Evaluation of Forest Watershed Hydro-Ecology using Measured Data and RHESSys Model -For the Seolmacheon Catchment- (관측자료와 RHESSys 모형을 이용한 산림유역의 생태수문 적용성 평가 -설마천유역을 대상으로-)

  • This study is to evaluate the RHESSys (Regional Hydro-Ecological Simulation System) simulated streamflow (Q), evapotranspiration (ET), soil moisture (SM), gross primary productivity (GPP) and photosynthetic productivity (PSNnet) with the measured data. The RHESSys is a hydro-ecological model designed to simulate integrated water, carbon, and nutrient cycling and transport over spatially variable terrain. A 8.5 $km^2$ Seolma-cheon catchment located in the northwest of South Korea was adopted. The catchment covers 90.0% forest and the dominant soil is sandy loam. The model was calibrated with 2 years (2007-2008) daily Q at the watershed outlet and MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) GPP, PSNnet and 3 year (2007~2009) daily ET data measured at flux tower using the eddy-covariance technique. The coefficient of determination ($R^2$) and the Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency (ME) for Q were 0.74 and 0.63, and the average $R^2$ for ET and GPP were 0.54 and 0.93 respectively. The model was validated with 1 year (2009) Q and GPP. The $R^2$ and the ME for Q were 0.92 and 0.84, the $R^2$ for GPP were 0.93.

Generalized Frequency-wavenumber Migration Implemented by the Intrinsic Attenuation Effect (비탄성 매질의 진폭 감쇠 효과를 첨가한 일반화된 주파수-파수 구조보정)

  • A method and results of computations are presented for the 2-D seismic migration process in the frequency-wavenumber domain for the laterally and vertically inhomogeneous medium. In order to take the intrinsic attenuation effect into account in the migration process the complex-valued wave velocity is used in the wavefield extrapolation operator, improving the generalized frequency-wavenumber migration technique. The imaginary part of the complex-valued wave velocity includes the seismic quality factor Q value. In derivation of the solution of the wave equation for the medium of inhomogeneous wave velocity and anelasticity, the inhomogeneous medium is mathematically converted to an equivalent system which consists of a homogeneous medium of averaged slowness and an inhomogeneous distribution of hypothetical wave source. The strength of the hypothetical wave source depends on the deviation of squared slowness from the averaged value of the medium. Results of numerical computation using the technique show more distinct geologic images than those using the convensional generalized frequency-wavenumber migration. Especially, the obscured images due to the wave attenuation by anelasticity are restored to show sharp boundaries of structures. The method will be useful in the imaging of the reflection data obtained in the regions of possible petroleum or natural gas reservoir and of fractured zone.

Estimation of low flow by grid-based continuous hydrologic modelling (격자기반 분포형 수문모델링을 활용한 하천갈수량 산정)

  • 본 연구에서는 격자기반 분포형 수문모델링을 통해 하천갈수량을 추정하고자 한다. 분포형 수문모형은 단방향흐름 알고리즘에 의한 토양 물수지식을 기반으로 개발되었으며 운동파(kinematic wave) 이론을 적용하여 지표 및 지표하 유출을 모의한다. 또한, 격자별로 수문학적 물수지요소인 차단량, 증발산량, 침투 및 침루량, 지하수충전량 등을 계산하며, 댐·보 방류량을 해당 지점 격자의 물수지에 적용할 수 있도록 개발하였다. 본 모형은 2개의 다목적댐과 3개의 다기능보가 위치한 금강유역(9,645.5 km2)에 적용하였으며, 유역 면적과 하천 유속을 고려하여 1 km × 1 km 격자를 구성하고 10분 간격으로 2013년부터 2020년까지 수문모의를 진행하였다. 모형의 입력자료로 유역 인근의 12개 기상관측소로부터 시단위 기상자료를 구축하였으며, 모형의 검보정은 일단위 관측유량(Q), 플럭스 타워 증발산량, 실측 토양수분 및 지하수위 자료를 구축하여 활용하였다. 댐 및 보 지점에 대해 Q와 1/Q로 검보정을 수행한 결과, 평균 결정계수(R2)는 댐 지점에서 0.53~0.65, 보 지점에서 0.46~0.69의 값을 나타냈으며, Nash-Shtcliffe efficiency(NSE)는 댐 지점에서 0.46~0.55, 보 지점에서 0.31~0.65의 값을 나타냈다. 공간 보정을 위해 증발산량, 토양수분, 지하수위에 대한 검보정을 수행할 예정이며, 유황곡선을 활용하여 하천차수, 토양속성 및 토지이용에 따른 하천갈수량을 분석할 예정이다.

A Study of the Relationships among RMR, Q-system and GSI Applied to Classify Rock Mass of Limestone Mine (석회석 광산의 암반 분류에 적용된 RMR, Q-system, GSI 간의 상관성 연구)

  • A total of 22 sites around openings of limestone mine are chosen to assess rock mass classification schemes such as RMR, Q-system, and GSI. RMR and Q are modified to estimate the relationship with GSI. Q' is the modified Q with SRF=1.0 and $J_w=1.0$. Rock mass is assumed to be completely dry and very favorable discontinuity orientations are assumed to estimate ${RMR_{89}}^{\prime}$. Relationships of Q-Basic RMR, Q-Total RMR, ${GSI-RMR_{89}}^{\prime}$, and GSI-Q' are analyzed, in which a correlation of ${GSI-RMR_{89}}^{\prime}$ is found to be the highest. Failure strains are calculated using the modulus ratios and most measuring sites appear to be stable with low failure strain class.

  • In recent wireless communications, direct conversion transceiver or If sampling SDR-based receivers have being designed as an alternative to conventional transceiver topologies. In direct conversion receiver a.chitectu.e, the 1.equency/phase offset between the RF input signal and the local oscillator signal is a major impairment factor even though the conventional AFC/APC compensates the service deterioration due to the offset. To rover the limited tracking range of the conventional method and effectively aid compensation scheme in terms of I/Q channel imbalances, the frequency/phase offset compensation in RF-front end signal stage is proposed in this paper. In RF-front end, the varying phase offset besides the fixed large frequency/phase offset are corrected by using early-late phase compensator. A more simple frequency and phase tacking function in digital signal processing stage of direct conversion receiver is effectively available by an ingenious frequency/phase offset tracking method in RF front-end stage.

A Quantitative Analysis of I/Q Regeneration and I/Q Mismatch in Multi-Port Junction-based Direct Receivers (다중 접합 기반 수신기의 I/Q 재생성과 I/Q 부정합의 정량적 분석)

  • This paper proves that multi-port junction-based direct receivers (MPDRs) can regenerate I- and Q-channel signals accurately by using conventional I/Q mismatch compensation. This proof enables MPDRs to be integrated into existing RFIC based systems without additional digital signal processing. This paper analyzes the relationship between accuracy of I/Q regeneration parameters and degree of I/Q mismatch, and shows that the estimation results and the simulation results are almost the same.

Face Region Detection Algorithm using Fuzzy Inference (퍼지추론을 이용한 얼굴영역 검출 알고리즘)

  • This study proposed a face region detection algorithm using fuzzy inference of pixel hue and intensity. The proposed algorithm is composed of light compensate and face detection. The light compensation process performs calibration for the change of light. The face detection process evaluates similarity by generating membership functions using as feature parameters hue and intensity calculated from 20 skin color models. From the extracted face region candidate, the eyes were detected with element C of color model CMY, and the mouth was detected with element Q of color model YIQ, the face region was detected based on the knowledge of an ordinary face. The result of experiment are conducted with frontal face color images of face as input images, the method detected the face region regardless of the position and size of face images.

  • In this paper, we proposed a method for face region extraction by skin-color hue, saturation and facial feature extraction in natural images. The proposed algorithm is composed of lighting correction and face detection process. In the lighting correction step, performing correction function for a lighting change. The face detection process extracts the area of skin color by calculating Euclidian distances to the input images using as characteristic vectors color and chroma in 20 skin color sample images. Eye detection using C element in the CMY color model and mouth detection using Q element in the YIQ color model for extracted candidate areas. Face area detected based on human face knowledge for extracted candidate areas. When an experiment was conducted with 10 natural images of face as input images, the method showed a face detection rate of 100%.

  • 높은 Q가 요구되는 고주파 신호 처리용 필터 설계에서는 흔히 SC 필터를 사용하고 있다. 처리하고자 하는 신호가 고주파수이고, 선택도 Q 값이 매우 높은 경우에는, SC 필터에 사용하는 증폭기의 성능이 빠르고, 직류 성분 이득이 커야만 한다. 이와 같은 속도와 이득이 요구됨에 따라 일반적인 범용 증폭기는 이득이 충분치 못하여 사용이 제한되고, 설사 범용 증폭기를 이용하여 필터를 구성하였다 해도 그 특성에 많은 제한을 줄 수밖에 없다. 또한 GaAS MESFET op amp의 경우, 최근의 논문에서도 60[dB] 이상의 이득이 제안된 바 없으므로, 필터 구성시 또 다른 설계 기술이 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 GaAS MESFET 능동 SC 적분기의 유한한 이득과 offset 전압을 보정한 새로운 구조의 적분기를 제안한다.

Analyses of Capacity and Lest-Turn Adjustment Factors for Permitted Left-Turn (비보호좌회전 보정계수 및 용량 분석)

  • 신호교차로에서의 효율적인 교통운영을 위해서는 비보호좌회전의 활성화가 필요하며 이를 위해서는 비보호좌회전이 허용되는 신호교차로에서의 교통운영의 정확한 분석이 가능해야한다. 본연구에서는 국내신호교차로에서의 운전자의 행태에 기초하여 USHCM의 비보호 좌회전 분석에서 요구되는 $g_f$, $g_q$, $P_L$, 의 현실적인 값을 산정하기 위한 모형이 제안되었으며 이에 기초하여 비보호좌회전 보정계수 및 용량분석 기법을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공용차로를 가진 비보호좌회전 신호교차로에서 주기당 좌회전교통량(LTC)이 5대까지의 범위에서 G(녹색신호시간)와 LTC를 변수로 한 $g_f$모형이 개발되었다. 둘째, $v_{olc}$$qr_o$를 변수로 한 $g_q$모형이 개발되었으며 제안된 모형에 의한 $g_q$값이 진주 및 광주에서의 현장관측치와 거의 일치함을 볼 수 있었다. 셋째, 1994 USHCM의 $P_L$모형이 LTC가 증가할수록 $P_L$값이 감소하는 비현실적인 모형의 구조를 가지므로 현실적인 모형의 구축을 위해 국내 현장자료에 기초하여 LTC를 변수로하여 $P_L$산정을 위한 단순화된 모형이 개발되었다. 넷째, 대향교통류를 통해 좌회전할 수 있는 유효녹색시간의 부분의 $g_u$를 산정하여 비보호좌회전 포화교통류율($S_{LT}$)에 주기 대 $g_u$의 비를 곱한 비보호좌회전 용량산정식이 제안되었다.
