Effect of plastic film rain shelter installation in Asian pear orchards on frost and freeze damage and fruit quality

  • This study evaluated the impact of rain shelters made of plastic film on spring frost damage and fruit quality in Asian pears ('Niitaka') over two years. In 2021, during the coldest spring days (between 0:00 am and 7:00 am), temperatures dropped to -1.20 - 0.43℃ at 120 cm and -1.33 - 0.57℃ at 200 cm above ground level in the control. Conversely, the rain shelter treatment maintained higher temperatures, -0.40 - 0.87℃ at 120 cm and -0.43 - 0.77℃ at 200 cm. Flower damage was significantly lower in the rain-sheltered group, with incidences of 1.3 and 6.9% at 120 and 200 cm, respectively, compared with 18.1 and 22.6% in the control group. Visual observations verified the prevention of frost adhesion on flower organs in the sheltered group, compared with noticeable pistil death and petal browning in the control group. In 2022, when temperatures remained above 0℃, fruitlet stalk length was 5 - 6 mm longer in the sheltered group. The cumulative impact of rain shelters was evident in the improved fruit quality over the two years. This study suggests resilient cultivation strategies in the face of climate change to reduce frost damage, increase productivity, improve fruit quality, and potentially increase incomes of the farmers.

  • The rapid change in the financial market has led to a shift to relationship marketing, which emphasizes relationships with existing customers rather than creating new ones. Therefore, to achieve competitive advantage in the market, assessing service quality and relationship quality has become an important tool for financial institutions. The widely applied five dimension model has shown problems of dimensions overlapping and blurring with each other, which results in the lack in providing the marketer with practical administrative implications. Therefore, a three dimensional model, composed of interaction quality, physical environment quality and outcome quality, that could be applied in general to various service industries and, at the same time, categorized into service quality dimensions that are not ambiguous for marketers to manage has been utilized. As a result, in the case of Korean consumers, interaction quality, physical environment quality, and outcome quality were shown to have positive effects on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. For Brazilian consumers, physical environment quality and outcome quality were shown to have positive effects on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Also, a median effect of customer satisfaction was found. This paper reviews the concept and dimensions of service quality and relationship quality, as well as verifying the structural relationship between the two variables through empirical analysis. Through the results of the analysis, the paper compares the differences between two distinctive countries and present theoretical and academic implications.

기후변화시나리오에 따른 댐유역의 장기 수질변화 예측 (The Effect of Climate Change on Water Quality Analysis in a Dam River Basin)

  • To assess the impact of climate change on water quality in an impounded river basin, this study estimated future air temperature and rainfall in the years of 2020, 2050 and 2080 by statistically downscaling the simulation results from two GCM models combined with two emission scenarios (A2 and B1). Both scenarios were selected from the Special Report on Emission Scenarios (SRES) suggested by IPCC. The A2 scenario represents an extreme condition whereas the B1 scenario represents a clean and energy efficient condition which is similar to that of study basin. With the results of estimated climate factors and land use data, the discharge and the concentrations of BOD, TN and TP in the Andong dam basins were simulated using the SWAT model. The change in BOD concentration for the B1 emission scenario was greater than the A2 scenario in the annual increase range and the pollution level. The concentration of TN was decreased during March? June which is drought period and increased again afterward. In contrast to TN, the concentration of TP was generally decreased. The change in TP concentration was greater for the B1 scenario than the A2 scenario.

포장재질이 김치의 품질변화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Packaging Material on Quality of Kimchi During Storage)

  • 김치를 Ny/PE, Ny/CPP(PP tray+Ny/CPP cover), Cryovac BK-1, BK-4, PET/Al/PE film으로 포장하여 $5^{\circ}C$ (97%RH), $20^{\circ}C$ (76%RH)에서 저장 중 품질변화를 살펴보았다. 김치의 품질을 평가하기 위하여 포장내 가스조성, pH, 산도, 색도, 젖산균 수, 기호도를 기간별로 측정하였다. 포장내 가스조성은 PET/Al/PE film 포장김치가 저장초기에 산소농도가 높았고, 저장말기에 이산화탄소농도가 거의 100% 수준에 달하였다. Cryovac BK-1, BK-4로 포장된 김치는 발효가 진행되면서 이산화탄소농도가 증가하다가 가스투과성에 의한 이산화탄소의 방출과 외부공기의 유입으로 산소농도는 증가하고 이산화탄소농도는 감소하는 형태를 보였으며 저장말기까지 Ny/PE, Ny/CPP, PET/Al/PE와는 달리 포장의 팽배화 현상은 나타나지 않았다. pH 변화는 포장재질에 따른 차이가 크지 않았으나 Cryovac BK-1, BK-4가 저장중 다른 포장재질에 비하여 약간 낮은 pH를 나타냈으며, 산도는 약간 높았다. 저장중 김치의 색도변화가 포장재질에 따라 달랐으며, 포장재질별 젖산균수, 기호도 변화는 저장온도 모두에서 유의적인 차이가 없는것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 본 실험에 사용한 포장재질이 김치의 품질에 미치는 영향은 크게 다르지 않다고 여겨졌고, 저장 및 유통시 문제점인 팽배화현상을 방지하기 위해서는 현재 업체에서 사용하는 기체차단성이 높은 포장재보다는 상대적으로 이산화탄소의 투과도가 높은 포장재의 사용이 바람직하다고 사료된다.

금융 서비스의 지각된 전반적 품질에 미치는 영향 요인 및 성과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Factors Influencing Perceived Overall Quality and Performance in Financial Services)

  • 자본시장통합법이 본격적으로 시행됨에 따라 국내 금융 시장은 과거와 다른 새로운 환경에 직면하고 있다. 이런 변화는 금융 상품의 일반 고객인 소비자의 태도 및 행동에도 큰 변화를 가져올 것으로 예상할 수 있다. 금융 산업과 관련된 연구는 주로 재무적인 측면에서 이루어져 왔으며, 소비자 측면의 마케팅적 접근은 상대적으로 소홀하게 취급되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 금융 서비스를 대상으로 소비자들이 지각하는 전반적 품질에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇이며, 이러한 요인들이 어떻게 마케팅 성과로 이어지는 가를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 이론적 고찰을 바탕으로 통합적 연구 모델을 제시하였는데, 소비자 특성 차원 요인으로서 자기 효능감과 자아-브랜드 이미지 일치성을, 상품 차원 요인으로 금융 상품 매력성을, 기업 차원 요인으로는 금융 기업 명성을 주요 독립 변수로 설명하였고, 성과를 결정하는 매개 변수로는 지각된 전반적 품질을 제시하였다. 성과 변수로는 태도 변수인 브랜드 애호도와 행동 변수인 이용 의도가 포함되었다. 실증 분석 결과, 자아-브랜드 이미지 일치성, 상품 매력성, 명성이 지각된 전반적 품질에 긍정적 영향을 미치며, 이는 브랜드 애호도에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 자기 효능감이 지각된 전반적 품질에 미치는 영향과, 지각된 전반적 품질이 이용 의도에 미치는 영향은 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

요소수(Urea solution)의 온도변화에 따른 요소 및 뷰렛함량 변화 특성 연구 (Study on Characteristics of Change of Urea and Biuret Content by Temperature Variation in Urea Solution)

  • 대기오염에 대한 관심이 증대하면서 대기오염물질의 저감에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 차량용 요소수(Urea solution)를 이용한 디젤 차량의 질소산화물(NOx) 제거는 큰 효과를 나타내고 있다. 요소수의 품질은 국내법으로 엄격히 규정하고 있으나 요소수 내 불순물의 증대는 질소산화물 저감 효과를 감소시키게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 일정 온도와 시간동안 요소수를 가열한 후 요소수의 물성변화를 분석하였다. 또한, 요소수를 보관하는 저장용기와 저장온도의 변화에 따른 요소수 물성변화도 함께 분석하였다. 요소수를 일정시간 가열한 후 요소수 내 뷰렛함량은 증가하고 요소함량은 감소하였으며, 요소함량감소에 따라 밀도와 굴절률도 함께 감소하였다. 철제 및 PET 용기와 일정온도($30^{\circ}C$, $50^{\circ}C$)에서 실시한 저장안정성 시험에서는 물성변화가 나타나지 않았다.

수분 함량에 따른 바이오에탄올혼합 연료유의 상 분리 영향성에 관한 연구 (Study on Effect of Phase Separation of Bioethanol Blends Fuel by Water Contents)

  • When bioethanol and water are mixed at a proper ratio, phase separation can occur because of the immiscibility of biobutanol with water. Phase separation in bioethanol blends fuels is a major problem for gasoline vehicle users due to effect of octane number and component corrosion. Thus, in this study, the phase separation of bioethanol was examined effect of bioethanol blends (E3 (3 vo.% bioethanol in gasoline), E5 and E10) in presence of water. The effect were evaluated behavior with phase separation test, simulation test of fuel tank in gas station according to water addition volume and it was investigated change of water content, bioethanol content and octane number for gasoline phase in bioethanol blends (E3, E5 and E10) every 1 week after water addition. The E3 occurred phase separation more easily than the E5 and E10 in small water contents because solubility of water on ethanol content difference in gasoline-ethanol. It was kept a initial level of water content, bioethanol content, and octane number by repeated sample replacing in simulation test of fuel tank.

의료기관 이용고객의 재방문의도와 구전효과에 영향을 미치는 서비스 품질요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Revisiting Intentions of Medical Institution Customers and Service Quality Factors Influencing Word-of-Mouth Effect)

  • The biggest change in the current medical service market is the shift from producer-based approach to customer-based approach. Thus, there is a high necessity for an introduction of market-oriented and customer-oriented marketing activities in medical institutions. Especially, revisitation and positive word-of-mouth of customers are the most effective marketing methods of consistently obtaining customers and drawing new loyal customers. Hence, the factors influencing the reuse of medical services and word-of-mouth are demonstrated using SERVQUAL, and the results show that the service factors influencing reuse intentions on medical services are assurance, responsiveness, and tangibles and the factors strengthening word-of-mouth are empathy and assurance on the services provided by medical institutions. This study has determined that revistation and word-of-mouth of customers are not only influenced by satisfaction on medical services but by the quality itself as well. Therefore, medical service providers need to pursue standardized strategies in order to enhance the quality of medical services simultaneously in addition to simply increasing the customer satisfaction level.

환기량 변화에 따른 신축공동주택의 실내공기질 개선효과 검토 (The Effect on Indoor Air Quality Improvement by Ventilation Rate in Newly Built Apartment)

  • The recent indoor air quality problem in a newly-built apartment house is resulted from the improvement of airtightness performance and the use of the building material contained harmful chemical substances. As a result, these cause indoor air quality gradually to become worse and the harmful effect on occupant health called Sick House Syndrome. The most effective solution to improve the indoor air quality is to encourage the use of green building material. However, if the house is built with general building material, ventilation with outdoor air is alternative to dilute the pollutant concentration. The purpose of this re-search is to find optimum ventilation time in a newly-built apartment house at which the ventilatoris installed. It is found that the HCHO and toluene concentrations are remarkably decreased with the elapse of ventilation time and the concentration reduction rate is increased with increment of air change rate after one hour after operating the ventilator.

  • This paper empirically investigates the impact of winning a quality award by investigating the rate of return of a firm's stock in the stock market, and by analyzing the contribution and effectiveness to a firm's competitiveness. It also compares the effect of firms winning MB(Malcolm Baldrige) award with that of firms winning Korean quality awards on the stock market. A comparative method is used to analyze the change of award-winning firms'rate of return and then they are classified by time-series, cross-sectional, firm's size, award agency, and the year of receiving the award. The number of firms employed in this study is 74, however, multiple award-winning firms are included in the analysis, which increased the sample size to 118. Results indicate that Korean quality awards improve an award-winning firms'market value but not as much as the MB award did.
