철도 인프라 BIM 디지털 모델의 전자납품 프로세스 및 기능 모듈 구성방안 연구 (A study on the Electronic Delivery Process and the Configuration Functional Modules of Railway Infrastructure BIM Digital Model)

  • Recently, Building Information Modeling(BIM) has become a hot topic in the construction industry such as quantity calculation, interference check, process management, and construction cost management. It is also trying to convert the existing 2D design to 3D design and introduce the BIM in various fields, thus, many new deliverable are being presented but there are many issues due to the lack of standard guides on the preparation and delivery criteria for such new deliverable and how to utilize performance data. Therefore, In order to develop the electronic delivery process, we analyzed the process related to the delivery of BIM digital models presented in domestic and international BIM guidelines and the delivery of products from the Korea National Railway. The analysis focused on the list of achievements, delivery process, quality review standards, and the utilization code system of the Korea National Railway through BIM guidelines and the National Railroad Service's business procedures. Based on these analysis results, it presents a plan to construct an functional module of electronic delivery.

일제강점기 도시기반시설의 설치를 통해 본 강경의 도시화 과정 (Modern Urbanization Process of Ganggyeong during the Japanese Colonial Period, focused on Installation of Urban Infrastructure)

  • Ganggyeong, a city which is located at riverside of Geum River, played a role to connect the inland cities and the coastal cities through the Geum river waterway. In Chosun dynasty, Ganggyeong was one of the three major markets in Korea, and at the same time, it was one of the two river docks in Korea. However, after the railway was installed in Korea, railroad was more important than waterway in transporting logistics and in 1911 Honam railroad and Ganggyeong railway station was installed. Thus it was necessary to reorganize urban structure of Ganggyeong city from the traditional river-dock city to modern railroad city. In addition, urban infrastructure to prevent flood damage was needed because Ganggyeong suffered from floods and water shortages every year. Therefore, between 1910s and 1930s large-scale social infrastructures including road, water and sewage system, river bank, floodgate was constructed not only to revitalize the declining city but also to prevent flood damage and water shortages that hinder urban development. The installation of urban infrastructure has enabled the urban expansion and development of Ganggyeong city, and it is still served as a basic urban structure.

국가철도안전지표 개발 방안 연구 (Development of Railway Safety Index in Korea)

  • In order to establish railway long-tenn safety policy, various railway safety indexes are required. But these indexes are not use efficiently due to the limitation of safety information. Recently m any safety related information have been obtained based on Railway Safety Act 2004. In this study, various safety index, which can be applied both preventive safety activities and safety measure development, are proposed. These safety indexes are based on common safety index in European Railway Agency, but also include special index in Korea. Proposed safety index include accident results, precursors to accident, infrastructure, accident cost and safety management system. These indexes will be applied in railway industry from 2009.

  • Railway is the most effective transportation than any other traffic. But due to the its expensive maintenance fee and various components like roadbed, rail, rollingstock, electric and signal etc, the construction cost of the railway is usually higher than highway. Such a reason, a lot of cost and period are needed to complete the railway project. In addition that considering the decreasing of the SOC budget, the investment in the railway industry is getting hard than ever. This study analyzed the cost, term of work, freight & passenger transportation demand of the wide area railway electrification project and main line improvement project. And it compared the estimation value and real value of the projects like cost and period etc. And this study surveyed the economic feasibility including factors which are not considered in the feasibility study guide. With those results, This study suggest the project management and evaluation method to enlarge the efficiency of the railway construction project.

고속선을 고려한 다중열차주행 시뮬레이터 개발 (Development of Multi-Train Traffic Simulator considering High-Speed Line)

  • Many changes in the railway environment has directly affected to the railway company. To cope immediately with the influence of environment and to promote productivity, the railway company has to introduce an efficient train operation system and related core technologies. The railway system is composed or large-scale infrastructures ann high-cost trains. Simulation method is one or core technologies and also is efficient tool for planning and analyzing this kind of complex system. The purpose of this research is to develop multi-train traffic simulator considering high-speed train for GyongBu-Line. To achieve this objective, the elements of railway system was analyzed, and as a result, a data structure modeling for the railway system such as rail-Tine infrastructure, rain, timetable and operational route is presented. The developed simulator is composed of three major part : input-module, main-module, and output module. The concept and brief explanation of each module will be treated.

남북간 화물열차 개통이후 TAR북부노선 연계.활성화를 위한 대안 연구 (A Study on Alternatives for Activating a North Corridor of the Trans Asian Railway according to The Opening of a Cross-Border Freight Railway Service between South and North Korea)

  • 2007년 12월 11일 마침내 경의선 문산-봉동(판문)간 화물열차가 개통됐다. 이는 지난 1951년 경의선 운행이 중단된 지 56년만의 역사적인 사건으로서, 남북간의 철도연결은 한반도 물류동맥이 부활된다는 것이며, 나아가 중국과 몽골, 시베리아횡단철도 등 대륙철도 물류인프라의 구축이 시작됨을 의미하는 중요한 사건이다. 이것은 또한 UNESCAP에 의해 진행중인 TAR 북부노선의 확립을 위한 계획안중의 하나로서, 본연구에서는 대륙횡단철도의 연계노선 국가인 북한, 러시아, 중국철도현황과 남북철도 개통이후 향후 개선 과제 등을 검토, 남북철도의 원활한 운행과 대륙철도망과의 조속한 연계를 추진하여 TAR북부노선을 가능한 빨리 완성하는 것이다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 대륙철도연결을 위한 북한철도의 중장기 개량방안과 중국 및 러시아의 국제철도 운송로 발전전략을 파악하고, 대륙철도 및 남북철도의 활성화를 위한 국내철도의 인프라시설 대응방안 등을 보다 구체적으로 검토하여 TAR 북부노선의 조속한 확립을 검토하고자 한다.

Development of seismic fragility curves for high-speed railway system using earthquake case histories

  • Investigating damage potential of the railway infrastructure requires either large amount of case histories or in-depth numerical analyses, or both for which large amounts of effort and time are necessary to accomplish thoroughly. Rather than performing comprehensive studies for each damage case, in this study we collect and analyze a case history of the high-speed railway system damaged by the 2004 M6.6 Niigata Chuetsu earthquake for the development of the seismic fragility curve. The development processes are: 1) slice the railway system as 200 m segments and assigned damage levels and intensity measures (IMs) to each segment; 2) calculate probability of damage for a given IM; 3) estimate fragility curves using the maximum likelihood estimation regression method. Among IMs considered for fragility curves, spectral acceleration at 3 second period has the most prediction power for the probability of damage occurrence. Also, viaduct-type structure provides less scattered probability data points resulting in the best-fitted fragility curve, but for the tunnel-type structure data are poorly scattered for which fragility curve fitted is not meaningful. For validation purpose fragility curves developed are applied to the 2016 M7.0 Kumamoto earthquake case history by which another high-speed railway system was damaged. The number of actual damaged segments by the 2016 event is 25, and the number of equivalent damaged segments predicted using fragility curve is 22.21. Both numbers are very similar indicating that the developed fragility curve fits well to the Kumamoto region. Comparing with railway fragility curves from HAZUS, we found that HAZUS fragility curves are more conservative.

  • The railway system is composed of large scale infrastructures and high-cost trains. For planning and analyzing this kind of complex system, simulation method can be used for efficient tool. In this research, we review basic simulation programming models and present a modeling for the elements of railway system such as rail-line infrastructure, train, time table and operational route. Additionally, some considerations on the development of multi-train traffic simulator for KyongBu-line are discussed.

  • In oder to develope a train system for parcel service of high speed railway, which had been proposed for the operation of a high speed train, its conceptual design was build. Through this system, we are able to expect the fulfillment of customer needs for high speed rail market segments, and enhancement for cost-effective rail network operation of the mixed traffic on infrastructure cost-reduction in national logistics.

공공시설물 지진대응을 위한 중요도 평가기준에 관한 연구 (A Study on Evaluation Criteria for Infrastructure Importance regarding Earthquake)

  • The perception of earthquake in Korea has changed due to the earthquake that occurred in Gyeongju and Pohang, and the earthquake has become an important factor in infrastructure management. Damage to infrastructures in the event of an earthquake is extensive. In particular, damage to infrastructures that perform public function used to spread to the whole area. From the point of view of earthquake disaster prevention, it is very important for the public to define what infrastructures are important management targets and to prepare a countermeasure. In this study, we propose a method to evaluate the importance of infrastructure to effectively manage infrastructures for earthquakes. For this purpose, important factors for the railway bridges, power generation and electric power facilities, and apartment complexes are suggested. AHP analysis is conducted to suggest priorities. In addition, the evaluation criteria for infrastructure importance are presented.
