In this study, we have analyzed the impact of firm, innovation and industry characteristics on firm's appropriation strategy focusing of the relative preference of patents and trade secrets by using the Korea Corporate Innovation Survey 2005, 2010 and 2014 data. According to the analysis results, companies with characteristics such as venture, high-technology industry, receipt of public R&D subsidies, performing product innovation, high R&D expenditure, prefer patents to trade secrets relatively. However, firm size and R&D cooperation did not have a statistically significant effect on the relative preference. This shows that policy on appropriation system considering the industry characteristics may be more effective. Companies in the industries with a high market concentration showed that trade secrets are preferred, especially these characteristic was distinctly in small and venture companies. This means that the increase in strategic patent applications of the incumbent firms is able to restrict the patent activities in small and venture companies. Because the excessive increase in strategic patents is likely to constrain the innovation activities of small and venture firms ultimately, policy initiatives to limit the abuse of strategic patent applications is required.
This study was performed to develop an active tire pressure control system that can adjust tire pressure to the optimum level according to traveling and working condition of agricultural tractor. For the development of active tire pressure control system, pneumatic supplier, solenoid valve block including pneumatic supply line, infinite rotation type pneumatic supplier with rotary joint unit, tire pressure transceiver module and control algorithm were developed. Also, tire simulator was developed. Using this tire simulator, the feasibility of each part constructing actual system was tested by checking the performance. The average communication success ratio was 98.3% between tire pressure transmitter and receiver module according to the various tire rotational speed and data receipt position of receiver module. The communication performance of the developed transmitter and receiver module was very stable in any condition. The tire pressure control system was accomplished by using the proportional control algorithm in this study. Also tire pressure control performance of developed control system was analyzed by using the tire simulator. As a result of control performance analysis to the developed system, the developed control system took 307 seconds to inflate agricultural tractor's tire from 50 kPa to 180 kPa. In opposite case, it took 210 seconds. Also it was able to control the tire pressure accurately under ${\pm}0.9%$ (FS) in any condition.

Background: Cervical cancer is relatively common in Thai women, but the proportion of females receiving Pap smear screening is still low. Objective: The purpose of this cross-sectional study was to study factors related to cervical cancer screening uptake by Hmong hilltribe women in Lomkao District, Phetchabun Province. Materials and Methods: Interview data were collected from 547 of these women aged 30-60 years living in the study area and analyzed using multiple logistic regression. Results: The results showed that 64.9% of the study sample had received screening, and that 47.2% had attended due to a cervical screening campaign. The most common reason given for not receiving screening was lack of time (21.4%). The factors found to be positively associated with uptake (p value <0.05) were as follows: number of years of school attendance (OR=1.56, 95%CI:1.02-2.38), animistic religious beliefs (OR=0.55, 95%CI:0.33-0.91), a previous pregnancy (OR=6.20, 95%CI:1.36-28.35), receipt of information about cervical cancer screening (OR=2.25, 95%CI:1.35-3.76), and perceived risk of developing cervical cancer (OR=1.83, 95%CI:1.25-2.67). Conclusions: To promote the uptake of cervical screening, Hmong hilltribe women need to know more about cervical cancer and cervical cancer screening, and access to screening services should be provided in conjunction with existing everyday services, such as family planning and routine blood pressure monitoring or diabetes services.

Objective : Proximal junctional kyphosis (PJK) is radiologic finding, and is defined as kyphosis of >$10^{\circ}$ at the proximal end of a construct. The aim of this study is to identify factors associated with PJK after segmental spinal instrumented fusion in adults with spinal deformity with a minimum follow-up of 2 years. Methods : A total of 49 cases of adult spinal deformity treated by segmental spinal instrumented fusion at two university hospitals from 2004 to 2011 were enrolled in this study. All enrolled cases included at least 4 or more levels from L5 or the sacral level. The patients were divided into two groups based on the presence of PJK during follow-up, and these two groups were compared to identify factors related to PJK. Results : PJK was observed in 16 of the 49 cases. Age, sex and mean follow-up duration were not statistically different between two groups. However, mean bone marrow density (BMD) and mean back muscle volume at the T10 to L2 level was significantly lower in the PJK group. Preoperatively, the distance between the C7 plumb line and uppermost instrumented vertebra (UIV) were no different in the two groups, but at final follow-up a significant intergroup difference was observed. Interestingly, spinal instrumentation factors, such as, receipt of a revision operation, the use of a cross-link, and screw fracture were no different in the two groups at final follow-up. Conclusion : Preoperative BMD, sagittal imbalance at UIV, and thoracolumbar muscle volume were found to be strongly associated with the presence of PJK.
The aesthetics of current dermatology clinics are the main space of dermatology, which is gradually becoming an area of specialty. Paths requiring spatial transition due to the expansion of treatment field in dermatology clinics are currently emerging, meaning that the duty to provide medical and aesthetic environment with high spatial connection must be accompanied. Contrary to past clinics where only functional aspects were emphasized, current clinics require a differentiated environment that considers both aspects of function and aesthetics, centered on the patient. The purpose of this research in this perspective is to study the efficient connection between dermatology and aesthetics, while also analyzing identity factors to indicate design factors differentiated from other functional spaces, to apply them as preliminary data for the planning of dermatology clinics. Based on the above, six dermatology clinics located in Seoul were designated for case studies through field studies. Overall, Aesthetics connected to dermatology clinics legally must have separate business registrations and have alternative entrance ways. Currently however, there were many cases where entrance, waiting, reception and receipt were not separated. there were efforts to partially display identities when analyzing design factors that formed the identity of dermatology clinics. However, there were insufficient cases where visual communication factors such as a clinic's spatial identity, logo, signing system, and applied products were integrated into a coherent theme. At this point when dermatology clinics are becoming brands, all fields must merge for integrated identity effects that go beyond the boundaries of contemporary H.I, to clearly display their identity with the clinics' professional image and consistent concept.

Increasing popularity of smartphone is creating many changes in payment market sector also. The new fin-tech and simple mobile payment service have provided convenience as well as various benefits and value-added services to create new payment culture. However, the infrastructure of offline shops is too poor for users to use the simple mobile payment services in Korea. There are several reasons why the support of simple mobile payment services by offline shops has reached the limit in Korea. They include the reluctance of shop owners due to highly priced devices, the failure of NFC of the leading offline payment infrastructure to support iOS, the services that are biased to the specific manufacturers and smartphones (Samsung Pay and LG Pay), prefer large shops (SSG Pay and L PAY), and focus on online transactions. This study used the Bluetooth technology that is the standard feature built in all smartphone to expand the offline shops that accept the simple mobile payment services ensuring universality and scalability from the convenience of customer's and service provider's aspects. Applying the same payment scene as the existing NFC payment method from the user's aspect and the Bluetooth technology from the service provider's aspect enables support of all smartphones and offering value-added services such as electronic receipt and promotions through the large-capacity bidirectional data transfer. This study is intended to review the simple mobile payment services in Korea and other countries, propose the simple mobile payment service model for Korea by analyzing the Bluetooth technology and preceding studies of payment services using BLE technology, and develop the pilot system using the BLE technology to verify the proposed system with actual shops.
