Reading postmodern texts certainly situates readers in roles different from the ones we have been used to. Recently, postmodern metafiction forms a significant body of children's literature that is intended to challenge and transform the conventions of books in the digital age. While many studies have been done as to how child readers have capabilities to appreciate and interpret postmodern metafiction picture books, few studies on teachers and preservice teachers' reactions are not readily available. The role of teachers and preservice teachers are crucial for child readers to have access to affluent reading resources. This study discusses how preservice teachers read and respond to postmodern metafiction picture books using a deconstructive approach by means of binary opposites. Data was collected with 14 preservice teachers as to their likes/dislikes, reading levels, and reading paths about postmodern metafiction picture books. Expected pedagogical implications for literacy and language education were requested to address in their reading diaries and response papers. With their likes/ dislikes, since binary opposites always imply the hierarchy of power and value, the likes is apparently more valued and appreciated over their dislikes. This differentiated values are discussed in more detail with three recurring themes-Education, Morals and Behavior, and Tradition. With reading levels, there seems to be a gap existing between the authors' implied reader and literary critics' and the preservice teachers' ideal readers for the postmodern metafiction picture books. Although many studies have already revealed young readers' capability of appreciating postmodern metafiction, it depends a lot more on the teachers and preservice teachers whether children's right to have access to affluent literacy resources is respected or not. Preservice teachers' awareness of the potential of postmodern metafiction will work as an initial step to bring and realize the new reading path and new literacies in classrooms. By challenging metanarratives of children's literature, preservice teachers' readings of postmodern picture books reveals potentials to raise different reading paths and develop new literacies and other educational implications.

만화는 넓이와 위치값을 가지고 있는 연속적인 칸을 배열하여 이야기를 전개하므로 문자언어인 텍스트에 비해 공간 예술에 가까우나, 보통 만화를 읽을 때 한 페이지 안에서 왼쪽에서 오른쪽으로, 위에서 아래쪽으로 시선이 흐르는 전형적인 텍스트 읽기 관습에서 벗어나지 않는다. 그러나 만화 공간 문법의 여러 요소에 따라 부분적으로 읽기 순서가 뒤바뀌는 경우가 있다. 본 논문은 칸의 배치와 내용, 혹은 프레임 바깥에 존재하는, 만화책을 읽는 독자 시선의 흐름 순서를 뒤바꾸는 여러 가지 요소들을 분석해보았다. 나아가, 책이라는 매체와 가장 흡사하나 페이지 제한이 없는 무한 캔버스인 타블렛 PC용 전자만화책의 공간에서, 상호작용 기능을 활용하여 읽기 순서를 바꾸는 레이아웃 기법을 제안해 보았다. 이에 향후 전개될 타블렛 PC용 전자만화의 레이아웃 형태를 전망하는데 의의를 두었다.

For this study of the writing performance of verbally gifted elementary and middle school students and its relations to home literary environment, reading attitude, perceived verbal ability, and preference for verbal expression, a sample of 101 verbally gifted children was recruited from classes in a gifted education institute in P metropolitan area. Results of path analyses show that verbally gifted children's home literary environment affects reading attitude and perceived verbal ability; reading attitude and perceived verbal ability affects preference for verbal expression; and preference for verbal expression directly affects writing performance. Results imply that the indirect relations of home literary environment to verbally gifted children's writing performance are an important foundation for developing preference for verbal expression and writing skills.

One of the activities that are almost used by instructors to assess the undergraduate learners (students) performances in the teaching and learning system is performing researches. It's most probably that learners prepare a presentation for the research, through which they conduct their ideas to the audiences (the instructor and their colleagues). Recently, a phenomenon was monitored regarding the research preparation process practiced by the learners, that the majority go directly to the websites, in which they could easily find tons of attractive and ready-made information that fill the gaps of their heavy homework gained from several courses. It's a convenient activity for learners to go through this easy path to fulfil their duties, but the issue is that the output of such path is so weak. The gained information in this case is so shallow, loose, and could easily been evaporated after a while. There is a need to examine the impact of a missing skill in the current learners' generation: the reading practice. It's noticed that library visits to read books were strongly decreased compared with what was happening in the older generations, where the piece of information was hard to collect, but in the same time, is hard to be forgotten. As a part of the teaching and learning process, and through a college of Engineering, this study will introduce results of the comparison between the outputs of the two methods of collecting information: through the web, and through the traditional book reading. This is to highlight the importance of reading through an experiment applied on one section of students who were asked to prepare a research from a certain chapter of their textbook, and compare that with a prior research they had prepared from the websites. The results were impressive and reflected the importance of the missed reading activity.

The purpose of this study was to develop a theoretical model from which to test the influence of family background and work experience on the level of rural high school students' (N=381) occupational aspirations. In the basic model, mother's occupation directly influenced occupational aspirations. Father's education influenced occupational aspirations directly and also indirectly through students' academic achievement. The number of working hours per week had a direct and negative influence on academic achievement. In a different path, working hours had an indirect positive influence on academic achievement through parents' different treatment which especially focused on the fact that parents gave students more freedom compared to the relationship they shared before the students began to work. Enjoying school, studying homework, and extra reading were influenced by students' number of working hours. Two variables, extra reading and job characteristics, predict the social acceptance work attitudes which are a direct predictor of occupational aspirations. Academic achievement had a greater total effect on the level of occupational aspirations than any other variables.

In this study, PC controlled CNC automatic cutting system is developed. Technological introduction of the control process and the computer programming has made possible not only the automatic control for cutting processing unit but also the easy-to-use graphic software that enables the cutting process. This program involves shape part drawing and amendment, pattern reading and saving, reading Autocad file, nesting process, kerf compensation, automatic cutting path generation, NC file conversion and motor control. Software is devided into 3 modules for easy work. First step enables drawing, amendment and pattern making, followed by automatic nesting and cutting path generation with kerf compensation. In the final step, drawing data is transmitted for the resulting automatic cutting processes. This software would be applicated in gas cutting and textile cutting so that it improves the productivity of cutting process.

청소년들이 바람직한 사회인으로 성장할 수 있도록 자기효능감을 함양하고 자신에게 적합한 진로를 준비하며 창의성과 모험심을 갖추는 것은 매우 중요하다. 이런 시기에 다양하고 생생한 정보를 문자로 정제하여 전달하는 신문은 좋은 교재가 될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 청소년들의 신문구독여부로 확인한 'NIE(Newspaper In Education)의 수행여부'가 자기효능감 및 진로인식, 기업가정신의 함양에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 전국의 초등학교 고학년 및 중학생을 대상으로 한 283건의 설문조사를 통한 실증분석결과 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 청소년들의 신문구독은 자기효능감, 진로인식, 기업가정신에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 신문의 지속적인 구독은 자기효능감에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 이러한 자기효능감은 진로인식과 기업가정신에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이로서 신문을 활용한 특별한 프로그램을 실시하지 않더라도 신문을 구독하는 것만으로 자기효능감, 진로인식, 기업가정신의 함양에 도움이 됨을 알 수 있다. 이는 신문구독과정에서 접하는 많은 정보와 다양한 의견들이 청소년의 주관 형성에 도움이 되고, 직업에 대한 이해와 관심을 제고시키며, 창의 및 도전정신을 포함한 사회성의 발전에 기여하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 청소년들의 신문활용교육이 자기효능감과 진로인식 뿐만 아니라 기업가정신에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 확인한 최초의 연구로서 의미가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze Alva Aalto's libraries for understanding his efficient induction of natural light. To fulfill this purpose, Alvar Aalto's thought about library and natural light are examined through his working years and building types. The comparison of his libraries on usage of natural light shows different ways of natural light induction based on different locations and programs of libraries. Similarities and differences of Alvar Aalto's library architecture have strong relationship to the usage of natural light in libraries because Alvar Aalto himself regard reading as the core function of library and the efficient use of natural light is the main key of reading. In his natural light planning, regional characteristics including environmental factors and programmatic differences act as a basic standard for natural light plan. Especially, altitude of sun and its path, seasonal features affect the induction way of natural light. While conical skylights used at Viipuri library shows the characteristics of universality in Modernism architecture, later libraries presents not only various kinds of pan-shape plan but different ways of inducing natural light in according to appropriate function. From conical skylight to monitor with curved reflection wall make it possible shed diffused light to reading space and this affects to form Alvar Aalto's organic architecture. As a result, using natural light in Alvar Aalto's library architecture act as the core of forming library concepts and their development.

This research focuses the safety problems for consumers with the viewpoint of behaviorism. Specially three issues are addressed: 1) Variables influencing the consumer's safety consciousness 2) The comparision of consumer's safety seeking behavior according to the product type 3) The relation of variables influencing the consumer's safety-seeking behaviors. In this paper, I deal with mainly the gas products and agricultural products and then observe the consumers' reaction for those two products concerning to the consumer's safety problem. For this purpose, I distributed the questionnaire to the residents I Seoul and suburban area of age between 20 and 60 years old. As a result, consumers put high values and concerns on general safety, but have quite negative concepts on society's safety problems generally. It was found that the consciousness on this problem was higher among those people who were reading journals for consumers, who have high education or high incomes, or who were unemployed house wives. In gas products, the level of consumer's safety seeking behavior and subareas were higher than in agricultural products. In the matter of the variables which affect the consumer's safety seeking behavior directly, those were safety consciousness variables and experience of reading journal for consumer in gas products, and safety consciousness vatiabls, consumer education experience, experience of injury, being employed and being married in agricultural products. Also as the result of path analysis, experience of reading journal for consumer, being employed, education and income level influenced indirectly the consumer safety seeking behavior.

지능형 경로 이동 기능을 갖춘 드론을 이용하여, IoT형 열화상 기반 태양광 고장 검출 장비의 개발 및 드론과의 연동을 최적화하여 취득된 이미지 데이터의 실시간 분석을 통해 태양광 발전소의 고장 판독을 용이하게 함으로써, 태양광발전소의 발전율 향상과 효율적인 유지관리 모델을 만들 수 있는 기반 기술의 제시와 이미지 차감 분석기법을 이용하여 태양광 패널의 고장을 판독할 수 있는 시스템을 설계한다.
