  • When 60Hz AC voltage supplied to a falty insulator, Radiated EM wave has characterized time distribution with the arrived periodicity. For classifying distribution feature, receiving frequency and bandwidth of radiated wave be experimented and determined. Since the spectrum of the radiated wave has broad bandwidth and time-variable statistics, the receiving quality is determined receiving bandwidth that has above 900kHz.

  • The artificial lights to be introduced for the plant factories is requiring the artificial light resources with minimizing the energy consumption to reduce the greenhouse gases which is a major cause of global warming, and maximizing the efficiency in photosynthesis effect light-wave range, in which the plants can be greatly grown and developed, and having the signal light-wave range for forming the light types. the best growing and developing environment for the plants has recently realized with utilizing the LED(Lighting Emitting Diode) lamps, as a environment-friendly green lamps, which can elevating the light efficiency with using only the specific light wave range. In this study, to provide the necessary lights for the full artificial light type of the plant factory, the following research/study and experiments has been conducting. experiments of the spectrum for each light sources, and LED, The intensity of illumination, Irradiance, Photosynthesis Photon Flux Density.

  • The pre-emphasis is an essential process for speech signal processing. Widely used two methods are the typical method using a fixed value near unity and te optimal method using the autocorrelation ratio of the signal. This study proposes a new pre-emphasis method using the short-term energy difference of speech signal, which can effectively compensate the glottal source characteristics and lip radiation characteristics. Using the proposed pre-emphasis, speech analysis, such as spectrum estimation, formant detection, is performed and the results are compared with those of the conventional two pre-emphasis methods. The speech analysis with 5 single vowels showed that the proposed method enhanced the spectral shapes and gave nearly constant formant frequencies and could escape the overlapping of adjacent two formants. comparison with FFT spectra had verified the above results and showed the accuracy of the proposed method. The computational complexity of the proposed method reduced to about 50% of the optimal method.

  • A magnetic cataclysmic variable has a rotating magnetic white dwarf which accretes matter from its late type companion. Kim & Beuermann (1995) presented a phenomenological model of the accretion from its surrounding structure e.g., a disk into the magnetosphere of the white dwarf, and presented results for the spin modulated X-ray spectrum and light curves. Using this model, we calculate the optical continuum and line emission which result from reprocessing of X-rays in the accretion stream within the magnetosphere. Penning (1985) suggested the observed spin-modulated radial-velocity variations might result from reprocession of X-rays in the disk. We, however, find the radiation can be originated from the magnetosphere accretion stream. We use the same geometrical model to calculate the optical and the X-ray behaviour. The results from the two wavelength bands are internally consistent. We conclude that this approach will increase the diagnostic accuracies of the results.

  • Computer simulation was carried out to develop the tracer composition of a high performance to be able to be observed by not only the naked eye but also the thermal imaging system attached to the weapon system. The results of computer simulation show that the optimum Mg content among the trace compositions is about 40% and the formulation consisted of Viton A has a higher flame temperature compared with that of chloride compound. But the only use of Viton A radiates a yellow light and the composition adding a chloride compound radiates the red light. The light intensity of the tracer composition involving Viton A is higher than that of chloride compound. The tracer composition involving Viton A shows more clear images in case of all tests.

  • The interference of electromagnetic waves in factory is increasing according with development of industrial society and many use of electrical machinery. Electromagnetic wave is defined as the electrical and magnetic field formed by electrical and electronic equipment used in daily lives, which indiscriminatingly affects the human health and operation of machinery. The electromagnetic spectrum ranges from the shorter wavelengths(including gamma and x-rays) to the longer wavelengths(including microwaves and broadcast radio waves). Radiation that is not absorbed or scattered in the atmosphere can reach and affect on the operation of machine. In this study, electromagnetic wave that is interfered to the machine and human is detected in factory, and decrease method of electromagnetic wave interference is studied.

  • Numerical prediction of aerodynamic noise radiated by subsonic rotors are carried out. A computer program has been developed which incorporates both the discrete frequency noise as well as the broadband noise arising from the ingestion of turbulence. Acoustic analogy is used in conjunction with Homicz's formulation of turbulence ingestion noise. Formulation 1A of Farassat is used to enhance the numerical analysis performance of Ffowcs-Williams Hawkings equation by eliminating the numericla time differentiation. Homicz's trubulence ingestion noise prediction technique is used to understand the characteristics of broadband noise radiated by isotropic trubulence in gestion. Numerical predictions are carried out for a number of rotor configurations and compared with experimental data. Monopole consideration of transonic rotor agrees well with both the experimental data and the linear theory. Noise radiation characteristics of rotor at lifting hover are investigated utilizing simple blade loading obtained by thin wing section theory. By incorporating discrete noise prediction of steady loading with broadband spectrum, much better agreement with experimental data is obtained in the low frequency region. The contributions from different noise mechanisms can also be analyzed through this method.

  • A dosimeter using tissue-equivalent scintillator by photon-counting method was developed and evaluated in its performance. The dosimeter is portable and can be operated by low power from lap-top computer. A data-acquisition software of the dosimeter system was developed by Labwindows/CVI based on Windows. The energy to channel ratio for energy calibration was 0.839 keV/ch. obtained from pulse height spectrum of $^{137}Cs$ and $^{60}Co$ gamma-ray. Using the dosimeter system, the absorbed dose of environmental radiation in Gyungju was 0.18 ${\mu}Sv/h$.

  • Cooling hot gas sets a floor on the ionization level for diffuse gas in the ISM in general and the galactic halo. Many high galactic latitude sight lines, cooling hot gas is the dominant source of the ionization. Such sites are prime regions for the formation of both C IV and Si IV ions at a temperature of T~105K. To study of the ISM that have the 104.5~6K ionization state by ionization or photoionization by the collision, searching for the radiation energy that is emitted at far ultra violet range is required. In this paper, we report the analysis of NGP( North Galactic Pole, $l:270^{\circ},b:90^{\circ},rad:40^{\circ}$) region by fuv($1350{\sim}1750{\AA}$) data that are surveyed with FIMS. After making the FIMS FUV image of the NGP region, we divided up into 50 small regions for that and got the spectrum emission lines from each one.
