Rotary mountages are the best mountages among all the mountages that are used in sericultural areas. But to use this mountage more space, separate mounting hall & requires more labour to pickup the matured worms. to over come these problems, self mounting method is adopted to save the time Er labour, But the mounting rate is generally less. To accelerate the mounting rate different repellents viz; saw dust, phytoecdysone, 1% cresol with paddy husk, lime, kaolin, gormalin chaff were used in the present study. The results indicated that highest number of larvae climbed the mountage in 1% cresol with paddy husk, followed by phytoecdysone and lime. It is observed that the use of repellents at wandering stage accilerates mounting rate and did not affect the quality of the cocoons and reeling characters.
In this paper, dynamic displacement is estimated with high accuracy by blending high-sampling rate acceleration data with low-sampling rate displacement measurement using a two-stage Kalman estimator. In Stage 1, the two-stage Kalman estimator first approximates dynamic displacement. Then, the estimator in Stage 2 estimates a bias with high accuracy and refines the displacement estimate from Stage 1. In the previous Kalman filter based displacement techniques, the estimation accuracy can deteriorate due to (1) the discontinuities produced when the estimate is adjusted by displacement measurement and (2) slow convergence at the beginning of estimation. To resolve these drawbacks, the previous techniques adopt smoothing techniques, which involve additional future measurements in the estimation. However, the smoothing techniques require more computational time and resources and hamper real-time estimation. The proposed technique addresses the drawbacks of the previous techniques without smoothing. The performance of the proposed technique is verified under various dynamic loading, sampling rate and noise level conditions via a series of numerical simulations and experiments. Its performance is also compared with those of the existing Kalman filter based techniques.

An experimental study was performed to investigate the improvement of response performance of a turbocharged diesel engine under the operating conditions of low speed and fast acceleration. In this study, the experiment for improving the low speed and acceleration performance is performed by means of injecting air into the intake manifold of compressor exit during the period of low speed and application of a fast acceleration from low speed. The effects of air injection into the intake manifold on the response performance were investigated at various applicant parameters such as air injection pressure, accelerating rate, accelerating time, engine speed and load. The experimental results show that air injection into the intake manifold at compressor exit is closely related to the improvement of turbocharger lag under low speed and accelerating conditions of a turbocharged diesel engine. During the rapid acceleration period, the air injection into the intake manifold of turbocharged diesel engine indicates the improvement of the combustion characteristics and gas pressure in the cylinder. At low speed range of the engine, the effect of air injection shows the improvement of the pressure distribution of turbocharger and combustion pressure during the period of gas exchange pressure.

Acceleration sensors have widely been used in the various fields of industry. In recent years, micromachining accelerometers have been developed and commercialized by the micromachining technique or MEMS technique. Typical structure of such sensors consist of a cantilever beam and a vibrating mass fabricated on Si wafers using etching. This study investigates the feasibility of powder blasting technique for microfabrication of sensor structures made of the pyrex glass alternating the existing Si based acceleration sensor. First, as preliminary experiment, effect of blasting pressure, mass flow rate of abrasive and no. of nozzle scanning on erosion depth of pyrex and soda lime glass is studied. Then the optimal blasting conditions are chosen for pyrex sensor. Structure dimensions of designed glass sensor are 2.9mm and 0.7mm for the cantilever beam length and width and 1.7mm for the side of square mass. Mask material is from aluminium sheet of 0.5mm in thickness. Machining results showed that tolerance errors of basic dimensions of glass sensor ranged from 3um in minimum to 20um in maximum. This results imply the powder blasting can be applied for micromachining of glass acceleration sensors alternating the exiting Si based sensors.

In this paper, a small and effective attitude estimation system for a humanoid robot was developed. Four small inertial sensors were packed and used for inertial measurements(3D accelerometer and three 1D gyroscopes.) An effective 3D pose estimation algorithm for low cost DSP using an extended Kalman filter was developed and evaluated. The 3D pose estimation algorithm has a very simple structure composed by 3 modules of a linear acceleration estimator, an external acceleration detector and an pseudo-accelerometer output estimator. The algorithm also has an effective switching structure based on probability and simple feedback loop for the extended Kalman filter. A special test equipment using linear motor for the testing of the 3D pose sensor was developed and the experimental results showed its very fast convergence to real values and effective responses. Popular DSP of TMS320F2812 was used to calculate robot's 3D attitude and translated acceleration, and the whole system were packed in a small size for humanoids robots. The output of the 3D sensors(pitch, roll, 3D linear acceleration, and 3D angular rate) can be transmitted to a humanoid robot at 200Hz frequency.

The purpose of this paper is to describe an application of plasma polymerized thin film as an electron beam resist. Plasma polymerized thin film was prepared using an interelectrode capacitively coupled gas-flow-type reactor, and chosen methylmethacrylate(MMA)and methylmethacrylate-tetrameth-yltin(MMA-TMT) as a monomer. This thin films were also delineated by the electron-beam apparatus with an acceleration voltage of 30kV and an expose dose ranging from 20 to 900$\mu$C/cmS02T. The delineated pattern in the resist was developed with the same reactor which is used for polymerization using an argon as etching gas. The growth rate and etching rate of the thin film is increased with increasing of discharge power. Thin films by plasma polymerization show polymerization rate of 30~45($\pm$3) A/min, and etching rate of 440($\pm$30) A/min during Ar plasma etching at discharge power of 100W. In apparently lower than that of conventional PMMA, but the plasma-etching rate of PP(MMA-TMT) was higher than that of PPMMA.
Liquefaction is one of the most devastating geotechnical phenomena that severely damage vital structures and lifelines. Before constructing structures on problematic ground, it is necessary to improve the site and solve the geotechnical problem. Among ground improvement methods dealing with liquefaction, gravel drain (GD) columns and deep soil mixing (DSM) columns are popular. In this study, the results of a series of seismic experiments in a 1g environment on a structure located over liquefiable ground with different thicknesses reinforced with GD and DSM techniques were presented. The dynamic response of the reinforced ground system was investigated based on the parameters of subsidence rate, excess pore water pressure ratio, and maximum acceleration. The time history of the input acceleration was applied harmonically with an acceleration range of 0.2g and at frequencies of 1, 2, and 3 Hz. The results show that the thickness of the liquefiable layer and the frequency of the input motion have a significant impact on the effectiveness of the improvement method and all responses. Among the two techniques used, DSM in thick liquefied layers was much more efficient than GD in controlling the subsidence and rupture of the soil under the foundation. Maximum settlement values, settlement rate, and foundation rotation in the thicker liquefied layer at the 1-Hz input frequency were higher than at other frequencies. At low thicknesses, the dynamic behavior of the GD was closer to that of the DSM.

As a preprocessing operation of transmitter antennas, the hybrid precoding is restricted by the limited computing resources of the transmitter. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel hybrid precoding that guarantees the communication efficiency with low complexity and a fast computational speed. First, the analog and digital precoding matrix is derived from the maximum eigenvectors of the channel matrix in the sub-connected architecture to maximize the communication rate. Second, the extended power iteration (EPI) is utilized to obtain the maximum eigenvalues and their eigenvectors of the channel matrix, which reduces the computational complexity caused by the singular value decomposition (SVD). Third, the Aitken acceleration method is utilized to further improve the convergence rate of the EPI algorithm. Finally, the hybrid precoding based on the EPI method and the Aitken acceleration algorithm is evaluated in millimeter-wave (mmWave) massive multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) systems. The experimental results show that the proposed method can reduce the computational complexity with the high performance in mmWave massive MIMO systems. The method has the wide application prospect in future wireless communication systems.

The inferences on a series system under the usual condition using data from constant stress partially accelerated life tests and type I censoring is studied. Two optimal designs to determine the sample proportion allocated each stress level model are also presented, which minimize the sum of the generalized asymptotic variances of maximum likelihood estimators of the failure rate and the acceleration factors and the sum of the asymptotic variances of maximum likelihood estimators of the acceleration factors for each component. Each component of a system is assumed to follow an exponenial distribution.
