In the era of super-aged societies, research and development (R&D) projects related to aging are very important agenda for establishing the direction of future R&D planning and technological competitiveness in the country. In order to respond promptly to this agenda, it is essential to establish a national-level convergence R&D policy. In this study, we utilized the global R&D funding project data from major nations (US, Europe, Japan), and then standardized them with the same fields. To analyze the current status of global R&D related to aging, we performed cluster analysis based on the co-occurrence matrix to explore convergence R&D areas in the US, Europe, and Japan related to aging. In addition, comparative analysis by country suggested that different points on the interdisciplinary area and the convergence of aging-related R&D by each country. These results provide fundamental understandings for the status of convergence in aging-related global R&D, the current technology trends, and establish the direction and strategy of R&D policy.

본 연구의 목적은 기술혁신형중소기업(이노비즈)의 건전한 성장발전을 위하여 기업의 중요한 전략적 자원으로 인식되고 있는 기술혁신능력과 기술사업화능력이 시장정보지향성을 매개로 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 기술혁신형중소기업의 효율적인 경영관리와 정부의 정책방향에 시사점을 제공하고자 하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 우리나라 기술혁신형 중소기업를 대상으로 오슬로매뉴얼과 선행연구를 토대로 연구개발능력, 기술축적능력, 기술혁신체제를 기술혁신능력으로, 제품화능력, 생산화능력, 마케팅능력을 기술사업화능력으로 구성하고, 이들 요인들이 시장정보지향성을 매개 변수로 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 실증분석을 통하여 검증하였다. 연구결과에 의하면, 제품경쟁력 향상과 같은 기술의 상업적 성과와 직접적인 관련이 있는 경영성과는 기술혁신체제나 생산화능력, 마케팅능력 등의 경영관리적 측면에서의 능력이 상대적으로 큰 영향을 미치며 기술적 성과를 의미하는 신기술/신제품개발 성과는 연구개발능력, 기술축적능력, 제품화능력 등 공학적 측면에서의 능력이 상대적으로 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 보여 주었다. 또한 시장정보지향성과 관련하여 신기술/신제품개발 등의 기술적 성공을 위해서는 조직내부에서의 정보확산 수준이 상대적으로 크게 부각되고 있고, 제품경쟁력 향상 등 상업적 성공을 이루기 위해서는 정보에 대한 반응수준이 더 크게 요구된다는 점을 함축하고 있다.

본 연구는 국내외를 막론하고 SI 기업의 R&D에 대한 학문적 연구가 거의 이루어지지 않은 상태에서, 국내 대형 SI 기업들이 World Class SI로 성장하는데 견인차가 되도록 최초로 SI 기업의 R&D 모델을 제시하고 있다. 현재 날로 치열해 지는 SI 시장환경에 비추어 볼 때 향후 국내 대형 SI 기업들간의 보다 치열한 경쟁은 물론이고 국내외에서 선진 IT 서비스 기업들과 경쟁이 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 국내 대형 SI 기업들이 선진 IT 서비스 기업과의 경쟁에서 살아 남으려면 핵심 경쟁력을 확보해야만 하며, 이에 대한 방안으로 연구개발의 강화를 제시한다. 즉, SI 기업은 R&D를 통해 빠르고 복잡하게 변화하는 IT 기술을 적시에 도입하여 실제 프로젝트에 적용하고, 기존의 기술 및 프로세스의 개선을 통해 생산성을 향상시키며, 궁극적으로는 새로운 서비스 모델 개발을 통해 가치를 창출하는 목적을 달성할 수 있다. 이를 위해 R&D는 부가가치 창출, 미래혁신 주도, 신기술의 검증/평가/확산 담당, 응용기술의 표준획득 및 특허취득, 프로세스와 품질의 일관성과 효율성을 확보하는 역할을 해야 한다. 이러한 R&D 역할을 효율적, 효과적으로 수행하기 위해서는 중앙 R&D와 사업부 R&D를 동시에 운영하는 Hybrid Organization을 제안하고 있다. 또한 국내 대형 SI 기업의 R&D 담당자들과 설문, 인터뷰를 통해 본 연구에서 제시한 모델의 현실 적용성을 살펴보고, 바람직한 R&D 방향성을 제시하고 있다.

This study examines the relationship between R&D intensity and disclosure. R&D activities are essential in bringing innovation to companies. However, R&D activities are naturally uncertain and increase information asymmetry. Thus, firms with high R&D activities are more likely to have the incentive to communicate the potential of R&D investment to the market through voluntary disclosure and, concurrently, resolve information asymmetry. Meanwhile, incentives to less voluntary disclosure exist because of the proprietary cost and the risk of competitiveness loss. Furthermore, the uncertainties inherent in R&D activities caused the possible decrease in the information accuracy. For the two opposing views, this study investigates the relationship between R&D intensity and disclosure frequency using the Regulation Fair Disclosure data in Korea. Moreover, the relationship between R&D intensity and usefulness of the information disclosed is also examined. Using firm sample listed in the 2011-2016 Korea Stock Market, results show that firms with high R&D intensity make disclosures more frequent. Subsequently, the analysis using forecast sample shows that management forecast error is higher in firms with high R&D intensity. This research contributes to the existing literature by presenting evidence that R&D intensity is a significant factor affecting manager's disclosure behavior and information usefulness.

Technology innovation companies are focusing on contributing to business performance by R&D project as a strategic tool. Successful R&D leads to corporate competitiveness enhancement, national industrial development, but there are high uncertainty and risks in R&D. Public and private R&D projects are carried out to achieve various purposes. It was verified how the risk management and benefit management of the R&D project affect the detailed R&D project performance between the Public and private domain. The impact of Project Leadership on R&D performance was also analyzed. Those who have participated in the Public and Private R&D projects at companies or research institutes were surveyed. First, it was found that project risk and benefit management have partially an effect on R&D project performance. Second, Public and private R&D Project Leadership showed partially a interaction effect between project management and project performance.

This study is to investigate the relationships between R&D collaboration and competitive advantage in Korean international venture firms from the perspective of resource-based theory, organizational learning and network theory. The R&D collaboration is divided into vertical cooperation within the value chain and horizontal cooperation beyond value chain. The first key finding from empirical analysis is that both vertical and horizontal R&D collaborations have significantly positive impacts on technology based competitive advantages. The vertical R&D collaboration has more impacts on competitive advantages than horizontal R&D collaboration. This suggests that R&D collaboration with purchasers and suppliers plays a greater role for venture organizations' competitiveness. Second, the potential knowledge based absorption capacity and mutual goodwill trust also work significantly to reinforce the positive influences of R&D collaboration to the competitive advantage. This implies that mutual trust between partners participating in collaboration and absorption capacity within venture organizations would strengthen the effectiveness of R&D cooperation. This study provides the practical implications that the performance and effectiveness of R&D collaboration may rely on the nature of cooperation partners and internal organization capability.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the general influence of R&D on export, and to induce policy implications. The method of analysis is panel data analysis based on a data set of Korea, United States and Japan. The result of analyses shows that the influence of R&D on export is significant and positive. In addition, the results also confirmed generally positive relationships between R&D and export. It means that R&D is an important factor to raise international competitiveness of export commodities. We can conclude that the empirical results provide evidence to support the neotechnology theory of trade in the context of Korea, United States and Japan.

This purpose of this research is an attempt to measure and comparatively analyze the efficiencies and RTS(Returns to Scale) using panel data of OECD countries including Korea. In order to achieve this purpose, at first this study used efficient production frontier estimation combined with DEA for obtaining parameter estimates of a efficient production frontier. secondly using estimated results, measured R&D productivity and RTS(Returns to Scale) on all of the OECD countries. thirdly using time-series data related to R&D activity of korea, measured R&D productivity and RTS(Returns to Scale). Finally based on the results of R&D productivity and RTS(Returns to Scale) using efficient production frontier, some policy implications for enhancing the R&D competitiveness and the technological capabilities are discussed.

The change of the transportation circumstance related to the deep environmental pollution, escalation of the energy price, increasing social cost of the congestion and traffic accident, improving a income level, advanced social structure etc, is rapidly proceeded. For the corresponding this transportation circumstance, the role of the railway is being increased and that is friendly with environment, efficient for the energy, observed the time schedule and the transportation device which is high speed and safe mass transportation. In addition, government's R&D investment is being increased according to deeping a strength of the international competitiveness through the technical innovation. So railway's R&D investment is being increased. Accordingly, This study suggest improving a fruit of the R&D related to railway R&D system for a efficient R&D investment.
