이 연구의 목적은 초등학생들이 선호하는 학습만화에 대한 독서지도의 필요성을 제기하고, 학습만화 독서지도 방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 초등학교 4학년 학생을 대상으로 2차에 걸쳐 총 8차시의 학습만화 독서지도프로그램을 개발하여 실행하였다. 프로그램 실행은 1차와 2차로 나누어 실시하였고, 1차 프로그램 실행 후 문제점을 보완하여 2차 프로그램을 설계 하여 실시하였다. 연구결과 독서부진아 및 학습부진아에 대한 교육 시 학습만화를 적절히 활용한다면 학습 집중력이 떨어져 있는 아동들의 독서의욕과 학습능력을 증진 시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 초등학생들이 학습만화를 통해 갖게 된 관련 분야에 대한 관심과 흥미를 독서의욕과 학습능력을 높일 수 있는 동기로 활용할 수 있도록 적극적으로 학습만화 독서지도 방안을 개발할 필요가 있다.

이 연구는 태도에 대한 이해를 높이고 여러 학자들이 개발한 독서태도 모형의 비교와 분석을 통하여 독서태도 조사를 위한 설문 내용을 개발하고자 한 것이다. 태도는 개인이 어떠한 사건이나 문제, 사람이나 사물 등에 대하여 어떤 인식과 감정을 가지고 있으며, 또한 그 대상에 대해 가지고 있는 반응의 준비상태를 말하는 것이다. 태도는 정서, 인지, 행동으로 구성되어 있으며, 태도는 경험이나 학습에 의하거나 가치판단에 의해서 형성되는 것이다. 독서태도는 독서에 대한 신념이나 의견을 나타내는 인지적 요소와 독서에 대한 감정이나 평가를 나타내는 정의적 요소, 실질적으로 독서하려는 행동이나 의도를 나타내는 행동적 요소의 3가지 요소로 구성되어 있다. 독서태도 모형의 구성요소를 분석해보면 독서태도 형성에 영향을 미치는 요인은 독서경험, 독서결과에 대한 신념, 타인의 기대에 대한 신념, 독서환경 등을 들 수 있다. 따라서, 독서태도 조사를 위한 설문의 내용은 독서경험, 독서결과에 대한 신념, 타인의 기대에 대한 신념, 독서환경 등이 포함되어야 한다.

본 연구는 국내외 독서진흥정책에 대한 평가를 통해 독서 문화를 활성화시킬 수 있는 독서진흥 정책을 제안하는 것을 목표로 한다. "독서문화진흥법"을 중심으로 국내 독서진흥 정책에 대해 살펴보고, 해외 독서진흥 정책은 인프라 구축, 세제 지원법, 캠페인으로 유형화하였다. 그리고 독서진흥정책에 대한 체계적이고 구체적인 평가 작업을 위해 델파이 조사를 통해 전문가 집단의 의견을 수렴하였으며, 정책에 대한 인지 정도, 독서진흥에 기여정도, 여론지지 정도, 정책 시행의 현실성 등의 기준을 제시하였다. 또한 초점집단인터뷰를 실시하여 정책의 대상이자 독서를 하는 일반인들의 의견도 수렴하였다. 연구 결과, 독서가 교육적 도구가 아닌 즐거움의 도구라는 인식의 전환과 그러한 독서 문화 정착을 위한 사회적 캠페인을 활성화할 필요성을 확인했다.

Since the introduction of literature in reading and writing during the 1970s, considerable research has attempted to determine whether literature has significantly positive effects upon enhancement of reading proficiency. It is said that literature extends our knowledge of the world. Through books, we can experience other people's thoughts, experiences, and ideas (Frye, 1964). This paper explored the role of children's literature for the teaching of reading through the literature-based instruction. It focused on why and how children's literature serves as an important context for enhancing learner's reading proficiency of English. It also discussed the authentic use of literature-based strategies for practical classroom use, and suggested the future directions for research toward the literature-based instruction in the domain of reading comprehension.

이 연구의 목적은 미국 청소년의 독서행태 및 학교 안팎의 독서환경의 특성에 대하여 분석 및 기술하는 것이다. 먼저 미국, 영국 및 아일랜드 청소년의 독서행태에 관한 주요한 연구 및 각종 통계보고서들을 검토하고, 가정의 독서환경, 학교도서관을 중심으로 한 학교 독서환경 및 공공도서관을 중심으로 한 사회적 독서환경을 기술하였다. 1950년대 이후 학교도서관의 비약적 확산과 공공도서관 청소년서비스의 발전을 가져온 미국의 사례는 점점 감소하는 청소년 독서율의 제고 및 독서환경의 조성에 국가, 학교, 사회, 가정이 협력해야 함을 보여준다.

This Study aims to research how we read Korean classical narrative in the digital era and the culture digital made. The meaning of reading Korean classical narrative in digital culture can be divided in four category; first, reading the old narrative text that made and enjoyed a long time ago in digital era, second, reading the old narrative text that made in the old times not as th book but by the media environment that the digital technology made up, third, reading the extended and modified media text by the digital technology from the original old narrative text, fourth, reading the text by the digital technology seeking for the original narrative text as archetype. And it is inspected that the characteristic of the digital era and how to read the four type of Korean classical narrative through the example. So we can consider about the characteristic of enjoying Korean classical narrative and method of reading the diversified Korean classical narrative by the digital. Finally, it is conclusion that we must think over the original text of Korean classical narrative and adhere classicality. And we learned we should research more abundant Korean classical narrative text.

This paper examined the role of intermediate texts in the writing process in the context of an EFL composition class. From the tradition of teacher research, this study examined how the Korean college students in different proficiency groups created intermediate texts and used them while composing their own writing. The students produced various types of intermediate texts during the compositing process, which could serve as a basis of their writing. However, the patterns of using these intermediate texts differed widely across the proficiency groups. A writing cycle for the low proficiency group, or "surface reading-few intermediate texts-writing," indicates that less proficient students tended to engage in reading in separation of writing practices and thus produced few intermediate texts through their literacy practices. On the other hand, the students in the higher proficiency groups revealed the more integrated pattern (i.e., purpose reading/intermediate texts/writing), indicating that they often engaged in reading with specific writing purposes, practiced reading in connection to other writing practices, and elaborated written intermediate texts produced. This study argues that, to shift our student writers to a higher level category, we as teachers need to help them engage in reading and writing practices in the way they produce and use intermediate texts appropriate to their specific writing purposes.

This paper presents the AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) system using the binary CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) radio technology. The binary CDMA is the new radio technology in domestic research. Main implementation topics includes the binary CDMA remote meter reading system, the wireless piconet configuration for the wireless automatic meter reading, and the transmission scheduling for sending and receiving data. Also, the wireless packet data encryption is very important topics for the wireless automatic meter reading. The proposed AMR system is implemented as a pilot project in Jeju and Gangwon. It can be seen that the wireless remote reading using the binary CDMA wireless technology can be applied to the AMR system.

A communication protocol for automatic meter reading is designed for electronic power meter. Communicational functions and data structures are standardized and data reading software is developed according to the developed protocol. The communication protocol is designed with reference specifications, IEC 62056-31 and Distributed Network Protocol(DNP). For design, communicational functions and specifications of the industrial meters were analyzed for the purpose of developing a new one for KEPCO meters. The protocol is designed with 3 layer model, physical layers, data link layer and application layer. A documentation was completed with data gathering, data classification, authentication, error detection. An emulator system was made for testing the protocol. A meter reading software was developed using the protocol. Many different protocols and meter reading softwares are integrated into one with the developed protocol and software as KEPCO's standard.

In this study, we examined the effects of a mother's reading motivation on the home literacy environment. Seven hundred fifty-seven mothers with three to five year old children participated in this study and completed the Adult Motivation for Reading Scale and the Home Literacy Environment Questionnaire. The subcategories of the Adult Motivation for Reading Scale are "reading as part of self," "reading efficacy," "reading for recognition," and "reading to do well in other realms." The Home Literacy Environment Questionnaire has three subcategories, namely reading books, reading behavior and modeling of parents, and literacy learning. The mean, standard deviation, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results showed that (1) the home literacy environment was significantly different depending on the mother's education and family income levels, (2) the mother's reading motivation also differed significantly depending on the mother's education and family income levels, and (3) the mother's reading motivation has a significant explanatory effect on the home literacy environment. In addition, the mothers falling into the reading motivation subcategories of "reading part of self" or "reading to do well in other realms" were found to enrich their home literacy environment. Therefore, this study demonstrates that the mother's reading motivation is an important factor affecting the home literacy environment.
