Research results for the pressure drop variance depending on operation conditions such as change of inlet concentration, pulse interval, and face velocity, etc., in a pulse air jet-type bag filter show that while at $3kg/cm^2$ whose pulse pressure is low, it is good to make an pulse interval longer in order to form the first layer, it may not be applicable to industry because of a rapid increase in pressure. In addition, the change of inlet concentration contributes more to the increase of pressure drop than the pulse interval does. In order to reduce operation costs by minimizing filter drag of a filter bag at pulse pressure $5kg/cm^2$, the dust concentration should be minimized, and when the inlet dust loading is a lower concentration, the pulse interval in the operation should be less than 70 sec, but when inlet dust loading is a higher concentration, the pulse interval should be below 30 sec. In particular, in the case that inlet dust loading is a higher concentration, a high-pressure distribution is observed regardless of pulse pressure. This is because dust is accumulated continuously in the filter bag and makes it thicker as filtration time increases, and thus the pulse interval should be set to below 30 sec. If the equipment is operated at 1m/min of face velocity, while pressure drop is low, the bag filter becomes larger and thus, its economics are very low due to a large initial investment. Therefore, a face velocity of around 1.5 m/min is considered to be the optimal operation condition. At 1.5 m/min considered to be the most economical face velocity, if the pulse interval increases, since the amount of variation in filter drag is large, depending on the amount of inlet dust loading, the operation may be possible at a lower concentration when the pulse interval is 70 sec. However, for a higher concentration, either face velocity or pulse interval should be reduced.
In this study, pressure drop was measured in the pulse jet bag filter without venturi on which 16 numbers of filter bags (Ø$140{\times}850{\ell}$) are installed according to operation condition(filtration velocity, inlet dust concentration, pulse pressure, and pulse interval) using coke dust from steel mill. The obtained 180 pressure drop test data were used to predict pressure drop with multiple regression model so that pressure drop data can be used for effective operation condition and as basic data for economical design. The prediction results showed that when filtration velocity was increased by 1%, pressure drop was increased by 2.2% which indicated that filtration velocity among operation condition was attributed on the pressure drop the most. Pressure was dropped by 1.53% when pulse pressure was increased by 1% which also confirmed that pulse pressure was the major factor affecting on the pressure drop next to filtration velocity. Meanwhile, pressure drops were found increased by 0.3% and 0.37%, respectively when inlet dust concentration and pulse interval were increased by 1% implying that the effects of inlet dust concentration and pulse interval were less as compared with those changes of filtration velocity and pulse pressure. Therefore, the larger effect on the pressure drop the pulse jet bag filter was found in the order of filtration velocity($V_f$), pulse pressure($P_p$), inlet dust concentration($C_i$), pulse interval($P_i$). Also, the prediction result of filtration velocity, inlet dust concentration, pulse pressure, and pulse interval which showed the largest effect on the pressure drop indicated that stable operation can be executed with filtration velocity less than 1.5 m/min and inlet dust concentration less than $4g/m^3$. However, it was regarded that pulse pressure and pulse interval need to be adjusted when inlet dust concentration is higher than $4g/m^3$. When filtration velocity and pulse pressure were examined, operation was possible regardless of changes in pulse pressure if filtration velocity was at 1.5 m/min. If filtration velocity was increased to 2 m/min. operation would be possible only when pulse pressure was set at higher than $5.8kgf/cm^2$. Also, the prediction result of pressure drop with filtration velocity and pulse interval showed that operation with pulse interval less than 50 sec. should be carried out under filtration velocity at 1.5 m/min. While, pulse interval should be set at lower than 11 sec. if filtration velocity was set at 2 m/min. Under the conditions of filtration velocity lower than 1 m/min and high pulse pressure higher than $7kgf/cm^2$, though pressure drop would be less, in this case, economic feasibility would be low due to increased in installation and operation cost since scale of dust collection equipment becomes larger and life of filtration bag becomes shortened due to high pulse pressure.
This paper describes numerical modeling for thermal characteristic of vapor-cooled current leads under pulse operation. The transient thermal analysis considers the temperature difference between a helium gas (low and a copper lead and temperature dependent properties of helium gas, copper and stainless steel. This numerical modeling was compensated and validated by an experiment with commercially available 100 A vapor-cooled current leads. A proper overloading factor was suggested for the current leads under pulse operation through this modeling, which can significantly reduce heat input to a cryostat.

A new method of driving the PDP(Plasma Display Panel) was proposed and its characteristics were investigated. Applying high frequency non-discharge pulses to an auxiliary anode resulted an increased region of stable operation, decreased delay time and increased light intensity. It is suggested that PDP with DPM (Double Pulse Memory) drive technique improves the delay time, luminance, region of stable operation and luminous efficacy compared to PDP with PPM(Planar Pulse Memory) drive technique developed by NHK Lab. in Japan.

Phase change memory (PCM) has attracted much attention as one of the most promising candidates for next-generation nonvolatile memory. In that regard, the purposes of the study are to propose reference of effective pulse parameter to control phase switching operation and to invest the effect of nitrogen doped in PCM materials for improved cycling stability and economic energy consumption. Switching operation of PCM is affected by electric pulse parameter and as shown in figure.1 are composed to RT(rising time), ST(setting time), FT(falling time) and the effect of these parameter was precisely investigated. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) was used to confirm fine structure and retention cycle test was conducted to confirm reliability. Finally improvement reliability and economic power consumption in quantitatively are obtainable by optimum pulse parameter and nitrogen doping in GST material. these study is related to the engineering background of other semiconductor industries and it have confirmed to possibility further applications.
The purposes of this study were to standardise the forest working system to design the intensity of working system in felling operation of the thinning forest in our country as well as to contrive the improvement of working method and the increase of productivity. For the purpose of investigating these, element working was classified by felling operation in softwood thinning forest, and a pulse rate were measured and analyzed. The results were as follow : 1. From the analysis of the pulse frequence measurment, the average pulse showed 108 pulse per minute for worker A in the total of pure working time, 130 pulse per minutes for worker B, 119 pulse per minute for worker C and 125 pulse per minute for worker D, respectively. 2. From the results of the pulse frequence analysis according to element working classification, the highest pulse frequence represented 115 pulse per minute for worker A in the circumference, 131 pulse per minute for worker B in the movement, 122 pulse per minute for worker C in the limbing operation and 128 pulse per minute for work D in hang-up. 3. If the original pulse frequence was 100% for workers, the working intensity showed as follow : worker A was 160%(original pulse frequence was 61=100%) for the total of the working intensity and 188% for the circumference among element working. Worker B was 220%(original pulse frequence was 57=100%) for the total of the working intensity and 229 for movement among element working. Worker C was 159%(original pulse frequence was 73=100%) for the total of the working intensity and 168% for limbing operation among the element working. Worker D was 156%(original pulse frequence was 70=100%) for the total of working intensity and 182% for hang-up among element working. 4. At the limit point of Labor performance rating, showing the total of working intensity, overtime pulse rate per minute was 30 for worker A, 207 for worker B, 14 for worker C and 67 for worker D. Worker B was highest in working intensity, and got physically a big load.

Unknown inputs observer(UIO) which is achieved by the coordinate transformation method has the differential of system outputs in the observer and the equation for unknown inputs estimation. Generally, the differential of system outputs in the observer can be eliminated by defining a new variable. But it brings about the partition of the observer into two subsystems and need of an additional differential of system outputs still remained to estimate the unknown inputs. Therefore, the block pulse function expansions and its differential operation which is a newly derived in this paper are presented to alleviate such problems from an algebraic form.

This paper presents the experimental results on the 3-electrode DC-PDP which has a common electrode to improve the PDP life cycle. The measured DC characteristic proves the effectiveness of common electrode absorbing about half of discharge currents. The waveforms for pulse memory operation of3-electrode PDP without crosstalk could also be determined from the I-V characteristics. The pulse memory drives of 8*8 cell array show the frequency response fo memory margin and the luminance efficiency of 3-electrode PDP are quite different from genrally known characteristics of 2-electrode DC-PDP.

The high operation frequency mainly reduces transformer volume in the power supply. A high frequency and high voltage pulse transformer is designed, fabricated, and tested. Switching frequency of the transformer is 100 kHz. Input and output voltages of the transformer are 250 V and 4 kV, respectively. Normal operation power of the transformer is 3 kW. Maximum volume of the transformer is 400 $cm^3$. The power density is thus 7.5 W/$cm^3$. The transformer will be installed in a metal box that has nominal operation temperature of 85 degree centigrade. The transformer and other high voltage components in the box will be molded with Silicon RTV(Room Temperature Vulcaniza) that has a very low thermal conductivity. Procedure of design and test results are discussed. Analytical as well as experimental results of varous paramters such as transformer loss, leakage inductance, distributed capacitance are also discussed. In addition, thermal analysis results from ANSYS code for three different operation conditions are discussed.
