Phase transformation of $REBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (RE=Nd, Gd, Dy) Superconductor during Continuous Cooling and Isothermal Heat Treatment (등온열처리와 냉각에 따른 $REBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (RE=Nd, Gd, Dy) 초전도체의 상변화)

  • The phase transformation of $REBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (RE=Nd, Gd, Dy) was investigated using isothermal heat-treatment and continuous cooling in air. During continuous cooling, the $REBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (RE=123) superconducting phase with well-distributed $REBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (RE-211) was obtainde at a cooling rate of $0.001^{\circ}C$/s. Single phase RE-123 (Nd, Gd, Dy) was stable at $1050^{\circ}C$, $1050^{\circ}C$, and $950^{\circ}C$ during isothermal heat-treatment, respectively. Above these temperatures the RE-211 phase existed within the RE-123 grains. The RE-123, RE-211, $BaCu_2Od_2$, and CuO phases coexisted at $50^{\circ}C$ below the partial melting temperature for each respective rare-earth RE-123.

  • The chemical bond parameters of Y-123, Eu-123, Pr-123 and Gd-123 compounds have calculated using the chemical bond theory of complex crystals. Their hardness have been predicted by the chemical bond definition of hardness. The calculated results indicate that the Ba-O and RE-O types of bond have a lower covalent character and the Cu-O types of bond have greater covalency. The hardness values increase as the unit cell volume of the rare earth superconductor structures decrease.

  • This study investigated the effects of different kinds of seed crystals with miscut angles and pretreatment on the characteristics of a RE-123 superconductor processed by a top-seeded melt-growth (TSMG) method. When the seed crystal was heat-treated in an oxygen atmosphere, the surface structure was cleaned removing hydroxide. When the seed crystal had a miscut angle, in addition, the surface structure showed a well defined hill-and-valley structure after heat-treatment. A better microstructure, with a well-distributed small RE-123 phase, was obtained using a high miscut angle after heat-treatment in an oxygen atmosphere. As a result of the microstructure improvement, the magnetic characteristics also improved. The experimental result can be explained by reduction of nucleation activation energy.

  • This study investigated the phase transformation of the $REBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (RE=Nd, Gd, By) superconductor, and CCT (Continuous-Cooling-Transformation) along with the TTT (Time-Temperature-Transformation) diagrams are suggested according to the isothermal and continuous cooling heat-treatments. According to result of fabricated single crystal of RE-123 superconductor through TSMG method based on phase transformation neted among heat treatment process, when the ionic radius elements was decreased, RE-211 phase was well-distributed. According to result that examine about seed of pretreatment effect of TSMG method, magnetic hysteresis improved when preprocess among oxygen atmosphere in same seed. and used after. Effect of miscut expressed good superconducting special quality in case miscut uses big seed.

  • This study investigated the phase transformation of the REBa$_2$Cu$_3$$O_{7-x}$ (RE=Nd, Gd, Dy) superconductor, and CCT (Continuous-Cooling-Transformation) along with the TTT (Time-Temperature-Transformation) diagrams are suggested according to the isothermal and continuous cooling heat-treatments. The peritectic temperature of the 123 phases decreased approximately 3$0^{\circ}C$ when the ionic radius of the rare-earth elements was reduced. The optimum cooling rate where BC and Cu-free phases do not exist was 0.001$^{\circ}C$/s. At this cooling late, the 123 phase grew with a c-axis Perpendicular to the surface and had a well-distributed 211 phase. When the oxygen partial pressure was reduced Outing isothermal heat-treatment, the formation temperature of the 211 phase decreased. In addition, the formation temperature of the 123 phases decreased from 100$0^{\circ}C$ (Nd-123) to 9$25^{\circ}C$ (Gd-123), and finally 875$^{\circ}C$ (Dy-123) according to the decrease in the ionic radius of the tare-earth elements. Compared to Nd-123, Gd- and Dy-123 had a better texture with a well-distributed 211 phase.e.

  • From the viewpoint of high field application, the mechanical and critical current properties of recently developed $REBa_2Cu_3O_y$ (RE123, RE: rare-earth) coated conductors are summarized. In addition, effective flux pinning mechanisms in RE123 are also introduced. As one of the examples for high field application, the upgrading of the 18 T cryogen-free superconducting magnet is shown. The large anisotropy of $J_c$ is a problem at low temperature and high magnetic field. The nanorod is considered as the useful methods to improve the anisotropy of $J_c$, although its efficiency becomes small at low temperature.

  • As deep learning has become an essential part of human lives, the requirement for Deep Learning as a Service (DLaaS) is growing. Since using remote cloud servers induces privacy concerns for users, a Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) arises to protect users' sensitive data from a malicious attack in the cloud environment. However, the FHE cannot support several computations, including the most popular activation function, Rectified Linear Unit (ReLU). This paper analyzes several polynomial approximation methods for ReLU to utilize FHE in DLaaS.
