용접식 판형 열교환기의 성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental study on the performance of a brazed plate heat exchanger)

  • An experimental study on the performance evaluation of a brazed plate heat-exchanger with 10RT of normal cooling capacity has been carried out. In the present study, a brazed type plate heat exchanger was tested at a chevron angle $25^{\circ}$ with refrigerant R-22. Mass flux was ranged from $23\;to\;58kg/m^{2}s$ in condensation, and from $22\;to\;53kg/m^{2}s$ in evaporation. The heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop increased with the mass flux increases. The water side pressure drop increased with the cooling water flow rate and chilled water flow rate increases, while mass flux has little affect. It is also shown that the system performance can be improved by enlarging condensation heat transfer area.

R744-R404A 캐스케이드 냉동시스템의 최적 냉매 충전을 위한 질량유량비 분석 (Mass flow rate ratio analysis for optimal refrigerant charge of a R744 and R404A cascade refrigeration system)

  • 본 논문은 R744-R404A 캐스케이드 냉동시스템의 최적 냉매 충전을 위해 과냉도, 과열도, 내부열교환기 효율 등에 대한 영향을 분석한 것이다. 연구에 사용된 캐스케이드 냉동시스템의 고온 사이클에는 R404A, 저온 사이클에는 R744를 적용하였다. 그 주요 결과는 다음과 같다 : 고온 사이클의 과냉도, 과열도, 내부열교환기 효율과 저온 사이클의 증발온도와 압축효율은 크게 할수록 질량유량비가 작게 나타났다. 그리고 캐스케이드 온도차와 고온 사이클의 증발온도, 응축온도와 저온 사이클의 과냉도, 과열도, 내부열교환기 효율은 작을수록 질량유량비가 작게 나타났음을 확인하였다.

내부열교환기와 TXV를 적용한 자동차용 공조시스템의 성능에 관한 수치적 연구 (Simulation on the performance of an automobile climate control system with Internal heat exchanger and TXV)

  • 최근에 지구온난화 문제로 인하여 자동차 공조시스템은 GWP 지수가 높은 R134a 냉매를 대체할 수 있는 대체 냉매를 적용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 R1234yf 냉매를 사용하여 내부열교환기와 가면용량형 팽창밸브인 TXV를 적용한 자동차 공조시스템의 성능특성을 해석하였다. 상용 소프트웨어인 Amesim을 이용하여 주요 부품인 압축기, 응축기, 팽창장치, 증발기와 내부열교환기를 모델링을 하여 외기온도와 응축기 휜 피치 변화에 따른 냉동사이클 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 외기온도가 30℃에서 40℃로 증가함에 따라 시스템의 냉방용량은 3.1% 감소하고, 압축기 소비동력은 17.1% 증가하였다. 또한, 응축기의 휜 피치를 0.8 mm에서 1.4 mm로 증가시키면서, 사이클 성능특성을 해석하였다. 휜 피치가 1.0 mm 클 경우에 응축기의 방열량은 감소하였고, COP는 5.9% 까지 감소하였다. 응축기 휜 피치가 1.0 mm 보다 작은 0.8 mm에서는 시스템 성능에 큰 변화가 없어 휜 피치 1.0 mm에서 최적의 성능을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다.

응축압력 변화에 따른 R407C의 응축특성에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on Condensation Characteristics at Various Condensation Pressure of R407C)

  • R407C is considered as alternative refrigerant of R22 for air conditioners. Experimental investigation is made to study the condensation heat transfer characteristics of slit fin-tube heat exchanger using alternative refrigerant, R407C. Experiments are carried out at condensation pressure of 2110 kPa and 1943 kPa with the degree of superheat of 1$0^{\circ}C$ and mass flux varying from 150 to 250 kg/$m^2$s for refrigerant side. The inlet air condition is dry bulb temperature of 35$^{\circ}C$, relative humidity of 50% and air velocity varying from 0.8 to 1.6 m/s. Experiments show that pressure drop gets smaller at a higher condensation pressure especially when condensation pressure is raised from 1943 to 2110 kPa. Heat transfer rate gets smaller at a lower condensation pressure in the range of experimental condition.

원형 세관내 대류비등열전달에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Flow Boiling Heat Transfer inside Small-Diameter Round Tubes)

  • Flow boiling heat transfer in small-diameter round tubes has been experimentally studied. The experimental apparatus consisted mainly of refrigerant pump, condenser, receiver, test section of a 1.67 mm inner-diameter round tube and pre-heater for control of refrigerant quality at the inlet of test section. To investigate the effect of bubble nucleation site characteristics of different tube materials, three different tubes of copper, aluminum and brass were used. The ranges of the major experimental parameters were 5∼30 ㎾/$m^2$ of the wall heat flux, 0.0∼0.9 of the inlet vapor quality and the refrigerant mass flux was fixed at 600 kg/$m^2$s. The experimental results showed that the flow boiling heat transfer coefficients in small tubes were affected only by heat flux, but independent of mass flux and vapor quality. The effect of tube material on flow boiling heat transfer was observed small.

프로필렌 냉매의 응축열전달 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Condensing Heat Transfer Characteristics of Propylene Refrigerant)

  • This paper deals with the heat transfer characteristics of R-1270 (Propylene), R-600a (Iso-butane) and R-290 (Propane) as an environment friendly refrigerant and R-22 for condensing. The experimental apparatus has been set-up as a conventional vapor compression type heat pump system. The test section is a horizontal double pipe heat exchanger. A tube diameter of 12.70 mm with 1.32 mm wall thickness is used for this investigation. The test results showed that the local condensing heat transfer coefficients of hydrocarbon refrigerants were higher than that of R-22. The average condensing heat transfer coefficient was obtained with the maximum value in R-1270 and the minimum one in R-22. Comparing the heat transfer coefficient of experimental results with that of other correlations, the presented results had a good agreement with the Cavallini-Zecchin's correlation. It reveals that the natural refrigerants can be used as substitute for R-22.

냉매 R-407c의 수평평골 응축관내 열전달특성에 관한 연구 (Heat transfer characteristics of R - 407C condensing inside smooth horizontal tubes)

  • Experimental results for forced convection heat transfer of pure refrigerant and nonrefrigerant mixtures during condensing inside horizontal smooth tubes, double pipe heat exchanger of 7.5 mm ID and 4 000 mm long inside tube, are presented. Pure refrigerant R - 22 and R - 407 c, the mixture of R - 32 + R - 125 + R - 134a (23/25/52, wt %) are used as the test fluids. The ranges of parameters are $114.3{\sim}267.1 kg/(m^2 {\cdot} s)$ of mass velocity, <0$\sim$1.0 of quality. The vapor pressure, vapor temperature and tube wall temperature were measured. Using these data, the local and average heat transfer coefficients for the condensation are obtained. At the same given experimental conditions, the condensation heat transfer coefficients for NARMs R - 407c were lower than those for the pure refrigerant of R - 22. Local heat transfer characteristics for R - 407c were different from pure refrigerant R - 22. The condensaheat transfer coefficients for R - 407c and R - 22 increased with mass velocity. Based on the data a prediction method was presented for the calculation of dimensionless average heat transfer coefficient.

자동차 공조용 증발기의 고성능화에 관한 연구 (Study on Development of High Performance Evaporator for Automotive Air Conditioner)

  • The object of the present study is to develop a high performance evaporator for automotive air conditioner. The experiment has been conducted on evaporative heat transfer coefficient inside a plate type heat exchanger with a sharp 180-degree turn flow. The test plates have different formed surface, cross-ribbed channel and elliptical-ribbed channel. Also experimental study has been performed to determine optimal design in elliptical-ribbed plate heat exchanger with different turn clearance. In addition to the above experiments, refrigerant behavior and surface temperature distribution in the plate heat exchanger were observed using color thermoviewer(infrared thermometer). In this experiment, working fluid was used R-12 and test conditions were as follows : (1) saturation pressure of $2.116kg/cm^2$, (2) mass fluxes of 40 to $70kg/m^2s$, (3) heat fluxes of 4,500 to $7,300W/m^2$, (4) inlet quality of 0.1 to 0.7. The results indicated that the evaporative heat transfer coefficient of an elliptical-ribbed plate heat exchanger was higher than that of cross-ribbed plate heat exchanger. Also optimal turn clearance in an elliptical-ribbed plate heat exchanger was determined.

  • The heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop during gas cooling process of carbon dioxide in a helically coiled tube were investigated experimentally. The experiments were conducted without oil in the refrigerant loop. The main components of the refrigerant loop are a receiver, a variable speed pump, a mass flowmeter, a pre-heater, a gas cooler(test section) and an isothermal tank. The test section is a double pipe type heat exchanger with refrigerant flowing in the inner tube and water flowing in the annulus. It was made of a copper tube with the inner diameter of 4.85 [mm], the outer diameter of 6.35 [mm] and length of 10000 [mm]. The refrigerant mass fluxes were 200${\sim}$600 [kg/$m^2$s] and the average pressure varied from 7.5 [MPa] to 10.0 [MPa]. The main results were summarized as follows: The heat transfer coefficient of supercritical $CO_2$ increases, as the cooling pressure of gas cooler decreases. And the heat transfer coefficient increases with the increase of the refrigerant mass flux. The pressure drop decreases in increase of the gas cooler pressure and increases with increase the refrigerant mass flux.

  • The plate heat exchanger is characterized. by low pressure drop and high heat transfer coefficient. The experimental study has been performed on the condensation heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of the plate heat exchangers in this study. In the present study, a brazed type plate heat exchanger was investigated at a chevron angle of $45^{\circ},\;55^{\circ},\;and\;70^{\circ}$ with R410A. Condensation temperatures were varied from $20^{\circ}C\;and\;30^{\circ}C$, and mass flux was ranged from $13{\sim}34\;kg/m^{2}s$ with constant heat flux ($=5\;kw/m^{2}$). The heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop increased with the chevron angle. Average condensation heat transfer coefficients and pressure drops are decreased with increasing condensation tempeature.
