The Von Neumann based architecture of the modern computer has dominated the computing industry for the past 50 years, sparking the digital revolution and propelling us into today's information age. Recent research focus and market trends have shown significant effort toward the advancement and application of artificial intelligence technologies. Although artificial intelligence has been studied for decades since the Turing machine was first introduced, the field has recently emerged into the spotlight thanks to remarkable milestones such as AlexNet-CNN and Alpha-Go, whose neural-network based deep learning methods have achieved a ground-breaking performance superior to existing recognition, classification, and decision algorithms. Unprecedented results in a wide variety of applications (drones, autonomous driving, robots, stock markets, computer vision, voice, and so on) have signaled the beginning of a golden age for artificial intelligence after 40 years of relative dormancy. Algorithmic research continues to progress at a breath-taking pace as evidenced by the rate of new neural networks being announced. However, traditional Von Neumann based architectures have proven to be inadequate in terms of computation power, and inherently inefficient in their processing of vastly parallel computations, which is a characteristic of deep neural networks. Consequently, global conglomerates such as Intel, Huawei, and Google, as well as large domestic corporations and fabless companies are developing dedicated semiconductor chips customized for artificial intelligence computations. The AI Processor Research Laboratory at ETRI is focusing on the research and development of super low-power AI processor chips. In this article, we present the current trends in computation platform, parallel processing, AI processor, and super-threaded AI processor research being conducted at ETRI.

In the high degree information society of the 21st century, along with the social activity becoming much more closer, our life style will also be very much changed. Recognition for obtaining various informations rapidly will be anticipated to enhance and the progress of a mobile communication system is greatly expected. This will enable the system to give and receive ″whenever, wherever, whomever, whatsever information.″ In our country, the car telephone and personal mobile communication services of radio calling etc. are diversified by the telecommunication system reformation and by the introduction of competive principle of the hereafter of 1988. Moreover, in accordance with the tariff, the number of subscrier is rapidly increasing. On the other hand, on the utility side of business, for the realization of a mobile communication which is abundant in functional nature, not only the hitherto voice but also non voice system of data communication is being introduced. The Ministry of Communications of Korea has been expediting the effective utilization of limited frequency band of qusai microwave band etc. as a concrete measures for an ever increasing demand. At the same time, to disseminate and promote a mobile communication most effectively, convenience, economic, and safety nature of the system, and in addition to these, international standardization is considered. For constitution of a new mobile communication, the Ministry has been promoting various policies designed for the digitalization of system, utility extention for home. personal level.
Deep learning is a hot topic in both academic and industrial fields. Deep learning applications can be categorized into two areas. The first category involves applications such as Google Alpha Go using interfaces with human operators to run complicated inference engines in high-performance servers. The second category includes embedded applications for mobile Internet-of-Things devices, automotive vehicles, etc. Owing to the characteristics of the deployment environment, applications in the second category should be bounded by certain H/W and S/W restrictions depending on their running environment. For example, image recognition in an autonomous vehicle requires low latency, while that on a mobile device requires low power consumption. In this paper, we describe issues faced by embedded applications and review popular inference engines. We also introduce a project that is being development to satisfy the H/W and S/W requirements.
Black has been the most important color of all since the ancient times when the recognition of black roused, as well as during most of the eras; and can especially be said as the main color which controlled the chronicles of fashion. The purpose of the study was to broaden the application of black color image make-up by inquiring into make-up design elemental characteristics of lines and textures, after classifying magazine illustrations and advertisement make-up images using black. The photos which made effective use of black among fashion illustrations, magazine advertisements after 2001 were classified in to each type, and make-up expression method and characteristics according to design element of each image type was analyzed. The conclusion of such study was the following. 'Erotic image' showed contrast effect between eye make-up and lip color by using pale tone or red color. 'Mannish image' emphasized form and texture of eyebrow by restraining the colors of eyelids with natural brown tone eye make-up; 'Modern image' expressed vague eyebrow to bring the sensation of the direction of eye shadow on eyelids and eye line as well as slant line to relief. 'Kitsch image' showed free and light imagery by creating unique hair style with various colors; expressing lips mostly with colors similar to skin tone or by restraining colors on lips. 'Decadence image' showed messy and foul sensation with unstandardized eye make-up and matt skin of shimmer, glossy and pale tone, also with black colored lips; 'Retro image' expressed reinterpretation of images from 1920${\sim}$1960 to contemporary styles.

A new generation of fiber-based papermaking chemicals were presented for the first time at the PTS Pulp Technology Symposium 2005, and then several articles were published in various magazine in Asia ("Paper Asia"), the US ("Pulp & Paper"), and Europe ("Wochenblatt fuel Papierfabrikation"). The information generated quite an interest in the paper industry. Extensive studies of these papermaking additives have been made recently, new information obtained, and the compounds have gained more recognition in the industry. The company J. Rettenmaier und Soehne developed of a group of fiber-based papermaking additives. They includ combination of fibers with sizing agents, starch, fluorochemicals, minerals, biocides and some others. This article presents in-depth study of the AKD modified micronized cellulose as an example of the fiber-based papermaking chemicals cocept. The material of the present paper is based mostly on the results of the pilot paper machine study at the Paper Research Institute PTS (Heidenau, Germany), and includes case studies from the mills, which used $ARBOCELPLUS^{(R)}-AKD$ compounds. It should be noted that the $ARBOCELPLUS^{(R)}$ compounds were not designed to replace traditional additives in paper industry. They should rather be used in those areas, where application of "normal" chemicals is especially problematic.
Objectives: To deter job migration and to facilitate a more efficient personnel management system, a personality type analysis tool, such as MBTI and Enneagram, may be considered. These tools can facilitate better recognition of talent among prospective employees, as well as more efficient allocation of tasks for greater job satisfaction. Methods: This study conducted direct interviews with dental hygienists currently employed at two major dental organizations, which operate the largest networks of clinics across the greater metropolitan area. Results : First, in terms of number of turnover experiences, the Head Type showed lower task satisfaction, whereas the Body Type exhibited greater task satisfaction. Second, the Head Type showed greater job satisfaction compared to the other types. Third, the SJ Type, often considered the traditionalist in terms of long-term employments, exhibited greater tendencies toward long-term commitment with one employer. Fourth, dental hygienists, in terms of long-term employment, are negatively affected by task satisfaction, and positively affected by job satisfaction. Conclusions: It is thought to be considerable to use personality type analysis tools in clinical human resource management.

Emergency numbers, such as 112 and 119, are used in many countries to connect people in need with emergency services such as police, fire, and medical assistance. We describe development directions of intelligent response technology for emergency calls. The development of this technology refers to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of response systems by using advanced methods such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analytics. We focus on a system that assists the receptionist of an emergency call. In the future, the recognition rate and decision-making accuracy of intelligent response technologies should be improved considering characteristics of public safety and emergency domain data. Although the current technology remains at the level of assisting a receptionist, a fully autonomous response technology is expected to emerge in the future.
The study surveyed 1,127 mothers whose children aged 3 to 5 went to 25 randomly selected kindergartens, which were located in Busan Metropolitan City and the adjacent Gimhae City, and analyzed the preventive health behaviors on their children and the condition of home health education on their children. As the compulsory kindergarten education will e to be implemented within 4 years, this study aimed to draw up the rudimentary material for health education at kindergartens. The study results are summed up as follows: 1. Mothers' awareness of health-related attitude and behavioral level for their children at kindergarten: 1) The general health condition of the children, which mothers are aware of, was that they were healthy on the whole. As their children becomes older, the income level of the parents is lower, and mothers have lower level of educational standard, the health condition of the children was found a little lower. 2) In terms of mothers' recognition of the practice level of preventive health behaviors, the items such as going to bed regularly, washing hands and feet well, and having meals regularly were high in the practice level, while exercise and tooth-brushing were not practiced well. 2. The condition of mothers' health education of their children: 1) It was found that washing hands and feet, restriction of overeating and preference for specific kinds of food, guidance on regular sleep and regular meal were practiced well among items of home health education targeting kindergarten children. 2) Mothers have obtained information on family health from printed matter such as newspaper or magazine rather than the visual media. 3) From the cross analysis of mothers' health education on children and children's health behaviors, as the standard of education of mothers was higher, so was the level of preventive health behaviors of children. 3. From the result of multi regression analysis of the factors influencing the preventive hygiene of kindergarten children, it was found that as the home health education level was higher, so was the health behavior of children. On the other hand, as the mothers were older, the health behavior of children became lower.
This paper has surveyed above all what the patients call for physically, psychologically, and socially and researched how the ministers have acknowledge on cancers, their patients and hospice by means of enquete. To the difficulty the pastors should give their hands. This study researched what thoughts and behaviors the ministers actually had by the method of questionnaire. It was done from October 20, 1997 through December 10, 1997 on seven thousand of questionnaire paper of which 149 given back on the line of post or firsthandly were analyzed. The questioness consisted of 141 men(94.6%), 8 women(5.4) and 104 pastor on appentice(69.8%). There were 58 questionees(38.9%) who were hospitalized of their own diseases, and 121 questionees(81.3%) who had cancer patients hospitalized among their church people, relatives, or friends. Most of all the questionees(79.9%) had not any experience, such as they took some instruction about cancer patients. 72.5% of all the questionees had not ever served patients around them. The followings are the contents of the enquete: the questionees' view to chronic patients and death, where they put the priority in the case of that they look after patients who are under terrible pain ahead of death, what they think of such a situation as a patient has no technical possibility to be recuperated, why they think pastors do not like to visit chronics, which therapy they choose, whether they mainly control their pain or they do their best in order to heal their diseases, how much the questioned ministers know hospice, where and how they get the information on it, how much important role they play in the hospice team, whether the volunteers for hospice have not worked on account of pastors' misunderstanding to hospice service, whether the ministers want to take part in hospice service with their church people or not, and so forth. Suggestion: First, the education and P.R. about hospice are requested for the ministers. Second, the ministers must participate in hospice activities actively. Therefore the ministers and the churches must firsthandly take part in hospice activities beyond the education only and the raising of the recognition to them.
In the past, management had been done over nurses rather than nursing and this brought the existence of general manager and as a result, nurse-manager's position and role are being threatend. For the up-bringing of nursing to firm professional recognition in the 21st century, it is firmly believed that nursing managers are to be in the position to play the role of general manager with professional qualifications; personal qualities and exact understandings on the role and function of each tier group under her/his management. 124 top(3 nursing superintendents), middle-range(23 supervisors) and unit managers(98 head-nurses) from 3 university hospitals in Seoul were interviewed in order to investigate their belief in the role, professional qualifications, personal qualities as well as the strategy for the development of their leadership qualities. The frame of reference for the interview were developed by the researcher in reference to relevant literatures. It was the common belief that qualifications o[ top-managers and mid-managers require an educational background of master's preparation or higher and clinical career for at least 15 years for top-managers and 5 -10 years for mid-managers. The personal qualities required by nurse managers include; leadership, initiative, judgement, self-confidence, flexibility, open-mindedness and strong motivation. Achievment-orientedness would greatly help them become excellent managers. On the other hand, [or more effective management, managers of each teir group are to fully understand their role and perform "their job responsibilities ie. Top managers are supposed to study with emphasis on organization, function and conceptual s~ill while mid-managers concentrate their effort on the development of skills for direction, guidance and human relationship. Unit managers also supposed to have abilities to manage their function with emphasis on development of clinical performance skill, for direction on operative aspects. The strategies for the development of leadership qualities include program-planning at individual instutional level as well as local, national and international level. Nurse-managers are to be motivated and encouraged to participate in the programs in order to effectively communicate within tier groups.oups.
