of Seoul and Ansung were significant (r=0.85, p<0.01). It suggested that PCBs concentration in pine needles may originate from secondary sources such as air-plant partition. The similarity of between PBDE congeners profile to those of the technical mixture formulation (Bromkal 70-5DE) suggests a source of this product in these sites.

Boundary Layer Ozone Transport from Eastern China to Southern Japan: Pollution Episodes Observed during Monsoon Onset in 2004

  • The trajectory analysis of boundary layer ozone data at four regional sites in the East Asian outflow regions in Japan was carried out together with boundary layer ozone data observed at Mt. Tai and Mt. Huang in the source region of central eastern China during the monsoon onset in May-June 2003 and 2004. At all sites, the influences of anthropogenic emissions from East Asia have been found. During May and June 2004, the evidences of direct pollution transport from central eastern China to Hedo, an outflow site in Okinawa Island were observed. Ozone mixing ratios associated with air masses from central eastern China averaged 45 ppb while those associated with clean air masses from the Pacific were only 14 ppb, which resulted in averaged 31 ppb increase of ozone mixing ratios during the pollution episodes from central eastern China at Cape Hedo. Using transport time analysis and averaging all ozone episodes transported from central eastern China, the ozone dilution rate of 5.4 ppb per day was roughly estimated during air masses transported from source to outflow regions at Hedo. In the regions nearby Japanese mainland, however ozone increases by long-range transports were more related to both domestic and East Asian sources as a whole.

Replacement of Soyflakes with Cottonseed Meal in Diets of Angora Rabbits

  • This experiment was conducted with 30 adult wool producing Angora rabbits of either sex, to evaluate the effect of replacing soyflakes (SF), on equal protein basis, with low gossypol containing cottonseed meal (CSM) either alone or in combination with lysine and methionine; on the biological performance, total wool yield, wool yield per shearing, wool characteristics and mortality. Three experimental mash diets were prepared by incorporating SF (6%) as standard / control protein source $(T_1)$ and CSM (9%) as test protein source ($T_2$ and $T_3$). In $T_3$, amino acids-lysine and methionine (0.1 % each) were added. Animals were given the experimental diets about $150g{\cdot}day^{-1}{\cdot}head^{-1}$, for a period of 225 d or three shearing, and ad libitum Kudzu-vines. No significant effect of $T_2$ or $T_3$, on the body weight gain, total wool yield, wool yield per shearing and wool characteristics, was observed compared to $T_1$. However, the digestibility of dry matter, crude fibers, ether extract, acid detergent fibers, neutral detergent fibers, cellulose and hemicellulose was significantly (p<0.05) depressed in CSM based diets. Mortality of about 20% was recorded in $T_2$ and $T_3$, but not related to the addition of CSM or gossypol toxicity. More studies are needed to standardize the safe level of CSM, duration of safe feeding of CSM, and level of amino acids supplementation in CSM based diets.

Chemical Compositions in Rainwater at Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan

  • From May 1999 to July 2000, concentration of 17 metals (Al, Ba, Ca, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, Pb, Sr, V, Zn), 4 ions (${NH_4}^+$, $Cl^-$, ${NO_3}^-$, ${SO_4}^{2-}$) and pH in rainwater were investigated. The volume-weighted mean concentrations (VWM) of ${NO_3}^-$ and ${SO_4}^{2-}$ were 16.0 and $17.0{\mu}mol\;L^{-1}$. The average pH was 4.53, which ranged from 3.83 to 6.06. The characteristic variations of these species were investigated in terms of the source of these species by principal component analysis (PCA) and interelement correlation coefficients. The elements were classified into three categories: anthropogenic source (Cd, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb, V, Zn, ${NH_4}^+$, ${NO_3}^-$, ${SO_4}^{2-}$ and $H^+$), soil and crust dust (Al, Ba, Ca, Fe, Mn) and sea salts (Mg, Na, $Cl^-$). In addition, we compared the concentrations in rainwater, which were taken on the same day in three sites (Higashi-Hiroshima, an urban-facing area and a mountain-facing area of Mt. Gokurakuji) in order to examine the regional effect against the concentrations in them. At the urban-facing area of Mt. Gokurakuji, the concentrations of chemical compositions were higher than other areas.

제조업체의 파워원천별 영업정책이 대리점의 판매의지에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Impacts of Manufacture's Sales Policy of Each Power Source on Sales Will by Agency)

  • 본 연구는 제조업체의 파원원천에 나타난 영업정책을 이용하여 지역판매 대리점의 판매의지에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구로써 제조업체와 대리점 간의 상생을 위한 영업정책을 개발하기 위한 것이다. 지역판매 대리점 관점에서의 판매의지란 "제조업체와 지역소매점을 연결하는 유통경로 상에 있는 지역판매 대리점이 제조업체에 대한 신뢰를 바탕으로 제조업체가 공급하는 제품 또는 서비스에 대하여 지역 소매상에 팔고자 하는 일방적인 의지와 사업의 지속여부의 정도를 나타내는 것"을 말한다. 본 연구 결과, 대리점 경영자들은 판매의지가 높고, 월매출액이 높으며 직원이 많은 대리점일수록 그렇지 못한 다른 대리점보다 판매의지가 상대적으로 높게 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히 파워원천별 영업정책을 이용한 각각의 가설 검증 결과는 첫째, 보상적 파워로써 점주 판촉물의 지원, 영업활동의 지원 등이 판매의지에 유의적인 영향을 나타났다. 둘째, 강권적 파워 중에서 마진폭 인하, 상대적인 마진폭, 여신한도의 축소 등이 불만의 요소로 작용하여 판매의지에 부(-)의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타나 가설이 부분적으로 채택되었다. 셋째, 준거적 파워로써 광고지원, 지역독점력 보장, 관련업계 선도자와 거래, 회사에 대한 신뢰 형성에 필요한 영업정책들이 가장 유의한 영향으로 나타났다. 넷째, 전문적 파워인 상품의 적기공급 지연, 본사 영업사원의 상품에 대한 지식 등이 판매의지에는 유의적인 영향관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 대리점의 평균 영업연수가 3년 이상이 약 70%를 차지하고 있어 대리점의 영업스킬이 상당히 수준으로 일상적인 영업정책지원은 만족도와 판매의지에 영향을 주지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.

Development of Analytical Method and Monitoring of Veterinary Drug Residues in Korean Animal Products

  • This study was conducted to determine the residual amount of veterinary drugs such as meloxicam, flunixin, and tulathromycin in animal products (beef, pork, horsemeat, and milk). Veterinary drugs have been widely used in the rearing of livestock to prevent and treat diseases. A total of 152 samples were purchased from markets located in major Korean cities (Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Daegu, Daejeon, Gwangju, Ulsan and Jeju), including Jeju. Veterinary drugs were analyzed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry according to the Korean Food Standards Code. The resulting data, which are located within 70-120% of recovery range and less than 20% of relative standard deviations, are in compliance with the criteria of CODEX. A total of five veterinary drugs were detected in 152 samples, giving a detection rate of approximately 3.3%; and no food source violated the guideline values. Our result indicated that most of the veterinary drug residues in animal products were below the maximum residue limits specified in Korea.

무경운 밭에서의 비점오염물질 저감효과 분석 (Analysis of NPS Pollution reduction from No-till Field)

  • Various Best Management Practices (BMPs) have been suggested to reduce soil erosion and non point source (NPS) pollutant loads from agricultural fields. However, very little research regarding water quality improvement with No-till (NT) has been performed in Korea. Thus, effects of NT were investigated in this study. The objective of the study was to investigate the effect of NT on the surface runoff and sediment discharge in a field. Eight experimental plots of $5{\times}30m$ in size and 3 % or 8 % in slope prepared on gravelly sandy loam soil were treated with Conventional-till (CT) and NT. Runoff and NPS pollution discharge were monitored and compared the treatments. The amounts of rainfall from 13 monitored events ranged from 28.7 mm to 503.5 mm. The runoff amount was reduced by 17.6~59.2 % in 3 % NT and 29.6~53.2 % in 8 % NT. The average NPS pollution loads of the 3 % NT plots and 8 % NT plot were reduced about 45.1~89.2 % and 47.7~98.0 % compared to those of the CT plots, respectively. This research revealed that NT can reduce the NPS pollution loads substantially as well as increase the crop yield. Runoff and NPS pollution loads reduction by NT method could be contribute to improve the water quality of streams in agricultural regions.

Enhancement of ${\beta}$-Glucosidase Activity from a Brown Rot Fungus Fomitopsis pinicola KCTC 6208 by Medium Optimization

  • ${\beta}$-Glucosidase, which hydrolyzes cellobiose into two glucoses, plays an important role in the process of saccharification of the lignocellulosic biomass. In this study, we optimized the activity of ${\beta}$-glucosidase of brown-rot fungus Fomitopsis pinicola KCTC 6208 using the response surface methodology (RSM) with various concentrations of glucose, yeast extract and ascorbic acid, which are the most significant nutrients for activity of ${\beta}$-glucosidase. The highest activity of ${\beta}$-glucosidase was achieved 3.02% of glucose, 4.35% of yeast extract, and 7.41% ascorbic acid where ascorbic acid was most effective. The maximum activity of ${\beta}$-glucosidase predicted by the RSM was 15.34 U/mg, which was similar to the experimental value 14.90 U/mg at the 16th day of incubation. This optimized activity of ${\beta}$-glucosidase was 23.6 times higher than the preliminary activity value, 0.63 U/mg, and was also much higher than previous values reported in other fungi strains. Therefore, a simplified medium supplemented with a cheap vitamin source, such as ascorbic acid, could be a cost effective mean of increasing ${\beta}$-glucosidase activity.

세계화가 중국 지역간 소득불균형에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증분석 (An Empirical Study on the Effect of Chinese Regional Income Disparity from Globalization)

  • 본 연구는 중국의 성(省)별 소득불균형의 추이를 살펴보고 패널 데이터 분석방법을 이용하여 지역별 소득불균형에 대한 세계화의 영향을 추정하였다. 실증분석을 위한 패널 자료는 중국의 지역별 소득불균형이 크게 확대되기 시작한 1990년부터 자료가 이용 가능한 2007년까지 중국의 29개 성별 자료를 이용하였다. 1990년대 중국의 성간 불균형은 크게 확대되는 추세를 보였으며, 2000년 이후 불균형 정도는 서서히 약화되는 것으로 나타났다. 중국을 대상으로 한 실증분석 결과는 성의 국제무역 규모 수준뿐만 아니라 전체 성들의 평균에 대한 비율 모두 중국의 성별 소득 불균형에 중요한 영향을 미치는 변수임을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 국제무역의 성장은 성간 소득불균형을 확대시킬 수 있음을 의미한다. 한편 중국의 각 성들은 넒은 영역을 포함하므로 각각의 성들 내에서도 도시와 농촌지역간 불균형이 지역간 소득불균형의 중요한 원인이 될 수 있다. 그러므로 지역간 균형발전을 위한 중앙정부의 서부대개발정책과 병행하여 소도시들에 대한 다양한 개발정책들이 필요함을 시사한다.
