Zigbee 무선통신을 이용한 UPS DC링크 커패시터의 고장 모니터링 시스템 개발 (A development of Diagnosis Monitoring System for UPS DC Link Capacitors using Zigbee Wireless Communication)

  • Electrolytic power capacitors have been widely used in power conversion system such as inverter or UPS because of characteristics of large capacitance, high-voltage and low-cost. The electrolytic capacitor, which is most of the time affected by the aging effect, plays a very important role for the power-electronics system quality and reliability. Therefore it is important to diagnosis monitoring the condition of an electrolytic capacitor in real-time to predict the failure. In this paper, the on-line remote diagnosis monitoring system for UPS DC link electrolytic capacitors using low-cost single-chip zigbee communication modules is developed. To estimate the health status of the capacitor, the equivalent series resistor(ESR) of the component has to be determined. The capacitor ESR is estimated by using RMS computation using BPF modeling of DC link ripple voltage/current. Zigbee-based hardware experimental results show that the proposed remote capacitor diagnosis monitoring system can be applied to UPS successfully.

택시 GPS데이터를 활용한 대기차량길이, 링크통행시간 추정 및 교통상황판단 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Queue Length, Link Travel Time Estimation and Traffic Condition Decision Algorithm using Taxi GPS Data)

  • 기존 실시간 신호제어시스템의 루프검지기 기반 수집체계의 한계를 극복하기 위해 실시간 택시 GPS 데이터를 신호제어에 활용할 수 있는 방안에 대한 연구의 일환으로, 본 논문은 2016년 발표한 링크평균통행시간과 대기차량길이의 추정 모형과 교통상황 판단 알고리즘에 대해 평과와 개선을 수행하였다. 링크평균통행시간은 연동그룹과 비연동그룹을 고려하여 평균통행시간을 고도화하였고, 대기차량길이는 교통상황을 고려하여 추정모형을 고도화 하였다. 링크평균통행시간의 정확도는 약 95%, 대기차량길이의 정확도는 약 85%로 분석되었다. 교통상황판단 알고리즘은 정확도가 향상된 통행속도와 대기차량길이를 반영하였다. 반영된 지표들의 변동을 줄이고 교통상황의 추세를 판단하기 위해 평활화를 수행하였으며, 과포화 상황 판단 기준에 통과주기를 반영하여 알고리즘을 고도화하였다.

  • 4세대 이동통신 시스템의 효율적인 서비스 지원을 위해서는 스케줄러를 이용한 자원 할당이 매우 중요하다. 많은 연구들을 통하여 다양한 스케줄러들이 제안 되었지만 기존의 방법들은 실시간 트래픽과 비 실시간 트래픽이 다양하게 공존하는 실제 동작 시나리오를 반영하기 보다는 특정 동작 시나리오에만 초점을 맞춰 실제 환경에서 실시간 서비스의 지연조건을 만족 시키지 못하거나, 전체 쓰루풋이 떨어지는 문제점이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 가상 시간과 가상 완료시간을 통하여 단말을 스케줄링하고, 긴급도를 이용하여 단말 내 버퍼를 스케줄링 하는 IEEE 802.16m 시스템용 효율적인 상향링크 스케줄링 기법을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안된 스케줄러는 실시간 서비스의 지연 성능을 만족시키면서도 쓰루풋은 향상되는 성능을 보였다.

  • Recently, with the advent of satellite communication technologies, the network access service through satellites has emerged as an alternative to existing ones. Of satellite access services including multimedia services, the high speed internet access service will be one of the important services. Particularly, the efficient transportation of real time internet traffic seems very essential. The aim of this research is to examine the applicability of the IETF RTP protocol in the satellite access network. The RTP has been developed for the QoS-met transportation protocol of real time traffic over the existing best-effort internet. This paper summarizes the RTP protocol, and describes the architecture of the implementation of the RTP. And also, the compressed RTP header protocol is discussed for the applicability to the satellite link.

실시간 차량 동역학 해석을 위한 안티 롤 바 힘 계산 알고리듬 (Anti Roll Bar Force Computation Algorithm for Real Time Multibody Vehicle Dynamics)

  • Anti roll bar model for real time multibody vehicle dynamics model has been proposed using kinematic constraint. Anti roll bar have been modeled by kinematic relationship, and mass properties are neglected. Relative angle of torsion bar spring is computed by constraint about drop-link using Newton-Raphson iteration, and then the torque of torsion bar spring can be computed with the angle and torsion spring stiffness. Finally anti roll bar force acting on both knuckle can be calculated. To validate the proposed method, half car simulations of McPherson strut suspension and full car simulations are also carried out comparing with the ADAMS vehicle model with anti roll bar. CPU times are also measured to see the real-time capabilities of the proposed method.

  • In the rapidly propagating Internet based electronic transaction environment. the importance of real time order confirmation has been more emphasized, In this paper, using data mining techniques, we develop intelligent operations decision model to allow real time order confirmation at the time the customer places an order with required delivery terms. Among various operation plannings used for order fulfillment. mill routing is the first interface decision point to link the order receiving at the marketing with the production planning for order fulfillment. Though linear programming based mathematical optimization techniques are mostly used for mill routing problems, some early orders should wait until sufficient orders are gathered for optimization. And that could effect longer order fulfillment lead-time, and prevent instant order confirmation of delivery terms. To cope with this problem, we provide the intelligent decision model to allow instant order based mill routing decisions. Data mining techniques of decision trees and neural networks. which are more popular in marketing and financial applications, are used to develop the model. Through diverse computational trials with the industrial data from the steel company. we have reported that the performance of the proposed approach is effective compared to the present heuristic only mill routing results. Various issues of data mining techniques application to the mill routing problems having linear programming characteristics are also discussed.

GPS 데이터를 이용한 대기행렬길이 산출에 관한 연구 (Study on Queue Length Estimation using GPS Trajectory Data)

  • 기존 실시간 신호제어시스템은 과포화 상황, 지점검지 및 매설식 검지체계의 문제점이 제기됨에 따라 ITS의 활성화와 검지체계의 발전 등으로 진보된 차세대 신호제어시스템의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문은 차세대 신호제어시스템을 위해 신호제어 기초 변수를 기존 통과교통량이 아닌 교차로 대기행렬을 활용할 수 있도록 대기행렬길이의 산출을 목적으로 하였다. 기존 시스템의 한계로 나타난 과포화 상황에 중점을 두어 범위를 설정하였다. 실시간으로 수집되는 개별차량 위치정보를 좌표로 변환하여 최소제곱법을 이용한 회귀모형에 적용하여 추출한 직선식을 충격파 모형에 적용하였다. 산출된 대기길이와 링크길이의 비교를 통해 대기길이가 링크를 초과하는 경우 상류부 대기차량이 하류부 교차로에 영향을 미친다고 판단하여 하류부 교차로 대기행렬까지 대기길이로 포함하였다. 추출된 대기행렬길이의 신뢰성을 판단하고자 링크 통행시간과의 상관분석을 실시한 결과 두 링크 모두 0.9이상의 수치를 나타내며 높은 상관관계를 보이는 것으로 판단되었다. 본 연구는 실시간으로 수집되는 데이터를 이용하여 대기행렬길이를 산출할 수 있다는 점과 이를 이용하여 신호제어시스템의 개선에 기여할 수 있다는데 의의가 있다.

CAN 네트워크상의 효율적인 대역 할당을 위한 분산 선행대기 열 기법 (A Distributed Precedence Queue Mechanism to Assign Efficient Bandwidth in CAN Networks)

  • This paper presents a distributed precedence queue mechanism to resolve unexpected transmission delay of a lower priority transaction in a CAN based system, which keeps a fixed priority in data transaction. The mechanism is implemented in the upper sub-layer of the data link layer(DLL), which is fully compatible with the original medium access control layer protocol of CAN. Thus the mechanism can be implemented dynamically while the data transactions are going on without any hardware modification. The CAN protocol was originally developed to be used in the automotive industry, and it was recently applied for a broader class of automated factories. Even though CAN is able to satisfy most of real-time requirements found in automated environments, it is not to enforce either a fair subdivision of the network bandwidth among the stations or a satisfactory distribution of the access delays in message transmission. The proposed solution provides a superset of the CAN logical link layer control, which can coexist with the older CAN applications. Through the real experiments, effectiveness of the proposed mechanism is verified.

이종 트래픽 다중 처리 시스템의 폭주제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Congestion Control in the Integrated Heterogeneous Traffic Multiplexer)

  • The congestion control methods of an integrated heterogeneous traffic multiplexer are studied. The real-time traffics have preemptive priority over nonreal-time traffics in capturing the common output link. Also real-time traffics are transmitted with bandwidth reduction when the nonreal-time traffics are over the buffer threshold. The proposed model formulated the system as a continous time Markov process and is analysed using matrix equation. Time delay and average number of used channel are applied for performance parameters. In this study, a new control method with the sizable buffer threshold is introduced and the optimal congestion control can be obtained.
