The government is to prevent technology leakage in 2007, the Industrial Technology Protection Act was enacted and encouraging deployment of security equipment. in this study, corporate security equipment for the tried to determine the cause. In contrast to quantitative research, which is an existing research method, Barney G. Glaser & Anselm L. Strauss used a grounded theory as a kind of qualitative methodology in social science. As a result, it was found that the higher the government subsidy, the request from the representative or the client, the higher the efficiency through the prevention of technology leakage, the higher the sales increase, In the United States.
In the last few years the automatic classification of morpholgical landforms using GSIS and DEM was investigated. Particular emphasis has been put on the morphological point attribute approaches and the extraction of drainage basin variables from digital elevation models. The automated derivation of landforms has become a neccessity for quantitative analysis in geomorphology. Furthermore, the application of GSIS technologies has become an important tool for data management and numerical data analysis for purpose of geomorphological mapping. A process developed by Dikau et al, which automates Hanmond's manual process, was applied to the pyoung chang of the kangwon. Although it produced a classification that has good resemblance to the landforms in the area, it had some problems. For example, it produced a progressive zonation when landform changes from plains to mountains, it does not distinguish open valleys from a plains mountain interface, and it was affected by micro relief. Although automating existing quantitative manual processes is an important step in the evolution automation, definition may need to be calibrated since the attributes are oftem measured differently. A new process is presented that partly solves these problems.
Clinically, elevated cancer antigen 125 (CA-125) in blood predicts tumor burden in a woman's body, especially in the ovary, but cannot differentiate between malignant or benign. We here used intensive modern proteomic approaches to identify predictive proteins in the serum of women with elevated CA-125 to differentiate malignant from benign ovarian tumors. We identified differentially expressed proteins in serum samples of ovarian cancer (OC) patients, benign ovarian tumor (BT) patients, and healthy control women using mass spectrometry-based quantitative proteomics. Both the OC and BT patients had elevated CA-125. Quantitation was achieved using isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation. We obtained 124 quantified differential serum proteins in OC compared with BT. Two proteins, apolipoprotein A-4 (APOA4) and natural resistance-associated macrophage 1, were verified using Western blotting. Proteome profiling applied to OC cases identified several differential serum proteins in the serum of women with elevated CA-125. A novel protein, APOA4, has the potential to be a marker for malignant tumor differentiation in the serum of women with elevated CA-125.
Purpose - As socially responsible consumption increases, green marketing emerges as a new philosophy in marketing. A number of companies are now putting forth green marketing strategies. But there is no single definition of "green brand" that can be used interchangeably. In this paper, we attempt to explore the meaning for "green brand," especially in Information and Technology products. Research design, data, and methodology - The author developed qualitative and quantitative research design. In particular, the paper approaches this topic from the Asian consumers' perspective and applies ethical concepts to green brand research. For this, Chinese and Korean consumers were used as consumer segmentation variables to investigate their ethical perspectives. Results - Qualitative research showed that there are several attributes and benefits we need to consider for green brand. Quantitative study showed positive correlations of the two variables: the higher the consumer ethics are, the more they prefer green brands. Conclusions - The current study shows that consumers clearly have a certain propensity toward green brand equity. Thus, marketers should consider the consumers' evaluation about green brands. This paper also proposes that ethics have a close relationship with green brand equity, and companies may use ethics in marketing strategy management.

In silico methods to predict toxicity include the use of (Quantitative) Structure-Activity Relationships ((Q)SARs) as well as grouping (category formation) allowing for read-across. A challenging area for in silico modelling is the prediction of chronic toxicity and the No Observed (Adverse) Effect Level (NO(A)EL) in particular. A proposed solution to the prediction of chronic toxicity is to consider organ level effects, as opposed to modelling the NO(A)EL itself. This review has focussed on the use of structural alerts to identify potential liver toxicants. In silico profilers, or groups of structural alerts, have been developed based on mechanisms of action and informed by current knowledge of Adverse Outcome Pathways. These profilers are robust and can be coded computationally to allow for prediction. However, they do not cover all mechanisms or modes of liver toxicity and recommendations for the improvement of these approaches are given.

Existing Android malware detection approaches mostly have concentrated on superficial features such as requested or used permissions, which can't reflect the essential differences between benign apps and malware. In this paper, we propose a quantitative calculation model of application risks based on the key observation that the essential differences between benign apps and malware actually lie in the way how permissions are used, or rather the way how their corresponding permission methods are used. Specifically, we employ a fine-grained analysis on Android application risks. We firstly classify application risks into five specific categories and then introduce comprehensive risk, which is computed based on the former five, to describe the overall risk of an application. Given that users' risk preference and risk-bearing ability are naturally fuzzy, we design and implement a fuzzy logic system to calculate the comprehensive risk. On the basis of the quantitative calculation model, we propose a risk classification based approach for Android malware detection. The experiments show that our approach can achieve high accuracy with a low false positive rate using the RandomForest algorithm.

Due to the traffic congestion of the city and public transportation-oriented policies in large cities, public transportation is receiving attention and being used increasingly. However, relatively less research on the design and distribution of public transportation network and limitations in quantitative approaches have made implementation and operation practically difficult. Over- or under-supply of transportation routes caused unbalanced connectivity among areas and, thus, differences in time, expenses and metal burden of users traveling the same distances. On the other hand, the Space Syntax theory, originally designed to calculate the connectivity of urban or architectural spaces, helps generate quantitative connectivity of whole space simply based on the spacial structure. This study modified the original Space Syntax algorithm to fit the public transportation problem and showed how it is applied to a transportation network by creating an artificial GIS network.
Antagonists of the d -opioid receptor are effective in overcoming resistance against analgesic drugs such as morphine. To identify novel antagonists of the d -opioid receptor that display high potency and low resistance, we performed 3D-QSAR analysis using chemical feature-based pharmacophore models. Chemical features for d -opioid receptor antagonists were generated using quantitative (Catalyst/HypoGen) and qualitative (Catalyst/HipHop) approaches. For HypoGen analysis, we collected 16 peptide and 16 non-peptide antagonists as the training set. The best-fit pharmacophore hypotheses of the two antagonist models comprised identical features, including a hydrophobic aromatic (HAR), a hydrophobic (HY), and a positive ionizable (PI) function. The training set of the HipHop model was constructed with three launched opioid drugs. The best hypothesis from HipHop included four features: an HAR, an HY, a hydrogen bond donor (HBD), and a PI function. Based on these results, we confirm that HY, HAR and PI features are essential for effective antagonism of the d -opioid receptor, and determine the appropriate pharmacophore to design such antagonists.

The problem of location for industries and residential quarters has undoubtedly been one of the most important factors to enhance human activities and standard of living. Nonetheless. there seem to be no such theories or approaches as to cope with this problem satisfactorily. As a matter of fact the evaluation of proposed locations so far has stuck to quantitative factors and thus the results are often rejected by the public or individuals. In deciding the location of industrial complex and/or residential quarters, the qualitative factors often play more important role than the quantitative factors. Moreover, it is quite possible for a proposed location to be disapproved for reasons other than quantifiable factors. This work presents an approach to multi-stage decision process of optimum location, particularly for residential quarters. The proposed approach consists of four stages. At the first stage, candidates for the location are searched and checked against musts. After this screening process, the candidates fulfilling the musts are evaluated both quantitatively and qualitatively at the second stage. The third stage is devoted to the integrated evaluation using diffrent weights for the two factors. At the final stage, a location is selected among the candidates evaluated at the earlier stages. This approach has been applied to and tested on a apartment-building project in Ulsan area. Difficulties arising from quantifying factors were encountered as expected. Sometimes decisions could be a matter of taste of the individuals concerned.
Extensive groundwater abstraction has been recognized as one of the major challenges in management of coastal groundwater. The purpose of this study was to assess potential changes of groundwater distribution of northeastern Jeju Island over 10-year duration, where brackish water have been actively developed. To quantitatively estimate the coastal groundwater resources, numerical simulations using three-dimensional finite-difference density-dependent flow models were performed to describe spatial distribution of the groundwater in the aquifer under various pumping and recharge scenarios. The simulation results showed different spatial distribution of freshwater, brackish, and saline groundwater at varying seawater concentration from 10 to 90%. Volumetric analysis was also performed using three-dimensional concentration distribution of groundwater to calculate the volume of fresh, brackish, and saline groundwater below sea level. Based on the volumetric analysis, a quantitative analysis of future seawater intrusion vulnerability was performed using the volume-based vulnerability index adopted from the existing analytical approaches. The result showed that decrease in recharge can exacerbate vulnerability of coastal groundwater resources by inducing broader saline area as well as increasing brackish water volume of unconfined aquifers.
