하이브리드 선형이온원에 의한 유압 기어펌프용 Cr-DLC코팅막의 특성과 효율성능 (Coatings Properties and Efficiency Performance of Cr-DLC Films Deposited by Hybrid Linear Ion Source for Hydraulic Gear Pump)

  • This paper describes the results of the application of Cr-Diamond-like carbon (DLC) films for efficiency improvement through surface modification of spur gear parts in the hydraulic gear pump. Cr-DLC films were successfully deposited on SCM 415 substrates by a hybrid coating process using linear ion source (LIS) and magnetron sputtering method. The characteristics of the films were systematically investigated using FE-SEM, nano-indentation, sliding tester and AFM instrument. The microstructure of Cr-DLC films turned into the dense and fine grains with relatively preferred orientation. The thickness formed in our Cr buffer layer and DLC coating layer were obtained the 487 nm and $1.14\;{\mu}m$. The average friction coefficient of Cr-DLC films considerably decreased to 0.15 for 0.50 of uncoated SCM415 material. The hardness and surface roughness of Cr-DLC films were measured 20 GPa and 10.76 nm, respectively. And then, efficiency tests were performed on the hydraulic gear pump to investigate the efficiency performance of the Cr-DLC coated spur gear. The experimental results show that the volumetric and mechanical efficiency of hydraulic gear pump using the Cr-DLC spur gear were improved up to 2~5% and better efficiency improvement could be attributed to its excellent microstructure, higher hardness, and lower friction coefficient. This conclusion proves the feasibility in the efficiency improvement of hydraulic gear pump for industrial applications.

  • 다단연소사이클 엔진의 추진제는 예연소기에서 일부 연소되고, 연소된 고온의 가스는 터빈을 구동하고 터빈은 터보펌프를 작동시킨다. 터보펌프의 터빈을 통과한 연소가스는 고온 고압의 상태로 연소기로 공급되는데, 이때 연료 또는 산화제의 양에 따라 연소가스는 연료 과잉 또는 산화제 과잉 상태로 공급된다. 산화제 과잉상태의 환경에서 금속 배관은 작은 입자의 충격에 의해서도 발화 또는 폭발될 수 있다. 이를 방지하기 위해 로켓 선진 국가에서는 산화제가 이동하는 공간에 내산화 코팅을 한다. 본 연구에서는 해외 내산화 코팅 물질 분석을 통해 국산 조합분말을 개발하였고, 코팅공정을 수립하였다. 개발된 조합분말을 이용하여 코팅 후 내산화 시험을 수행하였으며, 그 결과 질량변화량이 -0.16%~+0.01% 임을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과로부터 개발된 유약은 실물형 연소기의 내산화 코팅에 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, 향후 연소시험을 통한 개발기술의 검증을 진행할 계획이다.

안경렌즈코팅용 소형 Sputter Coating System 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구 (Design and Fabrication of Sputter Coating System for Ophthalmic Lens)

  • 목적: 안경렌즈용 소형 suptter coating system을 설계하고 제작하고자 한다. 방법: sputter system의 target 설계에 있어서 Essential Macleod thinfilm design software를 이용해 AR 코팅과 mirror 코팅이 동시에 설계 가능한 Si target 을 결정하였으며. 그 후 sputtering 장비를 제작하였다. 결과: $SiO_2$$Si_3N_4$의 5층 박막으로 구성되는 AR 코팅의 최적조건은 [air|$SiO_2$(81.3)|$Si_3N_4$(102)|$SiO_2$(19.21)|$Si_3N_4$(15.95)| $SiO_2$(102)|glass] 이였다. Mirror 코팅의 경우, blue color 코팅의 최적조건은 [air|$SiO_2$(56.61)|$Si_3N_4$(135.86)|$SiO_2$(67.64)| $Si_3N_4$(55.4)|$SiO_2$ (53.53)|$Si_3N_4$(51.28)|glass] 이고, green color 코팅의 최적조건은 [air|$SiO_2$(66.2)|$Si_3N_4$(22.76)|$SiO_2$(56.58)| $Si_3N_4$(140.35) |$SiO_2$(152.35)|$Si_3N_4$(70.16)|$SiO_2$(121.87)|glass] 이였으며, gold color 코팅의 최적조건은 [air|$SiO_2$(83.59)|$Si_3N_4$(144.86) |$SiO_2$(11.82)|$Si_3N_4$(129.93)|$SiO_2$(90.01)|$Si_3N_4$(88.37)|glass] 이였다. 결론: 코팅 시간을 줄여 안경단가를 줄이기 위하여 안경렌즈 코팅 시 렌즈의 전 후면을 동시에 코팅을 해야 하기 때문에 sputtering장비 설계를 할 때 안경렌즈 전면과 후면에 동일하게 Si target을 갖춘 cathode를 사용하였고, 렌즈의 곡률을 고려하여 각 층이 동일하게 코팅이 되어야 하기 때문에 target-substrate 간의 간격은 12.5 cm에서 20 cm로 가변할 수 있도록 설계하고 제작하였다. 고품질의 안경렌즈 코팅을 위하여 고진공 펌프로 turbo pump를 이용하였으며, 코팅박막의 균일함을 얻기 위해서 치구를 회전할 수 있도록 설계하고 제작하였다.

  • The demand for an ice class ship is rising expected to rise according to the increase of energy consumption and the opening of arctic sea routes. Ice class ship should be designed to cope with the severe environmental conditions of arctic sea such as a high mechanical impact and abrasion damage, caused by pack ice, ice bergs and low temperature. The ice class ship hulls are coated with an anti-abrasion and low friction coating such as a solvent free epoxy or high solid-volume epoxy. These coatings require two-component heating pump and a high grade surface preparation. In this study, the coating performances for the arctic vessels, such as puncture absorbed energy, abrasive wear loss, friction coefficients and impact absorbed energy were evaluated. Based on this study, a proper coating performance specification for the arctic vessels was proposed and coating selection guideline in terms of coating performance and workability was also established.

  • 본 연구에서는 자이로 펌프의 내구성 및 내마모성을 향상시키고자 로타와 붓싱 재질 개선방안을 조사하였다. 질화강과 SKD11 합금 부품에 스퍼터링 방법으로 TiN Coating과 가스질화법으로 표면처리를 행하였으며, 기지조직의 개선을 위하여 SKD11 합금의 열처리를 행하였다. 실험결과 TiN Coating은 펌프 작동중 뜯김현상이 제거되지 않았고, 가스질화시 우수한 표면경도와 충분한 경화층으로 뜯김현상이 제거되었다. SKD11 합금을 열처리한 결과 높은 경도를 얻었다.

Design and Optimization of Solid Dispersed Osmotic Pump Tablets of Aceclofenac, A Better Approach to Treat Arthritis

  • The aim of this work was to prepare porous osmotic pump tablets for controlled delivery of Aceclofenac. Aceclofenac solid dispersion was prepared to improve the solubility by using the drug - carrier (Mannitol) ratio of 1:1. The osmotic pump tablets were prepared using the solid dispersed product of Aceclofenac. The formulation contains potassium chloride as osmotic agent, cellulose acetate as semipermeable membrane, poly ethylene glycol (PEG 4000) as pore former and sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) as solubility enhancer. The formulations were designed by the general factors such as osmotic agent and pore former. All formulations were evaluated for various physical parameters and, the in vitro release studies were conducted as per USP. The drug release kinetic studies such as zero order, first order, and Higuchi and Korsmeyer peppas were determined and compared. All the formulations gave more controlled release compared to the marketed tablet studied. Numerical optimization techniques were applied to found out the best formulation by considering the parameter of in vitro drug release kinetics and dissolution profile standards. It was concluded that the porous osmotic pump tablets (F7) composed of Aceclofenac solid dispersion/Potassium chloride/Lactose/Sodium lauryl sulphate/Magnesium Stearate (400/40/95/10/5, mg/tab) and coating composition with Cellulose acetate/ PEG 4000 (60/40 %w/w) is the most satisfactory formulation. The porous osmotic pump tablets provide prolonged, controlled, and gastrointestinal environment-independent drug release.

  • 본 연구에서는 자이로 펌프의 내구성 및 내마모성을 향상시키고자 로타와 붓싱 재질 개선방안을 조사하였다. 질화강과 SKD11 합금 부품에 스퍼터링 방법으로 TiN Coating과 가스질화법으로 표면처리를 행하였으며, 기지조직의 개선을 위하여 SKD11 합금의 열처리를 행하였다. 실험결과 TiN Coating부품은 펌프 작동 중 Coating층의 밀착력 부족으로 박리현상이 나타났으나, 가스질화 시 우수한 표면경도와 충분한 경화층으로 뜯김현상이 제거되었다. SKD11 합금의 열처리 탄화물 조절을 위한 SKD11 합금의 열처리 결과 경도가 증가하였다.

  • In recent years, the need for more fuel-efficient and lower-emission vehicles has driven the technical development of alternative fuels such as LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) which is able to meet the limits of better emission levels without many modifications to current engine design. LPG has a high vapor pressure and lower viscosity and surface tension than diesel and gasoline fuels. These different fuel characteristics make it difficult to directly apply the conventional gasoline or diesel fuel pump. Self acting lubricated groove design or coating can be used in high-speed and high precision spindle system like a roller-vane type fuel pump, because of its advantages such as low frictional loss, low heat generation, averaging effect leading better running accuracy and simplicity in manufacturing. Those design method can also affect the atomization of fuel from the injector and the formation of fuel film on the intake manifold. In this study, experiments are carried out to get performance characteristics of initial and steady state operation, The characteristics of vane type fuel pump were investigated to access the applicability on LPLi engine.

  • A roll-to-roll (R2R) continuous manufacturing system for a carbon-nanotube (CNT)-/silver-nanowire (AgNW)- based large-area transparent conductive film was introduced in this study. The systemic guidelines of the R2R slot-die coating process including roll eccentricity, wrap angle, pump accuracy, and blower influence were discussed. To simulate the coating phenomenon, we investigated the governing parameters of the coating process by incorporating the estimated relative thickness that was defined by combining the viscocapillary model and volume model. By using experimental and mathematical approaches, an excellent transparent conductive layer with a $40{\Omega}/{\Box}$ sheet resistance and 88 % transmittance was obtained; moreover, a dimensionless number identifies the correlation between the transparent conductive film and the anti-reflection film.

Carbon Nanotube 잉크 환경에서의 Si-Diamond-Like Carbon 박막의 내마모 특성 (Tribological Characteristics of Si-Diamond-Like Carbon Films in a Condition with Carbon Nanotube Ink Lubricant)

  • We investigated tribological characteristics of diamond-like carbon (DLC) in a condition with carbon nanotube (CNT) content of 1wt% in aqueous solution. Si-DLC films were deposited by radio frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (RF-PECVD) process on Al6061 aluminum alloy. In this study, the deposition of DLC films was carried out in vacuum with a chamber pressure of 10-5 to 10-3 Torr achieved by mechanical pump followed by turbo molecular pump. The surface adsorbed oxygen on the Aluminum substrates was removed by passing Ar gas for 10 minutes. The RF power was maintained at 500W throughout the experiment. A buffer layer of HMDSO was deposited on the substrate to improve the adhesion of DLC coating. At this point CH4 gas was introduced in the chamber using gas flow controller and DLC coating was deposited on the buffer layer along with HMDSO for 50 min. The thickness of 1 ${\mu}m$ was obtained for DLC films on aluminum substrates The tribological properties of as synthesized DLC films were analyzed by wear test in the presence of dry air, water and lubricant such as CNT ink.
