This study was designed to develop and validate an isocratic reversed phase high performance liquid chromatographic(HPLC) method for the quantitation of sobrerol in drug preparations, and obtain the data pool that can be used in the revision of pharmacopoeia. The separation of sobrerol and the other compounds (S-carboxymethylcysteine, acetaminophen, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, and sobrerol degradants) was achieved in a C18 column with an acetonitrile-methanol-water(24.5:10.5:65.0) mobile phase. Any food additive as a chemical synthetic compound. whose criteria and standards are not notified publicly and foods using an food additives containing such a chemical synthetic compound or foods containing it shall not be sold. or manufactured. imported. processed. used. prepared. stored. transported. or displayed for the purpose of sale. Some food manufacturers have illegally added drugs to foods not notifying this. Moreover. structure-modified new drugs could be added. But it is almost impossible to detect these by ordinary laboratory inspection. Thus the study about the identification of analogues of pending drugs is imminent. (omitted)

Analytical results during the proficiency test managed by Kyungin Regional Korea Food ＆ Drug Administration were proposed to be influenced by several factors. Data of several factors were collected along with the test results with ibuprofen and sobrerol formulations. The collected data were the use of internal standard, academic background and career of analytical personnel, production size of the company and location of the participating laboratory. (omitted)

We want to actively cope with technological developments by improving our drug specification in Korean Pharmaceutical Codex. Pheniramine maleate and naphazoline HCl of Pheniramine Maleate and Naphazoline Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution were ordained as UV spectroscopy and HPLC, respectively. Simultaneous analysis of those using HPLC has been developed. The assays of two drug products were 97.2%, 102.2% (pheniramine maleate), 96.8%, 101.3% (naphazoline HC1) respectively ; the specification rage if 90.0∼110.0%. (omitted)

Drug dissolution test has been used for the purpose of both quality control of solid oral dosage forms and predicting in vivo drug release profiles. In this study, the dissolution profiles of buflomedil hydrochloride tablets and ticlopidine hydrochloride tablets were investigated according to the "Guidelines on Specifications of Dissolution tests for Oral dosage forms" of Korean Pharmacopoeia (KP). The analytical method using HPLC was validated. The validation was performed in terms of specificity, linearity, accuracy, precision and limit of quantitation.

Potentiometric sensors are important and viable devices for use in pharmaceutical analysis. liquid polymeric membrane electrodes for many basic drugs and a few acidic drug were reported. The acidic drug-metal(Ⅱ)-triethylene tetramine ion pair complexes were prepared and used in poly(vinyl chloride) membrane electrodes to analyze anionic drugs such as mefenamic acid and ibuprofen.
