A Study on Root Canal Index of the Maxillary Central Incisorsin Korean Female (한국인 여성 상악중절치의 근관면적비에 관한 연구)

  • The author had selected the roots and root-canal as measurable parts and sought the area ratio by measuring the respective areas of the root. Further, heplotted out a root caual index and studied the correlation with age. The teeth used as reserch material were permanent maxillary central incisors of Korean female. Some 296 teeth of known age were selected on condition that there is no caries or filling material and that they were not malformed in showing normal signs in roentgenograms. The $3" {\times} 4"$ printing paper so as to measure easily. On the ocassion of measureing the area of measured parts with a planimeter (Koizumi, type kp-27, Japan), the cervical lines were joined up into a straight line on a photograph (Figure 1) Root canal index = Area of the root / Area of the root canal The results of the root canal index in Korean female age groups were as follows : 1. The root canal index of maxilary central incisor in women was 4.74 im 20 years of age, 5.44 in 30, 5.90 in 40, 6.32 in 50, 6.63 in 60 in the order. 2. Root canal index and age were in positive correlation ; there was a tendency that the root canal index increase as age advances. 3. The regression equation was as follows : Y = 5.36x + 7.71 (r = 0.54, n= 296 ) (Y = estimated age, x = root canal index)

An Attempt for Establishing Indention on Drawing up Card Catalogue. (Card 목록작성에 있어서 기선(Indention) 설정을 위한 시도)

  • The historical development of books examination with utilizing science become inevitable to the machanization of library catalogues. With the advance of times, like this, a new- development of $Indention('||'&'||'$ : Kisun) must be sought for which is a kind of descriptive catalogues being used now. This paper is scheduled to grasp problems in the course of using and logical grounds of Indention which hal-e been used disordering. It must be considered that four kinds of Icdention settlement is suitable to the features of Korean letters. 1) TI-e must consider the features of Korean Language and Oriental Language writing(Japan, China). There must be a establishment of floating $Indention('||'&'||'E$ : Kisun), which are suitable for the writting style or hand writting man on the point of most of Koreans are depend upon hand witting, then books catalogues like western language, not left edge of the cards of the $Indention(B$ : Kisun) establishing, from edge to Call Number, from the last of the Call Number to First Indention(%-Bl63). First Indention(%-%%) to a space of Second $indention($\ulcorner^%)$ must be established and then, every catalogue and Indentions are distinguished surely. 2) \Then we consider the developing catalogue making in the future. It is important to establish a fixed $Indention('||'&'||'$ : Kisun) for machinization of typewriter(Korean, Mimeographing) and computer, etc ... not "Cm" unit but "Space" unit, and consider oriental letter, ne make more surplus space as a Indention, we can give anadaptablity of using machines. 3) Considering typography printing and type-setting printing by printing type, we must fit the $Indention(\ulcorner'||'&'||'$ : Kisun) as a "Cm" unit, and there must be a re-adjustment of $Indention(g$$ : Kisun) which considered the complexity of Call Number by a mass of collecting books like this, the establishment of Indention(E'||'&'||'j!: Kisun). We must not use a uilified one as a concrete conception by "Space" or "Cm" unit which has been used now but re-adjusted adaptably which can be fited as a method of making of catalogues. 4) The name of $Indcntion(J, S$ : Kisun) has becll called 7;arious methods until now, but English Indention which has been used without any concrete mexirig must be used as a ours fitable as a our mind. The above mentioned is presented as a Indention and examinational l~letilods by myself style, I wants these r i l l be helpful to the future developments of the machanization of Indention $(sf:$ Ki sun). Concrete studies must be continued in the future for development of $Indention(zj:$ : Kisun). : Kisun).

Humidity Characteristics of $SnO_2/TiO_2$ Thick Film Devices ($SnO_2/TiO_2$후막소자의 감습특성)

  • The $SnO_2/TiO_2$ thick film type humidity sensing devices containing 5 to 50 wt% $TiO_2$ have been fabricated by a typical screen printing technique. The surface crystal structure and microstructure were investigated by XRD, SEM and FTIR analyses. And the measurement of sensing characteristics of the thick film devices have been carried out. The crystalline phase of the thick flus were mainly identified as $(SnO_2){\cdot}6T$ crystal structure with XRD analysis, and the thick films sintered at $1300^{\circ}C$ showed an average particle size of $2.0{\mu}m$. The $SnO_2/TiO_2$ device sintered at $1300^{\circ}C$ containing 10 wt% $TiO_2$ showed high sensitivity to humidity in the range of R.H. 20-90%.

Effects of Particle Size on Properties of PZT -Based Thick Films (입자 크기가 PZT계 압전 후막의 물성에 미치는 영향)

  • Pb(Ni$\_$1/3/Nb$\_$2/3/)O$_3$-PbZrO$_3$-PbTiO$_3$ thick films were screen-printed on platinized alumina substrates and fired at 800-1000$^{\circ}C$. Two kinds of powders with different particle size were prepared by attrition and ball milling methods. Effects of particle size of starting material on the microstructure and electrical properties of the thick films were investigated. Average particle size of attrition milled-powder (0.44 ${\mu}$m) was much smaller than that of ball milled-powder (2.87 ${\mu}$m). Average grain size of the thick film prepared from attrition-milled powder was smaller than that of the thick film prepared from ball-milled powder at the sintering temperature of 800$^{\circ}C$. However, the difference in average particle size became smaller with increasing the sintering temperature. Thick films prepared from attrition-milled powders showed more uniform and denser microstructures at all firing temperatures. Thick films prepared from attrition-milled powders had better electrical properties at the firing temperature above 900$^{\circ}C$ than thick films prepared from ball-milled powders. Dielectric constant, remanent polarization and coercive field of the thick film prepared from attrition-milled powders and fired at 900$^{\circ}C$ were 559, 16.3 ${\mu}$C/cm$^2$, and 51.3 kV/cm, respectively.

염류 용액에서의 액체 플라즈마 방전과 히드록실라디칼에 관한 연구

  • 최근 액체 플라즈마에 대한 주된 이슈는 방전에 의해 발생하는 히드록실라디칼(OH-)과 버블이다. 액체 플라즈마를 이용한 다양한 응용분야에서는 히드록실라디칼에 주목하고 있다. 액체 플라즈마는 그래핀 파생물의 용액 친화도 향상을 위해 이용될 수 있다. 흑연이 포함된 과산화수소(H2O2) 용액에서 전기적인 방전으로 만들어진 히드록실라디칼로 그래핀 파생물의 용액 친화도를 향상시킨다. 이는 잠재적인 프린팅(printing) 기술 발전에 기대된다. 그리고 이 라디칼은 폐수에서 발암성의 트라이클로로아세트산(CCl3COOH)을 탈 염소하고 분해하는 역할을 하여 액체 플라즈마가 새로운 수처리 기술로 부상되고 있다. 또한 인체에서는 살균 작용을 하는 것 뿐만 아니라 단백질 고리를 끊는 역할을 하여 전립선 수술과 같은 인체수술에 적용될 수 있다. 최근 액체 플라즈마를 이용한 돼지 각막 임상수술에서 레이저와 필적할 정도로 매우 정밀하게 수술된 연구결과가 발표되어 인체 각막수술 적용에 기대된다. 이처럼 액체 플라즈마를 이용한 대부분의 응용분야에서 히드록실라디칼의 역할이 중요하다. 액체 플라즈마의 또 다른 이슈인 버블은 2가지의 역할을 한다. 첫 번째로 방전소스의 역할이다. 액체 속에 담긴 얇은 전극에 전압을 인가하면 전극 주변에서 강한 전기장의 발생으로 줄열(joule heating)에 의해 버블이 생성된다. 전극에서 버블이 생성되었을 때, 서로 다른 유전율을 가진 두 물질로 나누어진다. (버블 안은 공기로 상대 유전율 ${\varepsilon}r{\fallingdotseq}=1$, 용액은 ${\varepsilon}r{\fallingdotseq}=80$이다.) 시스템에 인가된 전압이 항복 전압(breakdown voltage)을 넘어서면 유전율이 상대적으로 낮은 버블내부에 강한 전기장이 걸리게 되어 방전이 일어난다. 만약 버블이 존재하지 않는다면 방전을 위해서 매우 높은 전압이 필요하다. 따라서 버블은 플라즈마 방전의 소스역할을 한다. 두번째로 버블은 전극의 부식을 방지하는 역할을 한다. 전극 부식은 주로 전기분해로 인한 산화반응에 의해 발생하는데 버블을 전극에 오래 머무르게 하면 부식을 방지할 수 있다. 이처럼 액체 플라즈마 시스템에서 버블의 역할들은 상당히 중요하다. 일반적으로 버블은 시스템에 인가하는 전원, 전극 극성 그리고 전압크기에 따라 거동이 달라진다. 시스템에 AC파워를 인가하면 버블은 주파수가 높을수록 전극에서 떨어지는 속도가 빨라지는 특성을 보인다. 핀 전극 극성이 음극일 때는 양극일 때보다 버블이 더 잘 생성된다. 또한 인가전압크기에 따라 거동이 달라지며 시스템에 같은 전압을 인가하여도 크기가 항상 같지 않고, 거동도 일관성을 보이지 않은 랜덤적인 모습을 보인다. 본 연구에서는 이 랜덤적인 버블의 거동을 정리하고 응용분야에서 중요하게 여기는 히드록실라디칼 생성에 대해 공부하기 위해 염류 용액(saline solution)에 핀(pin)-면(plane) 전극 구조를 설치하여 10Hz 주파수(1% duty cycle)를 가진 0-600V 구형펄스로 실험하였다. 실험을 통한 결과로서 랜덤적인 버블의 거동을 전극에서 버블이 떨어지는 속도와 플라즈마 특성에 따라 슈팅모드(shooting mode)와 유지모드(keeping mode) 2가지 모드로 분류하였다. 슈팅모드에서는 버블이 핀 전극에서 성장하지 못하고 빠른 속도로 떨어지는 모드로 플라즈마 방전이 잘 이루어지지 않는다. 반면 유지모드에서는 버블이 핀 전극에서 떨어지지 않고 지속적으로 성장한다. 이 모드에서는 펄스 시간 동안 하나의 버블로 연속적인 방전이 가능하다. 방전이 일어날 때 발생하는 히드록실라디칼의 생성은 버블 내부의 쉬스와 관련이 있다. 이 라디칼을 만들기 위해서는 높은 에너지가 요구되기 때문에 버블 내부의 쉬스(sheath)에서 만들어진다. 펄스 동안 쉬스는 주로 핀 전극 주변에서 유지되며 히드록실라디칼은 이곳에서 주로 만들어진다. 따라서 버블과 함께 쉬스도 성장하는 버블유지모드에서 슈팅모드보다 히드록실라디칼이 더 많이 생성된다.

  • 태양광 시장은 세계적인 금융 위기 속에서도 점점 그 규모가 확대되고 있다. 시장의 규모가 확대되고 있음에도 불구하고 금융 위기를 겪으면서 생산자 중심의 시장에서 수요자 중심의 시장으로 바뀌게 되었다. 이에 따라 더 적은 비용으로 높은 출력의 제품만이 경쟁력을 가지게 됨으로써 효율이 더욱 이슈화되었다. 여러 태양전지 중 가장 점유율이 높은 결정질 태양전지는 일반적인 양산 공정만으로 효율을 높이는데 한계가 있으므로 selective emitter, back contact, light induced plating 등의 새로운 공정을 도입하여 효율을 높이려는 경향이 나타나고 있다. 본 연구에서는, ALD 장치를 사용하여 결정질 태양전지의 후면을 passivation 함으로써 효율을 높이는 방법을 모색하였다. 부동화 층으로는 $Al_2O_3$를 사용하였으며 셀을 제조하여 평가하였다. 실험방법은 p-type의 웨이퍼를 이용하여 습식으로 texturing 후 $POCl_3$ 용액으로 p-n junction을 형성하였고 anti-reflection 막인 SiNx는 PECVD를 사용하여 R.I 2.05, 80nm 두께로 증착하였다. 그런 다음 후면의 n+ layer를 제거하기 위하여 SiNx에 영향을 미치지 않는 용액을 사용하여 후면을 식각하였다. BSF 층은 screen printer로 Al paste를 printing하여 형성하였고 Al etching용액으로 여분의 Al제거한 후 ALD 장치를 이용하여 $Al_2O_3$를 증착하였다. 마지막으로 전극을 형성한 후 laser로 isolation하여 효율을 평가하였다.

Optimization of Soldering Process of Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu and Sn-1.0Ag-0.7Cu-1.6Bi-0.2In Alloys for Solar Combiner Junction Box Module (태양광 접속함 정션박스 모듈 적용을 위한 Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu 및 Sn-1.0Ag-0.7Cu-1.6Bi-0.2In 솔더링의 공정최적화)

  • The soldering property of Pb-containing solder(Sn-Pb) and Pb-free solders(Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu and Sn-1.0Ag-0.7Cu-1.6Bi-0.2In) for solar combiner box module was compared. The solar combiner box module was composed of voltage and current detecting modules, diode modules, and other modules. In this study, solder paste printability, printing shape inspection, solder joint property, X-ray inspection, and shear force measurements were conducted. For optimization of Pb-free soldering process, step 1 and 2 were divided. In the step 1 process, the printability of Pb-containing and Pb-free solder alloys were estimated by using printing inspector. Then, the relationship between void percentages and shear force has been estimated. Overall, the property of Pb-containing solder was better than two Pb-free solders. In the step 2 process, the property of reflow soldering for the Pb-free solders was evaluated with different reflow peak temperatures. As the peak temperature of the reflow process gradually increased, the void percentage decreased by 2 to 4%, but the shear force did not significantly depend on the reflow peak temperature by a deviation of about 0.5 kgf. Among different surface finishes on PCB, ENIG surface finish was better than OSP and Pb-free solder surface finishes in terms of shear force. In the thermal shock reliability test of the solar combiner box module with a Pb-free solder and OSP surface finish, the change rate of electrical property of the module was almost unchanged within a 0.3% range and the module had a relatively good electrical property after 500 thermal shock cycles.

  • In this research, $5\times5cm^2$ unit cells were fabricated via liquid condensation process and uniaxial pressing followed by the screen printing of electrolyte and cathode layer. The SOFC stack was assembled with unit cells, gasket-type sealant and metal interconnect. The stack was designed to have a single column with internal-manifold and cross-flow type gas-channels. The SOFC stack produced 15 W, which is $50\%$ of the maximum power being expected from the maximum power density of the unit cell. Controlling factors for the proper operation of the SOFC stack and other designing factors of stack manifold and gas channels were discussed.

Development of electrochemical biosensor for determination of galactose (4갈락토오즈 측정을 위한 전기화학적 바이오센서 개발)

  • In principle, the blood galactose level may be determined conveniently with a strip-type biosensor similar to that for glucose. In this study, we describe the development of a disposable galactose biosensor strip for point-of-care testing. The sensor strip is constructed with screen-printed carbon paste electrode (SPCE) and sample amount (< $100{\mu}L$). The developed strip the galactose level in less than 90 s using bienzymatic system of galactose oxidase (GAO) and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). The effects of pH, mediator (1,1-ferrocenedimethanol) concentration, ratio of enzymes, and applied potential were determined preliminarily with glassy carbon electrodes, and optimized further with the strip-type electrodes. The sensor exhibits linear response in the range of $0{\sim}400{\mu}M$ ($r^2$ = 0.997, S/N = 3). Since a low working potential, in principle, the fabricated disposable galactose biosensor has -100 mV (vs. Ag/AgCl), it is applied for the detection of galactose, interfering responses from common interferents such as ascorbic acid, uric acid and acetaminophen could be minimized. The sensor has been used to determine the total galactose level in standard samples with satisfactory reproducibility (CV = 5 %).

Assessment of Wear Comfort and the Development of One-piece Dresses with Persimmon Juice Dye-printed Fabrics (감즙염색 날염 소재 원피스 개발과 인체착용실험에 의한 생리반응 및 착용감 평가)

  • Persimmon juice dye-printed fabrics with printing were used for a Galot one-piece dress. The Galot dress was assessed in comparison to a white undyed one-piece dress of the same design through a wearing test conducted in a climatic chamber with an air temperature of $30{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, $50{\pm}5%$ R.H, and 0.2m/sec air movement on 4 healthy female subjects in their 20s. The subjects went through a 30-min stable period, a 30-min exercise of walking on a $5^{\circ}$ slope treadmill at 70m/min period, and a 20-min recovery period. In addition, a physiological reaction and subjective sensation were estimated. The results showed that significant differences were mostly observed from a sweating period that occurred during the latter half of the exercise. More specific results are as follows. First, skin temperature on the chest and mean skin temperature were significantly higher (p<.01) in rayon dyed sample dresses. Second, micro-humidity on the back showed a significant difference (p<.01). Both cotton and rayon persimmon juice dyed sample dresses produced lower microhumidity than their counterparts and as for cotton the difference occurred over the entire experimental period; however, it occurred after the middle of the exercise period for rayon. Third, the sweating rate on the back decreased in both cotton and rayon with persimmon juice dye but no significant difference was observed. Fourth, subjective three sensations revealed significant differences between cotton and rayon (p<.01), indicating that the subjects felt more cool, dryer and more comfortable in a cotton Galot. As described above, the analysis of physiological responses and the subjective sensation of undyed and dyed clothing shows the effect of persimmon juice dyeing. Persimmon juice dyeing also seemly increased air permeability, moisture regain and permeability facilitating body heat ventilation, as micro-humidity and sweat rate were lowered. However, this was not shown consistently in subjective responses on comfort especially when wearing rayon dresses.
