제조업 전력 사용 효율성 제고를 통한 온실가스(CO2) 감축 잠재량 추정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the CO2 Reduction Potential by Means of Increased Efficiency of the Electricity)

  • 본 연구에서는 생산 기술적 측면에서 개별 사업체의 투입요소 효율성을 제고함에 따라 절약할 수 있는 전력 사용량 및 이에 따른 온실가스 감축 잠재량을 추정하였다. 이를 위하여 자료포락분석기법(DEA)를 이용하여 제조업체의 투입요소 기술적 효율성을 추정하고 이를 토대로 온실가스 저감량을 추정하였다. 2008년도 제조업체 평균 기술적 효율성은 규모에 대한 보수(Returns to Scale) 가정에 따라 0.467-0.643으로 추정되었다. 이를 토대로 제조업의 전력사용 효율성을 개선함에 따른 온실가스 절감가능량은 전력 사용에 따라 발생하는 총 온실가스 발생량의 17.1-25.5%에 해당하는 양으로 추정되었다. 우리 정부가 2020년까지 온실가스를 BAU 대비 30% 가량 감축하기로 발표하였는데 본 연구에서처럼 제조업체 투입요소의 기술적 효율성을 제고함으로써 이러한 정부 정책 실현을 가시화할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 소량의 시료로서 미토콘드리아 및 SMP호흡의 속도론적 연구에 이용할 수 있는 적하수은전극 polarograph를 제작하여 그 성능, 실험조건 및 응용성을 검토하였다. 산소의 제 2단계환원이 일어나는 전위 (약 -1.2 vs SCE)는 막에 결합된 환원성물질의 환원전류로 해석되는 상당한 크기의 잔존전류를 일으키기 때문에 부적절한 것으로 판단되었다. 그러나 산소의 제 1단계환원이 일어나는 -0.4V(vs SCE)하에서는 잔존전류가 관찰되지 않았으며 산소농도의 변화는 정량적으로 추적되었다. 호흡기질의 농도를 충분히 크게 유지하는한 호흡에 의한 용존산소 소모는 O차반응의 처리가 가능하였으며, 그속도 상수와 미토콘드리아 호흡활성간에는 비례관계가 성립되었다. 내냉성이 서로 다른 몇가지 식물조직으로부터 분리한 미토콘드리아의 호흡활성에 미치는 온도효과를 조사하고 호흡활성전이온도를 측정하므로서 제작한 장치의 효용성을 확인하였다.

Investigation of Low-Cost, Simple Recycling Process of Waste Thermoelectric Modules Using Chemical Reduction

  • A low-cost and simple recycling process of waste thermoelectric modules has been investigated using chemical reduction methods. The recycling is separated by two processes, such as dissolving and reduction. When the waste thermoelectric chips are immersed into a high concentration of $HNO_3$ aqueous solution at $100^{\circ}C$, oxide powders, e.g., $TeO_2$ and $Sb_2O_3$, are precipitated in the $Bi^{3+}$ and $HTeO{_2}^+$ ions contained solution. By employing a reduction process with the ions contained solutions, $Bi_2Te_3$ nanoparticles are successfully synthesized. Due to high reduction potential of $HTeO{_2}^+$ to Te, Te elements are initially formed and subsequently $Bi_2Te_3$ nanoparticles are formed. The average particle size of $Bi_2Te_3$ was calculated to be 25 nm with homogeneous size distribution. On the other hand, when the precipitated powders reduced by hydrazine, $Sb_2O_3$ and Te nanoparticles are synthesized because of higher reduction potentials of $TeO_2$ to Te. After the washing step, the $Sb_2O_3$ are clearly removed, results in Te nanoparticles.

Study on properties of eco-friendly reduction agents for the reduced graphene oxide method

  • We studied the basic properties and fabrication of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) prepared using eco-friendly reduction agents in the graphene solution process. Hydrazine is generally used to reduce graphene oxide (GO), which results in polluting emissions as well as fixed nitrogen functional groups on different defects in the graphene sheets. To replace hydrazine, we developed eco-friendly reduction agents with similar or better reducing properties, and selected of them for further analysis. In this study, GO layers were produced from graphite flakes using a modified Hummer's method, and rGO layers were reduced using hydrazine hydrate, L-ascorbic acid, and gluconic acid. We measured the particle sizes and the dispersion stabilities in the rGO dispersed solvents for the three agents and analyzed the structural, electrical, and optical properties of the rGO films. The results showed that the degree of reduction was in the order L-ascorbic acid ${\geq}$ hydrazine > glucose. GO reduced using L-ascorbic acid had a sheet resistance of $121k{\Omega}/sq$, while that reduced using gluconic acid showed worse electrical properties than the other two reduction agents. Therefore, L-ascorbic acid is the most suitable eco-friendly reduction agent that can be substituted for hydrazine.

효모를 사용한 친환경 인디고 염색: 알칼리수용액 종류에 따른 환원력 (Eco-friendly Indigo Dyeing using Baker's Yeast: Reducing Power according to Alkaline Solution Type)

  • Baker's yeast(Saccharomyces cerevisiae) was used as a biocatalyst for eco-friendly indigo dyeing and the reducing power of yeast according to the alkaline solution type was compared. NaOH solution, lye, and buffer solution were used as alkaline solutions. The reducing power(K/S value, oxidation/reduction potential(ORP), pH) was monitored according to the elapsed time including the initiation of reduction, peak reduction, and the end of reduction. In all alkaline solutions, it was confirmed that yeast can be used reducing agent in indigo reduction dyeing. The pH stability and reducing power of buffer solution was better than that of NaOH alone. Although, pH and ORP stability of the reduction bath in lye were better than that of buffer solution, K/S value in buffer solution was higher compared to lye. The reducing power was different depending on the starting pH of the dye bath, and it was better when starting at pH 10.70 than at pH 11.30. Fastnesses to washing, rubbing, and light were relatively good with above rating 4. There was no significant difference in colorfastness depending on the type of alkaline solutions.

  • 건설사업의 목표는 해당 사업의 특성에 따라 우선순위의 차이는 있지만 기본적으로 원가절감, 공기단축, 품질확보로 압축될 수 있다. 그 중 원가절감은 발주자와 건설산업계 모두에게 중요한 목표이며 이를 달성하기 위한 전략과 방법은 중요한 관심사라 하겠다. 원가절감은 사업범위, 품질, 안전, 상호 비즈니스 관계, 고객만족 등 타 매니지먼트 요소의 희생을 수반함으로써 부정적인 이미지로 인식되어 왔다. 그러나 원가절감이란 용어는 부정적인 이미지를 극복하고 가치창조(value for money)를 달성시키는 긍정적인 방향으로 변화하여야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 영국 Constructing Excellence의 성공사례를 중심으로 원가절감의 성공사례 분석을 동하여 긍정적인 원가절감 전략의 특징을 도출하고자한다.

썬큰광장의 교통소음 감쇠 효과 (Traffic Noise Reduction of Sunken Squares)

  • This study examines the traffic noise reduction effects of the diverse efficiency features of a sunken square, and investigates the reduction effects and characteristics of noise alterations according to the construction conditions in order to verify its possibility as a new noise reduction facility. The measured data were analyzed. As a result, (1) the traffic noise from the roads around the sunken squares exceeded the regulatory standards; (2) the sunken squares were protected from noise; (3) the sunken spaces yielded a greater reduction by 6∼7dB than the flat ground thanks to the diffraction effect; and (4) there were fine changes to noise according to the conditions of space construction. In short, a sunken square has the potential to afford new applications as a noise reduction facility in a highly concentrated downtown with the existing defects solved. In addition, its use for effective noise control is evident based on the noise characteristics of a space. Future studies need to include efforts to provide clearer quantitative data, as well as research on shape, layout, and materials.

  • Polymer induced turbulent drag reduction in a rotating disk apparatus was investigated using four different molecular weights of poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO) in a synthetic seawater solution for the purpose of potential application to the cold water piping in the Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion(OTEC) system. To apply drag reduction to the OTEC we measured the temperature dependence on the drag reduction efficiency. From this study, it was found that the drag reduction efficiency increases with the temperature and the concentration. To measure the drag reduction efficiency during the operation period, the drag reduction behavior was detected as a function of time and the results obtained from the experiment was compared to the Brostow's model equation.

A Study on the Psychological Healing for Japanese Korean Learners through Korean Food

  • Food is a fundamental aspect of human life, encompassing the cultural essentials of clothing, shelter, and sustenance. Experiencing the culture of individuals who speak the language one is learning through food has proven to be an effective means of enhancing learners' motivation. It can be presumed that direct exposure to Korean cuisine, either through consumption or preparation, will exert a profoundly positive psychological impact on Korean learners, contributing to psychological healing, indirectly evidenced by stress reduction. Therefore, this study conducted a survey among Korean learners in Japan to investigate the potential for psychological healing through engagement with Korean food.
