  • This paper presents an incentive system to reduce response time from a supplier. The incentive system is expressed as a contract between an assembler and a supplier who have a long-term relationship. We produce the optimal payment scheme and expected total cost, when the assembler is farsighted. We show that the farsighted assembler obtains higher effort level from the supplier than the myopic assembler. We also show that the expected total cost of the farsighted assembler is smaller in the long run, although it is initially higher than that of the myopic assembler.

  • New type slider with optical components is coming on market for portable and high capacity drive, and it shows great potential in future high performance drive. It is very important that a slider should have a good dynamic behavior. In this paper the dynamic behavior and static characteristics of slider have been investigated numerically by in-house simulation code using FEM.

  • The present paper describes 3 clinical cases in which the orthodontic treatment was effected by the Bioprogressive therapy following the extraction of the upper and lower first premolars. What is most noteworthy in the present treatment is the use of a systems approach to diagnosis and treatment by the application of the visual treatment objective in planning treatment, evaluating anchorage and monitoring results, and the rest being performed routinely by the Bioprogressive mechanism. The result achieved by this method is very favorable and the efficiency of the Bioprogressive therapy is quite satisfactory.
