Application of Realtime Monitoring of Oceanic Conditions in the Coastal Water for Environmental Management

  • This study describes the realtime monitoring system for water quality conditions in coastal waters. Some issues on the data qualify control and quality analysis are examined along with examples of erroneous data. Three different cases of database produced by the realtime monitoring system are presented and analyzed, namely 1) hypoxic condition, 2) over-saturated D.O. and 3) short-term variability of temperature and D.O. In utilizing the realtime database, D.O. prediction and warning models are developed based on autoregressive stochastic process. The model is very simple, yet, users in various levels from powerful and useful with its ability to send warning messages to users in varous levels from governmental administrative staff to local fisherman, and give them some allowances to cope with the situation.

  • Currently, start of the operation US GPS, the Russian Glonass, European Galileo, the Chinese Compass satellites for positioning are celebrating a true GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) generation. Korea is building advanced infrastructure such as a national network consisting of CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station), VRS service for real-time precise positioning and perform continuous upgrading. However, the acquisition of geospatial information using the national infrastructure requires many steps and high dependence on foreign software part in this process. This study contributes to advanced construction technology of geospatial information by design of realtime GNSS surveying system. As a results, it has designed the surveying software that can effectively positioning realtime. Designed realtime surveying software can utilized in various fields.

  • In this paper, we propose a method by which QP (Quadratic Programming) problems can be solved in realtime so that we can implement the predictive control algorithm on a microcontroller system. Firstly, we derive a solution to QP problems by converting the original QP problems to its equivalent least squares with inequalities. Secondly, we propose a predictive control algorithm that can give good realtime computation performance by utilizing the fact that some parameters needed for solving QP problems can be computed offline. Finally, we illustrate that the proposed method can give good realtime features by running the C-code application constructed using the proposed method on a microncontroller system.

  • The demand for human security significantly promotes the development of surveillance applications using a multi-sensor integrated UAV system. For more sophisticated operations, the system should provide a sequence of images rectified in a ground coordinate system in realtime. This rectification requires accurate position and attitude of the camera at the time of exposure of each image, which can be estimated through an Aerial Triangulation process using the GPS/INS data and tie points between adjacent images. In this work, the KLT tracker is utilized to obtain the tie points. To satisfy the realtime requirements, we present an approach to speed up the tracker by supplying the initial guessed positions of tie points based on the exterior orientation. The experimental results show that, when the guessed positions are supplied, the KLT tracker consumed less computational time than the ordinary KLT which is more suitable to be incorporated into the realtime image georeferencing process.

  • 본 논문은 CDMA/TDD 시스템에서, 높은 전송률과 일정한 QoS를 갖는 실시간 클래스의 무선 자원 할당에 대한 방법론을 제시한다. 실시간 클래스와 비실시간 클래스를 제어하기 위하여, 예약 액세스 기법과 우선 순위 기법이 각각 제안된다. 또한 각 셀 링크간 간섭에 의한 성능 감소를 예방하기 위하여 슬롯 할당 기법을 제안한다. 제시된 방안들을 통하여 실시간 클래스의 연속성을 보장하고 비실시간 가입자를 최대로 수용할 수 있다. 다중 셀 환경과 멀티미디어 서비스 모델을 가정하여, 제안된 기법의 성능이 전송 지연, 채널 이용률 그리고 데이터 손실 등을 근거로 하여 평가된다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 상당한 성능 향상이 있음을 보인다.

  • In this paper, we present mSROS(Micro-Scalable Realtime Operating System) to be applied commonly to the device controller systems in the HANbit ACE256 system. The device controller systems in HANbit ACE256 system are organized as many kinds of device controller. Applying modified PPOS(Peripheral Processor Operating System)which is an operating system for devices of the TDX-10 switching system to the firmwares for them, the inefficiency in development and maintenance exists inherently. To remove the inefficiency nd to improve the performqance of firmwares, we build a common operating system platform that including multi-tasking microkernel so that the firmwares among devices can acquire convenient development and cheap cost of maintencance. Especially, building a virtual machine as a development methodology, it is possible to remove dependency from the kernel so that any kinds of commercial real-time kernels can be used in mSROS as a basic kernel. The virtual machine in mSROS is compatible with the API of SROS(Scalable Realtime Operating System), PPOS, and CROS(Concurrent Realtime Operating System).

  • e-Business 시장의 폭발적 성장으로 기존의 오프라인 기업들이 e-Business 시장으로 진입하게 되었으며, 이는 e-Business 시장의 과도한 경쟁을 야기 시켰다. 이에 기업들은 키워드 광고, 이메일 광고, 배너 광고 등의 온라인 마케팅에 대한 투자를 확대하고 있다. 그러나 기존의 온라인 마케팅 방법들은 방문자를 사이트로 유입시키는 데에만 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 방문자들이 사이트로 유입 후 구매로 전환시키기 위한 방법을 제시하지 못함으로써 마케팅의 투자 대비 효과는 점점 감소하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사이트에 유입된 방문자를 대상으로 전환율을 높임으로써 마케팅의 효과를 높일 수 있는 실시간 온라인 마케팅 시스템 (ROMS: Realtime Online Marketing System)을 제안하고 개발하였다. ROMS는 방문자 행동을 실시간으로 수집하여 방문자 행동을 분석함으로써 방문자의 정보 및 행동을 실시간으로 모니터링 할 수 있으며, 방문자의 컨텍스트 특성에 따라 개인화된 마케팅을 수행할 수 있다.

  • We propose a realtime numeric caption recognition algorithm that automatically recognizes the numeric caption generated by computer graphics (CG) and displays the modified caption using the recognized resource only when a valuable numeric caption appears in the aimed specific region of the live sportscast scene produced by other broadcasting stations. We extract the mesh feature from the enhanced binary image as a feature vector after acquiring the sports broadcast scenes using a frame grabber in realtime and then recover the valuable resource from just a numeric image by perceiving the character using the neural network. Finally, the result is verified by the knowledge-based rule set designed for more stable and reliable output and is displayed on a screen as the converted CC caption serving our purpose. At present, we have actually provided the realtime automatic mile-to-kilometer caption conversion system taking up our algorithm f3r the regular Major League Baseball (MLB) program being broadcasted live throughout Korea over our nationwide network. This caption conversion system is able to automatically convert the caption in mile universally used in the United States into that in kilometer in realtime, which is familiar to almost Koreans, and makes us get a favorable criticism from the TV audience.

  • 모바일매핑시스템은 차량에 GPS, IMU, CCD카메라 등을 장착하여 대상물의 위치 및 영상정보를 획득할 수 있는 효율적인 시스템으로 도로 시설물의 유지$\cdot$관리, 수치지도의 갱신 등 여러 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 이러한 모바일매핑시스템을 통해 획득한 지리정보를 실시간으로 기준국에 전송하면 사용자는 최신의 정보를 이용해 자신이 원하는 형태의 가공 및 처리를 하는 것이 가능해 진다. 본 연구에서는 모바일매핑시스템을 통해 취득되는 위치정보, 자세정보, 영상정보 등의 지리정보를 무선인터넷 환경에서 실시간으로 전송하기 위한 효율적인 방안에 대해 제시하고자 한다.
