A Preliminary Study of Attentional Blink of Rapid Serial Visual Presentation in Burn Patients with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (화상 환자에서 신속 순차 시각 제시를 이용한 주의깜빡임에 관한 예비연구)

  • Objectives : Trauma patients have attentional bias which enforces traumatic memories and causes cognitive errors. Understanding of such selective attention may explain many aspects of the posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD) symptoms. Methods : We used the rapid serial visual presentation(RSVP) method to verify attentional blink in burn patients with PTSD. International affective picture system(IAPS) was used as stimuli and distracters. In the 'neutral test', patients have been presented series of pictures with human face picture as target stimuli. Each picture had 100ms interval. However the distance between target facial pictures was randomized and recognition of second facial picture accuracy was measured. In the 'stress test', the first target was stress picture which arouses patient emotions instead of the facial picture. Neutral and Stress tests were done with seven PTSD patients and 20 controls. In '85ms test' the interval was reduced to 85ms. The accuracy of recognition of second target facial picture was rated in all three tests. Eighty-five ms study was done with eighteen PTSD patients. Results : Attentional blinks were observed in 100-400ms of RSVP. PTSD patients showed increased recognition rate in the 'stress test' compared with the 'neutral test'. When presentation interval was decreased to 85 ms, PTSD patient showed decrease of attentional blink effect when target facial picture interval was 170ms. Conclusion : We found attentional blink effect could be affected by stress stimulus in burn patients. And attentional blink may be affected by stimulus interval and the character of stimulus. There may be some other specific mechanism related with selective attention in attentional blink especially with facial picture processing.

  • Conventional caching system doesn't support Real-Time attributes and load balance. To solve these problems, this paper describes the design and implementation of the RIOP(Real-Time Inter-ORB Protocol) to provide QoS guarantees mechanism integrating RSVP and TAO ORB. Futhermore, it provides fast XCSLS(Extended Caching System for Load Balance) implementing main memory cache in Primary Server using locality of objects. In this paper, a key feature is presented : QoS enforcement, PS(Primary Server) and RS(Replicated Server)

  • 현재 화상 또는 음성 회의와 같은 네트워크에 기반한 응용들의 증가와 함께 멀티캐스트 서비스의 중요성이 한층 증가되었다. Xcast는 멀티캐스트 서비스를 제공하기 새롭게 제안된 방법이고, XMIF는 MIPv4와 MIPv6 환경에서 Xcast를 이용해서 멀티캐스트 서비스를 제공하기 위한 방법이다. 하지만 XMIFv4에서는 MIP가 가지는 Triangle Routing 문제를 그대로 가지고 있고 이동 중 심각한 패킷 손실이 발생 할 수 있다. 또한 QoS를 제공하기 위해 RSVP와 같은 프로토콜을 함께 사용할 때 확장성이 용이하지 않다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 MIPv4 환경에서 XMIPv4가 가지는 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 XMIPRO를 제안한다.

  • In Integrated Services Internet the Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) provides a signaling mechanism for end to end QoS. In this paper, we propose a novel scheme using a Hierarchical Mobile Agents Tree (HMAT) based on the definition of new option called QoS Object Option (QOO) in order to improve the efficiency during handoff in Integrated Services Internet. Mobile agents are required to manage QOO, resource reservation and other mobility related basks un behalf of mobile hosts. This scheme is based on Mobile IPv6.

  • 인터넷의 발달 및 VoIP의 보급으로 인해 VoIP 서비스의 품질에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그 동안은 망사업자 관점에서 망의 품질을 개선하기 위한 MPLS, Diffserv, RSVP 등의 연구가 진행되어 왔으나, 실제로 서비스 품질은 망뿐만 아니라 단말 등의 품질에도 영향을 받기 때문에 망 사업자의 관점에서 보는 서비스 품질 기준이 아닌, 고객의 관점에서 인식 가능한 수준에서의 종단간 서비스 품질을 다룰 필요가 있다. 본 고에서는 서비스 품질이란 무엇인지 살펴보고, 국제표준단체의 서비스 품질 관련 연구 및 VoIP 서비스를 위한 음성 품질 평가 기술에 대하여 살펴본다.

  • In this paper, we propose more effective method of label allocation on Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) which is IP over ATM integrated model. We research the problems, one is using downstream label allocation method case, the other is using both downstream and upstream label allocation method. Easily we can solve this problem through the downstream-on-demand label allocation method with RSVP(Resource ReSerVation Protocol). In experiment we can find 1.5~28% error which will be fixed by using downstream-on-demand label allocation method.

CPU Temperature on Traffic Processing between Two Servers

  • The purpose of this paper is to identify the CPU temperatures on traffic processing between two servers system. To test this model, this research applies multi-generator and resource reservation protocol that produce various types of traffics. The empirical results indicate that $56^{\circ}C\mp9^{\circ}C$ of CPU temperature is suitable when 250-300 traffics with 10-15kb per a packet are supplied. And also, no jitter delay time is showed in these cases.

  • This paper focuses on the consideration of not only QoS parameters in wired network, but also QoS parameters in wireless network that supported for the Efficient QoS in the Al1 Service Levels. So, We supposed the "Efficient QoS Model" that guaranteed the QoS parameters "Loss Profile" , "Service Degradation" , "Latency and Jittering" , "Mobility of Mobile User" , "Probability of seamless communication" in wired-wireless networks. And the Method of Efficient QoS support that we supposed consists of "Multicast Routing-RSVP Protocol architecture based on Mobile IP" and "Protocols internetworking model ".
