모서리 검출과 추적을 이용한 차선 감지 및 추적 알고리즘 (Lane Detection and Tracking Algorithm based on Corner Detection and Tracking)

  • 본 논문에서는 모서리 검출을 이용하여 추출된 모서리를 추적함으로써 차선을 검출하고 추적하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 양 차선이 연속되지 않고 끊긴 형태로 존재하거나 교차되는 등의 다양한 차선의 형태에도 높은 추출률을 보이는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이는 이러한 형태의 차선의 비율이 높은 시내도로 와 국도에서의 차선 추출에 보다 유리하다. 이러한 점을 증명하기 위해 테스트는 주로 불연속적이고 교차되는 형태의 차선이 많은 도로에서 실시하였고 평균 87% 이상의 추출률을 보여주었다.

GPS 휴대폰을 이용한 차량경로용 도로망 데이터베이스 수정 방안 (A Road Database Update Method for Vehicle Routing Using GPS Cellular Phone)

  • As the use of vehicle route application and LBS(location based service) are fast grew, the importance of maintaining road network data is also increased. To maintain road data accuracy, we can collect road data by driving real roads with probe vehicle, or using digital image processing for the extraction of roads from aerial imagery. After compare the new road data to current database, we can update the road database, but that job is mostly time and money consuming or can be inaccurate. In this paper, an updating method of using GPS(global positioning system) enabled cell phone is proposed. By using GPS phone, we can update road database easily and sufficiently accurately.

도심 어린이집 주변 도로상 대기오염도 특징 (On-road Air Pollution Characteristics around a Day-care Center in Urban Area)

  • Five on-road measurements were made using a mobile laboratory (ML) to characterize spatial and temporal air pollutant distributions over roads around a day-care center in urban area on 30 August 2013. Fixed monitoring was also done near the day-care center using the ML during the periods between on-road measurements. On-road air pollution monitoring route was classified into seven sections and three zones to identify severe polluted roads among many roads having different traffic volumes and directions. Typical pollutants emitted from vehicles such as $NO_x$, black carbon, particle-bound polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and submicron particles including nanoparticles were monitored using real-time instruments. Peak concentration episodes were frequently observed during the on-road measurements and most peaks were simultaneously monitored at four pollutants. Colored on-road air pollution map for each pollutant provides an insight on spatial air pollution distribution, showing heavily polluted roads and sections. Average on-road $NO_x$ concentration of each run was similar to that monitored at the nearest roadside air monitoring station.

굴곡진 도로에서의 구간 선형 모델을 이용한 차선 검출 (Lane Detection on Non-flat Road Using Piecewise Linear Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 굴곡진 도로를 구간 선형 모델로 근사화한 차선 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 차선 검출 알고리즘들은 지표면이 평면이라는 가정을 이용하기 때문에, 도로면이 굴곡진 실제 도로에서는 강건한 차선 검출이 어렵다. 제안하는 방법에서는 이 문제를 전체 차로를 구간으로 분할하고, 각 구간 내에서 차로를 가장 잘 근사하는 평면 차로를 구함으로써 해결한다. 이를 위해 각 구간 내에서 다양한 각도와 위치를 가지는 평면 형태의 구간 차로 후보들을 생성하였다. 구간 차로 후보들의 연결 조합 중 실제 차로에 가장 가까운 조합을 다이나믹프로그래밍을 이용하여 찾음으로써 굴곡진 차로를 근사한다. 평면 도로 뿐 아니라, 상하, 좌우의 굴곡이 있는 도로 영상으로 구성된 데이터세트에 대하여 제안하는 방법의 차선 검출 성능을 검증하였다. 평면 도로를 가정한 기존의 방법들이 80%에서 90% 초반의 검출률을 보이는 반면, 제안하는 방법은 90% 후반의 검출률을 보임을 통해 굴곡진 도로에서의 차선 검출의 강건성을 입증하였다.

  • 기술발전에 따라 드라이빙 시뮬레이터는 다양한 용도로 활용되고 있다. 드라이빙 시뮬레이터 실험에서 시나리오 개발은 실험결과의 신뢰를 높이고 연구목표를 달성하며 운전자에게 보다 실제같은 경험을 제공하는데 필수적이다. 그러나 시나리오를 개발하는데 데이터베이스 형성과 실시간 시나리오 운영 등에는 아직도 제약이 많다. 본 연구는 이러한 환경에서 실제 도로에서 실시간 주행속도와 기상데이터를 수집하고 활용하는데 가능성을 확인하고자 한다. 또한 본 연구를 통해 아두이노 센서 데이터와 공공API 데이터를 연계하는 방안도 제시하고자 한다. 연구결과의 검증을 위해 실제도로에서 시험을 실시했으며 본 연구를 통해 드라이빙 시뮬레이터에서 실시간 데이터를 활용한 시나리오 개발에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

  • In this paper, we propose new method which can provide user the path to the target place efficiently. It stores the state of roads to target place as the form of Q-table and finds the proper path using Q-table.0-table is updated by the information about real traffic which is reported by users. This method can provides the proper path, using less storage and less computation time than the conventional method which stores entire road traffic information and finds the path by graph search algorithm.

  • To overcome the limitation that traditional GISs lose much information for the real world, 4-dimensional GIS has the additional reference systems including object's height and temporal dimension. This paper describes the 4-dimensional geometric object model and components. The prototype for 4-dimensional GIS consists of the data provider, manager, and renderer components. We show the virtual city that its database contains topographic maps, buildings, roads and temporal history data. This provides spatial, temporal operations and analysis functions.

Cave Features as a Tourism Resource

  • The modern people spend more time with heir family on weekends, and this changed the perspective toward leisure and tourism. Along with this, the recognition toward tourism resources have underwent various modifications with the increasing number of family tourists. Caves are categorized as lava tube (formed by volcano activity), lime stone cave(formed by absorption of water into underground level), sea cave (formed by wave erosion) and artificial cave that were made for the fluent traffic activity of railways or roads. Caves manifest characteristics of tourism as a natural resources and tourism as a humanity study, so caves are valuable as a multipurpose tourism resource.

도시부도로 제한속도 산정모형 개발 및 효과분석 연구 (Development of Speed Limits Estimation Model and Analysis of Effects in Urban Roads)

  • Appropriate speed limits at a reasonable level in urban roads are highly important factors for efficient and safe movement. Thus, it is greatly necessary to develop the objective models or methodology based on engineering study considering factors such as traffic accident rates, roadside development levels, and roadway geometry characteristics etc. The purpose of this study is to develop the estimate model of appropriate speed limits at each road sections in urban roads using traffic information big data and field specific data and to review the effects of accident decrease. In this study, the estimate method of appropriate speed limits in directional two or more lanes of urban roads is reflecting features of actual variables in a form of adjustment factor on the basis of the maximum statutory speed limits. As a result of investigating and testing influential variables, the main variables to affect the operating speed are the function of road, the existence of median, the width of lane, the number of traffic entrance/exit path and the number of traffic signal or nonsignal at intersection and crosswalk. As a result of testing this model, when the differences are bigger between the real operating speed and the recommended speed limits using model developed in this study, the accident rate generally turns out to be higher. In case of using the model proposed in this study, it means accident rate can be lower. When the result of this study is applied, the speed limits of directional two or more lane roads in Seoul appears about 11km/h lower than the current speed limits. The decrease of average operating speed caused by the decrease of speed limits is 2.8km/h, and the decrease effect of whole accidents according to the decrease of speed is 18% at research road. In case that accident severity is considered, the accident decrease effects are expected to 17~24% in fatalities, 11~17% in seriously injured road user, 6~9% in slightly injured road user, 5~6% in property damage only accidents.

이동 측정방법을 사용한 부산지역 주요 도로의 대기오염도 조사 (An Investigation into Air Quality of Main Roads in Busan using Mobile Platform Measurement)

  • Mobile sources produce a significant fraction of total anthropogenic emissions in Korea and have harmful effects on air quality. Mobile emissions are intrinsically difficult to estimate due to complicated road networks and variations of traffic volume with location and time. To measure traffic pollutants with high temporal and spatial resolution under real conditions a mobile laboratory was designed. The mobile laboratory provide concentrations of $SO_2$, CO, NO, $NO_2$ and location coordinate value. This approach allowed for pollutant level measurements on many roads within short periods of time. In this study, on-road concentrations of $SO_2$, CO, NO and $NO_2$ were measured using mobile platform measurement along the 25 main roads in Busan to estimate the average air pollution level in short time difference. The measurements were conducted on favorable meteorological days from 2010 to 2012 and the overall concentrations of $SO_2$, CO, NO and $NO_2$ were 0.006, 0.8, 0.182 and 0.055 ppm respectively. The result showed that the concentration of CO, NO and $NO_2$ on road were twice, 18 times and 2.5 times higher than regional air quality monitoring sites mean in same period.
