유방촬영실에 근무하는 방사선사의 방사선 방어, 인식 및 태도에 관한 분석 (Analysis of Radiation Protection, Awareness and Attitude of Radiological Technologist in Mammography Room)

  • 본 연구는 유방촬영에 저에너지를 사용함으로써 방사선 피폭에 대한 인식이 저하될 것이라 사료되어 유방촬영실에 근무하는 방사선사들의 방사선 방어, 인식 및 태도에 대한 실태조사를 하였다. 자료 수집은 구조화된 설문지를 수정 보완하여 제주도를 제외한 6개 시도에 소재한 병원과 의원의 유방촬영실에 근무하는 방사선사 222명을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 독립표본 t검정과 일원배치 분산분석을 실시하였다. 결과는 남자(p<0.05), 30대 이상의 연령(p<0.05), 기혼(p<0.05), 10년 이상의 근무경력(p<0.05), 8시간의 근무시간(p<0.01), 피폭체감(p<0.05)이 적을수록 방사선 방어에 대해 중요하게 인식하였고, 남자(p<0.05)이면서 피폭체감(p<0.01)이 많을수록 방사선에 대한 인식 및 태도가 높게 나타났다. 이는 유방촬영실의 근무 특이성과 근무환경에 영향을 받는 것으로 판단되며, 추후 다른 요인과의 분석을 통해 피폭에 대한 인식과 행위를 높이는데 기초자료가 되고자 한다.

공군 인력자원의 방사선 인식도 분석 (Radiation Perception Analysis of Air Force Manpower Resources)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 공군 인력자원의 방사선에 대한 인식도를 분석하고자 하였다. 대상은 항공우주의료원에 방문한 공군 인력자원(군무원, 장교, 부사관, 병사) 남녀 259명이었다. 방법은 방사선 인식도 (위험성, 이익성, 관리성)에 대한 총 14문항의 설문지를 이용하여 조사연구로 진행 하였다. 통계적 분석은 독립표본 T-test와 일원분산분석(one-way analysis of variance, ANOVA)을 사용하여 집단 간의 유의한 차이를 확인하였다. 변수 간의 상관관계는 피어슨(Pearson) 및 스피어만(Spearman) 상관계수로 검정하였다. 그 결과, 방사선 위험성은 여성 공군 인력자원이 남성보다 유의하게 높은 인식도를 보였다. 방사선 이익성은 기혼자와 군무원, 장교, 부사관에서 유의하게 높았다. 방사선 관리성은 남자와 기혼자, 16년 이상의 군 경력자가 유의하게 높은 인식도를 가지고 있었다.

독립적인 이중 공진 모드 합성을 이용한 광대역 SDR 무전기 안테나 설계 (A Wide Band Antenna Design using the Synthesis of Independent Dual Resonance Modes for Manpack SDR(Software Defined Radio))

  • In this paper, we have proposed a wide band antenna for manpack SDR(Software Defined Radio). The proposed antenna consists of feeding post, flexible gooseneck and two radiating elements composed of a upper and lower radiators. The upper radiator has a longer electrical length than the lower radiator in order to operate in the lower frequency. Also, the resonant frequency and impedance characteristics of the antenna can be adjusted independently for two radiators. Therefore, the proposed antenna can be achieved wide impedance bandwidth by the combination of two independent resonance modes. To analyze the characteristics of the antenna in the design process is employed the equivalent circuit theory and EM(Electro-Magnetic) simulation. The measurement results show that the proposed antenna have the sufficient wide bandwidth, above -3.4dBi of the gain and fairly good radiation pattern over the wide bandwidth.

Effect of Salicylic Acid Formulations on Induced Plant Defense against Cassava Anthracnose Disease

  • This study was to investigate defense mechanisms on cassava induced by salicylic acid formulation (SA) against anthracnose disease. Our results indicated that the SA could reduce anthracnose severity in cassava plants up to 33.3% under the greenhouse condition. The 𝛽-1,3-glucanase and chitinase enzyme activities were significantly increased at 24 hours after inoculation (HAI) and decrease at 48 HAI after Colletotrichum gloeosporioides challenge inoculation, respectively, for cassava treated with SA formulation. Synchrotron radiation-based Fourier-transform infrared microspectroscopy spectra revealed changes of the C=H stretching vibration (3,000-2,800 cm-1), pectin (1,740-1,700 cm-1), amide I protein (1,700-1,600 cm-1), amide II protein (1,600-1,500 cm-1), lignin (1,515 cm-1) as well as mainly C-O-C of polysaccharides (1,300-1,100 cm-1) in the leaf epidermal and mesophyll tissues treated with SA formulations, compared to those treated with fungicide carbendazim and distilled water after the challenged inoculation with C. gloeosporioides. The results indicate that biochemical changes in cassava leaf treated with SA played an important role in the enhancement of structural and chemical defense mechanisms leading to reduced anthracnose severity.

전투원 신체 주변 통신기기의 인체 노출량 분석 (Analysis of Human Exposure for Wireless Devices Near War-Fighter)

  • 본 논문에서는 전투원이 착용할 수 있는 무선기기에 의한 인체영향 분석을 위해 인체의 다양한 위치에 송신 안테나를 위치시키고, 각 위치별로 송신기에 의한 인체영향을 분석하였다. 다양한 송신 안테나의 위치에 대해 분석하였다. 송신 안테나의 위치에 대한 시나리오는 전장에서 전투원이 통신기기를 착용할 수 있는 위치를 고려하여 국방과학연구소와 협의 하에 도출하였으며, 인체 전신 모델은 한국전자통신연구원(ETRI: Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute)의 한국인 성인 남성 표준 모델을 사용하여 송신 안테나의 위치에 따른 전자파 흡수율(SAR: Specific Absorption Rate)을 국내 및 국제비전리복사방호위원회(ICNIRP: International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection)의 인체 보호 기준과 비교하였다. 또한, 전장에서 전투원이 취할 수 있는 자세를 고려하여, 2가지 전형적인 자세에 대해서도 인체 노출량을 분석하였다.

상용파생 군용항공기의 전자기 환경 효과(E3) 시험 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Electromagnetic Environmental Effects(E3) Test and Evaluation of a Commercial Derivative Military Aircraft)

  • This paper presents guidelines for the verification test on electromagnetic environmental effects of a commercial derivative military aircraft. To prove the safety-of-flight of a renovated aircraft and appropriate working of electronic system/device, E3 test and analysis at the system level should be performed prior to its operations on real warfare. For the aircraft modified with Falcon 2000S, we concentrate on intra-system EMC, EMRADHAZ (Electromagnetic Radiation Hazards), electrical bonding, P-Static as test and lightning as analysis from a airworthiness certification point of view based on MIL-STD-464, MIL-HDBK-516. As a result, it is verified that the modified aircraft has enough electromagnetic compatibility capabilities under EME(Electromagnetic Environment). In the process, test and analysis methods considering shielding effectiveness(SE) are applied.

이중점근 근사법을 이용한 조화가진 구조물의 방사소음 예측 (Prediction of the Radiated Noise of a Structure Excited by Harmonic Force Using the Doubly Asymptotic Approximation)

  • This paper presents an approach of predicting the radiated noise due to the structural vibration by internal harmonic forces using the doubly asymptotic approximation (DAA). Acoustic transfer vector is derived from the Helmholtz integral equation and the fluid-structure interaction relation of DAA. Numerical results and analytical results of radiated noise for a cylindrical shell were compared and showed that they were consistent in most of frequencies and radiation directions, but showed errors in some radiated directions in the mid-frequency region. Despite these errors, the prediction method will be suitable for practical radiated noise prediction.

Numerical Prediction of Aviation Fuel Temperatures in Unmanned Air Vehicles

  • This paper performs numerical prediction of fuel temperature in the fuel tanks of unmanned air vehicles for both ground static non-operating and in flight transient conditions. The calculation is carried out using a modified Dufort-Frankel scheme. For this calculation, it is assumed that a non-operating vehicle on the ground is subjected to repeating daily cycles of ambient temperature with solar radiation and wind under 1%, with a 20% probability of hot day conditions. The energy conservation equation is used as the governing equation to calculate heat transfer between the fuel tank surface and the ambient environment. Results of the present analysis may be used as the estimated initial values of fuel temperatures in a vehicle's fuel tank for the purpose of analyzing transient fuel temperatures during various flight missions. This research also demonstrates that the fuel temperature of the front tank is higher than that of the rear tank, and that the difference between the two temperatures increases in the later phases of flight due to the consumption of fuel.

InSb 중적외선 검출기의 Flat-band 전압과 양자효율의 상관관계 (Relation Between Flat-band Voltage and Quantum Efficiency of InSb MWIR Detector)

  • InSb (III-V compound semiconductor) is used for photodiode to detect the mid-wavelength infrared radiation. Generally the quantum efficiency of InSb IR FPAs(Focal Plane Arrays) is known to be determined by thickness of InSb and transmittance of anti-reflection coating layer. In this study, we confirmed that the C-V characteristics of detector array affects the quantum efficiency of the InSb IR FPAs. We fabricated the IR FPAs with various $V_{fb}$(flat band voltage) values and confirmed the tendency between the $V_{fb}$ value and quantum efficiency of the IR FPAs.

Effects of Water Deficit and UV-B Radiation on Accumulation of Functional Metabolites in Crops: A Review

  • With increasing social concerns for healthy food, the studies on the cultivation of crops to increase accumulation of functional metabolites in crops have been investigated. Accumulation of the metabolites in crops is highly affected by various types of stress, such as nutrient deficiency, water deficit (WD), extreme temperature and UV-B radiation as well as their own life cycle. This review summarizes the previous studies on the effects of environmental stresses, especially WD and UV-B radiation, on accumulation of functional metabolites in crops. UV-B radiation and WD during specific period (mainly at maturation stage) activates the adaptation and/or defense system in crops, thereby increasing biosynthesis of the metabolites. Although WD and UV-B radiation tend to decrease in crop yield, the decrease can be compensated by the production of high value crops having high content of functional metabolites.
