  • Today, many electronic devices and ECUs (Electronic Control Units) are used in the automotive body control systems. It becomes more common that these devices exchange data with others through an in-vehicle network. Automobile manufacturers concentrate their efforts on development of body control systems based on networks in order to save cost and to increase flexibility and safety. OSEK/VDX has been founded as a joint project in German and French automotive industry aiming at an industry standard for an open-ended architecture for distributed control units in vehicles OSEK/VDX consists of Communication (specification of data exchange within and between control units), Network Management specification of Configuration determination and monitoring and Operating System (specification of realtime executive for ECU software ...

  • 1. Introduction of Camera Detection system Camera Detection system is an equipment that can detect realtime traffic information by image processing techniques. This information can be used to analyze and control road traffic flow. It is also used as a method to detect and control traffic flow for ITS(Intelligent Transportation System). Traffic information includes speed, head way, traffic flow, occupation time and length of queue. There are many detection systems for traffic data. But video detection system can detect multiple lanes with only one camera and collect various traffic information. So it is thought to be the most efficient method of all detection system. Though the...

  • This Paper describes a Nonlinear adoptive noise canceller using Neural Network for Machine Tools Controller System. Back-Propagation Learning Algorithm based MLP (Multi Layer Perceptron)is used an adaptive filters. In this Paper. it assume that the noise of primary input in the adaptive noise canceller is not the same characteristic as that of the reference input. Experimental results show that the neural network base noise canceller outperforms the linear noise canceller. Especially to make noise cancel close to realtime, Primary Input is divided by Unit and each divided pan is processed for very short time than all the processed data are unified to whole data.

  • Recently, the fieldbus becomes an indispensable component for many automated systems. In the fieldbus system, realtime data containing sensor values and control commands has a tendency to rapidly lose its value as time elapses after its creation. In order to deliver these data in time, the fieldbus network should be designed to have short delay compared to the maximum allowable delay. Because the communication delay is affected by performance parameters such as target rotation timer of token passing protocol, it is necessary to select proper parameter settings to satisfy the real-time requirement for communication delay. This paper presents the timer selection method for Profibus token passing networks using genetic algorithm (GA) to meet the delay requirements.

  • This paper presents an efficient implementation of the linear window operator. I derived computational primitives based upon a block state space representation. The computational primitive can be implemented as a data path for a programmable processor, which can be used for the efficient implementation of a linear window operator. A multiprocessor architecture is presented for the realtime processing of a linear window operator. The architecture is designed based upon the data partitioning technique. Performance analysis for the various block size is provided.

  • Nowadays, insufficient parking lots give rise to a serious problem. Cars are increased in geometrical progression, but parking lots that takes in cars are relatively limited. Often we spend a lot of time to look for a parking lot because of limited parking lot. To solve this problem, we can use real time parking lot information system provided from mobile vehicles. In this paper, we will tell you how to deliver the parking lot information in real time by construction wireless network environment to be provided real time information and making XML data that is easy to share and to exchange data between applications.

  • Recently, large amount of information in IDS(Intrusion Detection System) can be un manageable and also be mixed with false prediction error. In this paper, we propose a data mining methodology for IDS, which contains uncertainty based on training process and post-processing analysis additionally. Our system is trained to classify the existing attack for misuse detection, to detect the new attack pattern for anomaly detection, and to define border patter between attack and normal pattern. In experimental results show that our approach improve the performance against existing attacks and new attacks, from 0.62 to 0.84 about 35%.

  • Although frame-based MPEG-4 video services have been successfully deployed since 2000, MPEG-4 video coding is now facing great competition in becoming a dominant player in the market. Object-based coding is one of the key functionalities of MPEG-4 video coding. Real-time object-based video encoding is also important for multimedia broadcasting for the near future. Object-based video services using MPEG-4 have not yet made a successful debut due to several reasons. One of the critical problems is the coding complexity of object-based video coding over frame-based video coding. Since a video object is described with an arbitrary shape, the bitstream contains not only motion and texture data but also shape data. This has introduced additional complexity to the decoder side as well as to the encoder side. In this paper, we have analyzed the current MPEG-4 video encoding tools and proposed efficient coding technologies that reduce the complexity of the encoder. Using the proposed coding schemes, we have obtained a 56 percent reduction in shape-coding complexity over the MPEG-4 video reference software (Microsoft version, 2000 edition).

  • In this paper, LOD (Level Of Detail) for flocking, which is the real-time simulation on the movement or some groups such as fighting soldiers, moving fishes and flying birds, is presented. And a flocking LOD algorithm that uses factors such as the speed of fish, direction, and shape is proposed. Model data is modified for LOD in advance, so as to reduce strange edge collapse and unwanted holes. The errors of model data were identified by transforming polygonal model into octree-based cubes and revised before rendering. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm considering flocking characteristics shows fast frame rates as compared with the conventional continuous LOD algorithm.
