  • Objectives: The study was to propose strategies and directions how to manage the hypertension and diabetes in communities. Methods: The survey data from 606 patients with hypertension or diabetes based on Community Health Survey, 2013 were analyzed and the hypertension and diabetes projects in communities for last 10 years were reviewed. Results: The patients visiting the primary clinics had statistically significant lower rates than those of teaching hospitals in physician's recommendation experience, perception level of attention from doctors, self-efficacy and health habit practice level. Since the Hypertension and diabetes registration and management system in 2007, there have been several trials for management of hypertension and diabetes such as Chronic diseases management system on the primary clinics, Community based primary medical care pilot projects, Post-national health screening management, and Pilot project on reimbursement for chronic diseases care services. Conclusions: The upmost urgent task might be to have a support system for patients' self care affiliated with primary clinics. To achieve it, it is necessary to expand the current Hypertension and diabetes registration and management system into nation and to find a way to attract the active participation from primary clinics.

  • With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and big data, a lot of medical data is effectively used, and the diagnosis and analysis of diseases has entered the era of intelligence. With the increasing public health awareness, ordinary citizens have also put forward new demands for panic disorder health services. Specifically, people hope to predict the risk of panic disorder as soon as possible and grasp their own condition without leaving home. Against this backdrop, the smart health industry comes into being. In the Internet age, a lot of panic disorder health data has been accumulated, such as diagnostic records, medical record information and electronic files. At the same time, various health monitoring devices emerge one after another, enabling the collection and storage of personal daily health information at any time. How to use the above data to provide people with convenient panic disorder self-assessment services and reduce the incidence of panic disorder in China has become an urgent problem to be solved. In order to solve this problem, this research applies the context awareness to the automatic diagnosis of human diseases. While helping patients find diseases early and get treatment timely, it can effectively assist doctors in making correct diagnosis of diseases and reduce the probability of misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.

And on the other hand, the various documents related to its service have been analysed. Thus, this paper will review the characteristics of the health service sector in the UK. In doing so, it will illuminate what would be the structural factors derived from its existing system, as a result, it will shed light on how the UK government makes an effort to resolve the problematic situation by reviewing the policy direction of Foundation Hospital proposed recently. In the next stage, it will analyse how all elements consist of the hospital management in the UK has been adjusted and be likely to be changed within Europe. More specifically focuses on how the private hospital service has been managed and related with the activities of its public hospital service-NHS Trusts. Also, under the circumstance, what private health insurance companies function will be studied. In conclusion, it will be concluded that what will be the implication of Korean hospital service market so as to correspond to globally open market by WTO. Methods: The subjects were 5,149 adults over 19 years old who participated in the 5th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2012. Data were analyzed by chi-square test and logistic regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 statistical package program. The questionnaire consisted of 17 questions of independent variables and 2 kinds of dependent variables including dental caries and periodontal diseases by direct interview. The independent variables included 5 questions of general characteristics, 3 questions of health behavior, 5 questions of oral health behavior, and 4 questions of chronic diseases diagnosed by the doctors. Results: The prevalence rate of dental caries was higher in those who did not regularly work out and did not receive regular checkups including dental floss and dental brush use. The prevalence rate of periodontal diseases was higher in male adults, smokers, and those who were obese and had diabetes mellitus, poor oral health care habit without using dental floss and inter-dental brush. Death investigation exists not only to prosecute the criminals but also primarily to protect the general public's health, safety, and welfare. The reform proposals of death investigation system are followed as below. Statutes require that the prosecutor be notified of certain deaths. All deaths that may reasonably result from anything other than natural disease should be investigated. A death certificate is a legal document which authenticate a death, therefore it is issued by the doctor. The postmortem examination must be rearranged on the university base and performed by the qualified doctors who are trained at least in pathology. The police officer specified in death investigation and forensic identification should be encouraged to keep doing their special work in many ways.

  • We describe the framework of a data-fuelled, interdisciplinary team-led learning system. The idea is to build models using patients from one's own institution whose features are similar to an index patient as regards an outcome of interest, in order to predict the utility of diagnostic tests and interventions, as well as inform prognosis. The Laboratory of Computational Physiology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology developed and maintains MIMIC-II, a public deidentified high- resolution database of patients admitted to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. It hosts teams of clinicians (nurses, doctors, pharmacists) and scientists (database engineers, modelers, epidemiologists) who translate the day-to-day questions during rounds that have no clear answers in the current medical literature into study designs, perform the modeling and the analysis and publish their findings. The studies fall into the following broad categories: identification and interrogation of practice variation, predictive modeling of clinical outcomes within patient subsets and comparative effectiveness research on diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions. Clinical databases such as MIMIC-II, where recorded health care transactions - clinical decisions linked with patient outcomes - are constantly uploaded, become the centerpiece of a learning system.

  • Objectives: This study investigated how Korean daily newspapers frame the present government's health insurance coverage expansion policy, Moon Jae-in Care. Methods: A contents analysis was conducted to construct news frames represented in the four Korean daily newspapers' editorials and columns on Moon Jae-in Care during from April 2017 to April 2018. News text was classified into three different layers of frames: expressive element, narrative structure, and implied values. Results: The analysis revealed that the frequency of narrative frames was as follows: health system improvement (20.8%), public burden (14.6%), opposition by doctors (14.6%), and populism (12.5%). The financial sustainability accounted for 41.7% of the value frame, followed by procedural legitimation (18.8%), and coverage expansion (16.7%). The results also revealed that reported frames were different among newspapers: Chosun Ilbo tended to report in a negative tone, while Hankyoreh shinmun and Kyunghyang shinmun used a positive tone. Conclusions: This finding suggests that there are salient framings in reports on Moon Jae-in Care. Based on the results, the government needs to present a detailed financing plan on Moon Jae-in Care in detail. I discussed another implication of media frames results.
