Total 99 strains of Campylobacter spp. were isolated from 117 cases of duck's fecal samples. Among 99 strains of Campylobacter spp. isolates, 93 strains (93.9%) were C. jejuni and 6 strains (6.1%) were C. coli. Prevalence of virulence and GBS associated genes of 72 C. jejuni isolates was determined by m-PCR. Among the 10 kinds of virulence associated genes, cadF, dnaJ, flaA and ceuE genes were detected in all of C. jejuni isolates from ducks, racR, pldA, iamA, ciaB, virB11 and docC genes were 87.5%, 84.7%, 77.8%, 48.6%, 13.9% and 11.1%, respectively. Antimicrobial susceptibility test was performed on 72 C. jejuni isolates. The rate of resistance were 62.5% for oxytetracycline, 55.6% for kanamycin, 54.2% for enrofloxacin, 50% for ciprofloxacin, 37.5% for tetracycline and nalidixic acid, 18.1% for ampicillin, 15.3% for streptomycin, and 6.9% for ofloxacin. All isolates were susceptible to erythromycin. The adherence (intracellular and extracellular bacteria) abilities of the 20 isolates to INT-407 cells were between $4.21{\pm}1.27{\times}10^4$ CFU/well and $1.053{\pm}0.451{\times}10^6$ CFU/well from the isolates of cj-55 and cj-52, respectively, and that can be expressed as 0.1033% to 5.2655% to the infecting inoculum. The invasion (intracellular bacteria) abilities of the 20 isolates to INT-407 were between $1.00{\pm}1.73{\times}10^3$ CFU/well and $8.47{\pm}5.16{\times}10^4$ CFU/well from the isolates of cj-13 and cj-47, respectively, and that can be expressed as 0.0050% to 0.4235% to the infecting inoculums. The average CFU/well of 20 campylobacters isolated from ducks for adherence to and invasion were $2.646{\pm}2.886{\times}10^5$ and $3.03{\pm}2.7{\times}10^4$ respectively, and that was $1.3230{\pm}1.2139%$ and $0.1516{\pm}0.1343%$ of the starting viable inoculum. There was considerable correlation ($R^2$=0.627) between the adherence and invasion ability of C. jejuni isolates for INT-407 cell.
Participates in actin remodeling through Rac and receptor endocytosis via Rab5. Here, we used yeast two-hybrid system with Eps8 as bait to screen a human brain cDNA library. ITSN2 was identified as the novel binding factor of Eps8. The interaction between ITSN2 and Eps8 was demonstrated by the in vivo co-immunoprecipitation and colocalization assays and the in vitro GST pull-down assays. Furthermore, we mapped the interaction domains to the region between amino acids 260-306 of Eps8 and the coiled-coil domain of ITSN2. In addition, protein stability assays and immunofluorescence analysis showed ITSN2 overexpression induced the degradation of Eps8 proteins, which was markedly alleviated with the lysosome inhibitor NH4Cl treatment. Taken together, our results suggested ITSN2 interacts with Eps8 and stimulates the degradation of Eps8 proteins.
Using 20 L spherical explosion vessel and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), an experimental investigation was carried on explosion characteristics and thermal decomposition of some reactive organic dust. As the result, the minimum explosion concentration of Benzoyl peroxide (BPO), Phthalic anhydride (PA) and 1-Hydroxybenzotriazol (HBT) exist between 10 and 15 g/$m^3$, which indicates that their explosion sensitivity are high. The maximum Kst values of HBT, PA and 97 % BPO are 251, 146 and 80 [$bar{\cdot}m/s$], respectively and the explosion severity of HBT is the explosion class of St-2. The flame velocity was also calculated from the combustion time of dust and flame arrival time to estimate the flame propagation characteristics in a closed vessel. The decomposition temperature and heat of decomposition reaction for 97 % BPO and HBT are $107^{\circ}C$ (1025 J/g), $214^{\circ}C$ (1666 J/g), respectively and it was found that these low decomposition temperature and high released heat affect the explosion characteristics.
We investigated experimentally the properties of dust explosion through lycopodium particle clouds in a duct to provide the fundamental knowledge. Propagating dust flames in the vertical duct of 120 cm height and 12 cm square cross-section were observed by digital video camera and flame front is visualized using by PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) system. As the result, when the same average dust concentration existed in the vertical duct, downward flame propagation was faster than the upward flame propagation, its rate increased with dust concentration in 300g/$m^3$. Post flames were caused by the ignition of unburned particles which flowed into the rear region of flame from passage between flame and duct wall, and they generated regardless of duct condition. Also, it was found that appearance frequency of post flames during dust flame propagations increased with the increase of dust concentration.
To realize the recycling utilization of waste concrete and alleviate the shortage of resources, 11 specimens of steel reinforced recycled concrete (SRRC) filled circular steel tube columns were designed and manufactured in this study, and the cyclic loading tests on the specimens of columns were also carried out respectively. The hysteretic curves, skeleton curves and performance indicators of columns were obtained and analysed in detail. Besides, the finite element model of columns was established through OpenSees software, which considered the adverse effect of recycled coarse aggregate (RA) replacement rates and the constraint effect of circular steel tube on internal RAC. The numerical calculation curves of columns are in good agreement with the experimental curves, which shows that the numerical model is relatively reasonable. On this basis, a series of nonlinear parameters analysis on the hysteretic behaviors of columns were also investigated. The results are as follows: When the replacement rates of RA increases from 0 to 100%, the peak loads of columns decreases by 7.78% and the ductility decreases slightly. With the increase of axial compression ratio, the bearing capacity of columns increases first and then decreases, but the ductility of columns decreases rapidly. Increasing the wall thickness of circular steel tube is very profitable to improve the bearing capacity and ductility of columns. When the section steel ratio increases from 5.54% to 9.99%, although the bearing capacity of columns is improved, it has no obvious contribution to improve the ductility of columns. With the decrease of shear span ratio, the bearing capacity of columns increases obviously, but the ductility decreases, and the failure mode of columns develops into brittle shear failure. Therefore, in the engineering design of columns, the situation of small shear span ratio (i.e., short columns) should be avoided as far as possible. Based on this, the calculation model on the skeleton curves of columns was established by the theoretical analysis and fitting method, so as to determine the main characteristic points in the model. The effectiveness of skeleton curve model is verified by comparing with the test skeleton curves.
This study was conducted to investigate the soil mulching effect on bolting and growth of Angelica koreana Max. The bolting ratio were 8.4% of non-mulching, 11.4% of black polyethylene film, 13.6% of transparent polyethylene film, 6.4% of rice-straw mulching. The mulching of polyethylene film induced higher bolting response than other materials. The radical leaf length, the number of leaf and crown in black P.E. film mulched were all higher than those of non-mulching and rice-straw mulching. The yield of the underground part of P.E film mulching was higher than non-mulching and rice-straw mulching. Comparing with other treatments, the dry root yield of black P.E. film mulching showed the most.
This study was carried out to obtain the basic data for an artificial cultivation of Phellinus sp.. The optimum conditions for the mycelial growth on the different sawdusts (Quercus aliena, Morns alba and Alnus japonica) substrate of an isolated Phellinus sp. were optimized by response surface methodology. The ratio of rice bran addition to sawdust and the suitable moisture content for the mycelial growth in the all sawdust media were about 30% (w/w) and $65{\sim}70%$ (w/v), respectively. The initial pHs for the mycelial growth of Quercus aliena and Morns alba were in the range of $pH\;5{\sim}6$, whereas Alnus japonica was obtained at pH 6. The optimum temperature for the mycelial growth was about $25{\sim}30^{\circ}C$, depending on the different kinds of wood substrates. From the response surface analysis, the values of independent variables of Quercus aliena at stationary points were determined to be 31.01 % (w/w) of rice bran, pH of 5.31 and 69.03% (w/v) of moisture content, and the expected value of mycelial growth was about 8.32 cm. Both the ratio of rice bran addition to sawdust $(X_1)$ and moisture content $(X_3)$ were effective to the mycelial growth. In the case of Morns alba, the ratio of rice bran addition to sawdust, initial pH and moisture content at the stationary points were 28.77% (w/w), 5.28 and 69.8 (w/v),respectively, and the expected mycelial growth of 7.60 cm was obtained. Stationary points for the mycelial growth in the sawdust media of Alnus japonica were 28.74% (w/w) of rice bran, pH of 6. 04 and 66.96% (w/v) of moisture content, and the expected values of mycelial growth was about 5.38 cm. Based on the above results, there was correlations between the mycelial growth and independent variables, and the effect of rice bran $(X_1)$ and initial pH $(X_2)$ for the mycelial growth were higher than the moisture content $(X_3)$. The optimum species of sawdust media for the my celial growth of Phellinus sp. was in the order of Quercus aliena > Morns alba > Alnus japonica.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of environmental conditions and the quality and yield of melon fruit by heat fan operation in greenhouses at winter season. The average daily temperature inside the tunnels during January 1 to 31, 2017 was $0.9^{\circ}C$ higher than that of the control $17.8^{\circ}C$. The air flow rate of heater fan treatment was 4.8 times higher than the control (untreated $0.05m{\cdot}s^{-1}$) at 20cm above the ground where the korean melon grew. The temperature of the heater pan was $5.6^{\circ}C$ higher than that of the untreated at $35.3^{\circ}C$ and the relative humidity was 8.1% lower than that of the untreated at 39.1%. The flowering rate of the heater fan treatment was 96%, 5% higher than the control. The number of first harvest days of heater fan treatment was shortened by 4 days than that of untreated treatment. Fruit quality and marketable fruit yield increased by 3.4% and 38% compared to untreated respectively, the heater fan treatment increased the temperature inside the greenhouse and air flow rete, which were beneficial for growing the korean melon in greenhouses at winter season.
In 2006 fall, a preliminary survey of viruses in two important medicinal plants, Cynanchum wilfordii and C. auriculatum, was conducted on the experimental fields at the Agricultural Research and Extension Services of Chungbuk province in Korea. On each experimental fields, percentage of virus infection was ranged from 20 to 80%, and especially an average of disease incidence propagated by roots was twice higher than that by seeds. The various symptoms were observed in Cynanchum spp. plants, such as mosaic, mottle, necrosis, yellowing, chlorotic spot and malformation etc. In electron microscopic examination of crude sap extracts, filamentous rod particles with 390-730 nm were observed in most samples. The virus particles were purified from the leaves of C. wilfordii with typical mosaic symptom, and the viral RNA was extracted from this sample containing 430-845 nm long filamentous rod. To identify the viruses, reverse transcription followed by PCR with random primers was carried out. The putative sequences of P3 and coat protein of potyvirus were obtained. From a BLAST of the two sequences, they showed 26-38% and 62-72% identities to potyviruses, respectively. In SDS-PAGE analysis, the subunit of coat protein was approximately 30.3 kDa, close to the coat protein of potyvirus. In bioassay with 21 species in 7 families, Chenopodium quinoa showed local lesion on inoculated leave and chlorotic spot on upper leave, but the others were not infected. RT-PCR detection using specific primer of C. wilfordii and C. auriculatum samples, all of 24 samples with virus symptom was positive, and five out of seven samples without virus symptom were also positive. On the basis of these data, the virus could be considered as a new member of potyvirus. We suggested that the name of the virus was Keunjorong mosaic virus (KjMV) after the common Korean name of C. wilfordii.

Development of T. urticae was studied on the leaves of eggplant grown in hydroponics with potash contents of 0 mM, 2 mM, 6 mM, and 12 mM. As the levels of potash increased, that of nitrogen decreased and that of P, K, Mg increased in the plant. While contents of crude protein and fiber decreased, those of ash and sugar increased. Carbohydrate content was the highest at 2 mM. Water contents increased as those of potash increased with the exception at 0 mM. Biomass was the heaviest as 552.7 g at 6 mM and the lightest at 0 mM. Leaf thickness and the content of chlorophyll increased as the content of potash increased. Laboratory leaf disc tests provided with various potash levels revealed that feeding and oviposition preferences of T. urticae were high at 6 mM and 12 mM, respectively. Ratio of damaged leaf by naturally occurring T. urticae on eggplants of 99 days post-transplant in the greenhouse was the highest at 6 mM. Development of immature stages of T. urticae shortened as the levels of potash increased with a less tendancy in male than in female. No differences were detected in adult longevity and oviposition period but the number of eggs laid was the most as 84.7 at 6 mM and the least as 40.6 at 0 mM. There were no differences in the rate of egg hatch and the ratio of sex. $R_o,\;r_m,\;and\;{\lambda}$ were the highest at 6 mM and the lowest at 0 mM. T and Dt were the lowest at 6 mM and the highest at 0 mM. There was a descending trand of T. urticae developmet when levels of potash either gets high or low in the hydroponics.
