플라즈마와 촉매를 이용한 농용 디젤기관 배기가스 중의 NOx 저감에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on NOx Reduction in Exhaust Gas from Agricultural Diesel Engine with Plasma and Catalyst)

  • To remove nitrogen oxides(NOx) in exhaust gas of diesel engine, three-way catalytic process with plasma discharger has great possibilities. Characteristics of NOx removal depends on NO conversion to NO$_2$and/or HNO$_3$due to high activation energies for NO oxidation and reduction. NOx removal efficiency by using three-way catalytic with plasma discharger indicated about 50% at 40watt power consumption condition.

환원제로 우레아를 사용하는 SNCR 공정에서 첨가제 적용에 따른 탈질효율 향상 연구 (Improvement of DeNOx efficiency of SNCR Process with Chemical Additives in Urea Soution)

  • 염색 산업에서 발생하는 염색폐수는 적절한 처리가 필요한 유해 폐수로 분류된다. 파이롯트 규모의 선택적 무촉매 환원반응 (SNCR) 실험 장치에서 염색폐수를 연소 배가스에 포함된 질소산화물을 효과적으로 저감할 수 있는 첨가제로 사용하는 연구를 수행하였다. 염색 산업에서 배출되는 염색폐수는 환원제의 첨가제로 사용되기 위해서는 표준화된 제제 형태이어야 하며 이를 위해 여러 단계의 정제과정을 거쳤다. 엄격하게 처리되어야 할 염색폐수는 적어도 유용성 면에서 약 87%의 NO 저감 효율을 보일 정도로 만족할 만한 효율을 보이나, CO 제거에서는 거의 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 첨가제 첨가효과는 $750-1150^{\circ}C$ 구간에서 처음에는 온도가 증가함에 NO 제거 효율이 증가하다가 그 다음에는 감소하는 형태를 보인다. 최적의 온도조건에서 최대의 NO 제거 효율은 87% 이었다. 염색폐수에 포함된 약 1000ppm의 Na 화합물의 영향으로 NO 저감 효율 면에서 약 10%의 효율 향상이 있었으며, 이와 더불어 첨가제를 첨가하지 않은 경우에 비해 $N_2O$ 저감 효율과 SNCR 반응의 반응온도 확장 면에서 뚜렷한 효율 증진을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 망간계 금속산화물을 이용한 저온 선택적 촉매 환원 반응에 대하여 연구하였다. 망간계 금속산화물은 $200^{\circ}C$ 이하의 저온에서 우수한 탈질 특성을 보인다. 온도에 따른 $NH_3/NOx$ 몰비 변화 실험을 통하여 미반응 암모니아의 배출은 몰비가 증가하고 온도가 감소할수록 증가하였으며, $NO_2$의 발생은 반대의 현상을 보였다. $NO_2$는 NO가 촉매 표면에 흡착된 후 nitrate종으로 산화되어 생성되는 것으로 보인다. 촉매 표면에 생성된 nitrate종과 흡착된 암모니아가 반응하기 때문에 $NH_3/NOx$ 몰비 1.0 이상에서도 미반응 암모니아의 배출이 없었다. 담지된 금속산화물의 영향은 Zr은 산화상태를 증가시켜 $NO_2$의 배출이 증가하였으며, Ce를 첨가시킨 경우 $NO_2$ 발생량이 감소하였다. 그러나 금속산화물의 첨가는 전체적으로 NOx 전환율을 감소시켰다

측두하악관절내장 환자의 진단분류에 따른 하악운동 특성의 분석 (Analysis of the Mandibular Movements in Patients with Internal Derangement of the Temporomandibular Joint According to Diagnostic Subgroups)

  • The purpose of this study was analyse the mandibular movements in patients with internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint according to diagnostic subgroups. The author classified patients with internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint into 4 diagnostic subgroups by means of the magnet resonance imagings, and evaluated the clinical signs and the mandibular movements with Mandibular Kinesiograph(MKG) in each subgroups. The mandibular movements, measured in this study, were the types of movement in frontal and sagittal plane, velocities in opening and closing movement, and the opening and closing movement, and the opening and closing velocity pattern. The data were compared between the 5 groups including the normal group. The results were as follows : 1. Pain was more frequently observed in the anterior disc displacement without reduction group than in the anterior disc displacement with reduction group. Sound of joint was more frequently observed in the anterior disc displacement with reduction group, and limitation of mandibular opening movement was more frequently observed in the anterior disc displacement without reduction group. Duration of the anterior disc displacement without reduction group was significantly short compared to that of the anterior disc displacement with reduction group, and duration of the unilateral anterior disc displacement without reduction group was shortest in the experimental group. The frequency of Angle's classifications had not significant correlations between the experimental groups. 2. Active and passive range of the opening movement, maximum protrusive movement, maximum lateral movement toward left side were significantly decreased in the experimental groups compared to the control group, but there was no significant difference in the range of the maximum lateral movement toward right side between the control and experiment groups. In unilateral anterior disc displacement without reduction group, the range of maximum lateral movement toward unaffected side was no significant difference in the range of the maximum lateral movement between toward affected side and toward unaffected side. 3. Maximum opening velocity, maximum closing velocity, average opening velocity, average closing velocity and maximum velocity of terminal tooth contact were significantly decreased in the experimental groups compared to control group. There was no significant difference in maximum opening velocity and maximum velocity of Terminal tooth contact between the subgroups of the experimental group each other, but there was significant difference in maximum closing velocity, average opening velocity and average closing velocity between the subgroups each other. 4. In the frontal plane of the MKG, the frequency of complex deviation type(F-2)pattern was significantly increased in the anterior disc displacement with out reduction group compared to the anterior disc displacement with reduction group and the control group. In the sagittal plane, the frequency of coincident type(S-1)was decreased in the same group. 5. In the maximum opening velocity pattern, the frequency of no-peak type (OV-3)in the unilateral anterior disc displacement with reduction group was significantly increased compared to the control group. The frequency of 1-peak type (OV-1) and 2-peak type (OV-2) was decreased in the anterior disc displacement with out reduction group, but the frequency of no-peak type (OV-3)was increased in the same group. In the maximum closing velocity pattern, the frequency of no-peak type (CV-3) was significantly increased in the anterior disc displacement without reduction group. Compared to the anterior disc displacement with reduction group and the control group. The frequency of 1-peak type (CV-1) and 2-peak type (CV-2) in the anterior disc displacement with reduction group was decreased than that in the control group.

$NO_x$ Chemistry Over Rutile $TiO_2$(110) Surfaces

  • We present our recent temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) study on catalytic reductions of $NO_x$ such as NO, $NO_2$, and $N_2O$ over rutile $TiO_2$(110) surfaces. Our results indicate that $NO_2$/NO readily reacts to give NO/$N_2O$ desorption at the substrate temperature as low as 100 K/70 K. Interestingly, $N_2O$, however, does not dissociate into $N_2$ and $O_{BBO}$ over the oxygen vacancy on the $TiO_2$(110) surface. Successive reduction of NO and $NO_2$ into $N_2O$ and NO, respectively, leaves oxygen atoms on the $TiO_2$(110) surface in a form of $O_{ad}$, which can induce additional reductive channels of NO and $NO_2$ at higher temperatures up to 400 K. During the repeated TPD cycles of $NO_x$, our x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis indicates that no N atom accumulates on the $TiO_2$ surface.

지층 및 이화학 특성을 고려한 방사형 집수정의 취수량 감소 원인 분석 (Cause of Groundwater Yield Reduction in a Collector Well Considering Sediment's Composition and Hydrogeochemical Characteristics)

  • 경기도 안성천 유역에 설치된 강변여과수 시설의 취수량 감소 원인에 대하여 4개 수평정(1, 4, 6, 7번) 주변의 대수층 매질 특성, 수리전도도의 분포 등을 토대로 검토하였다. 시험 양수 기간 동안 1번 수평정은 $12.4m^3/d/d$, 4번은 $2.3m^3/d/d$, 6번은 $24.4m^3/d/d$, 7번은 $187.3m^3/d/d$의 경향으로 7번 수평정의 취수량 감소가 뚜렷하였다. 7번 수평정 주변은 국지적으로 수리전도도가 매우 낮은 구간이 존재하며, 전체적으로 균등 계수가 크고 수평 깊이별로 균등계수의 차이가 심하여 세립분의 이동에 의한 공극 막힘이 발생한 것으로 평가된다. 또한, 철 이온($Fe^{2+}$) 농도가 높아 양수 및 주입시 철산화물이 형성되면서 clogging을 야기하는 것으로 보인다. 향후 장기 양수 과정에서 대수층의 물리특성 및 수질 특성 변화를 분석한다면 취수량 감소에 대한 정확한 원인 규명이 가능할 것이다.

  • Spherical Ag powder was prepared in the system of $AgNO_3\;and\;NaBH_4$ by wet chemical reduction method. The size of Ag powder was increased as the reaction temperature and the concentration of reducing agent was decreased in the constant concentration of dispersion agent. Optimum conditions of producing Ag powder having $1.39{\mu}m$ of D50 was 1M of $AgNO_3$, 0.5M of $NaBH_4$, 1.5g of Gelatine in the room temperature.

Characteristics of NOx Emission with Flue Gas Dilution in Air and Fuel Sides

  • Flue gas recirculation (FGR) is a method widely adopted to control NOx in combustion system. The recirculated flue gas decreases flame temperature and reaction rate, resulting in the decrease in thermal NO production. Recently, it has been demonstrated that the recirculated flue gas in fuel stream, that is, the fuel induced recirculation (FIR), could enhance a much improved reduction in NOx per unit mass of recirculated gas, as compared to the conventional FGR in air. In the present study, the effect of FGR/FIR methods on NOx reduction in turbulent swirl flames by using N$_2$ and CO$_2$ as diluent gases to simulate flue gases. Results show that CO$_2$ dilution is more effective in NO reduction because of large temperature drop due to the larger specific heat of CO$_2$ compared to N$_2$ and FIR is more effective to reduce NO emission than FGR when the same recirculation ratio of dilution gas is used.

중형 운행 경유차용 Urea-SCR 시스템의 아랫첨자 $NO_X$ 저감성능에 미치는 영향인자 (Influential Factors for NO_X Reduction Performance of Urea-SCR System for an In-use Medium Duty Diesel Engine)

  • This study is a part of project of urea-SCR system development for an in-use medium duty diesel engine. This study shows the effect of ammonia oxidation catalyst and SCR volume on $NO_X$ reduction performance. When AOC(Ammonia Oxidation Catalyst) is not used, the urea injection should be controlled accurately to prevent $NH_3$ slip. However, it is found that the accurate $NH_3$ slip control is not easy without AOC in real engine operating conditions, because $NH_3$ and $NO_X$ reaction characteristics change with many factors such as exhaust gas temperature and $NH_3$ absorbance on SCR. SCR volume is also one of important design parameters. This study shows that $NO_X$ reduction efficiency increases with increase of SCR volume especially at high space velocity and low exhaust gas temperature conditions. Additionally, this paper shows the emissions of EURO-2 medium duty diesel engine can be improved to the level of EURO-5 with a DPF and urea-SCR system.

부분적 예혼합 LPG/공기 화염에서 음향자진이 NOx 배출에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Acoustic Excitation on NOx Emission in Partially Premixed LPG/Air Flames)

  • Measurements of NO and NOx emission of laminar partially premixed LPG/air flames with and without acoustic excitation are reported. The NOx emission at the tailpipe of a combustion chamber is determined by chemiluminescent analyser. The NOx measurements are taken in flames with several different center tube equivalance ratio( ø$\sub$o/), and overall equivalace ratio(ø$\sub$o/) for a fixed fuel flowrate. The NOx emission decrease to reach a minimum value at an optimum ø$\sub$c/ 2. Theø$\sub$c/ 2 flame gives a compromise of thermal NO and prompt NO mechanism. In the case of excitation. the visual shape of the flame is changed from laminar flame to turbulent-like flame. With increasing levels of excitation amplitude, an optimum value of the NO and NOx emission exists. A shorter flame caused by the enhanced upstream mixing due to acoustic excitation results in the reduction of NO and NOx emission in the present flames. The reduction of flame length affects the shorter residence time of center tube mixture, and significantly influences the NOx reduction.
