Recently, there is a tendency to design the large full ships with lower-powered engine as the means for energy saving in ship's navigation at seas. Such a lower-powered ship is anticipated to show the different propulsive performance in rough seas, because the fluctuation of main engine load of lower powered ship is relatively large as compared with higher-powered ship is relatively large as compared with higher-powered ship. The fluctuation of propeller load is nonlinear at racing condition in waves. It is due to the variation of inflow velocity into propeller, the propeller immersion and the characteristics of engine governor. In this paper, the theoretical calculation of the nominal speed loss and the numerical simulation for the nonlinear load fluctuation of a model ship in rough seas are carried out. From the results of calculation, the following are discussed. (1) The ratio of nominal speed loss to the speed in still water. (2) The manoeuvring ability of ship and the operational ability of main engine in a seaway. (3) A method of the evaluation for the fluctuation of propeller torque and revolution on the engine characteristics plane. (4) The effect of engine governor characteristics on the propeller load fluctuation.

This study was performed for parentage verification of the Korean native horse (KNH). 103 random KNH samples (including 19 foals for parentage testing) were genotyped by using 16 microsatellite markers. The number of alleles per locus varied from 5 to 13 with an average value of 8.56 in the KNH. The observed heterozygosity and the expected heterozygosity ranged 0.398-0.893 (the average value was 0.683) and 0.368-0.871 (the average value was 0.727) in the KNH, respectively. The PIC value and the exclusion probability ranged 0.347-0.853 (the average value was 0.692) and 0.208-0.736, respectively, and the total exclusion probability of 16 microsatellite loci was 0.9999. Of the 16 markers, AHT4, AHT5, ASB2, ASB17, HMS2, HMS3, HTG10, LEX33, TKY321 and VHL20 loci have a relatively high PIC value (>0.7) in the KNH. Of the 19 foals, 5 foals were disqualified by an incompatibility of 4-7 markers according to a Mendelian fashion in the present DNA typing for parentage testing. These results present basic information for developing a system for parentage verification and individual identification in the KNH.

본 연구의 목적은 실감나는 운전 환경을 제공하는 공기압 구동식 드라이빙 시뮬레이터 개발에 있다. 드라이빙 시뮬레이터의 모션 플랫폼은 운전자에게 실제 차량의 사실적인 느낌을 주는 메카트로닉스 장비이다. 모션 플랫폼의 비용은 드라이빙 시뮬레이터를 개발하는데 가장 큰 부분을 차지한다. 저비용으로 모션 플랫폼을 개발하기 위하여 6개의 공압 실린더로 구성된 스튜어트 플랫폼 형태를 기반으로 모션 플랫폼을 자체 제작하였다. 스튜어트 플랫폼은 조이스틱의 작동신호에 대한 응답으로 만족할 만한 추종성능을 보여주었다. 상용의 레이싱 게임 소프트웨어 중의 하나인 rFactor를 이용하여 드라이빙 시뮬레이터의 가능성을 확인하였다.

본 논문에서는 PC 상의 가상환경과 사용자간의 몰입형 상호작용 인터페이스로서 햅틱 마우스 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 햅틱 마우스는 진동감각 및 온열감을 제공하여 몰입감을 높인다. 진동 모듈은 편심모터와 솔레노이드 액추에이터로 구성하였으며 온열감 모듈은 작은 필름형태의 온도 센서와 펠티어 효과기반의 열 펌프를 이용하여 구축한다. 본 햅틱 마우스 시스템의 효용성을 보이기 위해 레이싱 게임 어플리케이션을 제작한 후 이를 사용하여 실험을 수행한다. 실험 결과로부터 제안하는 햅틱 마우스가 가상환경에서 몰입감을 증가시키며 가상환경과 사용자간의 효과적인 인터페이스로 사용될 수 있음을 증명한다.

For centuries now, wind tunnels have been a key element in scientific research in a number of fields. Experimenting with racecars, airplanes, weather patterns, birds, and various other areas has been made much easier because of its development. In the racing field, for example, the information gathered from this testing can mean the difference between winning and losing a race. Weather simulations can also provide valuable information regarding building stability and safety. This has become very important when designing buildings today. Valuable information concerning bird flight has also been collected based on wind tunnel testing. Wind tunnels have a variety of important uses in the world today. Wind tunnel that used here is an open loop low speed wind tunnel. The fundamental principles of this tunnel is moving the air using exhaust fan In the rear side, and placing the cube in the external balance system which used to measure the working force. This experiment is using 50mm cube of finished wood. From this experiment we can get Drag Force (FD), The Reynolds Number (Re) and The Coefficient of Brae (CD).

말전염성빈혈(EIA)은 전세계의 마과동물에서 발생하는 전염병이다. 2005년부터 2011년까지 제주에서 사육되는 말을 대상으로 EIA를 조사하였다. 한국마사회 제주경마공원 동물병원에서 제주마 1,329 마리 및 한라마(제주산마) 8,324 마리 그리고 제주목장의 동물병원에서 Thoroughbred 말 387 마리 등 7년간 총 10,040마리를 효소면역측정법을 이용하여 검사하였다. 조사기간 동안 혈액에서 EIA 항체는 검출되지 않았다. 1985년 이후부터 제주에서 EIA 항체가 검출된 적이 없고, 발병 예도 없었다. 그러므로 제주에는 EIA가 없는 것으로 생각된다.

The present study was conducted to investigate the incidence of equine herpesvirus 1(EHV-1) infection in Korean horses by cell EUSA and serum neutralization test A significant level of antibodies to EHV-1 was detected from 539(82.8%) by cell EUSA and from 524 horses(80.5%) by SNT indicating that EHV-1 infection in Korean horses are widely spreaded throughout the country.

The study was carried out to investigate the pathogenicity of EHV isolate to hamsters and mice and immunogenicity of experimentally produced. vaccine were evaluated in the horses. Hamsters infected. intranasally with $LC_1$ isolate showed symptoms of nasal discharge, conjunctivitis and body weight loss during the observation period of 12 days after infection, while only slight depression and body weight loss were noticed with mice infected with $LC_1$ indicating that hamsters are more susceptible to the virus. Antibody titer of mice and hamsters were gradually increased to highest level of 1:2560~10240, 1:640~1280, respectively, at 7~12 days post vaccination. Horses immunized against $LC_1$ killed vaccine reached to maximum antibody titer of 1:20480 around 4 weeks after 1st vaccination and declined after 12 weeks post vaccination. No significant antibody increase were detected after 2nd vaccination. Mean body temperature and mean total leukocyte counts remained within normal range and no adverse reaction were noticed after vaccination.

This paper focuses on the sports look expressed in 20th century fashion. It is Age of Sport just as rock'n roll became dominant cultural form of the 1960's and 1970's . In the 1990's the sportsware is fashion. Designers gazing into the future are inspired by the details and functionality of clothing for snow boarding , skiing , motorbike racing and fitness. No doubt fashion in 2000 will also be full of references to it. Since the late 1960's the sportswear that was originally a term for clothing worn for various sports activities in the 1890's has changed and is now considered as fashion for day as well as evening. This has occurred primarily in the U.S. due to the adoption of less formal lifestyles by Americans. while the sportwear is the term which stemmed from the need for functionality in sports, sports look is the style inspired by the formative elements, that is, the details, the shilhouette, and the colors of the sportswear. New technologies for sports, the powerful influence of youthful culture, and the celebritizations of the sports stars made the sports look much hipper and more popular. It can be categoried into three aesthetic values, I. e., the functional sports look,, purism and no useless ornament, the street sports look with fun, androgynous and unisex mode and the mix and match of different texture and colors, and the futuristic sports look with new high tech fabrics and avant-garde style.

서울대공원에서 사육중인 Miniature horse 10두의 혈통정립을 목적으로 PCR에 의한 성별 판정 및 16개 microsatellite marker를 사용하여 친자감정을 실시하였다. 성별 판정에서 430 bp의 SRY band가 관찰된 7두는 숫말로 판정되었고, 친자감정에서는 멘델의 유전양식에 부합된 3두가 친자관계가 확인되었다. 향후 Miniature horse의 혈통보존 및 관리에 유용한 자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.
