We present a high resolution spectrum of PU Vul observed at Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory (BOAO) on April 9, 2004. Permitted emission and nebular lines of PU Vul had been significantly changed compared to all spectra observed since its eruption in 1979. Therefore all new lines should be re-identified and were done so. We do-convoluted a $H{\beta}$ line into several emission components with Gaussian functions. Then we carefully discussed the geometrical feature of PU Vul in April 2004.

근래에 일본을 비롯하여 한국과 대만 등 아시아 여러나라에서 광학소자의 플라스틱화로 흐름이 급속히 진행되고 있는 가운데 광학소자에 생기는 성형불량을 예측하는 기술에 관심이 모아지고 있다. 도레이 주식회사에서는 3차원 유한요소 모델용 시스템을 세계에서 처음 실용화에 성공한 바 있으며, 본 고에서는 이 기술에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 광학소자에 관한 CAE 해석의 역사는 아직 시작단계지만 요구 정밀도는 상당히 높기 때문에 끊임없이 해석기술의 정밀도화에 노력하고 있다. 또 미세 V(브이)홈에 있어서 전사성 평가에 대해서도 요구가 높기 때문에 예측 기술의 확립을 도모하고 있다.

The object-oriented programming languages are widely used in the modern software engineering. The procedural type FEM codes are still used because it is very hard and cost consuming job to re-code them into object-oriented programs. In this study, a FEM program was newly designed and coded with C++, an object-oriented language. Also a special programming technique, auto-loading technique was developed for open structured program, with which the extension and maintenance can be carried out easily. For example, the additions of element libraries to an existence FEM program do not require any modifications of the program.

Mass and radius of a neutron star in low-mass X-ray binary (LMXB) can be estimated simultaneously when the observed light curve and spectrum show the photospheric radius expansion feature. This method has been applied to 4U 1746-37 and the mass and radius were found to be unusually small in comparison with typical neutron stars. We re-estimate the mass and radius of this target by considering that the observed light curve and spectrum can be affected by other X-ray sources because this LMXB belongs to a very crowded globular cluster NGC 6441. The new estimation increases the mass and radius but they do not reach the typical values yet.
