Five specimens (839 - 1280 mm TL, Total length) of the dusky shark Carcharhinus obscurus, belonging to the family Carcharhinidae, were collected from the waters off Jejudo Island, Sinan, Namhae, Busan and Gangneung, Korea, during 2010-2019. Carcharhinus obscurus was similar to Carcharhinus brachyurus but was distinguished by the interdorsal ridge (present in C. obscurus vs. absent in C. brachyurus) and the shape of upper jaw teeth (broad in C. obscurus vs. narrow in C. brachyurus). In addition, 479 base-pair sequences in the mitochondrial DNA cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) of our two specimens corresponded to those of C. obscurus (genetic distance, 0.000-0.003), but clearly distinguished from those of the Korean C. brachyurus (genetic distance, 0.03). We adopted the Korean name "Heuk-sang-eo" for Carcharhinus obscurus, after Kim and Ryu (2017).

A trematode species belonging to the genus Prosthogonimus (family: Prosthogonimidae) was collected in August, 2004 from the bursa of Fabricius of a single Little Grebe, Tachybaptus ruficollis, caught in Chuncheon, Korea. Five specimens were collected in total and fluke morphology was examined under using a light microscope. The average parasite size was 5.6 ${\times}$ 3.2 mm (length ${\times}$ width; based on 4 specimens). The genital pore was located on the anterior right margin of the oral sucker. The cirrus sac was strongly sinuous and extended beyond the intestinal bifurcation to the ventral sucker. The prepharynx was extremely short and the pharynx was small. The vitellaria consisted of 6 follicle bunches and extended from the ventral sucker to the posterior of the testes. Finally, the uterus filled the body cavity posterior to the testes. In addition, there were no heavy slings occurred anterior to the testes. Based on these morphological characteristics, the parasites were identified as P. cuneatus. The discovery of P. cuneatus within a Little Grebe constitutes a new host identification and a new geographical record. This is the first reported case of Prosthogonimus infection within wild birds in Korea.

Two specimens of Scomberoides tol (99.0 mm and 124.5 mm in total length), belonging to the family Carangidae, order Perciformes were collected from Korean waters using a gape net with wings and a hand net between 2014 and 2017. These specimens are characterized by having the origin of the soft-rayed portion of the dorsal fin just above the origin of the soft-rayed portion of the anal fin, dorsal spines not connected by fin membranes and posterior end of the maxilla and upper jaw not extending beyond the posterior margin of the eye. A comparison of mitochondrial DNA cytochrome c oxidase subunit I sequences indicated that these specimens matched Scomberoides tol (K2P distance, d = 0.002), but differed from other Scomberoides species (6.9-9.1%). This is the first reliable report of Scomberoides tol from Korea.

복어목, 거복복과에 속하는 Lactoria diaphana (표준체장 208.0 mm) 1개체가 2011년 11월 14일에 제주도 성산읍 연안에서 채집되었다. 이 종은 눈의 앞부분에 전방으로 1쌍의 가시가 돌출되었으며, 등의 융기부 중앙에는 약간 휘어진 가시가 있고, 꼬리지느러미 아래쪽의 배쪽 융기선으로부터 후방으로 1쌍의 가시를 가지며 몸통에는 검은 반점들이 분포하고 있다. 이 미기록종의 한국명을 "소뿔복"으로 명명하였다.

우리나라 연안성 어류자원 미발굴 분류군 탐색을 위해 제주도 남부 연안해역에서 SCUBA를 이용한 수중조사 과정 중 2015년 9월 수심 약 15미터에서 망둑어과 한국첫기록종인 Callogobius shunkan 2개체(표준 체장 54.9~66.1 mm)를 채집하였다. 본 종은 살아있을 때 암갈색 바탕에 등지느러미 기저부에서 시작하는 3개의 흑갈색 안상반문이 있는 점, 두부 감각관과 잘 발달된 피습에 공기열이 배열되어 있는 점(특히 비공과 안와 후방에 공기열이 있는 점), 배지느러미막이 잘 발달된 점, 흑갈색 바탕의 체색에 백색 반점이 산재하는 특징이 있다. 본 종의 신한국명으로 '주름망둑'을 제안한다.

농어목 전갱이과에 속하는 Scomberoides lysan 2개체(표준체장 334, 354 mm)가 2010년 9월 제주도 서귀포시 대포동의 정치망에서 처음으로 채집되었다. 이 종은 최근 우리나라에 보고된 가시전갱이(S. tol)와 형태적으로 유사하지만 주둥이 뒤쪽 끝이 눈의 말단에 이르며, 체측에 5~8개의 작은 검은색 반점들이 두 줄로 나열되는 특징을 갖는다. 따라서 체측에 두 줄의 작은 반점을 가지는 형태적 특징에 근거해서 이 미기록종의 국명을 "두점줄가시전갱이"로 제안한다.

For the first time, a single specimen (68.47 mm in total length) of Lumpenopsis pavlenkoi Soldatov, 1916 belonging to the family Stichaeidae was collected from the northernmost area of the eastern coast of Korea (Gosung, Gangwon Province) in April, 2020, using square net (1.0 m width, 0.3 m height, 2.0 mm mesh size). This species is characterized by elongated and compressed body, absence of lateral line and cirri on head, presence of scales on cheek, dorsal fin with only 50 spines, anal fin with 2 spines and 30 soft rays, and separated operculum and isthmus. The body is yellowish with 7 saddles. The new Korean name "Kko-ma-be-do-ra-chi-sog" is proposed for the genus Lumpenopsis, and "Deung-jeom-kko-ma-be-do-ra-chi" is proposed for the species L. pavlenkoi.

The first specimen (54.8 mm standard length) of Ernogrammus zhirmunskii Markevich & Kharin, 2011, belonging to the family Stichaeidae, was recorded in Dokdo, East Sea, Korea on July 26, 2021. This species was characterized by a single ventral lateral-line canal from the posterior margin of the pelvic-fin base extending to the anus and one or two rigid spines on the posterior part of the anal fin. This species is similar to Ernogrammus hexagrammus and Ernogrammus walkeri but differs in the number of ventral lateral-line canal present, with E. zhirmunskii consisting of one (unpaired) ventral lateral-line canal compared to other two Ernogrammus species, which have a pair of parallel ventral lateral-line canal. For further analysis of species identification, a partial gene sequence from the mitochondrial DNA cytochrome oxidase subunit I (554 bp) of E. zhirmunskii was obtained for the first time. This study documents the first record of E. zhirmunskii in Korean waters and proposes the new Korean name of 'Il-gob-julbe-do-la-chi' for the species.

동갈돔과에 속하는 Apogon unicolor 2개체(표준체장 81.0, 96.3 mm)가 제주도 차귀도 연안 자망에서 처음으로 채집되었다. 이 종은 측선공수가 26개, 첫 번째 등지느러미수가 6개, 새파수 11개(2+1+8)이며, 안하골과 전새개골의 가장자리에 거치상이 있고, 체측에 무늬나 반점이 없다. 이번에 채집된 표본은 형태와 분자유전학적 특징이 기존의 보고와 잘 일치하였으며 채색에 있어서 몸체와 지느러미가 전반적으로 홍색을 짙게 띠고 있어 이 종의 국명을 "진홍얼게비늘"로 제안한다.

쏨뱅이목 양볼락과에 속하는 Hozukius emblemarinus 1개체(표준체장 196.4 mm)가 울산 연안에서 저층 트롤로 채집되었다. 본 개체는 체고가 높은 난형이고 눈 하단에 3개의 가시가 있으며, 등지느러미 극조가 12개, 두부 대부분이 다양한 크기의 비늘로 덮여 있으며 꼬리지느러미 후단부가 직선형인 것이 특징이다. 우리나라에서 처음 보고되는 본 종의 국명으로 "동해큰눈볼락"을 제안한다.
