  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of on temperature control from actuating method, recycling ratio and the position (top, middle and bottom) of set and controlled temperature within the reactor in adiabatic ebullated recycling condition, when the disturbance was occurred. Estimation of the solution were performed numerically using the finite difference method. It was assumed that the reaction is in constant with heat of reaction and the physical properties(density, heat capacity and viscosity, etc) of the reactants are same condition within the reactor.

  • There appeared enhancements of the conversion of methane by adding a small amount of CO in the aromatization reaction of methane using the Mo-zeolite catalyst. In case of adding $CO_{2}$, $CO_{2}$ changed to CO first, and then the conversion reaction occurred. It was observed by using isotopes as reactants that CO is related to the aromatization reaction of methane.

  • This investigation is the studies on the solubility analysis for several pharmaceuticals. The equilibrium reactions leading to complex formation of Caffeine and Nicotinamide with Lidocaine and Saccharin have been studied. The equilibrium constant of each complexes have also been calculated. It is shown that complex formation may lead to an increase in the solubilities of the reactants, and that Nicotinamide has more complexing activity than Caffeine. The influence of chemical structure of each components on interaction is also discussed.

  • When concrete structures are built in marine environment, they may be deteriorated and have the poor durability and quality caused by steel corrosion or by chemical attack of magnesium or sulfate ions. Especially, Mg ions contained in seawater make concrete surface weaken by chemical reaction with $Ca(OH)_2$ In this study, a concrete structure built in 1947 was investigated to estimate the factors, especially chemical attack, which can cause concrete to deteriorate. Furthermore, the instrumental analysis methods such as XRD and ESEM were performed to find the reactants in concrete under marine environment.

  • Nonlinear feedback control scheme for reactive distillation column has been proposed. The proposed control scheme is derived in the framework of Nonlinear Internal Model Control. The product compositions and liquid and vapor flow rates in sections of the reactive distillation column are estimated from selected tray temperature measurements by an observer. The control scheme is applied to example reactive distillation column in which two products are produced in a single column and the reversible reaction A + B = C + D occurs. The relative volatilities are favorable for reactive distillation so that the reactants are intermediated boilers between the light product C and the heavy product D. Ideal physical properties, kinetics and ...

  • A model describing the reaction rate and catalyst deactivation in a simplified reaction system was developed to investigate the significance of catalyst pore structure in terms of porosities, porosity ratios, and size ratios of reactants to pores. The model showed that the unimodal catalyst could give a better performance than the bimodal in certain circumstances and the crossover found in the reactivity curves resulted from a trade-off between surface area and diffusivity. Under the assumption of uniform coke buildup, the bimodal catalyst appeared to provide better resistance to deactation than unimodal catalyst.

  • The BSCCO superconductor materials of using Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis (SHS) were studied. Mechano-chemical activation - as a pre-treatment of the reactants mixture - strongly influences the kinetic parameters, the reaction mechanism, and the composition and structure of the final product. In this paper as an effort for fabricating the SHSed BSCCO superconductor powder SHS method was considered to application in the synthesis of superconducting materials.

  • The fluctuations in concentrations of reactants dominate the long-time dynamics of the single (A + A ${\rightarrow}$ 0) and two species (A + B ${\rightarrow}$ 0) diffusion-influenced annihilation reactions. Although hierarchical Smoluchowski approaches can provide a systematic and flexible framework to deal with the fluctuation effects, their results are too complicated to be analytically solved. For the efficient numerical calculation of the complicated fluctuation effect terms, we show that the presented point particle approximation is not only practical but also quite accurate for most conditions in diffusion-influenced reaction systems.

  • pure Mg and some Mg alloys are relatively rapidly corroded after operation, resulting in the decrease of mechanical strength and change of local ion concentration. In this study, the corrosion mechanism of biodegradable implant materials was investigated by corrosion tests of the Mg alloy in Hank's solution. Particularly, the crystal structures and chemical bonding state of corrosion reactants was systematically examined.
