Over the last 10 years several Provincial Medical Center has been carried out rapidly in the welfare facilities in Korea. Provincial Medical Center is for public and economic. So This study is an analysis of the areal composition between the Provincial Medical Center and General Hospital in Korea. The changes of Provincial Medical Center are caused by role in the environments. The Factor of economic is more important than for public in this situation. This paper analyzes architectural drawings for 4 Korean medical center which constructed in recent 10 years in aspects of the spacial composition, presents areal composition and pattern of spacial allocation for researching hospitals. According to the areal composition of Provincial Medical Center is important in healthcare facility environment.

P.A.(public address) system is considered as an useful active soundscape appliance which can gives a place identity and vitality by introducing conventional musics, environmental musics, bird singing sounds etc. In this study, the main aim is to know the optimistic distance from the speaker and sound pressure level range of introducing sound. So, the sound pressure level of P.A. system due to distances were measured and subjects' responses with level variations were checked. The main results are as follows. Level range from 64 dB to 71 dB is comfortable for subjects. And the optimal level of introducing sound is related with sound source characteristics. The results of this study could be used for street furniture location design and P.A. system output level.

This paper studies the risks associated with local finance in Korea by identifying the financial status of each local government, including the financial burdens of PPP projects, and examined governmental future burdens related to PPP projects. We reviewed all fiscal burdens associated with projects, such as, for BTL (Build-Transfer-Lease) types of projects, facility lease and operating expenses, and, for the BTO (Build-Transfer-Operate) types of projects, construction subsidies that are paid at the construction stage, MRG (Minimum Revenue Guarantee) payments and the government's share of payment. Furthermore, we compared the annual expenditures of local governments on PPP projects against their annual budgets and checked if the 2% ceiling rule could be applied.

As the population of the elderly increases drastically year by year in Korea, this phenomenon is being a serious problem because of the increasing speed not having been showed ever all over the world. This thesis would propose the space organizing features for well-organized dementia hospital focused on the public living space. The way arranging each function is very important because values of the physical and functional accessibility have a wide range of value as each type of facility. Moreover, if the arranged function unit is the same as the territory of the space, it could be a good guideline on architectural planning.

The resistance of crowd pressure is an important performance to be influential on safety of facility users among performances required for light weight walls of public facilities. This study has empirically evaluated the estimation of size of crowd pressure to be applied to a wall of structure. For the load analysis test, the force plate with stiffness of 28 kN/cm was designed and manufactured. For inspectors, 15 males in the age of 20s were selected. The action of putting load was set as instantaneous push of plate and continuous push. As the load was increased linearly from the weight of inspector, the size of load was indicated as the load ratio. In case of instantaneous force, about 1.18 times the weight of pushing personnel was acted as a load. In case of continuous push, about 0.80 times the weight of pushing personnel was acted as a load.

The aged population increasing rapidly, the population rate of over 65 years old was over 7.5% in 2000 in Korea and it means that Korea is aging society. Increasing participation of woman in public affairs, becoming a nuclear family and increasing old aged people who want to stand alone brought about more the old households. But the aged welfare accommodation are still insufficient and more facilities accommodating the aged should be built. 80.5% of people according to poll by the Ministry of Health and Welfare responded the support of the aged is a serious problem in Korea. This result indicates the reality that the system for the aged are unsatisfied. Although these situations made a new concept of 'silver-town' of the welfare facility for the aged, it is under a transition in the aspect of the social system and the architectural aspect as well. This study will select good examples among facilities in the metropolitan area, analysis space and propose resonable program.

Infrastructures in Japan constructed mostly in high economic growth period become elder & elder, and the troubles & accidents caused by the aging increase. Though investment for the renewal is necessary, the shortage of public fund delays the action. Besides, we expect the decrease of the population that means the decrease of the engineers who take care of social infrastructures. Thus, it is necessary for us to develop Advanced Management system of social Infrastructures (AMI) to realize the efficient and economical operation. Our concept of AMI consists of using ICT, PI (Public Involvement) and establishment of O&M diagnosis system. We expect AMI will support to realize the appropriate repairing, preventive maintenance based on the actual performance, accidents & dangerous experience and education & training of the workers. In this paper, development of AMI for the waste disposal facility as a first example of infrastructures will be shown.

This study is to solve a problem of elementary school facilities' insufficiency in the reconstruction area of Ichon 1-Dong in Seoul. Results of this study are as follows; 529 students will be increased to Shinyongsan elementery school in 2004; 1,206 students will be increased after the reconstruction projects is completed in Ichon 1-Dong. By accepting these students I suggest alternatives in three aspects; the application of the existing facility, the establishment of new school facilities and the constraint of student demand by reconstruction development. There are some limitations and more themes must be solved. First of all, the flexible standards corresponding to various community's characteristics such as a builtup area or a new development area are needed. Secondly, the community plan must be prepared for many urban developments in a community area. Thirdly, reconstruction development must have an alternative for establishing public facilities. Lastly, the decision making system reflecting the communities' goals must be required to choose the best alternative for the community's public facilities.

최근 OECD 자료에 따르면 국내 성인 비만율은 낮지만 소아 비만율은 중위권을 상회하고 있다. 청소년기에 습관화된 운동부족이 성인이 되어서도 버릇처럼 남아있는 경우에는 각종 성인병 및 많은 위험에 노출될 수 있다. 운동부족의 이유로 운동의 흥미를 느끼지 못하거나 값비싼 사설 운동센터의 비용에 대한 부담감 등으로 체육시설의 활용이 저조한 것으로 조사되었으며, 이를 바탕으로 헬스부산 앱은 부산시 공공데이터를 활용하여 비용이 낮은 공공 체육시설의 위치 및 정보 제공과 아울러 운동의 흥미를 느낄 수 있을 만한 정보들을 제공한다.

Gemini is very adaptable and has multiple ways to apply for time, multiple ways to collect your data, and multiple instrument capabilities ready for your observations. Gemini also runs a wide-reaching program to develop and improve our instrumentation capabilities. We run an upgrade program for our existing instruments that includes an annual public call for proposals, a visitor instrument program that brings instruments like IGRINS to our telescopes for short to semi-permanent runs, and a facility program that provides entirely new instruments like GHOST and SCORPIO to Gemini for full public use.
