고속철도 선호조사를 통한 교통수단간 연계특성조사 (An examination of the analysis of intermodal travel patterns using a stated preference survey for KTX)

  • The Korean high speed railway system is scheduled to open sometime in 2004. To fulfill its duties, it is essential to view intermodalism in easy access to high speed railway station. To study travelers' choice of mode and to make improvements the transfer, a SP survey of 3628 was conducted in national level in the fall of 2001. An understanding of KTX passenger mode choice is crucial for station-related facility capacity planning. Development of main and regional high speed stations, as well as changes in the roadway and railroad transportation system for station access, will influence the relative demand for traveling by train from compel ing other transportation mode. The research described here was designed to derive a general overview of the basic travel patterns with an emphasis on intermodal transportation system.

휴리스틱 탐색기법에 근거한 철도입환진로의 자동결정전략 설계 (Strategies for the Automatic Decision of Railway Shunting Routes Based on the Heuristic Search Method)

  • This paper proposes an expert system which can determine automatically the shunting routes corresponding to the given shunting works by considering totally the train operating environments in the station. The expert system proposes the multiple shunting routes with priority of selection based on heuristic search strategy. Accordingly, system operator can select a shunting route with the safety and efficiency among the those shunting routes. The expert system consists of a main inference engine and a sub inference engine. The main inference engine determines the shunting routes with selection priority using the segment routes obtained from the sub inference engine. The heuristic rules are extracted from operating knowledges of the veteran route operator and station topology. It is implemented in C computer language for the purpose of the implementation of the inference engine using the dynamic memory allocation technique. And, the validity of the builted expert system is proved by a test case for the model station.

대전 역세권의 산학연 연계 개발 방안에 관한 연구 (A Strategy for the Development of Impact Area Around Dae-Jun Rail Transit Station in Relating with the Industry-University-Institute Collaboration)

  • The Purpose of this study is to find out the renewal methods of Dae-jun railway station areas, focusing on the domestic/foreign case studies of the railway station areas and the possibility of the Industry-University-Institute collaboration in this area. As a result, this study shows that the revitalization for the impact area around rail transit station in the aspect of urban spatial structure, mixed land use, type of facilities and exchanging transit system of mass traffic etc, as well as such non-physical aspects as Industry-University-Institute collaboration and administrative planning. It does so by strengthening ties between hardware and software studies of urban planning and University Facilities planning. Finally this study suggested the strategy for the renewal of impact area around the rail transit stations.

지하역사에서의 화재연기거동 실험 (Experiments of Smoke Behavior in an Underground Subway Station)

  • Experiments were carried out to investigate smoke movement in platform of a subway station which currently is in service in Pusan, the second largest city in Korea. The recently constructed underground station of the "bank type" (two platforms on both sides of track) which is the popular layout of platforms in Korea, is chosen in Pusan. The smoke generator and heater are used for simulating the smoke movement at the fire break in the platform located in the 2nd basement of the station. Video recordings were used to monitor smoke lowering. In this study, the movements of smoke in the underground station are investigated under various smoke-control operating modes. Three tests wire conducted according to its operating mode of the ventilation systems in the platform: no operation of any ventilation systems, smoke extraction mode in occurrence of fire (presently running mode) and full capacity of smoke extraction where all vents are activated in the platform. The results can be used for comparing with the numerical prediction results of fire subway stations.

섬식 지하철역사내 화재시 연기제어에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study on the Smoke Control in Center-Platform Type Subway Station Fires)

  • In this study, numerical simulations were carried out to analyze the effect of the smoke extraction system and fire shutters in subway station fires using FDS 4.0. Subway station used in the experiment was 145 m long. Simulation results are validated by comparing with experimental results. Simulation results showed good agreement with experimental results within $10^{\circ}C$. 10 MW polystyrene was used as a fuel in the numerical prediction. Numerical predictions were performed in the center-platform type subway station in case of a kiosk fire. Temperature and CO concentration were lowered by the operation of smoke extraction system. But, the operation of fire shutters had little effect on temperature and CO concentration in the platform level.

철도경쟁체제 대비 철도시설 사용료 부과 전략 (The Strategies of Railway Facility Charging Toward A Railway Competitive Market)

  • 본 연구는 향후 철도운영경쟁체제 도입 시 철도시설사용료를 산정하기 위한 기초 방향을 제시하기 위한 목적에서 적합한 철도시설사용료 구성 체계 및 관련법의 개선사항을 제시하는데 주요 관점을 두었다. 이를 위해 철도운영경쟁체제를 이미 시작한 유럽 국가를 중심으로 사례를 분석하였다. 먼저 철도시설사용료를 정의를 위해 철도네트워크라는 공간적인 개념을 사용하였다. 여기서 사용료는 링크와 노드에서 발생된다는 관점에서 각각 선로사용료와 역사사용료로 구분하였고 그 합을 철도시설사용료라 정의하였다. 용어 정의 후 선로 및 역사사용료 부과 목적을 분석하고 각 목적을 적절히 대변할 수 있는 운영환경 특징 요소를 각 목적별로 분류하여 철도시설사용료 구성 체계를 제시하였다. 선로사용료는 6가지 목적의 합으로 그 구성 체계를 제시하였고, 역사사용료는 3가지 목적의 합으로 제시하였다. 또한 제시된 철도시설 사용료 부과 전략의 실현 가능성 차원에서 국내의 철도시설 사용료에 대한 관련 법 제도를 유럽의 관련법안과 비교 검토하여 향후 철도경쟁체제에서 필요한 법 제도 개선 사항이 무엇인지 분석하였다. 연구결과는 향후 철도경쟁체제가 시작되었을 때 어떤 방향으로 시설사용료에 대한 전략을 수립하여야 하는지에 대한 기본방향 설정에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

도시철도역 출입구 유출입 이용자 추정 모형 수립 (Establishment Model of Entrance and Exit User of Urban Railway Station)

  • 도시철도역사 이용자는 철도역 주변의 토지이용계획에 많은 영향을 받으나, 우리나라는 이와 관련된 연구는 미진한 상태로 토지이용계획에 상관없이 일률적으로 출입구 너비를 산정하여 일부 출입구에서는 대기행렬이 발생 하거나 이용자가 거의 없는 등 편차를 보인다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도시철도역 출입구별 이용수요 추정 모형을 정립하고자 하며, 이를 위해 도시철도역 20개소를 대상으로 출입구별 이용수요, 토지이용면적, 사회경제지표 등을 철도역 중심으로 200 m, 500 m로 조사하여 다중회귀모형을 정립하였다. 모형의 종속변수(반응변수)를 1일, 첨두 1시간, 첨두 시간대 5분 동안의 철도역 방향별 유출입 이용수요로 설정하고, 철도역 반경 500 m, 200 m 범위의 토지용도(주거, 상업 업무, 공업, 교육, 공원) 면적과 사회경제지표(인구, 고용자, 종사자, 학생)를 독립변수(설명변수)로 설정하였다. 그 결과 도시철도 중심 반경 500 m 내 토지용도별 이용면적을 독립변수, 철도역 1일 유출입 이용수요를 종속변수로 사용하는 것이 모형의 적합도가 통계적으로 더 유의한 것으로 분석 되었다. 본 연구는 도시철도역의 이용자 및 교통약자의 이동 편의성 개선을 위해 도시철도 출입구 적정 규모 산정을 위한 기초 연구로 추후 교통약자 이용자 수를 반영하여 출입구별 이용자 수 추정, 교통약자 편의시설 적정 규모 산정 시 활용 가능할 것으로 보인다.

  • Dong-tan Station, shared by high-speed railway and urban express railway, is a very complicated underground station having 6 tracks together with barrier and shafts between them, therefore it seems very hard to investigate the aerodynamic effects including the pressure variation and train gust in the station when a high-speed train runs through it. In this study, the aerodynamic effects on the structures and platform passengers when a high-speed train runs through an underground station have been studied using Computational Fluid Dynamics. STAR-CCM+ has been employed for numerical simulation based on Navier-Stokes equation and 2-equation turbulence model and moving mesh scheme supported by STAR-CCM+ has also been used to represent the relative motion between a train and station. Based on the simulation results, the unsteady flow fields in the underground station induced by the high-speed train have been analyzed and the pressures on the PSDs and pressure variation at the platform have quantitatively assessed.

  • 교통카드기반 도시철도네트워크에서 역사환승은 중간환승역이 아닌 출발역과 도착역의 노드에서 발생하는 환승보행이동을 의미한다. 철도네트워크에서 최적의 경로를 탐색하기 위해서는 차내통행시간 이외에 환승보행이동에 대한 페널티를 반영하는 방안이 요구된다. 그러나 기존 링크표지기반 경로탐색기법은 링크와 링크의 사이에서 나타나는 환승페널티가 인식되도록 설계되었다. 따라서 출발역과 도착역에서 나타나는 역사환승페널티를 반영하지 못하는 한계가 발생한다. 역사환승페널티를 반영하기 위해 가상링크를 도입하여 네트워크를 확장하는 방안이 있으나 링크표지기반알고리즘을 효과적으로 유지하지 못하는 단점이 발생된다. 본 연구는 역사환승페널티를 반영하기 위하여 네트워크확장없이 최적경로를 탐색하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이를 위해 단말기ID와 링크의 노선을 비교하여 노선환승페널티를 직접 적용하는 방안을 제안한다.

역내 열차 경합 검지 및 해소를 위한 수리 모형 및 해법 (An Algorithm for detection and Resolution of Train Conflicts Occurring Within Station)

  • In large station with high density traffic, trains can be hardly controlled by CTC but by station dispatcher because CTC has difficulties in monitoring all states of affairs happening within each station such as departures, arrivals of many trains from different lines and shunting of trains to move between yards and platforms, etc. Therefore the station's dispatcher has to make quick decision about how to reschedule the times and routes for all the trains scheduled within a specific time window. And such decision becomes harder when an unexpected delay occurs because a delay occurring in a train propagates other trains as time goes on. Generally, it is called the conflict detection and resolution to adjust beforehand the distorted schedule due to a delay to original schedule. Our research is different from the state of the arts in that ours determines simultaneously the routes and the times of arrival and departure of trains, although others do only the arrival and departure time of the trains without considering the alternative routes and shunting of the station. This study suggests a mathematical approach for how to detect in advance and resolve efficiently the conflicts occurring within a station and it will be shown how to reduce delay using our approach by means of analysing the schedule of ChyungRyangRi station.
