구형 압전 변환기의 점대칭 방사모드 진동 특성 (Vibration Characteristics of the Point-symmetric Mode in a Spherical Piezoelectric Transducer)

  • 본 논문은 해석과 실험을 통하여 구형 압전 변환기의 점대칭 방사모드 진동 특성을 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 반경 방향 좌표와 시간의 함수인 반경 방향 변위와 전기 퍼텐셜로 표현되는 지배방정식을 구성한다. 역학적 경계조건과 전기적 경계조건을 적용하여 방사 진동의 특성방정식을 유도한다. 이 식을 이용하여 압전 고유진동수를 계산하고, 그 결과를 측정 결과와 비교한다. 수치계산을 통하여 압전 공진과 탄성 공진의 차이, 구형 압전체의 반경 및 두께에 따른 고유진동수 등을 고찰한다. 그 결과 1차 방사모드의 고유진동수 크기는 압전현상으로 인해 작아지며 구형의 곡률 반지름이 커짐에 따라 지수함수적으로 작아지는 것을 알게 되었다.

래디얼 스터브를 통해 구현된 이중 모드 공진기를 이용한 대역 통과 필터 (Bandpass Filter Using Dual-mode Resonator with Radial Stub)

  • 본 논문에서는 래디얼 스터브를 이용하여 이중 모드 공진기를 구현하여 이를 통하여 5.8 GHz ITS 시스템에 응용 가능한 대역 통과 필터를 제안하였다. 이중 모드 공진기를 구성하는 개방형 스터브를 래디얼 스터브로 대체함으로써 이중 모드 공진기의 크기는 약 39.6% 감소하였고 두 개의 $60^{\circ}$ 래디얼 스터브를 통해 약 $6.9{\Omega}$의 낮은 임피던스를 갖는 스터브가 구현되어 이중 모드 공진기를 이용한 필터의 저지 대역 특성이 19.4 dB에서 29.1 dB로 개선되었다. 제안된 이중 모드 공진기를 이용하여 제작된 필터는 중심 주파수 5.72 GHz에서 4.1%의 대역폭을 가졌으며, 1.79 dB와 19.4 dB의 삽입 손실과 반사 손실 특성을 나타내었다.

공기압(空氣壓)타이어의 평면진동특성(平面振動特性)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Study on the In-Plane Vibration Characteristics of the Pneumatic Tires)

  • The vibrational characteristics of a radial-ply (155SR13 4PR) and a biased-ply tire (6.15-134PR) were investigated for examining the effects of tires with different structure on the ride characteristics of the vehicle. The natural frequencies at the tread band, mode shapes, and damping factors of two tires at the state of plane vibration were determined experimentally. The test work was performed at four levels of the inflation pressure, ranging from 171.7 kPa to 245.2 kPa, and three levels of the vertical load, deviating by 10% from the standard load designated by the Department of Transportation of the United States of America. The following results were drawn by the analysis of the test results: 1. The first-order natural frequencies of the radial-ply and the biased-ply tires at the tread band were 112 Hz and 159 Hz, respectively, at the state o f the free vibration when the inflation pressure of 196.2 kPa was applied. It was known that the biased-ply tire has higher resonant frequency than the radial-ply tire and the natural frequencies of the both tires move to the high frequency range as t he inflation pressure is increased. 2. The vibration modes of both tires were quite different. No big difference in mode shapes was examined as the inflation pressure was increased. But the natural frequencies of two tires were changed. For the radial-ply tire, no difference in mode shape was found whether the vertical load was applied or not. But a significant difference in mode shape was examined for the biased-ply tire. 3. Any difference was not found in damping factor as the different inflation pressures were applied. 4. When no vertical load was applied, damping factors of the radial-ply and biased-ply tire at the state of the natural vibration ranged from 2.6 to 5.9%, and from 4.1 to 7.8%, respectively. It was estimated that the radial-ply tire would have better cushioning than the biased-ply tire since the vertical spring rate of the radial-ply tire was much less than that of the biased-ply tire, even though the damping effect of the radial-ply tire was smaller than that of the biased-ply tire.

W밴드 radial 전력 결합기용 TE10-TEM 모드 변환기 설계 (Design of TE10 to TEM mode convertor for W-band radial power combiner)

  • 본 논문에서는 W밴드 radial 전력 결합기용 TE10-TEM 모드 변환기에 대한 설계 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 구조는 일반적으로 이용 가능한 핀을 이용하여 TEM 모드를 구현하도록 하였으며 2단의 임피던스 변환부 및 back-short 구조를 이용하여 TE10 모드에서 TEM 모드로 자연스럽게 변환되도록 설게 하였다. 제안한 모드 변환기의 핀 구조가 하우징에 접합되어 진동 및 충격의 환경이 성능에 영향 없도록 하였다. 제안한 구조의 back-to-back 특성은 92.5~97.7 GHz 대역에서 삽입손실 1.55 dB 이하 및 10 dB 이상의 반사손실을 가짐을 확인하였다. 제안한 모드 변환기를 이용하여 높은 출력 및 안정적인 환경조건을 요구하는 초소형 레이다 및 다양한 응용 분야에 적용이 가능하리라 판단된다.

자유상태에서 경상용차용 타이어의 진동특성 (Vibration Characteristics of Tires for Light-duty Truck under Free Suspension)

  • Due to the rapid increase of long-distance transportation, particular attentions have been paid to truck tires, especially to their dynamic characteristics. In this research, experimental modal analysis on two kinds of light-duty truck tires, i.e., radial tire and bias tire, are performed by using GRFP(global rational fraction polynomial) method to investigate differences of the dynamic behavior of the two tires. The test results have shown that the modal frequencies of bias tire are much higher than the corresponding values of radial tire with a similar mode shape, which is in accordance with the fact that the radial rigidity of bias tire is higher than that of radial tire. And most of the modal decay rates of bias tire are larger than those of radial tire within the scope of this experiment. In the frequency domain range of test, the bias tire has extra modes, which do not occur in the radial tire. This difference is based on the fact that the circumferential rigidity of the bias tire is quire low whereas that of radial tire is so high that the frequencies of the corresponding modes are out of the frequency range of test.

  • The measurement of radial directional natural frequency ina passenger car tire rotating under the load is studied. In order to obtain theoretical matural frequency and mode shape, the ploane vibration of a tire is modeled to that of circular beam. By esing the Tieking method based on Hamiltons's principle, theoretical results are determined by considering tension horce due to tire inflation pressure, retational velocity and tangential, radial stiffness. Radial directional modal parameters varying with the inflation pressure, load, rotational velocity are experimentally determined by using frequency response function method. The results show that experimental conditions canbe considered as the parameters which shift the natural frequency.

Meshless local collocation method for natural frequencies and mode shapes of laminated composite shells

  • Meshless local collocation method produces much better conditioned matrices than meshless global collocation methods. In this paper, the meshless local collocation method based on thin plate spline radial basis function and first-order shear deformation theory are used to calculate the natural frequencies and mode shapes of laminated composite shells. Through numerical experiments, the accuracy and efficiency of present method are demonstrated.

  • Nonaxisymmetric bifurcation behaviours of composite tubes two different materials subjected to uniform radial shrinkage at the external surface have been investigated and compared with those of single tube. The effect of material parameters normalized with respect to those of outer tube upon the bifurcation point and corresponding mode has been clarified. The parameters substantially affect the bifurcation mode with long-wavelength so that the composite tube with low hardening exponent or with high yield stress of inner tube destabilizes the overall deformation of the tube. However surface type bifurcation, short-wavelength mode, shown on the traction-free inner surface is hardly affected by the material parameters. The surface type bifurcation completely depends on the material characteristics of inner tube and the bifurcation point of composite tube almost coincides with the of single tube.

  • The paper deals with a theoretical study on the radial vibration of cylindrical piezoelectric transducers. The differential equations of piezoelectric radial motion have been derived in terms of the radial displacement and electrical potential. Applying mechanical and electrical boundary conditions has yielded the characteristic equations of natural vibration. Numerical results of the fundamental natural frequency have been compared with experimental observations for the transducers of several sizes, and have shown a good agreement.

  • 연소실내 형성되는 접선방향 음향 모드의 감쇠를 위해 장착되는 공명기의 반경 방향 위치 효과에 대해 실험적으로 연구하였다. 반파장 공명기를 채택하였고, 상온에서 선형 음향 실험을 수행하였다. 감쇠 대상 음향 모드에 대해 공명기가 최적의 길이를 갖는 경우에는, 반경 방향 위치의 증가에 따라 음향 감쇠 효과가 증가하였다. 또한, 반경방향으로의 감쇠 인자의 변화 추이는 감쇠시키고자 하는 음향 모드의 진폭 변화 추이와 유사하였다. 장착 위치가 장착변의 중심에 접근할수록 음향 감쇠 효과가 감소할 뿐만 아니라 분사기 길이와의 상관성도 감소하였다. 공명기가 비최적 길이를 갖는 경우에는, 반경 방향 위치 효과가 거의 나타나지 않아 위치와 무관한 감쇠 인자값을 관찰할 수 있었다.
