Respiration motion causes movement of internal structures in the thorax and abdomen, making accurate delivery of radiation therapy to tumors in those areas a challenge. Accounting for such motion during treatment, therefore, has the potential to reduce margins drawn around the clinical target volume (CTV), resulting in a lower dose to normal tissues (e.g., lung and liver) and thus a lower risk of treatment induced complications. Among the techniques that explicitly account for intrafraction motion are breath-hold, respiration gating, and 4D or tumor-tracking techniques. Respiration gating methods periodically turn the beam on when the patient's respiration signal is in a certain part of the respiratory cycle (generally end-inhale or end-exhale). These techniques require acquisition of some form of respiration motion signal (infrared reflective markers, spirometry, strain gauge, thermistor, video tracking of chest outlines and fluoroscopic tracking of implanted markers are some of the techniques employed to date), which is assumed to be correlated with internal anatomy motion. In preliminary study for the respiratory gating radiation therapy, we performed to measurement of this respiration motion signal. In order to measure the respiratory motion signals of patient, respiration measurement system (RMS) was composed with three sensor (spirometer, thermistor, and belt transducer), 4 channel data acquisition system and mobile computer. For two patients, we performed to evaluation of respiratory cycle and shape with RMS. We observed under this system that respiratory cycle is generally periodic but asymmetric, with the majority of time spent. As expected, RMS traced patient's respiration each other well and be easily handled for application.
Integration analysis of multi-sensor satellite images is becoming increasingly important. The first step in integration analysis is image registration between multi-sensor. SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) is a representative image registration method. However, optical image and SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) images are different from sensor attitude and radiation characteristics during acquisition, making it difficult to apply the conventional method, such as SIFT, because the radiometric characteristics between images are nonlinear. To overcome this limitation, we proposed a modified method that combines the SAR-SIFT method and shape descriptor vector DLSS(Dense Local Self-Similarity). We conducted an experiment using two pairs of Cosmo-SkyMed and KOMPSAT-2 images collected over Daejeon, Korea, an area with a high density of buildings. The proposed method extracted the correct matching points when compared to conventional methods, such as SIFT and SAR-SIFT. The method also gave quantitatively reasonable results for RMSE of 1.66m and 2.45m over the two pairs of images.

A new registration method for IR image and EO image is proposed in this paper. IR sensor is applicable to many area because it absorbs thermal radiation energy unlike EO sensor does. However, IR sensor has difficulty to extract and match features due to low contrast compared to EO image. In order to register both images, we used modified SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform) and block processing to increase feature distinctiveness. To remove outlier, we applied RANSAC(RANdom SAample Concensus) for each block. Finally, we unified matching features into single coordinate system and remove outlier again. We used 3~5um range IR image, and our experiment result showed good robustness in registration with IR image.

Piezoelectric pressure sensors and pyroelectric infrared detectors based on ZnO thin film have been integrated with GaAs metal-semiconductor field effect transistor (MESFET) amplifiers. Surface micromachining techniques have been applied in a GaAs MESFET process to form both microsensors and electronic circuits. The on-chip integration of microsensors such as pressure sensors and infrared detectors with GaAs integrated circuits is attractive because of the higher operating temperature up to 200 oC for GaAs devices compared to 125 oC for silicon devices and radiation hardness for infrared imaging applications. The microsensors incorporate a 1${\mu}$m-thick sputtered ZnO capacitor supported by a 2${\mu}$m-thick aluminum membrane formed on a semi-insulating GaAs substrate. The piezoelectric pressure sensor of an area 80${\times}$80 ${\mu}$m2 designed for use as a miniature microphone exhibits 2.99${\mu}$V/${\mu}$ bar sensitivity at 400Hz. The voltage responsivity and the detectivity of a single infrared detector of an area 80${\times}$80 $\mu\textrm{m}$2 is 700 V/W and 6${\times}$108cm$.$ Hz/W at 10Hz respectively, and the time constant of the sensor with the amplifying circuit is 53 ms. Circuits using 4${\mu}$m-gate GaAs MESFETs are fabricated in planar, direct ion-implanted process. The measured transconductance of a 4${\mu}$m-gate GaAs MESFET is 25.6 mS/mm and 12.4 mS/mm at 27 oC and 200oC, respectively. A differential amplifier whose voltage gain in 33.7 dB using 4${\mu}$m gate GaAs MESFETs is fabricated for high selectivity to the physical variable being sensed.
Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) is developing a Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite I (KOMPSAT-I) which accommodates Electro-Optical Camera (EOC), Ocean Scanning Multi-spectral Imager (OSMI), and Space Physics Sensor (SPS). The satellite has the weight of about 500kg and will be operated on the 10:50 AM sun-synchronized orbit with the altitude of 685 km. The satellite will be launched in 1999 and its lifetime is expected to be over 3 years. The main mission of EOC is the cartography to provide the images from a remote earth view for the production of 1/25000-scale maps of KOREA. EOC collects 510 ~ 730 nm panchromatic imagery with the ground sample distance(GSD) of 6.6 m and the swath width of 17 km by push broom scanning. EOC also can scan $\pm$45 degree across the ground track using body pointing method. The primary mission of OSMI is worldwide ocean color monitoring for the study of biological oceanography. It will generate 6 band ocean color images with 800 km swath width and 1km GSD by whiskbroom scanning. OSMI is designed to provide on-orbit spectral band selectability in the spectral range from 400 nm to 900 nm through ground command. This flexibility in band selection can be used for various applications and will provide research opportunities to support the next generation sensor design. SPS consists of High Energy Particle Detector (HEPD) and ionosphere Measurement Sensor (IMS). HEPD has missions to characterize the low altitude high-energy Particle environment and to study the effects of radiation environment on microelectronics. IMS measures densities and temperature of electrons in the ionosphere and monitors the ionospheric irregularities at the KOMPSAT orbit.
Sonar is the system that detects objects and finds their location in water by using the echo ranging technique. In order to have excellent performance in variable environment, acoustic characteristics of this system must be analyzed accurately. In this paper, based on the finite element analysis, modeling and analysis of acoustic characteristics of underwater acoustic sensors are preformed. Couplings between piezoelectric and elastic materials, and fluid and structure systems associated with the modeling of piezoelectric underwater acoustic sensors are formulated. In the finite element modeling of unbounded acoustic fluid, IWEE (Infinite Eave Envelop Element) is adopted to take into account the infinite domain. When an incidence wave excites the surface of Tonpilz underwater acoustic sensor, the scattered wave on the sensor is founded by satisfying the radiation condition at the artificial boundary approximately. Based on this scattering analysis, the electrical response of the underwater acoustic sensor under incidence, so called RVS (Receiving Voltage Signal) is founded accurately. This will devote to design Sonar systems accurately.

This paper presents the spectral analysis and radiation pattern of low-frequency electromagnetic(EM) leakage signals according to the fundamental operations of smartphones. The EM leakage signals generated by the activation of four I/O sensor modules such as a touch-screen, a camera, a microphone and a speaker are captured by the commercial near-field magnetic probe with 1cm spatial resolution. The analysis results show that the leakage of the EM wave occurs strongly around the activated I/O sensor modules, AP(Application Processor) and memory modules. Also, the distinguishable frequency characteristic is shown in each spectrum of EM leakage signals.

This paper presents a novel miniaturized 3-D cubic antenna for use in wireless sensor network (WSN) application. The geometry of this antenna is designed as a cube including a meander dipole antenna. A truly omnidirectional pattern is produced by this antenna in both E-plane and H-plane, which allows for non-intermittent communication that is orientation independent. The operating frequency lies in the ISM band (centered in 2.45 GHz). The dimensions of this ultra-compact cubic antenna are 1.25*1.12*1cm3 which features a length dimension λ/11. The coefficient which presents the overall antenna structure is Ka=0.44. The cubic shape of the antenna is allowing for smart packaging, as sensor equipment may be easily integrated into the cube hallow interior. The major constraint of WSN is the energy consumption. The power consumption of radio communication unit is relatively high. So it is necessary to design an antenna which improves the energy efficiency. The parameters considered in this work are the resonant frequency, return loss, efficiency, bandwidth, radiation pattern, gain and the electromagnetic field of the proposed antenna. The specificity of this geometry is that its size is relatively small with an excellent gain and efficiency compared to previously structures (reported in the literature). All results of the simulations were performed by CST Microwave Studio simulation software and validated with HFSS. We used Advanced Design System (ADS) to validate the equivalent scheme of our conception. Input here the part of summary.

Photosynthetically active radiation flux density (PPFD) and daily light integral (DLI) values related to plant photosynthesis were obtained using the sunlight time and insolation data points in the agricultural weather sensor data for Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, Korea from 2016 to 2020. The objective was to optimize the photo-environmental conditions for cultivating ginseng. The range of average monthly sunshine duration was 395.5-664.1 min, with the longest duration observed in June. The range of average annual accumulated daily insolation was 11.98-17.65 MJ·m-2. The range of average daily external DLI calculated from the insolation and solar time data was 22.3-36.1 mol·m-2·d-1, and the annual cumulative DLI was 8,156-13,175 mol·m-2·d-1. Both the insolation and DLI values were the highest in 2016 and lowest in 2020. Based on the PPFD required for ginseng growth (111-185 µmol·m-2·s-1), the monthly average daily DLI and monthly cumulative DLI were 3.51-5.87 and 82-228 mol·m-2·d-1, respectively. The range of five-year average value for the external monthly cumulative DLI was 298-1,459 mol·m-2·d-1, and the monthly cumulative DLI values when a black double shading film and blue-white shading film were applied were 101-496 and 36-175 mol·m-2·d-1, respectively. A comparative analysis of DLI values indicated that shading was required to ginseng growth throughout the year under natural light. When the black double shading film was used, shading was required from March to October. When the blue-white shading film was applied from April to August, (i.e., the period with active ginseng growth) the appropriate DLI for ginseng growth could be continuously maintained. Regional weather differences due to climate change are gradually increasing, and even in one region, monthly and cumulative DLI values are different every year. Therefore, in order to implement a precise agricultural environment for ginseng cultivation, precise analysis and continuous research using agricultural weather sensor big data is required.

Purpose : For stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) of a tumor in the region whose movement due to respiration is significant, like Lung lower lobe, the gated therapy, which delivers radiation dose to the selected respiratory phases when tumor motion is small, was performed using the Respiratory gating system and its clinical effectiveness was evaluated. Materials and Methods : For two SRS patients with a tumor in Lung lower lobe, a marker block (infrared reflector) was attached on the abdomen. While patient' respiratory cycle was monitored with Real-time Position Management (RPM, Varian, USA), 4D CT was performed (10 phases per a cycle). Phases in which tumor motion did not change rapidly were decided as treatment phases. The treatment volume was contoured on the CT images for selected treatment phases using maximum intensity projection (MIP) method. In order to verify setup reproducibility and positional variation, 4D CT was repeated. Results : Gross tumor volume (GTV) showed maximum movement in superior-inferior direction. For patient #1, motion of GTV was reduced to 2.6 mm in treatment phases ($30{\sim}60%$), while that was 9.4 mm in full phases ($0{\sim}90%$) and for patient #2, it was reduced to 2.3 mm in treatment phases ($30{\sim}70%$), while it was 11.7 mm in full phases ($0{\sim}90%$). When comparing two sets of CT images, setup errors in all the directions were within 3 mm. Conclusion : Since tumor motion was reduced less than 5 mm, the Respiratory gating system for SRS of Lung lower lobe is useful.
