The KALIMER core, of which nuclear design is largely governed by inherent safety and reactivity control issues, is fueled with metallic fuel, and the initial core will be loaded with 20% enriched Uranium metal fuel. KALIMER safety design objectives include the accommodation of unprotected, ATWS events without operator action, and without the support of active shutdown, shutdown heat removal, or any automatic system without damage to the plant and without jeopardizing public safety. The transient analysis of the core designs has been focused on severe events to assess the margins in the design, and ATWS events are the most severe events that must be accommodated by the KALIMER design. The ATWS performance has been evaluated for the preliminary initial core design of KALIMER with a particular emphasis on the inherent negative reactivity feedback effects, including the Doppler, sodium density, fuel axial expansion, core radial expansion, and control rod driveline expansion. Results show that the Uranium metal core design meets the temperature limits with margin.

Asbestos is a commercial term of natural occurring silicated minerals and forms long, thin fibers. Chrysotile, the serpentine asbestos, accounts for most use in commercial use. Asbestos is well known health hazard material and it is proved that inhalation of asbestos fibers leads to increased risk of developing several diseases such as lung cancer, mesothelioma, asbestosis. In these days, people most at risk for exposure are maintenance and construction workers and general citizens who are working on and close to the work area at which asbestos containing material is disturbing. Non asbestiform, though its chemical composition is same with regulated asbestos, is known to be less hazardous than asbestiform. Exposure guideline, 0.01 f/ml, is not safe level in terms of health risk. It is reasonable to take preventable action when asbestos is suspicious. In Korea, it is necessary to clarify the concept between hazard and risk, to differentiate asbestiform from non asbestiform, to make regulations for compensation for asbestos related patients, to manage future exposure for general citizens.

Information, or the lack of information, is the central concern of many people. And it is now an economic resource and must be paid. An ever increasing gap will grow between information 'have' and 'have not'. The new communications market place is a social phenomenon, and a vital key to examining changing patterns of social and cultural inequality. There are two main arenas of action in this ongoing conflict. Inside the library system itself, a combination of forces is weakening the historic principle of free, socially underwritten access. Outside, great efforts have been exerted in recent years, by private interests, to capture the information stockpiles built up from tax-su n.0, pported outlays on research and development and general governmental activities that produce data. The for-profit a n.0, pplication of the new information technologies threatens the survival of the free access principles. And the commercialization of information is proceeding almost uninterruptedly. It has been extended into areas that historically have been regarded as non-profit-making and endowed with a deep public interest. This study discussed some general issues and what we should do.

Utilize several kinds of reinforcement fibers to control workability and surface crack in occasion of mortar used in dilapidated concrete section repair public law. Reinforcement fiber does important action that control crack that enhances coherence between material and happens at dry contraction. In this study, wished to use Sepiorite that inorganic materials and affinity such as cement are excellent nature inorganic world fiber and improve repair mortar performance. In this study, as reinforcement fiber, wished to grasp physical characteristics that uses Sepioraiteu and happens this time and grasp application possibility of concrete's repair mortar.

It is nearing the establishment of KAC(Korean Agricultural Chamber) as an institution for intensive reflection of farmer's public opinions in agricultural administration. In this study, researchers examined the management of Agricultural Chambers in France and Japan, which have experienced the action of Agricultural Chamber in advance of Korea. And discussed the anticipated change in agricultural extension taking advantage of departure of KAC. Discourses and movements to establish KAC is putting pressure the existing agricultural extension system into innovation. Taking a side view that there were little contribution of agents belonging to the existing agricultural extension agencies, the problem of restructuring agricultural extension system has assumed very serious dimensions. Therefore, agents in agricultural extension agencies should lay their own view before the probable reorganization of agricultural extension system.

Many public facilities including roadway, railway, and embedded pipe lines in this country have been damaged by the repeated freezing and thawing of the soil during winter and spring every year. However, there are only few research results in field of frozen ground in this country. Also, there are no the formulation of the reasonable equation for frost penetration depths and of the criterion for identifing potentially frost-susceptible soil in design manual of pavement yet. Through this study it is anticipated to asses the frost action problem in roadway, railway, and water suppply lines and to establish the design criterion about pavement in seasonal cold region.

Bronchial asthma is a major public health problem worldwide and the morbidity and mortality of asthma have increased in last few decades. There is high prevalence of usage of alternative traditional system of medicines for the treatment of asthma. Large numbers of medicinal plant preparations have been reported to possess anti-asthmatic effects. Plant cells are now considered to be the chemical factories synthesizing a large variety of chemical compounds. Further, Ayurvedic system of medicine has an elaborate description of asthma from the earliest times describing it as 'Shwasa' meaning disease pertaining to breathing. This review classifies the antiasthmatics herbs based on the possible mechanism of action reported. Thus, these plants can be used to obtain a polyherbal formulation which contains various herbs acting at particular sites of the pathophysiological cascade of asthma for prophylaxis as well as for the treatment of asthma.

The Study is to find out the thought of costume of the people who advocated the Wejung-chunksa. Conclusions are described as follows 1. The action to boycott western goods was the early response in the Wejung -chuksa Thought. The reason were in fear of ruin in chosun industry and worry about the westernizing the Korean. 2. The people of the Wejung-chuksa had the conservative character in order to maintain the traditional public order and the costume. They thought that costume have a role to distinguish between man and woman , the rich and the poor and so on. Therefore acceptance the wastern constume style meant that the Korean became a savage. So that they rejected the King's order about the dress-system reformation in 1884, 1895. That pointed that their ultimate purpose was to keep the traditional rule. 3. In appearance the purpose of the short-hair law was good for health. But it meant to destory the traditional order and to symbolize the civilization . Especially the short -hair in the people of Wejung-chuksa meant the destruction of the traditional rule and casting away the courtesy. Therefore they wanted to keep the value of the traditional costume.

As the public use part of the railway and the road, the railway crossing is important to work properly by two transportation means. Also, It is important to provide the good face of friction on the railway crossing in aspect of protecting the railway crossing accident. Lately, the material of railway crossing panel is the wood. the asphalt, and the steel. As they have a various fault, it was studied to analyze the structural action of the new material. rubber panel. This paper analyzed eigenvalue, stress and displacement by truck passing weight and thermal stress using the FEM model.

This study examined Public Evaluation for functions of urban open space environment using a marketing strategy called Importance-Performance analysis. 12 main function attributes for urban open space environment were selected 150 respondents were sampled in Taejon city by personal interview. Ratings used mean values from a seven-point scale. Results were then graphically displayed on an easily interpreted two-dimensional 'Action Grid'. Generally Importance Ratings were high, but Performance Ratings were low relatively for various open space environment functions. In air pollution control function the difference was the most large. The results of rating scale analysis indicated repondents' sexual and residence period difference.
