This study examined the effects of underwear brand identity color on brand equity. A self-administered questionnaire mainly consisted of BI color, brand image, and brand equity for underwear. Five underwear brands (Calvin Klein, Yes, Solb, Venus, and Body Guard) were selected based on the frequency they were purchased in pilot study. To collect data, respondents were asked to choose a brand which they were most familiar with, and to assess BI color, brand image, and brand equity including cognitive value, emotional value and purchase intention. A total of 228 usable questionnaires were obtained from consumers aged 19 to 46. BI colors were classified into four color groups: Achromatic (white, black, gray), Vivid (red, blue, yellow), Pink, and Beige. Additionally, underwear brand images consisted of four factors: Sophisticated, Classic, Casual, and Elegant images. Findings showed significant differences in the four factors of brand image and cognitive brand value between the BI color groups. Also, the factor of cognitive value was higher for achromatic or beige brand color groups, than for vivid or pink color groups. Also, brand image factors had positive effects on cognitive or emotional brand value. Especially, the factor of emotional value was more likely to increase purchase intentions than cognitive value in the BI color groups. The implications for managerial decision marking in fashion marketing strategy were also discussed.
The purpose of this study was to explore consumption status of scented textile products and to determine differences in consumption behaviors of scented textile products among subject groups separated by demographic (sex, age) and lifestyle (health concern, fashion involvement, innovativenss) characteristics. A total of 530 consumers who had used scented textile products participated in the web survey for the study. Consumer data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, chi-square test, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and LSD test. In the results, the most often used products were small commodities, socks, bedding, and underwear of hub and flower scents. Consumers considered a product test as the most crucial information source and scent as the most significant decision making factor for purchase. Demographic and lifestyle group differences were found in some of the product types in use as well as in purchase behaviors (total spending amount, purchase venue, information source, considering factors when purchasing). The applicability of the study result to the theory of innovation adoption was discussed. Marketing implications were suggested based on the study results.

The study seeks to identify the factors affecting the green marketing element of students' food purchasing decision at Co-opMart supermarket chain in Ho Chi Minh City through the application of a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods that include probability sampling and convenient sampling of 400 students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). The data are analyzed with SPSS software using Cronbach's Alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Multiple Linear Regression and PATH model to test the model through the intermediate variable 'student's perception' and the hypotheses, identifying the green marketing effects on HUTECH students' food purchasing decisions at Ho Chi Minh City Co-opMart supermarket chain. The results of the study identify four factors of the green marketing mix (4Cs), namely, green commodity, green cost, green convenience, and green communication. All these factors have an influence on the student's food purchasing decision at Co-opMart supermarket. Cost is the strongest factor eliciting student's interest in purchasing green products, followed by convenience, then communication. Commodity has the least impact on green purchasing decision. This study proposes some feasible solutions for Co-opMart managers to attract more students using green food in the complex situation of contaminated food, which is extremely harmful to consumers' health.

While online shopping has been increased expeditiously, a significant portion of purchasing intention has not been converted into actual purchasing behavior without delay in online space. This study investigates the factors causing a delay in online purchasing decision even after purchasing intention has been formed. It identifies the uncertainty variables (information, psychological, and preference uncertainties) related to consumer needs and the situational variables (time pressure and past purchase experience) surrounding the purchasing transaction. Furthermore, the need for cognitive closure is proposed to moderate the relationships between uncertainty/situational variables and the purchasing behavior. The results show that the uncertainties and situational factors significantly influence purchasing delay. Also, the need for cognitive closure indeed works as a moderator between the uncertainty variables and the purchasing behavior. Practical and academic implications of these findings are also discussed.

Two hundred ninety seven families with at least one elementary-school age child were selected from four elementary schools to complete a questionnaire during April, 2001 in Gyeongju, Korea. Descriptive statistics, Chi-square test, T-test, and ANOVA statistics were used to analyze the data. The major findings are as follows: Families bought fresh fruits and vegetables at the public markets or the farmer′s markets and a large supermarket most frequently in both summer and winter. Families grew produce by themselves and bought them from farmers directly least frequently in both summer and winter. Families whose housewives had less than middle school education brought fruits and vegetables from Agricultural Co-ops and grew thens by themselves more frequently compared to those who had higher education. On the other hand, families whose housewives had graduated from 4 year college bought fruits and vegetables from large supermarkets more frequently compared to those who had lesser education. "Quality"and "safety production"of fruits and vegetables and "clean environment of store"were the three most important factors when they decided the place to buy fruits and vegetables. "Being treated as a valuable customer" and "ease of finding things"were the two least important factors. Families whose housewives were in their thirties valued "cleanness of the store"and "being treated as a valuable customer"important factors when they decided the place. Families whose housewives had less than middle school education thought that price, availability of public transportation, and availability of locally grown food were the important factors for deciding the place compared to those who had higher education. The price was the factor which low-income families thought important for decision making on the place to buy fruits and vegetables.
