The purpose of this study is to examine the transportation, equity and efficiency impacts of cordon pricing schemes in the Seoul Capital Region of Korea. Autos would be required to pay a toll of 2.000 Won each time they enter cordons around the CBD or the subcenters during morning peak periods. The imposition of the toll would produce a substantial decrease in traffic volumes within the cordons as well as throughout the Capital Region. The lower the income level of commuters is, the more the share of auto decreases and that of transit increases. For equity impacts, the welfare of commuters would increase or decrease according to the cordon pricing schemes but would produce progressive impacts irrespective of the schemes. However, the commuters who have the highest value of time would experience welfare gains and it would result in regressive impacts. The schemes would result in a substantial net social welfare gain for the efficiency impacts. When the toll is charged at the CBD cordon only, the net social welfare would increase more.
Purposes: This study has the purpose to the improvement of health promotion for local residents through delivery of high-quality medical service by improving imbalance of medical use and seeking an improvement plan for accessibility of effective medical service by understanding the pattern of medical use by region. Methodology: As for the method, this study derived results at the significance level of p<0.05 through chi square test(χ2 test) and Generalized Estimating Equation(GEE) SAS 9.4 version by using the data of the 7th Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing 2018. Findings: Study results show that local residents use medical service such as hospitalization care and outpatient visit more as compared to the residents in Gyeonggi-do/large or medium-sized cities. The more the number of chronic disease, the more they select hospitalization care rather than outpatient visit. Results also show that patients engaged in labour tend to select outpatient treatment rather than hospitalization treatment. Meanwhile, severity of disease turned out to be higher amongst medical care beneficiaries than that of national health insurance patients when comparing the types of medical security. Practical Implications: In stead of solving the problem of the difference in medical use by region from the aspect of income and economic level, an integrative solution shall be provided putting viewpoint on the social phenomenon suited to the changes of the times. This study suggests a plan for using a health and medical community care center that acts as a gate keeper of regional medical service.

The purpose of this research lies in possible effects of a tourist development, that is, studying inhabitants' attitude who live in sight-seeing place toward economic, social, cultural and ecological influences. The research was performed by questionaires through a spot survey from 1997, 7. 1 to 7. 1. The analysis about the result is as follows: First, the Inhabitants gave the positive responses on the economic effect of sightseeing but didn't answer affirmatively to its social consequences-education, criminal rate of teenagers live the place, on the matters of cultural influence they showed both positive attitude and future orientated and they took great interest in that the tourist development could pollute their environment. Second, the Inhabitants put the income increase on the first place among every aspect and the need of holding exhibitions about history and culture of that region giving a positive image to visitor, making severer restrictions on people dump refuse at the region, tourist development and investment for the local area following position in order.
Background: This study is designed to estimate the factors that affect the level of three different performance (publicity, efficiency, profitability) among regional public hospitals. Methods: The units of analysis are the regional 30 hospitals, which have the operating data during 22 years (from 1933 to 2014). The research method is used by fixed panel analysis. The publicity is measured by medicaid outpatient proportion and medicaid inpatient proportion. The efficiency is measured by two types of efficient score by DEA (data envelopment analysis). The profitability is measured by medical income to medical revenue and ROA (return on total asset). Results: At first, the increase of bed gives negative affect to the publicity but give positive effect to the efficiency and profitability. Because it means the increase of the region population, it gives more profitability compare to hospital with small number of beds. The more the operating period is the higher effect to the publicity and efficiency because of it's refutation. The debt ratio gives negative effect to publicity, but positive effect to profitability. It is the normal belief that there is inverse relationship between publicity and profitability. The turnover rate of bed gives the negative affect to the publicity, but positive affect to the efficiency and profitability. That give us the implication that type of the inpatient make different effect the hospital performance. The ratio of labor cost give negative effect to all kind of performance. That means that the higher labor cost don't mean the higher publicity and labor cost control is very important factors to hospital performance. So the region hospital have to focus the labor factors more to make higher performance. Conclusion: As the conclusion, the independent variables give similar effect to the efficiency and the profitability, but give inverse effect to the publicity. That means that if an region hospital want to make the more publicity, it loss the higher efficiency and profitability. Specially publicity is higher negative relation with the profitability.
Purpose: This study aimed to identify individual- and regional-level factors associated with perceived good health and multimorbidity among older adults. Methods: Secondary analysis of the 2017 Korea Community Health Survey was conducted on a sample of 67,532 older adults. The individual level data set was combined with regional-level factors from the administrative data released on the Korea National Statistical Office website. Distribution of perceived good health and multimorbidity in 254 public health centers were calculated using sampling weights and presented as percentages. Multilevel logistic regression analyses were used to identify individual- and regional-level factors associated with perceived good health and multimorbidity. Results: Overall, 21.1% of subjects perceived their health to be good, ranging from 9.3% to 39.4% by region. The prevalence of multimorbidity was 15.9%, and varied between 6.6% and 22.6% by region. At the individual level, perceived good health was associated with men, younger age, higher educational levels, higher income levels, and those married and living with a partner and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. At the regional level, higher rates of health center personnel among public officials and higher levels of financial independence were associated with perceived good health. Multimorbidity was associated with marital status and healthy lifestyle, and higher rates of health center personnel among public officials. Conclusion: Regional factors such as health care personnel and local economy could affect population health. Our findings suggest the need to consider individual- and regional-level factors to promote good health among older adults and reduce the health gap by region.

Objective: The objective of the study was to understand and document socio-economic characteristics, production parameters, challenges and management practices used by Fijian households which keep indigenous chickens. Methods: A survey involving 200 households was carried out in coastal and inland communities of Fiji's wet and semi-dry ecoregions. Data on the influence of ecoregion and location of households relative to the sea on management practices, challenges and productivity of indigenous chickens were analyzed using logistic regression and general linear model of SAS software. Results: Irrespective of location relative to the sea and ecoregion, households indicated that they kept indigenous chickens for food and income generation. The Welsummer was the most (p>0.05) preferred breed. Households in the semi-dry inland communities had the largest (p<0.05) flocks compared to those in semi-dry coastal communities and the wet region. Chickens in the semi-dry region performed better (p<0.05) than those in the wet region in terms of number of clutches per year and mature live weight. Predators and feed shortages were the biggest challenges faced by households in all areas. The mongoose was ranked as the most (p>0.05) common predator followed by domestic dogs. Most households in the wet ecoregion's coastal communities housed their chickens at night, whereas communities in semi-dry ecoregion housed their chickens most of the time (p<0.05). In all regions, no households sold their chickens to commercial markets (p>0.05). Households in semi-dry ecoregion were more likely (p>0.05) to sell their chickens at the local market place. Conclusion: The productivity of local chickens in Fiji is low because of feed shortage, predators such as the mongoose and lack of market linkages.
The purposes of this study were to determine consumers' characteristics that were shown according to their fashion leadership through examining the differences found with consumers' self-conception like the body cathexis and self-efficacy and clothing shopping orientation. The data were collected from 263 female college students using questionnaire. The results could be summarized as follows: First, the household income, subjective social class and clothing expenditure of the fashion leader group was larger than those of the fashion follower and laggard groups. Second, the fashion leader group showed higher body cathexis than the fashion follower and laggard groups in the lower body, the abdominal region, the bust shape, and the whole body shape. Thirdly, the higher was the fashion leadership, the higher was the self-efficacy. Forth, it was proved that the higher was the fashion leadership, the higher were the clothing shopping orientation such as home-shopping preference, hedonic shopping, impulsive purchasing, and brand loyalty.
Recently, according to the increase of income and development of quality of life, the leisure industry has been developed. In particular, the interest of design and manufacture technology of leisure yacht has significantly increased. However, domestic market of leisure ships is currently in its initiating stage. So research and development for structural strength of leisure yacht need to be investigated. In this study, lug of yacht's mast which is known for a critical damage region is explicitly considered. This paper deals with the estimation of stress concentration factors (SCFs) for lug of yacht's mast depending on dimensions of lug using hot spot stress. Also, SCF formulae is suggested using parametric study.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine factors influencing new graduate nurse turnover. Methods: This study was carried out as a secondary analysis of data from the 2010 Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey (GOMS). A total of 323 nurses were selected for analysis concerning reasons for turnover. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multilevel survival analysis. Results: About 24.5% of new nurses left their first job within 1 year of starting their jobs. Significant predictors of turnover among new nurse were job status, monthly income, job satisfaction, the number of hospitals in region, and the number of nurses per 100 beds. Conclusion: New graduate nurses are vulnerable to turnover. In order to achieve the best health of the nation, policy approaches and further studies regarding reducing new graduate nurse turnover are needed.
The purpose of this study was to compare the spatial structures for household activities according to the house size. multi-Dimentional Scaling analysis was done, using questinonaire data from 349 middle income housewives living in apartment in the area of Captital region. This was an extended article of previous one. In case of house whose size was less than 20 Pyung, washing cloth and bathing behavior took place in the same place whereas in other house size, bathing behavior was incoperated into various behaviors usually shown in the bedroom. The ideal structure in the house of 20 Pyung's showed home office space closer to the bedroom area whereas in others it appeared independently.
