홍삼가공품의 Ginsenoside 함량 규격기준 개선방안 연구 (A Study on the Amendment Scheme of Ginsenoside Content Standard Regulation for Red Ginseng Products in Korea)

  • Red ginseng is a widely used dietary supplement and medicinal herb, and there are so many forms of ginseng products including tea, extract, capsule and jelly. The purpose of the present study was to propose some amendments on ginsenoside content of red ginseng products in Korea. For this purpose, we analyzed red ginseng products for simultaneous determination of 26 ginsenosides by ultra performance liquid chromatography with diode array detector. Some developmental aspects of Korea's ginsenoside content standard regulations for red ginseng products are needed to be examined as follows : Firstly, we proposed that four ginsenosides ($Rb_1$, $Rg_1$, Rf and $Rg_3$) would be detected in red ginseng products. Secondly, in case of red ginseng extracts, the sum of $Rb_1$, $Rg_1$ and $Rg_3$ would be 4.0 mg/g. The two proposals are helpful to comprehensive evaluation of quality of red ginseng products. In conclusion, the scientific studies on amendment scheme of ginsenoside content standard regulation of red ginseng product are very important to fortify quality control.

Employee Trip Reduction in Southern California : First Year Results

  • Trip reduction policies are increasingly utilized in U. S metropolitan areas to address congestion and air quality problems. These policies typically focus on the journey to work and are aimed at reducing the amount of drive-alone commuting by providing transit and ridesharing incentrives. Severe air quality problems in Southern California have prompted the air polluation control agency for theLos Angeles metropolitan area to enact Regulation XV. The regulation requres employers to develop and implement a trip reduction program to achieve specified ridesharing goals. It si the most ambitious and far reaching such program implemented to date, and offers a unique opportunity to determine whether such programs can significntly affect travel behavior . This paper presents results from the first year of Regulation XV's implementation.

중국과 한국 시멘트의 품질규정에 대한 비교 연구 (A Comparison Study on Quality Regulation of China and Korea Cement)

  • This study generally compared and investigated cement type and quality of China and Korea. Cement in Korea is divided into five such as ordinary, high early strength, moderate heat, low heat and sulfate resistance portland cement. However cement in China is divided into portland cement($P{\cdot}I,\;P{\cdot}II$) and ordinary portland cement($P{\cdot}O$) with admixture displacement ratio and it is again divided into 6 level and 7 level with 28 days compressive strength. In addition China classified cement into several standards, such as Mgo, SO3,, igloss, blame, setting time, stability, strength, alkali and sampling test. Therefore it should be careful to conclude so quickly without right understanding whether quality of China cement is bad or good. The better way to evaluate China cement is synthetically understanding a value engineering and consumer awareness.

  • Since 1990s, the countrysides in Seoul Metropolitan Area have been exposed to the unprecedented forces like developing telecommunication technology, the boom of exurban housing, increasing concern about food quality. While these new forces are restructuring the social and spatial pattern of countryside, a legal regulation can be assumed as exerting an overarching moulding power. This paper shows how the legal regulation works in the restructuring rurality.

A Study on Audit Regulation Engagement Interview and Audit Quality

  • Purpose: This paper aims to investigate (1) whether the interviewed auditors conduct higher quality audit than the non-interviewed auditors and (2) whether the frequency of audit engagement interviews has an impact on audit quality. Research design, data, and methodology: Using a sample of Chinese A-share listed firms between 2011 and 2019, this paper empirically tests the effect of audit engagement interviews on auditor's behavior. We collect the data of audit engagement interviews on the CICPA's website. We use OLS regression, fixed-effect model and random-effect model to examine the association between audit engagement interviews and audit quality. Results: Findings indicate that the audit quality of the interviewed auditors is significantly greater than that of the non-interviewed auditors. The frequency of the audit engagement interviews is positively associated with audit quality. The interviewed auditors spend significantly more time on the audit. Furthermore, the positive association between audit engagement interviews and audit quality only exists in non-Big 4 auditors. Conclusions: Our findings provide evidence for the effectiveness of audit regulation enforcement. The results suggest that in an emerging market with weak legal systems, preventive regulations such as audit interviews have a deterrent effect and are necessary in alleviating information asymmetry and improving information environment.

분산형전원이 도입된 배전계통의 최적전압조정 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Voltage Regulation in Distribution Systems with Dispersed Generation Systems)

  • Recently, the domestic and foreign power trends are the supply of high quality power and environment conservation technology based on the new energies development. So, the dispersed generation systems, such as photovoltaic, fuel cell, and battery are to be introduced in distribution systems. According to the situation change, power of high Quality and reliability are required in distribution systems with dispersed generation. Up to now, the voltage in distribution systems are regulated by ULTC of substation and pole transformer of primary feeders. These days, Step Voltage Regulator(SVR) is getting established at distribution feeders to regulate effectively voltage of primary ffeders that voltage drop exceeds $5\%$. But, because SVR is operated independently with ULTC of substation, SVR can not take play to its full effectivity. Under these circumstances, in order to deliver suitable voltages to as many customers as possible, new optimal voltage regulation algorithms are required in distribution system. So, this paper presents optimal voltage regulation algorithm to regulate voltage effectively for ULTC and SVR in distribution systems with dispersed generation systems.

  • With the development of industry and the improvement of living standards, better quality in power electric service is required more than ever before. Under these circumstances, to deliver reasonable voltage regulation methods in distribution systems need to be developed. So, This paper deals with optimal introduction of the line voltage regulator (SVR : Step Voltage Regulator) in power distribution systems. First, This paper investigates characteristics of SVR and performs economic evaluation of SVR's introduction by using Present Worth Method. This paper, also suggests proper location and optimal voltage regulation algorithm. In order to deliver suitable voltages to as many customers as possible, the optimal sending voltage of SVR should be decided by the effective operation of voltage regulators at the distribution feeders. The simulation results using a model distribution system and real distribution systems show that the proposed methods can be a practical tool for the voltage regulation in distribution systems.

타인양육 영아의 정서조절: 격리 및 타인양육 특성과 어머니 및 영아 특성의 영향 (Emotion Regulation Among Nonmaternal Care Infants: The Effect of Separation/Nonmaternal Care Experiences and Child/Mother Variables)

  • The purpose of this investigation was to examine whether early child-care experience, alone or in combination with mother/child factors, was associated with emotion regulation. Participants were forty 12-18 month-old infants, their mothers and their caregivers. Infants were observed in the Strange Situation to assess the pattern of emotion regulation. Mothers were interviewed, given Questionnaires, and observed in play. Caregivers were observed in child care to assess the caregiving environment. There were significant main effects of good quality child care on open emotion expression and heightening emotion expression. Significant interaction effects revealed that infants were more likely to be open emotion expression when high maternal sensitivity /responsiveness was combined with good quality child care, or nonmaterial care initiated prior to six month of age. Infants were more likely to be minimizing emotion expression when low maternal sensitivity/responsiveness was combined with nonmaternal care initiated after six month of age, or more than one care arrangement. Difficult temperament infants received nonrelative care were somewhat more likely to be minimizing emotion expression. Infants were more Likely to be heightening emotion expression when high maternal sensitivity/responsiveness was combined with relative care. Boys experiencing nonrelative care were more Likely to be heightening emotion expression.

개방형BIM기반의 건축법규검토를 위한 법규유형화 및 적용방안 (Building Code Typology and Application for Open BIM based Code Checking)

  • Recently, Productivity of the construction industry has been decreasing than other industries. Because of this, BIM is being spread in the construction industry. However, quality criteria for BIM data is insufficient. Regulation information is an important factor for initial architectural design evaluations. However, building code and related regulation are numerous. National building code structure in Korea is much more complex than other countries. The purpose of this study is to suggest the typology method of building code and apply to real regulations. To achieve this purpose, the authors have extracted required information to from original regulation for code checking and suggested mapping methods between extracted information and information of IFC scheme. In addition, the authors have represented EXPRESS-G diagram for extracting information from IFC scheme and suggested code checking method through stair case. Output of this study can be used as a base line data for automated code checking system based on open BIM. Automated code checking system will be utilized in architectural design evaluations and supported to increase design quality. It can be used to mount in SEUMTER that is the construction administration system of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT).

Astaxanthin supplementation enriches productive performance, physiological and immunological responses in laying hens

  • Objective: Astaxanthin is a natural super antioxidant. The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of astaxanthin rich Phaffia rhodozyma (PR) supplementation in diets on laying production performance, egg quality, antioxidant defenses and immune defenses in laying hens. Methods: A total of five hundred and twelve 60-week-old Lohmann Brown laying hens (2,243±12 g) were randomly assigned to four groups, each including 4 replicates with 32 birds per replicate. Astaxanthin rich PR was added to corn-soybean meal diets to produce experimental diets containing 0 (Control), 800 mg/kg, 1,200 mg/kg, and 1,600 mg/kg PR, respectively. The astaxanthin content in the diet was 0.96 mg/kg, 1.44 mg/kg and 1.92 mg/kg respectively. Results: Results showed that dietary PR supplementation tended to increase daily feed intake (p = 0.0512). There was no effect of astaxanthin rich PR on Haugh units, albumen height, egg shape index, eggshell strength, and eggshell thickness at weeks 6 (p>0.05). However, egg yolk color was significantly improved (p<0.05). In addition, astaxanthin rich PR supplementation significantly increased serum glutathione peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activity (p<0.05), increased serum immunoglobulin G content (p<0.05), and reduced malondialdehyde content (p<0.05) in laying hens. Conclusion: In conclusion, astaxanthin rich PR can improve the color of egg yolk, enhance the antioxidant defenses, and regulate the immune function.
