  • This paper proposes an auto flesh tone balance algorithm for the picture that is taken for people. General white balance algorithms bring neutral region into focus. But, other objects can be basis if its spectral reflectance is known. In this paper the basis for white balance is human face. For experiment, first, transfer characteristic of image sensor is analyzed and camera output RGB on average face chromaticity under standard illumination is calculated. Second, Output rate for the image is adjusted to make RGB rate for the face photo area taken under unknown illumination RGB rate that is already calculated. Input tri-stimulus XYZ can be calculated from camera output RGB by camera transfer matrix. And input tri-stimulus XYZ is transformed to standard color space (sRGB) using sRGB transfer matrix. For display, RGB data is encoded as eight-bit data after gamma correction. Algorithm is applied to average face color that is light skin color of Macbeth color chart and average color of various face colors that are actually measured.

  • This paper proposes an image system that can efficiently measure the spectral reflectance of a scene using RGB cameras and LED light sources. Multispectral imaging system is composed of LED controllers, LED clusters and RGB cameras. It captures full-spectral images at real-time. The system adopts a simple, empirical linear model to estimate the full spectral reflectance at each pixel. Since the model is linear, the reconstruction is efficient and stable. We estimated the spectral reflectance of various scenes using the system and showed the effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • Spectral reflectance of the object should be measured to predict the color of object under various illuminants. The spectral reflectance can be represented in a multi-dimension space. Generally the information of inputed image by digital camera and color scanner is represented with 3-dimension color signals such as RGB. In other to predict the color of inputed image under any illuminant, we should be estimated spectral reflectance of the object. In this paper, we described the method to predict spectral reflectance by einenvector using the skin color of printed image, confirmed availability and propriety through experiment. we estimated spectral reflectance of skin color taken by RGB color signals and than reproduced skin color according to various illuminants on CRT.

  • Interpolation based information hiding methods are widely used to get information security. Conventional interpolation methods use the neighboring pixel value and simple calculation like average to embed secret bit stream into the image. But these information hiding methods are not appropriate to color images like military images because the characteristics of military images are not considered and these methods are restricted in grayscale images. In this paper, the new information hiding method based on interpolation using RGB pixel values of color image is proposed and the effectiveness is analyzed through experiments.

  • This paper propose a contents security technique for digital holographic display service. Digital holographic video system assumes the existing service frame for 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional video, which includes data acquisition, processing, transmission, reception, and reconstruction. In this paper, we perform the encryption of RGB image and depth-map for such a system. The experimental results showed that encrypting only 0.048% of the entire data was enough to hide the constants of the RGB image and depth-map.

  • In this paper, we propose an image segmentation method preserving object's boundaries by using the number of quantized colors and merging regions using adaptive threshold values. First of all, the proposed method quantizes an original image by a vector quantization and the number of quantized colors is determined differently using PSNR each image. We obtain initial regions from the quantized image, merge initial regions in CIE Lab color space and RGB color space step by step and segment the image into semantic regions. In each merging step, we use color distance between adjacent regions as similarity-measure. Threshold values for region-merging are determined adaptively according to the global mean of the color difference between the original image and its split-regions and the mean of those variations. Also, if the segmented image of RGB color space doesn't split into semantic objects, we merge the image again in the CIE Lab color space as post-processing. Whether the post-processing is done is determined by using the color distance between initial regions of the image and the segmented image of RGB color space. Experiment results show that the proposed method splits an original image into main objects and boundaries of the segmented image are preserved. Also, the proposed method provides better results for objective measure than the conventional method.

  • This paper proposes an approach to the fusion of two heterogeneous sensors with two different fields-of-view (FOV): LIDAR and an RGB camera. Registration between data captured by LIDAR and an RGB camera provided the fusion results. Registration was completed once a depthmap corresponding to a 2-dimensional RGB image was generated. For this fusion, RPLIDAR-A3 (manufactured by Slamtec) and a general digital camera were used to acquire depth and image data, respectively. LIDAR sensor provided distance information between the sensor and objects in a scene nearby the sensor, and an RGB camera provided a 2-dimensional image with color information. Fusion of 2D image and depth information enabled us to achieve better performance with applications of object detection and tracking. For instance, automatic driver assistance systems, robotics or other systems that require visual information processing might find the work in this paper useful. Since the LIDAR only provides depth value, processing and generation of a depthmap that corresponds to an RGB image is recommended. To validate the proposed approach, experimental results are provided.

  • It is possible to improve the obstacle avoidance capability by training and recognizing the obstacles which is in certain indoor environment. We propose the technique that use underlying intensity value along with intensity map from RGB-D image which is derived from stereo vision Kinect sensor and recognize an obstacle within constant distance. We test and experiment the accuracy and execution time of the pattern recognition algorithms like PCA, ICA, LDA, SVM to show the recognition possibility of it. From the comparison experiment between RGB-D data and intensity data, RGB-D data got 4.2% better accuracy rate than intensity data but intensity data got 29% and 31% faster than RGB-D in terms of training time and intensity data got 70% and 33% faster than RGB-D in terms of testing time for LDA and SVM, respectively. So, LDA, SVM have good accuracy and better training/testing time to use for obstacle avoidance based on intensity dataset of mobile robot.

  • In this paper, we propose a method of generating color sketch images using the DIP operator. In the proposed method, an input RGB color image is first transformed into an HSV color image. A sketch image of the V component image is then extracted by applying the DIP operator to the V component image, which is the brightness component of the input image. For the visual convenience, the extracted sketch image of the V component image is next inverted and contrast-stretched. The S component image is also enhanced to deepen the color of output sketch image while maintaining its color. Finally, the V and S component images along with the original H component image are transformed into an output RGB color sketch image. Experimental results show that the proposed method yields output color sketch images similar to hand-drawn sketch pictures whose colors are the same as those of input color images.

  • This is to present the information and direction about color scheme image and adjective image in designing web page, by analysing the color image of our country's National University library's web page which is being operated now. The analysis method is to find the RGB of objective site through color emotion standard and to abstract the color chip. It is divided by color scheme image and adjective image. The scope of research is 41 National University libraries registered in National University Libraries Association. The result is that white and grey color of background and colors like light blue and green are main. In case of adjective image, nimble image and clear image was many. next is orderly bellowing image. and elegant image.
