A taxonomic study was carried out on the cumacean specimens collected from shallow coast of the Yellow Sea in Korea. As a result, Bodotria ovalis Gamo, 1965 is redescribed as new to Korean cumacean fauna based on the differences between ours and previous researchers' views on this species. B. ovalis rarely occurs in the coast of the Yellow Sea.

The Korean gammaridean amphipods were collected from the coastal shallow waters of Korea during 1998-2001. Among them, Urothoe grimaldii japonica Hirayama is new to Korean fauna. Redescription of this species was made in detail with figures.

Ergasilus zacconis (Yamaguti, 1936), the copepod parasite originally named as Pseudergasilus zaconnis, is redescribed based on the specimens newly collected from the freshwater fish Zacco platypus (Temminck and Schlegel) from Japan. Some errors appearing in the original description are emended. An explanation for the generic position of this species is given.

1981년 5월부터 1999년 6월까지 남한의 97개 지소의 다양한 담수역에서 채집된 표본들에 근거하여 요술시모물벼룩(Simocephalus mixtus Sars)을 재기재하였으며, 한국에서의 시모물벼룩속 종들의 과거 기록들을 검토하였다. 이 종은 최근까지 극동아시아 지역에서 긴눈시모물벼룩(S. vetulus (O.F. Muller)) 및 S. vetuloides Sars와 분류학적으로 혼동되었거나 오동정되었던 종이다. 본 종은 갑각의 후배각이 낮고 넓게 돌출하였고, 갑각의 등쪽 가장자리의 뒷부분이 팽창하였으며, 머리의 부리에 가까운 배쪽 가장자리 부위가 깊게 함몰되어 있고, 길쭉한 모양의 단안을 가지며, 후복부 발톱의 기부에 빗모양의 가시군이 없다는 점에서 근연종들과 구별된다.

제주도 근해에서 채집된 1개체(표준체장 179.3 mm)의 표본을 근거로 뿔돔과 큰눈홍치 Heteropriacanthus cruentatus의 형태적 특징을 상세하게 재기재하였다. 본 종은 둥지느러미 연조부와 뒷지느러미, 꼬리지느러미에 흑자색 점들이 산재하고 측선공이 59개인 특징이 있다.

A draconematid nematode species, Dracograllus filipjevi Allen and Noffsinger, 1978, is described from the washings of shallow littoral coralline algae at Guryongpo in the eastern coast of Korea. This species is recognized by the following characteristics: larger body size, number of posterior sublateral adhesion tubes (9 in male and 12-13 in female) and subventral adhesion tubes (8-9 in male and 9-10 in female), the absence of cephalic acanthiform setae on rostrum, the presence of longitudinally areolated body cuticle with dot-like punctations, the presence of some cuticular collar in swollen pharyngeal region, the shape of amphidial fovea (large, elongate, and loop-shaped in both sexes), the absence of preanal corniform setae, and the absence of lateral differentiation on narrow body region. Morphological features of the species using differential interference contrast photomicrographs are described in detail in the present work. The is the first report of D. filipjevi in Korea.

The Dryopidae (Coleoptera) is composed of approximately 300 species worldwide belonging to 33 genera; however, members of the family have not been recorded in Korea. We collected and recorded adult specimens of Elmomorphus brevicornis Sharp (=E. brevicornis brevicornis Sharp) on piles of submerged twigs and branches of a decayed tree (Prunus sp.) from a mountain stream in southwestern Korea with a comparison of the type specimens of E. brevicornis amamiensis Nomura from Japan. Both of the subspecies are raised to the species level herein. Redescription, photographs, line drawings of diagnostic characteristics, distribution map, habitat, and taxonomic notes for Elmomorphus brevicornis are provided.

Two marine gastrotrich species of the genus Acanthodasys, A. ericinus Lee, 2012 and A. comtus Lee, 2012, are taxonomically reconsidered. Both of them were originally described based on the specimens from intertidal or sublittoral sandy bottom of the Yellow Sea and Jeju Island, South Korea, and included in a monographical publication of in 2012. However, the description of them was quite insufficient, and designations of type specimens were entirely lacking. In this study, we make a subsequent designation of type specimens for the two Acanthodasys species, and carry out a full redescription of them with additional remarks on their morphological micro-characteristics by scanning electronic microscopy. Some brief nomenclatural notes on Korean marine gastrotrichs are also provided.

우리 나라 남부연안에서 채집된 3개체 (체장 36.6~54.2 mm)의 표본에 근거하여 청황베도라치의 외부형태를 재기재하였다. 본 종은 제2등지느러미 극조가 26~28개, 뒷지느러미 연조가 22~26개, 전방 측선린수가 27~30개인 점, 그리고 미부의 흑색띠가 특징적이다.

Canthocamptus morimotoi Miura, a cave-dwelling harpacticoid species belonging to C. mirabilis species group, is fully redescribed and illustrated on the basis of the material newly collected from the type locality, Simpigul Cave, South Korea. C. morimotoi is the only genuine subterranean species in the C, mirabilis group, and claimed to be a relict species restricted to its type locality. The sexually isomorphic ornamentation of the outer terminal seta on the distal exopodal segment of male leg 4 and the well-developed spines on the disteromedial corner of anal somite are the most significant features differentiating this species from ther members of the mirabilis-group.
