Retort Pouch 쌀밥의 포장(包裝) 진공도(眞空度)가 제품(製品)의 식미특성(食味特性)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effect of Vacuum Levels on the Palatability Characteristics of Rice Packed in Retort Pouch)

  • Retort pouch포장 쌀밥의 포장내(包裝內) 진공도(眞空度)가 제품(製品)의 식미특성(食味特性)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 조사하기 위하여 밀양 23호 쌀로 전기밥솥에서 취반한 보통밥과 진공도 30 cm Hg (RP-30)와 75 cm Hg(RP-75)로 retort pouch 포장한 쌀밥에 대하여 관능검사를 실시하고 이 결과에 따라 각 처리구에 대한 식미특성 (외관, 향기, 맛, 찰기, 경도, 식미의 종합평가)의 평균평점에 대하여 통계적인 방법으로 유의성 검정을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 처리간의 외관은 F값이 $47.28^{**}$로써 고도의 유의차가 있었고 종합적 식미, 찰기, 맛에 있어서도 고도의 유의차가 있었다. 경도 및 향기도 유의차가 있어서 retort pouch내의 진공도가 쌀밥 제품의 식미특성에 상당한 영향을 미침을 보여 주었다. 2. Duncan의 다중비교검정법(多重比較檢定法)으로 retort pouch 쌀밥의 포장 진공조가 식미특성에 미치는 영향에 대한 유의성 검정 결과 외관, 향기, 맛 및 식미의 종합평가에 있어서 보통밥과 RP-30간에는 유의차가 없었으나 이들과 RP-75의 retort pouch포장 쌀밥과는5% 수준에서 모두 유의차가 있었다. 찰기는 3처리 상호간 모두 유의차가 있었고 retort pouch내의 진공도가 높을수록 찰기가 높았다. RP-30 쌀밥과 RP-75의 쌀밥의 경도에 있어서 유의차가 있었다. 3. Retort pouch 쌀밥의 식미특성 상호간의 단순상관을 조사한 결과 식미의 종합평가와는 맛 ( $r=0.793^{**}$), 향기($r=0.640^{**}$), 외관($r=0.576^{**}$) 및 경도($r=0.562^{**}$)의 순으로 상관성을 나타내었다.

Application of Rapid Prototyping Technique and Intraoperative Navigation System for the Repair and Reconstruction of Orbital Wall Fractures

  • Background: Restoring the orbital cavity in large blow out fractures is a challenge for surgeons due to the anatomical complexity. This study evaluated the clinical outcomes and orbital volume after orbital wall fracture repair using a rapid prototyping (RP) technique and intraoperative navigation system. Methods: This prospective study was conducted on the medical records and radiology records of 12 patients who had undergone a unilateral blow out fracture reconstruction using a RP technique and an intraoperative navigation system from November 2014 to March 2015. The surgical results were assessed by an ophthalmic examination and a comparison of the preoperative and postoperative orbital volume ratio (OVR) values. Results: All patients had a successful treatment outcome without complications. Volumetric analysis revealed a significant decrease in the mean OVR from $1.0952{\pm}0.0662$ (ranging from 0.9917 to 1.2509) preoperatively to $0.9942{\pm}0.0427$ (ranging from 0.9394 to 1.0680) postoperatively. Conclusion: The application of a RP technique for the repair of orbital wall fractures is a useful tool that may help improve the clinical outcomes by understanding the individual anatomy, determining the operability, and restoring the orbital cavity volume through optimal implant positioning along with an intraoperative navigation system.

보강판의 좌굴 평가식에 따른 좌굴 강도 및 최적설계의 비교 (Comparison of Buckling Check Formulas and Optimal Design)

  • In ship design or offshore structure design, the evaluation of buckling strength (or ultimate strength) is critical to the determination of scantling of stiffened plates. For this reason, it is useful to study the effect of applying different formula or the relationship between stiffened plate with buckling utilization factor (UF). It can facilitate a designer to decide how much the scantling should be reinforced or how much can be reduced for an optimal design. This paper conducts a comparative study for three buckling check methods; DNV-Ship-Rule, DNV-RP-C201, DNV-PULS. The capacity curves and 2D contour plot for utilization factors versus bi-axial in-plane stresses are compared. The contour plots of DNV-Ship-Rule and DNV-PULS show smoothly increasing trends of UF as the applied in-plane stresses increase, however that of DNV-RP-C201 shows rapidly increasing trend as the applied stresses go beyond transverse buckling stress. A sensitivity analysis is performed to investigate the influence level of each parameter of a stiffened plate on UF. Resulting from the analysis, plate thickness is identified to be the most affective parameter to UF regardless of the buckling check methods. Based on the addressed study, optimal designs for bottom plate of 165 K tanker corresponding to three formulas are compared with each other. DNV-PULS yields 1 mm and 2 mm less thickness than DNV-Ship-Rule and DNV-RP-C201, respectively.

벼 엽록체 DNA의 이질성 (Heterogeneity of Chloroplast DNA in Rice)

  • Plant chloroplast DNA exists as an unique circular structure in which large single copy(LSC) region and small single copy (SSC) region are separated by large inverted repeat sequences (IRS). It has been known that the unique existence of inverted repeat sequences in chloroplast DNA has no relation with the stability of the chloroplast DNA, but causes the inversion between inverted repeat its biological significance has not been understood so far. In rice, several gene clusters have been cloned and sequenced which contain ribulose-5-biophosphate car-boxylase large subunit (rbcL). Especially, one rbcL gene is linked with rp12 gene which is located in the IRS region in one of the gene clusters. By comparison of nucleotide sequence, the two genes are found to be linked through 151 bp repeat sequence which is homologous to the rp123 gene in IRS region. The repeat sequence is found to be located 3' downstream of rfcL gene and near psbA gene in LSC region. The existence of these repeat sequences and the presence of gene clusters caused by the gene rearrangement thorough the repeat sequence provide a possible which is found to be dispersed chloroplast DNA provide the model system to explaine the heterogeneity of the chloroplast DNA in rice in term of gene rearrangement.

정적 플랭크 운동의 동작 별 효과성 차이 검증 -근전도 분석을 중심으로- (Verification of the Difference in Effectiveness of Static Plank Exercise by Motion -Focusing on EMG Analysis-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정적 플랭크 운동의 동작 차이에 따른 코어근육의 근활성도를 비교하는 것이었다. 본 연구의 대상자는 "J"대학교 20대 남성 10명을 대상으로 진행하였고(연령, 23.20±0.65 세; 신장, 174.54±1.51 cm; 체중, 70.00±2.24 kg; 신체질량지수, 22.94±0.51 kg/m2), 4가지의 풀, 엘보우, 사이드 및 리버스 정적 플랭크 동작을 수행하였으며, 근전도 분석을 위한 표면전극 부착 부위는 신체 근육의 우측복직근, 외복사근, 광배근 및 척추기립근으로 설정하였다. 본 실험 결과, 광배근과 척추기립근의 근활성도는 리버스 플랭크 동작 시 가장 높게 나타났고(p<.001), 복직근과 외복사근의 근활성도는 엘보우 플랭크 동작 시 가장 높게 나타났다(p<.001). 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 추후 정적 플랭크 동작 시 효과적인 운동 프로그램의 자료가 될 것으로 기대된다.

허용응력설계법 및 하중저항계수설계법에 의한 고정식 해양구조물 설계결과 비교 (Design comparison of Fixed Offshore Structures Designed by WSD and LRFD Methods )

  • 고정식 자켓구조물 설계 시 국내 설계법의 부재로 해외 설계기준을 적용하고 있다. 특히, 미국의 API기준을 주로 적용하고 있으나 API RP 2A는 허용응력설계법(WSD)과 하중저항계수법(LRFD)의 두 설계법을 제시하고 있고 설계자의 판단에 따라 적용하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 연안에 실제 설치된 고정식 해양구조물에 대해 해양구조물 전용프로그램인 SACS를 이용하여 두 설계법에 대한 응력비를 검토비교 하였다. 검토결과, 환경하중의 영향이 큰 극한하중해석과 운송해석 시에는 LRFD설계법이, 자중의 영향이 큰 평상시 하중해석과 선적 및 인양 시에는 WSD설계법이 더 큰 응력비를 보여주고 있어 기본설계 시 두 설계법에 대한 적용성 검토를 수행한 후 안전성과 경제성 등을 고려하여 최종 설계법을 선택하는 것이 적정하다고 판단된다.

API 2W Gr.50 강재를 이용한 해양구조물 Tendon Porch의 피로성능 평가 (Assessment of Fatigue Strength Characteristics of Tendon Porch in Offshore Platforms for API 2W Gr. 50 Steel)

  • This assessment is concerned with the fatigue strength of the tendon porch found in TLP. Lorge-scale fatigue tests with models constructed at 30% the size of the real structures have been carried out to investigate the fatigue behavior of the API 2W Grade 50 steel recently produced by POSCO. The fatigue life for the present test models was obtained based on the concept of nominal stress. A comparison of the present test results with those obtained by a numerical approach based on the structural analysis results has showngood agreement. The present results were also compared with the design curves in DnV RP-C203.

Study on the Specificity Alteration of Mammalian UV Endonuclease III

  • A mammalian DNA repair enzyme, UV endonuclease III which also functions as a ribosomal protein S3 (rpS3), was purified from mouse cells and characterized. UV endonuclease III was previously cloned and known to yield a peptide of 32 kDa upon expression in E. coli [Kim et al., (1995) J. Bioi. Chem. 270, 13620-13629]. However, biochemically purified UV endonuclease III, which has a sedimentation coefficient of 3.25, appears to have an additional peptide of 28 kDa. It appears that two bands were derived from one complex, judging from the comparison of the nuclease activity on the native and SDS-gel electrophoreses. UV endonuclease III becomes non-specific upon purification and this phenomenon is more significant in the case of pure fractions of the enzyme. Non-specific activity was not influenced by pH or any salt conditions.

p-Coumaroylamino Acids from Yeast-Elicited Ephedra distachya Cultures

  • Three p-coumaroylamino acids (p-CAAs) were isolated from the yeast-elicited Ephedra distachya cultures by consecutive purification using XAD_2, silicagel and RP-HPLC. Retention times on HPLC as well as their UV, IR, NMR and MS spectral data indicated that the yeast-induced p-CAAs wre p-coumaroyl--D-valine, p-coumaroyl-D-serine and p-coumarouyl-D-threonine, respectively. The structures of p-CAAs were confirmed by the comparison of their physico-chemical properties 3with those of synthetic ones. They were isolated and identified for the first time from natural products and supposed to be accumulated as phytoalexins of Ephedra.

여정실의 항산화 활성 (Antioxidant Activity of Fruits of Ligustrum japonicum)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the antioxidant activity of the fruits of Ligustrum japonicum. The crude extract was successively fractionated into n-hexane, 85% aqueous methanol (85% aq.MeOH), n-butanol (n-BuOH), and water fractions by means of solvent polarity. The crude extract and its solvent fractions were evaluated for their antioxidant effect by four different assay systems: scavenging power on peroxynitrite and intralcellular ROS produced in HT-1080 cells; DNA oxidation inhibition; ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP). The n-BuOH fraction exhibiting potent antioxidant activity was further purified by C18 silica gel column chromatography and RP-HPLC to give tyrosol (1) and salidroside (2). The structure of isolated compounds was determined by extensive 2 D NMR experiments such as $^1H$ COSY, NOESY, HSQC and HMBC as well as by comparison with the published spectral data.
