Identification of novel potential drugs and miRNAs biomarkers in lung cancer based on gene co-expression network analysis

  • Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is an important cause of cancer-associated deaths worldwide. Therefore, the exact molecular mechanisms of NSCLC are unidentified. The present investigation aims to identify the miRNAs with predictive value in NSCLC. The two datasets were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Differentially expressed miRNAs (DEmiRNA) and mRNAs (DEmRNA) were selected from the normalized data. Next, miRNA-mRNA interactions were determined. Then, co-expression network analysis was completed using the WGCNA package in R software. The co-expression network between DEmiRNAs and DEmRNAs was calculated to prioritize the miRNAs. Next, the enrichment analysis was performed for DEmiRNA and DEmRNA. Finally, the drug-gene interaction network was constructed by importing the gene list to dgidb database. A total of 3,033 differentially expressed genes and 58 DEmiRNA were recognized from two datasets. The co-expression network analysis was utilized to build a gene co- expression network. Next, four modules were selected based on the Zsummary score. In the next step, a bipartite miRNA-gene network was constructed and hub miRNAs (let-7a-2-3p, let-7d-5p, let-7b-5p, let-7a-5p, and let-7b-3p) were selected. Finally, a drug-gene network was constructed while SUNITINIB, MEDROXYPROGESTERONE ACETATE, DOFETILIDE, HALOPERIDOL, and CALCITRIOL drugs were recognized as a beneficial drug in NSCLC. The hub miRNAs and repurposed drugs may act a vital role in NSCLC progression and treatment, respectively; however, these results must validate in further clinical and experimental assessments.

  • 산업 인공지능의 발달과 함께 반도체의 수요가 크게 증가하고 있다. 시장 수요에 대응하기 위해 패키징 공정에서 자동 결함 검출의 중요성 역시 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라, 패키지의 자동 불량 검사를 위한 딥러닝 기반의 방법론들의 연구가 활발히 이루어 지고 있다. 딥러닝 기반의 모델은 학습을 위해서 대량의 고해상도 데이터를 필요로 하나, 보안이 중요한 반도체 분야의 특성상 관련 데이터의 공유 및 레이블링이 쉽지 않아 모델의 학습이 어려운 한계를 지니고 있다. 또한 고해상도 이미지를 생성하기 위해 상당한 컴퓨팅 자원이 요구되는데, 본 연구에서는 분할정복 접근법을 통해 적은 컴퓨팅 자원으로 딥러닝 모델 학습을 위한 충분한 양의 데이터를 확보하는 방법을 소개한다. 제안된 방법은 높은 해상도의 이미지를 분할하고 각 영역에 조건 레이블을 부여한 후, 독립적인 부분 영역과 경계를 학습시켜, 경계 손실이 일관적인 이미지를 생성하도록 유도한다. 이후, 분할된 이미지를 하나로 통합하여, 최종적으로 모델이 고해상도의 이미지를 생성하도록 구성하였다. 실험 결과, 본 연구를 통해 증강된 이미지들은 높은 효율성, 일관성, 품질 및 범용성을 보였다.

상급종합병원 입원환자의 욕창발생 위험예측을 위한 Braden Scale의 타당도 검증 (Determining Optimal Cut-off Score for the Braden Scale on Assessment of Pressure Injury for Tertiary Hospital Inpatients)

  • Purpose : This study aims to establish an optimal cut-off score on the Braden scale for the assessment of pressure injury to detect pressure injury risks among inpatients in a South Korean tertiary hospital. Methods : This retrospective study used electronic medical records, from January to December 2022. A total of 654 patients were included in the study. Of these, 218 inpatients with pressure injuries and 436 without pressure injuries were classified and analyzed using 1:2 Propensity Score Matching (PSM), and the generalized estimating equation was performed using SPSS Version 26 and the R Machlt package program. Results : The cut-off value on the Braden scale for distinguishing pressure injury was 17 points, and the AUC (area under the ROC curve) was 0.531 (0.484-0.579). The sensitivity was 56.6% (45.5-67.7%) and the specificity was 69.7% (66.0-73.4%). With 17 points, the Braden scale cut-off distinguished those who had pressure injuries from those who did not at the time of admission (p < .03). In the pressure injury group, the Braden score on the day of the pressure injury was 14, with significant results in all subcategories except the moisture category. Conclusion : Our findings revealed that a cut-off value of 17 was optimal for predicting the risk of pressure injuries among tertiary hospital inpatients. Future studies should evaluate the optimal cut-off values in different clinical environments. Additionally, it is necessary to conduct multicenter large sample studies to verify the effectiveness of a 17 value in PI risk assessments.

성인 혈우병 환자와 운동: 체계적 문헌고찰과 메타분석 (Exercise and adults with hemophilia: a systematic review and meta-analysis)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of exercise in patients with hemophilia. Methods: We carried out a systematic review and meta-analysis in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. A literature search was conducted of published randomized controlled trials for exercise interventions from January 1, 2014 to March 15, 2023. To estimate the size of the effects of exercise, a meta-analysis was performed using the R package "meta." Results: Five databases were searched to obtain articles published in Korean or English. Of 1,150 articles reviewed, 13 were included in the systematic review and 9 in the meta-analysis. The risk of bias was assessed using RoB 2.0. The overall effect sizes of exercise interventions, calculated as the standardized mean difference, were -0.11 (95% confidence interval [CI] = -1.41 to -1.20) for pain, -2.13 (95% CI = -3.33 to -0.93) for joint health, 9.96 (95% CI = 7.51 to 12.28) for physical activity, and 0.59 (95% CI = -0.39 to -1.56) for quality of life. Conclusion: These findings suggest that exercise is useful for improving the joint health and physical activity of patients with hemophilia. Thus, it is necessary to develop and apply exercise interventions for patients with hemophilia to reduce their pain and improve their quality of life.

등온 시효 처리에 따른 Cu Pillar Bump 접합부 특성 (Properties of Cu Pillar Bump Joints during Isothermal Aging)

  • 최근 반도체 칩의 소형화 및 고집적화에 따라 미세 피치에 의한 범프 브리지 (bump bridge) 현상이 문제점으로 주목받고 있다. 이에 따라 범프 브리지 현상을 최소화할 수 있는 Cu pillar bump가 미세 피치에 대응하기 위해 반도체 패키지 산업에서 널리 적용되고 있다. 고온의 환경에 노출될 경우, 접합부 계면에 형성되는 금속간화합물(Intermetallic compound, IMC)의 두께가 증가함과 동시에 일부 IMC/Cu 및 IMC 계면 내부에 Kirkendall void가 형성되어 성장하게 된다. IMC의 과도한 성장과 Kirkendall void의 형성 및 성장은 접합부에 대한 기계적 신뢰성을 약화시키기 때문에 이를 제어하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 CS(Cu+ Sn-1.8Ag Solder) 구조 Cu pillar bump의 등온 시효 처리에 따른 접합부 특성 평가가 수행되었으며 그 결과가 보고되었다.

Genetic Parameters of Pre-adjusted Body Weight Growth and Ultrasound Measures of Body Tissue Development in Three Seedstock Pig Breed Populations in Korea

  • The objective of this study was to compare the effects of body weight growth adjustment methods on genetic parameters of body growth and tissue among three pig breeds. Data collected on 101,820 Landrace, 281,411 Yorkshire, and 78,068 Duroc pigs, born in Korean swine breeder farms since 2000, were analyzed. Records included body weights on test day and amplitude (A)-mode ultrasound carcass measures of backfat thickness (BF), eye muscle area (EMA), and retail cut percentage (RCP). Days to 90 kg body weight (DAYS90), through an adjustment of the age based on the body weight at the test day, were obtained. Ultrasound measures were also pre-adjusted (ABF, EMA, AEMA, ARCP) based on their test day measures. The (co)variance components were obtained with 3 multi-trait animal models using the REMLF90 software package. Model I included DAYS90 and ultrasound traits, whereas model II and III accounted DAYS90 and pre-adjusted ultrasound traits. Fixed factors were sex (sex) and contemporary groups (herd-year-month of birth) for all traits among the models. Additionally, model I and II considered a linear covariate of final weight on the ultrasound measure traits. Heritability ($h^2$) estimates for DAYS90, BF, EMA, and RCP ranged from 0.36 to 0.42, 0.34 to 0.43, 0.20 to 0.22, and 0.39 to 0.45, respectively, among the models. The $h^2$ estimates of DAYS90 from model II and III were also somewhat similar. The $h^2$ for ABF, AEMA, and ARCP were 0.35 to 0.44, 0.20 to 0.25, and 0.41 to 0.46, respectively. Our heritability estimates varied mostly among the breeds. The genetic correlations ($r_G$) were moderately negative between DAYS90 and BF (-0.29 to -0.38), and between DAYS90 and EMA (-0.16 to -0.26). BF had strong $r_G$ with RCP (-0.87 to -0.93). Moderately positive $r_G$ existed between DAYS90 and RCP (0.20 to 0.28) and between EMA and RCP (0.35 to 0.44) among the breeds. For DAYS90, model II and III, its correlations with ABF, AEMA, and ARCP were mostly low or negligible except the $r_G$ between DAYS90 and AEMA from model III (0.27 to 0.30). The $r_G$ between AEMA and ABF and between AEMA and ARCP were moderate but with negative and positive signs, respectively; also reflected influence of pre-adjustments. However, the $r_G$ between BF and RCP remained non-influential to trait pre-adjustments or covariable fits. Therefore, we conclude that ultrasound measures taken at a body weight of about 90 kg as the test final should be adjusted for body weight growth. Our adjustment formulas, particularly those for BF and EMA, should be revised further to accommodate the added variation due to different performance testing endpoints with regard to differential growth in body composition.

MAP저장시 포장재 종류, 광의 유무, 및 저장온도가 치콘 저장성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Packing Materials, tight Condition and Storage Temperature on MAP Storage of Chicon)

  • PE box, wrap, 그리고 25um와 50um 두께의 LDPE(low density polyethylene) 필름으로 포장한 치콘을 저장온도 $1^{\circ}C$$10^{\circ}C$에서 광조건과 암조건으로 나누어 저장성을 비교하였다. 치콘의 저장 중 생체중 감소는 $2\%$ 수준에서 외관상 품질 저하가 발생하였는데, 밀폐되지 않는 PE box의 경우 $1^{\circ}C$에서는 $2\%$, $10^{\circ}C$에서는 $3\%$의 생체중 감소를 보였다. 이에 반해 무공필름이었던 wrap, 그리고 25um와 50um 두께의 LDPE(low density polyethylene) 필름에서는 $1^{\circ}C$$10^{\circ}C$ 모두에서 $1\%$미만의 감소를 나타내었다. 포장재내 공기 조성은 이산화탄소의 경우 $1^{\circ}C$의 50um LDPE 필름과 10"C에서는 25um LDPE 필름 처리구가 $3\~4\%$ 수준을 보였다. 에틸렌은 가장 높은 함량을 보인 50um LDPE 필름에서 온도별로 $1^{\circ}C$에서 0.3ppm, $10^{\circ}C$에서는 0.5ppm으로 낮은 수준을 보였다. 저장중 greening은 암처리에서는 나타나지 않았으나 광처리의 경우는 $10^{\circ}C$에서는 저장 3일만에 $1^{\circ}C$의 경우도 6일만에 판매하기 곤란한 상태까지 진전되었는데, $1^{\circ}C$의 경우 포장재 종류별로 포장재가 두꺼울수록 greening의 진행이 지연되는 경향을 보였다. Greening을 수치화 할 수 있는 엽록소 함량은 역시 저장온도가 낮은 $1^{\circ}C$$10^{\circ}C$보다 낮았고, 역시 이산화탄소 농도가 가장 높았던 50um LDPE필름에서 가장 낮은 함량을 보였는데 포장재 내부의 이산화탄소 함량과 총 엽록소 함량과의 상관관계를 조사한 결과 상관계수(r)가 $1^{\circ}C$에서 0.926 $10^{\circ}C$에서는 0.997로 고도의 상관이 있음을 알 수 있었다. Greening을 제외한 외관상 품질은 저온인 $1^{\circ}C$에서 높게 유지되었고 포장재별로는 $1^{\circ}C$에서는 50um LDPE 필름이 $10^{\circ}C$에서는 25um LDPE필름에서 가장 높은 점수를 나타내었다. 비타민 C 함량도 저온에서 높게 유지되었으며 필름종류별로는 25um와 50um LDPE 필름에서 가장 높았다. 이상의 결과로 보아 치콘의 저장 및 유통시 $1^{\circ}C$에서는 50um LDPE 필름이 $10^{\circ}C$에서는 25um LDPE 필름이 포장재로 적합한 것으로 사료된다. 또한 약간의 빛으로 greening이 급격히 진행되므로 판매과정에서 암조건을 유지하는 것이 필요하리라 생각된다.

한국전통발효음식과 전문가 치아미백을 시행한 자연치의 색조변화와의 관련성 (The Relation between Korean Traditional Fermented Food and Discoloration on Bleached Tooth)

  • 본 연구는 한국전통발효음식과 미백치아의 색조변화와의 관련성을 알아보고자 시행하였으며, 연구방법은 전문가 치아미백을 시행한 자연치아를 한국전통발효음식에 일정기간 침전 후 치과용 측색기를 이용하여 치아색조변화의 정도를 객관적으로 측정하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 치아시편은 30개로 한 치아당 30회 측정되었으며, 전체 측정 횟수는 900회 실시되었다. 측정은 치과용 측색기 ShadeEye NCC$^{(R)}$ Dental Chroma Meter를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 PASW 18.0을 사용하여 분석한 결과, 미백 전, 후 명도와 황색채도에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으며(p<0.001), 용액침전 후 명도와 황색채도는 시간에 따라 변화하였다(p<0.001). 침전용액에 따른 색조변화량의 차이를 알아본 결과, 미백 후부터 1주 동안, 2주에서 3주까지의 기간 동안 각 침전용액에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다(p=0.001, p<0.001). 한국전통발효음식은 침전기간과 침전용액에 따라 미백치아의 색조변화에 영향이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 본 연구는 구강 내의 상태 그대로를 재연하지 못하였기에 구강 내 상태, 섭취빈도, 구강위생관리에 따라 차이가 있을 것이다.

AFS 횡력 제한조건 하에서 ESC와 AFS를 이용한 최적 요 모멘트 분배 (Optimum Yaw Moment Distribution with ESC and AFS Under Lateral Force Constraint on AFS)

  • 본 논문에서는 능동 전륜 조향장치(AFS)에 의한 횡력의 크기가 제한된 상황에서 자세 제어장치(ESC)와 능동 전륜 조향(AFS)을 이용한 통합 새시 제어기의 최적 요모멘트 분배 방법을 제안한다. 차량을 안정화시키는데 필요한 제어 요모멘트는 슬라이딩모드 제어이론을 이용하여 구한다. 가중 역행렬 기반 제어 할당 방법을 이용하여 제어 요모멘트를 ESC의 제동력과 AFS의 추가 조향각으로 분배한다. 저마찰 노면에서 AFS에 의한 횡력이 물리적 최대값을 초과하는 경우 제어 요모멘트를 제대로 만들어내지 못하므로 가중 역행렬 기반 제어 할당 방법을 이용하여 AFS에 의한 횡력의 크기를 제한하고 ESC의 제동력으로 부족한 제어 요모멘트를 보상하는 방법을 제안한다. 차량 시뮬레이션 패키지인 $CarSim^{(R)}$에서 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 AFS에 의한 횡력이 물리적 최대값을 초과하는 경우 제안된 방법이 차량의 조종 안정성과 횡방향 안정성을 향상시킨다는 사실을 검증했다.

한국 여성의 피부색 분류와 의상선호색에 관한 연구 (Classifications of the Skin Colors on Korean women and their Preference Colors of Apparel)

  • The textile industry is petting increased effort to manufacture the value-added products that gives the differentiated characters at every level of fiber and fabric production. The color is an important element to be used strategically in order to push up the value-added design. The colors of apparel products have a close relationship with the skin colors of consumers and their preference colors. This study was carried out to cluster the skin colors of the Korean women into several similar skin colors and to analyze their preference colors by the classified groups. We measured the skin colors of 354 Korean women. With color spectrometer, JX-777, we measured 4 points of the body; cheek with removing cosmetics off, forehead, rear neck and arm on the interior part near elbow. All subjects had been shown with 40 color chips and answered the preference colors and preference colors of apparel. Data were analysed to classify skin colors using K-means Cluster Analysis and Duncan test, Frequency and Chi square test on the preference colors about the clustered 3 groups. In doing so, we used in SPSS Win 10 statistical package. Findings were as fellows: 1) The skin colors of the Korean women were clustered into YR, R, and Y skin colors. The majority of the subjects, 324 observations had YR skin colors and the subjects were classified into 3 kinds of skin color groups who had YR skin colors. 2) The average skin colors of total 324 subjects was 5.23YR 6.49/4.09 in Munsell Color System(MCS), 66.56 in L value, 10.53 in a value, and 20.67 in b value. 3) The average skin color of Type 1 was 7.98YR 6.24/4.14 in MCS, 64.10 in L value, 15.05 in a value, and 24.0 in b value. For Type 2 was 7.30 YR 6.56/3.28 in MCS, 67.24 in L value, 6.89 in a value, and 18.4 in b value, and Type 3 was 7.01 YR 7.20/4.38 in MCS, 73.53 in L value, L 16.04 in a value, and 24.87 in b value. 4) The average face color of total 324 subjects was 7.31YR 6.65/3.56 in MCS, 68.13 in L value, 9.53 in a value, and 20.18 in b value. 5) The average face color of Type 1 was 4.19 YR 6.92/5.05 in MCS, 70.78 in L value, 13.2 in a value, and 25.32 in b value. For Type 2 was 5.24YR 6.33/3.79 in MCS, 64.94 in L value, 9.84 in a value, and 19.08 in b value. Type 3 was 5.4YR 6.85/4.68 in MCS, 70.1 in L value, 11.73 in a value, and 23.92 in b value. 6) The difference of mean values between the clustered 3 skin color groups showed significantly different except the a value of neck and H value of cheeks and H value of foreheads. 7) All 3 groups showed that the most preference colors and the most preference colors of apparel was 5R 4/14. and their preference colors were much more than the preference colors of apparel.
