The speech of Sino-Korean has been evolved from geopolitical cause since 1945. The aim of this study is to collect Yanji dialectal speech and to compare with South Korean dialectal speech. Twenty Yanbian university students participated as informants. Acoustic speech informations are analyzed using the Multi-Speech Windows Vista version. Dialectal speech characteristics of Yanji sino-Korean showed posterior vowel /${\alpha}$/, neutralization of mid-vowel /o/ between /o/ and /Ɔ/. Lenis stop sound showed the tendency of glottalization based on VOT value. Sibilant sound contains aspiration following constriction and lateral /l/ realized the approximant /r/.

The purpose of this study is to inquire into the necessity and problem of the study on beauty aesthetics, and the direction and method of its study theoretically by applying the concept of aesthetics to the beauty art as an attempt to build up aesthetic concepts of beauty art. As results of inquiry, the study on beauty aesthetics is essential for the adaptation to demands for the creativity of beauty art. As for problem of study on beauty aesthetics, it is necessary to conduct an aggregate study at various angles since the aesthetic value of beauty art (hairstyle) is realized by interaction of the social cultural value or practical value and pure artistic value, and the unique cosmetic beauty of any era or nation group individual is created on the basis of hair designers and individual spirit, emotion and taste, etc. and its perceptual aesthetic enjoyment is accomplished variously. As for the direction and method of study on beauty aesthetics, the quest with abstract speculative self-examination into the beauty having its subjective meaning must be accomplished. This thesis would like to contribute to the building up of beauty industry field as beauty arts based on the aesthetics by successive coming forward of personnel for beauty who combine the aesthetic abilities meeting the diversified requirements of modern society and by improving the recognition of persons recognizing the beauty industry field as a technical field only.

Recently people are trying to lead their life with meaning and value, and people are oriented to value consumption as the values they pursue can be realized through consumption. Consumer demand on value consumption had an effect on Korean wedding culture and 'value consumption wedding culture' which emphasizes the value of marriage, is on the rise as a new wedding custom. Accordingly, Korean wedding market is more segmented and diversified for individual customization to create value. Especially, wedding dress evidently reflects the tendency of value consumption as it gives special meaning for brides. As a result, suggestion and development of detailed design elements of wedding dress to meet the various needs of customers are needed. Therefore, this study has the purpose of investigating the required value of wedding dress aligned with the characteristics of value consumption wedding culture through in-depth interviews and how the intrinsic value of consumers is shown up to a particular design element through investigating on the relationships between design elements. In addition, the study provides a direction for specialized and high-valued wedding dress design development by suggesting wedding dress design aligned with the new trend based on the analysis of detailed design elements that reflects the value.

Servo systems became indispensable to applications such as industrial robots and numerically controlled machinery. Especially, induction motor drives are widely used as ac-servo system owing to the fact that it is maintenance-free. At the present time, Quick torque control methods such as vector control have been employed that enables an induction motor to attain as quick torque response as a dc motor. However, these methods can not be realized without knowing several motor parameters accurately, because the methods need them to calculate flux or voltage command. Most of all, secondary resistance has to be identified accurately, because it's value varies greatly for operation of induction motors. In this paper, a new identification method of secondary resistance based on quick torque control system of induction motors is proposed. The proposed method is derived theoretically from motor circuit equation and can be realized very simply by detecting primary current and voltage command of the motor. Through the numerical simulation considered using PWM inverter, the validity of the proposed method was successfully confirmed.

This study aims to examine similarities and differences of each e-B/L types as well as identify problems of e-B/L utilization and directions for improvement. Especially, it suggests strategies for the realization of e-B/L through reviewing and analyzing commercial types of e-B/L, which have been developed so far. Although e-B/L succeeded in realizing the function as a certificate of title and its distribution value, it has not been fully implemented due to operational problems. Subsequently, e-B/L was realized in the Bolero project as an attempt of system to make up for shortcomings in the failure of previous e-B/L types, but it has still a number of problems. To solve this problem and make use of e-B/L more efficiently, this study focuses on the specific ways to introduce e-B/L and suggest directions for the development of e-Nego system. Preparation of electronic documents is a prerequisite for the development of the e-Nego system, taking distribution of electronic documents into consideration. Next, compatibility of electronic documentation and paper-based documents should be realized, with the guarantee of authenticity of electronic documents.

Pressure-controlled sodium heat pipe furnace was designed and fabricated, and its characteristics was investigated. Pressure control system was controlled within ${\pm}0.5\;Pa$ at 150 kPa and the stability of pressure was decreased to ${\pm}2.5\;Pa$, when the pressure-controlled system connected with the heat pipe. The melting curve of Ag fixed-point realized well by the adiabatic method using the pressure-controlled sodium heat pipe furnace and its accuracy showed ${\pm}2.27\;mK$ from the calculation of 20% to 80% at the plateau. The freezing curve of Ag fixed-point also realized and its plateau value was 2.23 mK lower than that of the melting curve.

A very simple control approach using neural network for the robust position control of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) is presented. The linear quadratic controller plus feedforward neural network is employed to obtain the robust PMSM system approximately linearized using field-orientation method for an AC servo. The neural network is trained in on-line phases and this neural network is composed by a feedforward recall and error back-propagation training. Since the total number of nodes are only eight, this system can be easily realized by the general microprocessor. During the normal operation, the input-output response is sampled and the weighting value is trained multi-times by error back-propagation method at each sample period to accommodate the possible variations in the parameters or load torque. In addition, the robustness is also obtained without affecting overall system response. This method is realized by a floating-point Digital Signal Processor DS1102 Board (TMS320C31).

Recently, many Korean firms have suffered financial losses and damaged firm's trust due to information security incidents. Hence, a lot of firms have realized the importance of the information security. In particular, the demand for information security certification has increased. This study examined the effect of information security certification using the event study methodology. Our research shows that the announcement of the information security certification significantly influences the market value of the corresponding firm. The certified firms rise, on average, o.4993% (-2 day), 0.5462% (+1 day) of their market value. Further, we found that the financial sector in our data showed a 1.4% higher abnormal returns than the nonfinancial sector. On the other hand, whether a firm first acquired the information security certification is not significant. Our paper presents that it is possible to analyze the effect of the information security certification using the event study. We are expected to be used in making a decision for the investment of information security. Also, our results indicate that the firm which have acquired the information security certification should actively announce that fact.

Purpose: Research on equity carve-outs is necessary because the market has realized that they lead to holding company discounts by double counting, which can only be observed in the Korean market. Considering the differences in the SSG.com equity carve-out compared to previous cases in terms of business strategy, this study contributes to the literature by examining the effects on shareholder value in the Korean distribution industry. Research design, data, and methodology: This study investigated literature, analyst reports, and news articles to examine the causes of holding company discounts and analyze the SSG.com equity carve-out. Results: The monopoly of holding companies' listing premiums is the main cause underlying holding company discounts from equity carve-outs. Protections for minority shareholder value are challenging owing to the complexity of the process of acquiring rights, the short exercise period, and additional costs. Therefore, the motivation for equity carve-outs should be to increase overall shareholder value. Conclusion: By analyzing the reasons for holding company discounts in the Korean distribution industry, this study provides recommendations for improving shareholder value. Moreover, it contributes to the maturation of the Korean capital market by promoting a discussion on the revision of equity carve-outs.

Purpose: Research on spin-off and treasury stock is necessary because the market has realized that this can be utilized for major shareholder private interest. Considering the unique characteristic of a spin-off and treasury stock in the Korean stock market, this study contributes to the literature by examining the effects on shareholder value in the Korean distribution industry. Research design, data, and methodology: The present study investigates literature, analyst reports, and news articles to examine the spin-off process and analyze how treasury stock magic happens. Results: Setting the exchange ratio favoring Spin-Co in the spin-off is the leading cause for reducing the minor shareholders' value. Moreover, treating treasury stock as an asset is also problematic, allowing the allocation of Spin-Co shares. This leads to an increase in the major shareholder controls of Spin-Co without any contribution from the major shareholders. Therefore, the exchange ratio should be calculated reasonably, and treasury stock from the stock repurchase should be treated as stock retirement. Conclusion: By analyzing the spin-off and how treasury stock magic occurs, this study provides recommendations to improve shareholder value. Moreover, it contributes to the maturation of the Korean capital market by promoting a discussion on the revision of spin-off and treasury stock.
