  • Construction works have become larger and more complex, improving productivity by introducing Information Technology (IT) is pursued. In this circumstance, many different kinds of project management system is being introduced, and various IT technologies are applied such as Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), Bar Code, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Web Camera, and so on. However, these kinds of technologies might cause reprocessing of information and ineffectiveness of project because of lack of real time information processing technology or separation between construction sites and management offices. Therefore, this research aims to develop Application that can be applied efficiently for construction material management, by understanding problems of former management system with questionnaires and extracting functions with analysis of requirements. This will be possible to input information automatically, to process and check material information in real time, and to identify the location of necessary material. Then, the problem of separation between construction sites and management offices are solved, and as a result, more efficient management of materials in construction sites will become possible.

  • This study examined current status and futurity of libraries based on the survey of librarians awareness in the era of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution and sought to find effective response strategies for future changes. For this purpose, this study reviewed research issues against the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution based on preceding researches in our library area and other fields. The awareness survey was conducted of librarians of several types including national libraries and public libraries. The results are as follows: First, librarians were interested in the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution, but they thought that new technologies are poorly adopted in their libraries. Second, librarians were most frequently using Desktop PCs, mobile phones, RFID tags, and QR codes for library services. Third, librarians were required intelligent-information services because of their effectiveness, but their libraries did not provide them for users. Fourth, librarians expected that the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution brings positive influences to libraries' future. On the other hands, they also concerned about their job losses. Fifth, librarians agreed with necessity of new technologies of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution and they especially wanted educations and training related with technologies. Also, technical supports for online services and simply repeated works are required.

  • In this paper, we study an optimum design of search synchronization structure for Baseband Modem to support ISO/IEC 18185-5 and 24730-2 Standard. For DSSS Modem, we design the code acquisition and tracking structure which are important in receiver operation, and examine the parameters to be considered. The data and PN chip transmission rates and processing gain of the proposed modem are 59.7 kbps, 30.521875 Mcps, and 27 dB, respectively. This indicates that the noise immunity of the proposed modem is 17dB better than IEEE 802.11b (Processing gain : 10dB). Therefore, we design the optimum structure for the modem search synchronization which is compatible to the proposed modem standard.

  • In this paper, we propose ubiquitous tree management system based on GIS and smart-phone using the object-oriented design modeling to maximize the efficiency of tree management. For this, proposed system is implemented in the form of client/server (C/S). The spot tree management system as the client is based on the mobile(PDA, Smart-Phone), whereas the tree management system based on PC as the server makes use of GIS. Also, Web service method instead of CDMA used in exist studies is used for tree data communication among C/S. And problems of existing studies, that is excessive maintenance costs, accessibility shortage of variety users, connectivity shortage of geographic information system will be settled through the convergence of the proposed system development methods, GIS system, smart devices. Therefore, we verify proposed system by using the systemic unit test and qualitative assessment respectively and prove to be more excellent than the existing system based on the mobile, in terms of systemic effectiveness and extendability.

  • Currently, systems for finding missing children are composed of using communication between a QR code and RFID chip, as the use of a smartphone. However, the current systems for finding missing children have limitations in that children can only be found if there are people in the surrounding area; there is an economic burden on parents required to purchase a smartphone for their children; along with difficulties in finding the missing children without the assistance of those in the surrounding area in critical situations such as a kidnapping, due to the limited duration of the battery life. In order to solve such problems, approaches need to be made from two perspectives: having someone in the surrounding area; and absence of anyone in the surrounding area. This thesis is centered on the development of a IoT (Internet of Things) system for finding missing children that combines two methods, namely, the method of finding missing children without a guardian in the surrounding area -within the limited space in which AP is installed by using a beacon and open source hardware being highlighted as the IoT technology - and the method of finding missing children with the smartphone application in which each individual becomes the Access Point (AP). The Main purpose is to provide accurate information of missing children's location for the 2situations and it is found that the accuracy of smartphones APP is 97.7% and security device AP is 91.1%.
